i think the fandom needs to learn how to treat serious things sensitively rather than making it some uwu cutesy thing that “i can put my angsty little blorbo man into!”
i see this a lot with the stripper darry stuff specifically—not really a sensitive subject but i think people treat it more like “oh he’s just a silly wittle guy and it’s so goofy that he has to sell his body for food!” like do you see how fucked up that sounds? while yes, technically, it’s just a job and an unfortunate way people make money, it’s not really funny when you look at why he would have to do that. he’s a twenty year old kid who goes between roofing houses (which is already physically taxing) and supposedly, stripping and selling his body just so he can make sure he and his newly orphaned brothers have a warm place to stay and food in their stomachs. it’s really not some cutesy silly thing like people treat it to be, especially when you put it like that. it’s worse when people write borderline trauma porn with him, especially in a fandom that’s mostly made up of minors but that’s a rant for another day (and i guess you can argue tagging it as such but still). i’m pretty sure the stripper darry thing was a joke anyway but whatever.
another one i see this with is the vietnam sodapop headcanon. maybe im biased because i hate that headcanon and his birthday was never called in the draft and the only way he could’ve fought was if he enlisted himself, and i can’t see him dropping his job and his life to stop supporting his family just so he can go and fight, but so few people treat it with dignity. it was a damn war from christs sake. people romanticise it so much with “but there’s so much angst potential!” like veterans both during the war and after it were notoriously treated horribly. they weren’t really seen as heroes by many because america had lost the war. i hate making such a comparison but there were even songs made about it like listen to the born in the usa album by bruce springsteen, there’s plenty about it. it just feels so gross to see people woobifying literal war in order to make extreme angst. dying in war isn’t funny or cute. being in war isn’t funny or cute. it gets to a point where yall are just being insensitive assholes about actual war vets.
same thing with abuse, like it’s borderline cringy in fanfics to read stuff about the gang being all “baby…talk to me…” or whatever. first off they’re teenage boys, and i don’t think most teenage boys really know what to say/do in emotional situations and secondly, it’s just a fact of life that johnny and steve get treated like shit at home. the gang wouldn’t really do anything about it aside from patch them up and offer food/shelter and in two’s case, tell at johnny’s abuser, but they’re not gonna force them to talk about it. johnny and steve are probably very uncomfortable talking about their abuse and such which is understandable, but the gang isn’t gonna try and force it out of them. maybe they would if it was really really bad but other than that i doubt they really want to push either of them on it. it’s just a fact of life.
the last thing is things like mental health and addiction. i don’t think people realize how tough addiction is, and babying pony’s addiction to painkillers is genuinely horrific. like addiction is extremely serious and not to get personal but it runs in my family, and i’ve seen how people with addictions act sometimes. it’s not cute and it’s certainly not funny. same thing with two bits dependence with alcohol. it’s extremely sad, and it’s more sad when you realize these things weren’t readily dealt with back then. mental health too, like fandom in general tends to make serious things like suicidal ideation and self harm out to be cute little hurt/comfirt, angst time things. i get people use it to vent—i’ve done the same thing. but can we treat it sensitively rather than just be like “oh it’s another silly scenario!”. it’s not funny and i’d never wish it upon my worst enemy.
i’ll admit that i’ve had my screw ups and have treated sensitive things insensitively in the past in favor of angst. i have no problem admitting that, but i’ve stopped doing that. it gets to a point where people water down serious things because “he’s just a silly little guy who i want to torture 🥺” like sure, hardcore angst may not be my cup of tea, but if you like it then whatever. but please don’t treat real things like abuse and mental health and sexual harassment/abuse and selling one’s body and literal war like “cutesy things that are so silly and goofy!” they’re not. i’m not saying you can’t have fun or shouldn’t write about these things, but you should treat it sensitively. stop woobifying serious things in favor of angst.
#prolly another unpopular post cause it’s long and tumblr people are sensitive af sometimes#i think people have to take the things hinton says on twitter with a grain of salt#the outsiders#darry curtis#sodapop curtis#ponyboy curtis#johnny cade#two bit mathews#steve randle#<- only tagging them cause i mentioned them#idk this bugs me

Having to block everyone who has "wincest dni" in their bio not because I ship wincest (because I have come to the conclusion that I actually don't) but because I do think it'd be fun to poke around at the very real weirdness of their relationship that I've noticed in the show so far. And I'm 99% sure that my poking around will get seen as shipping.
#andiv3r rambles#incest mention#stupid because i Don't ship them. i dont want them to kiss or whatever i just think they're Weird and would like to acknowledge that#and maybe play around with it . and try to figure out what the fuck is going on.#but nobody in any fandom wants to play anymorree#like im sorry they're weird. im sorry they got repeatedly assumed to be a couple just within the first and second season#and then compared to bonnie and clyde. and then !#. “an old married couple.”#and also there was the “just brothers” comment which i've spent so long ranting about that i'm sure all my friends are sick of hearing about#how what i'm sure was some writer's intention of doubling down on the “look they're SO not having weird gay incestuous feelings for one#another“#MAJORLY backfired and instead implied that the incest was more of a possibility. whereas just about ANY other phrasing wouldn't have.#i dunno. i dunno! once again i don't ship them . but i do think they're weird about one another. codependent maybe? dean specifically says#that he couldn't continue living if sam dies. they both try to sell their own souls to keep the other one alive#which again!! doesnt imply incest necessarily!! but it does imply Weirdness! they ARE weird!#probably a lot to do with their upbringing. but like. they are Weird. they behave strangely and act like they Need one another#which is Not normal for a sibling bond 👍#but yeah . yeah i'm rambling now. it's whatever.#tl;dr i don't ship them but their relationship is Canonically Weird And Abnormal and i think it's unfair to ask me to ignore that#and just go “haha they're so Brother. they're so Regular Normal Sibling.” because they're Not#they have that sibling bond that makes me go “aha#these are clearly brothers“#but then they say and do shit that makes me just want to grab the nearest person and scream ARE YOU SEEING THIS SHIT#WHAT DO YOU MEAN “she knows your weakness. it's me” STOP SAYING THINGS LIKE THAT TO YOUR BROTHER. THAT'S NOT NORMAL!!!!#. ahem. anyway. yeah. sorry#i can't wait till i get to later seasons and castiel shows up because i've heard im going to Like him#and also because Gay People#but for now i'm rotating sam and dean around in my mind in a microwave and Wishing i could put them in therapy together#because they Need to learn how to not be so strange and odd about one another in an unhealthy way

HOW THE FUCK are you getting lead and lithium in your vapes are you EATING THE BATTERY my god what the fuckkkk but also juul really did ruin the whole thing for everyone so thanks i guess you fucks.
#there will be no reblogging because the misinformation on this website is fucking insane on this topic (among others)#'did u know it was originally supposed to make u quit!' yes i did know that thanks this is my fifth year off the cigarettes via vaping#but i did it before the shitty disposables trend (for which there is no practical reason btw - you used to just fucking recharge the thing)#and thus luckily before the “THERE'S LEAD AND SQUIRRELS IN THIS YOU KNOW” that puts smokers off trying to quit or switch#so..... :|#the idea was Harm Reduction the selling to kids thing is not the original plan and also the lead thing isn't true.#no really explain to me where the lead comes from? and how the battery contents are getting into your lungs?#i do know the formaldehyde was if you vape burnt cotton on its own. which... well you wouldn't. you would KNOW if you did. trust me.#it's like you've got onto the methodone and now the people who never had a drug problem are Concerned that you might be addicted.#and you're like “well no shit i'm addicted this is my attempt to quit. also please stop selling this to children.”#which is already illegal by the way. they also sell alcohol to kids when are you getting mad about alcohol?#did you know beer has LEAD and CHUNKS OF PURE DEATH in it? if you look at it you'll DIE actually. yes i read it online it must be true.#anyway i am just. u know. i have a lot of feelings about this but also unfortunately i did fact-check this while i was still on the vape.#which is why i want to know how the lead gets into it. are you putting lead into vegetable glyercin? is that an american thing?#like when you have to recall chicken because it has cyanide in? so now we're banning chickens?#so anyway this is why i have My Doubts about almost any claimed fact i see on tumblr.#well this and the occasional history post that i know for a fact is 100% bullshit.#but also the smug little shits here are extra annoying to me on this topic for the aforementioned reasons of having quit by this method.

Netflix (the site where one of it’s main selling points was its lack of ads) now has ads, unless you pay extra to get rid of them.
Youtube has recently blessed me with full-length un-skippable ads, and once again removed my ability to block any ad I might take issue with.

bookworm
-> bookworm pt. II
-> rafe x bookworm!reader

The bell above the bookstore door jingled sharply, and you looked up just in time to see a tall, very damp stranger step inside, shaking the rain from his jacket.
He looked out of place: broad-shouldered and golden-haired, like he belonged on a yacht instead of standing in the doorway of your tiny shop, dripping onto the hardwood floor.
You arched a brow. “You’re getting water on my first editions.”
The guy, Rafe Cameron, you recognized now, glanced down at the puddle forming around his expensive-looking sneakers. “Shit—uh, my bad.” He took a dramatic step to the side, as if that somehow fixed it, then ran a hand through his rain-soaked hair. “I, uh, wasn’t planning on coming in. Just—y’know. Rain.”
You resisted the urge to smile. “Yes, I do know rain.”
Rafe exhaled, half-laughing, like he wasn’t used to people talking to him like this. He glanced around, taking in the towering bookshelves, the warm glow of the reading lamps. “So… what kinda place is this? Coffee shop? Library?”
“Bookstore.”
“Right. That’s what I meant.”
You leaned your elbows on the counter, tilting your head. “Not much of a reader, are you?”
“Uh—” He looked vaguely offended. “I mean, I’ve read, like… some books.”
“Name one.”
His jaw tightened. “Do magazines count?”
You laughed and Rafe looked half annoyed, half intrigued. “Not unless they have plotlines and character development.”
He hesitated, shifting his weight like he was debating whether to leave or stay. Then, as if making a split-second decision, he cleared his throat. “Alright. Sell me a book, then.”
Your eyes widened slightly. “What, right now?”
“Yeah.” He crossed his arms. “Something I’d like.”
You eyed him, taking in the expensive watch, the cocky smirk he was trying to suppress, the slight impatience in the way he tapped his fingers against his bicep. Then, without a word, you turned, plucked a book from the shelf, and set it down in front of him.
Rafe squinted at the cover. The Great Gatsby.
He snorted. “You picked this ‘cause I’m rich, didn’t you?”
You just smiled, chin propped in your palm. “I picked it because it’s about a man who has everything… except the one thing he really wants.”
That shut him up.
For the first time since he walked in, Rafe didn’t have a witty retort. Instead, he just looked at you like he wasn’t sure what to make of you. Then, after a moment, he picked up the book, flipping it over in his hands.
“Alright,” he said, voice softer than before. “Guess I’ll give it a shot.”
And just like that, a golden-haired, rain-drenched Kook walked into your quiet little world, and, much to your surprise, didn’t seem in any hurry to leave.
...
The next time Rafe Cameron strolled into your bookstore, the weather was perfectly dry. No convenient rainstorm forcing him inside. Which meant he was here on purpose.
You glanced up from your desk, hiding a smile as he beelined straight for the shelves, hands in his pockets, exuding casual confidence... except for the way his eyes flicked toward you every few seconds, like he was making sure you noticed him.
He stopped in front of the classics section, squinting at the titles, then, rather dramatically, pulled out the thickest book he could find.
“War and Peace,” you read off the spine, eyebrows raising.
Rafe nodded, flipping it open like he knew exactly what he was doing. “Yep. I’m thinking… light weekend read.”
You leaned on the counter, amusement bubbling in your chest. “You do know that book is, like, twelve hundred pages, right?”
Rafe smirked. “Yeah. I like a challenge.”
You folded your arms. “Do you even know what it’s about?”
He hesitated for just a second, just long enough for you to tell he absolutely did not, before shrugging. “War. And… peace.”
You bit back a laugh. “Brilliant deduction, Tolstoy.”
He made a face. “Okay, whatever, maybe I just like big books. What, I’m supposed to pick some tiny little paperback?”
“Size isn’t everything, Rafe.”
His bit back a grin like he was fighting off some very Rafe-like response to that statement. Instead, he cleared his throat and flipped to a random page. “I’ll prove it,” he declared. “I’ll read the whole thing.”
You tilted your head, amused. “All of War and Peace?”
“All of War and Peace.” He looked very proud of himself, like he’d just announced he was climbing Mount Everest. “And then I’ll come back and tell you all about it.”
You rested your chin in your palm, eyes twinkling. “I’m holding you to that.”
“Good.” Rafe closed the book with a satisfying thud and tucked it under his arm like a trophy. He turned to leave but then, almost as an afterthought, glanced back at you, smirking.
“Bet you’ll be impressed when I finish.”
You grinned, shaking your head. “I’ll be shocked if you finish.”
Rafe just gave you a wink, pushing out the door, head held high like he’d just won something.
You bit your lip, watching him go.
Oh, this was going to be fun.
...
“You have a predilection for making a mess,” you mused, watching as Rafe leaned back in his chair at the counter, arms crossed, an empty coffee cup in front of him: his third of the morning.
Rafe blinked. “A what?”
“A predilection.”
He squinted at you. “Is that, like… a disease?”
You pressed your lips together, trying not to laugh. “No, it means you have a habit of doing something. A preference.”
“Oh.” Rafe nodded, like he totally got it. He absolutely did not get it.
Moments like these happened all the time. You’d say something, something perfectly normal, in your opinion, and he’d look at you like you were speaking ancient Latin.
Last week, you told him his posture was lackadaisical, and he spent the next three hours trying to pronounce it. Yesterday, you mentioned that his tendency to linger in your store was beguiling, and he just stared at you for a solid five seconds before muttering, “Yeah, well, you’re beguiling too.”
But today? Today was different. Today, Rafe had come prepared.
“I actually knew that,” he lied, shifting in his seat. “I, uh… I absconded that word earlier.”
You blinked. “You what?”
“Absconded,” he repeated, looking oddly proud of himself.
You bit your lip, trying so, so hard not to laugh. “Do you mean absorbed?”
Rafe’s smirk faltered. “…Yeah, that one.”
You let out a giggle, and Rafe groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. “I knew I was gonna mess that up.”
“No, no,” you teased, leaning forward on your elbows. “Please, continue. What else have you absconded (definition: leave hurriedly and secretly, typically to avoid detection of or arrest for an unlawful action such as theft) lately?”
He shot you a look, then, without missing a beat, grabbed his empty coffee cup and stood. “I’m absconding out of here.”
You let out a full laugh, and he grinned as he turned toward the door.
Before he left, though, he paused, glancing back at you with that cocky, boyish smirk.
“By the way, I predilect you.”
You shook your head, utterly endeared. “That’s not... never mind.”
Rafe just winked. “Knew it.”

part 2 lol
so apparently it's really fucking hard to get into the SAS. and ontop of that I've been getting tiktoks of people going around an army base asking why they joined. most responses were to pay off student loans, bills, school, (someone said there's was 6 years of prison or school and *mental note for idea*), the recruiter lied or spoilt them, barracks bunny.
141 (poly?) x notsobaddasssoldier!reader
and now i can't stop thinking of soldier!reader. who really half-assed their way through everything - only doing the job for the money and to pay off student loans + they had nothing better to do.
who somehow ends up being adopted by Price (kinda like Gaz i guess ???) all because reader happened to be in the right place at the right time and saved Price's ass while managing to complete a mission the Task Force were doing.
and it's not that you saved his ass or completed the mission that makes Price go *this is mine* - it's the fact that afterwards all you can say is-
"this shit is so not worth paying off my student loans."
"oh fuck i forgot to cancel my subscription. fuckk- waste of fucking money"
- all the while a building is burning in front of you but yeah just not at all concerned about what had just happened. so price just *grabs you by the back of your neck and holds you up, claiming you as part of his task force now.*
(lol you probably can't do that irl but this is fiction sooo suck my ass.)
and laswell's just like no... they are very much still green john. way too green. no.
but it's too late. he's already introducing you to the task force. singing your praises and you're just like
"man he promised to pay off my student loans and give me food." basically how ur recruiter got ya ass.
enough said. you get the whole off the books speech, saving the world by doing things others wouldn't like. but u couldn't give a rats ass - you should but nah...
and like... you know you're the rookie... you're still green... but some of the shit 141 do you just...
"so you just gonna kidnap the wife AND the child...? right... kid, you wanna watch bluey? here..."
"and you do this often...? crazy."
but you don't exactly protest. how could you with how much you get paid. you kinda just side-eye and look away when it's geta a lil crazy. *bombastic side-eye*
and the other 141 guys - oh my days. become just as enormed as price and want to start really trying to amplify your skills. but every time, they start explaining how to do things - the best way to go about a situation or how to fight a certain way.
you pull this face. like your top lip pulls back, your eyebrows scrunch together, and there's a slight frown on your lips as they speak. like you look confused/disgusted. but you don't even realise cause-
"why're you pulling that face?" 141
"that's... that's just my focusing face..."
"oh..." 141 feels bad
then when they do take you in feild you're shaking your head no. like you haven't been around that long. what the fuck? now you're bout to infiltrate an enemy base!?!?!
"can i just wait in the car?"
"no." price
"i'm gonna vomit."
"aim at the enemy." ghost
people think that because you're suddenly in this badass task force that surely they're just using you for your assets.
they all think you're the 141 barracks bunny. and maybe you should be pissed or annoyed or grossed out. but all you can do is sigh and pause from the burger price got you, and let out a long exhale.
"fuck... maybe i can just do onlyfans or be a pornstar... shit maybe it's not too late..."
"military is bascially sex work - selling my body..."
"not that different from what i'm doing now. body being used, check. body sore in the strangest places, check."
your tone so empty, blank and nonchalant, but there's a serious look in your eyes that when you grab your phone out to maybe do a little research on how you could do that, your phone is snatched from your hand by one of the guys and they walk out the room without a second look back.
with an annoyed huff, you go back to eating your burger. but suddenly, you turn to the person who genuinely thought you were a barracks bunny.
"hey you think if i be a barracks bunny i get out of missions and shit?"
"...that's not how it works..." rando.
"fuck."
and maybe you try...
like you go to price's office and the guys are already in there, chatting about something that you should really pay attention too but you can't be assed. instead you unashamedly start to speak...
"if i suck ya'll dicks can i get out the mission?"
"no. you still have to join." gaz says amused
"even if you-" *que long sigh from price* "even if you suck our dicks."
"that's fucked up. i should've done porn."
and with the most hurt and broken-hearted look on your face, you leave the office, closing the door with a dramatic sigh. the guys just stare at the door in... confusion, amusement, and maybe arousal if ya'll dig that
idk man just gimmie more soldier!reader who just really ain't the fucked, there for money, lowkey hungry and doesn't know what the fuck is happening. kinda a pet or little sibling energy that the 141 love.
bonus*
"wait so they aren't sucking our dicks?" *soap says getting slapped in the back of the head by ghost
a/n: brain is rottinnggg. i should be doing so much other shit but... cod just consumes my brain 24/7

cw: violence. heavy torture. stress incontinence (brief). hurt/no comfort.
× framed traitor f!reader x lt ghost. poly tf141.
Part 2
It's calm.
The sea breeze brushes against your cheeks, your skin warm under the sun, and your toes squirming in the sand. You've been begging your parents to take you to the beach for months since middle school started, and now you're here.
Family. Your cousins, your siblings, your aunties and uncles. Nothing can ruin it! It's perfect.
A bucket of sea water hits you from the back, making you gasp. In an instant, you're up. "You guys are dead!" you scream, laughing as you chase after them.
It's so, so nice.
Then, a weird smell makes you pause as you're chasing your favorite older cousin, knee deep in the ocean.
It brings you back to when you were a toddler, picking up one of your grandfather's old rags, forgotten in a corner. It'd seen too many raining days, all crumpled up. It was sour. Foul.
Almost like poison.
But why did you remember such thing right now?
Your cousin's dark eyes glint, but you can't focus. No, you can't move as she gently makes you lay down in the water, claiming it's a game, and sits on top of you, the sea water filling your lungs.
You scream and fight, your little strength leaving you, until you're finally breaking through the surface.
Another splash of salty water, much colder, wakes you up with a gasp.
"Up" Price's voice says.
You bite back a whimper of pain when Soap roughly grips your hair and drags you up along with the chair from the floor, since Price kicked you the night before. Soap doesn't look at you even once.
"Since you won't open your mouth, let's continue" the captain hums, looking mildly entertained.
"Price, I genuinely don't know anything. I'm not a traitor. You have to believe me, please—"
Smack.
"Save it. It all points to you, so you either speak now, or we start having fun".
Everything hurts, it's all fuzzy and every single inch of your body is burning, yet you still look up at Price, then at Soap. Again, he won't even look at you.
"Where's Simon?" you mumble, trembling. There's silence, but you don't let it stretch. "Please, I really have nothing to do with any of this. Be reasonable. There's nothing in it for me. Why would I sell us out?!"
The door springs open, and your head snaps up. Your world crumbles down as Simon comes in with a little box.
The tools.
At once, you reach another level of panic.
Pure, unadulterated dread.
"Stop! No. No, please. I'm innocent. Simon. Please, stop this!" you wail loudly, your hands clenching hard on the armrests of the chair, uselessly trying to keep them from getting to your fingers.
It doesn't matter how hard you cry out for them to listen. It doesn't matter how badly you fight, leaning forward to push your head against Simon's chest, pleading with him.
There's no coming back from this.
Please. I love you. Please.
When the first nail is ripped off from your fingertip, the intensity of your screams makes Price look away for the first time.
It takes three fingernails and a handful of questions you can't focus on for Soap to turn away from you.
Five.
Away.
Please.
Eight.
It all feels so far away.
Distantly, you feel warmth, right on the chair. For a happy moment you melt into it, too tired to think much of it. Simon's eye twitches at the sight, the white in his eyes bloodshot, and he has to physically stop himself from saying anything.
"I want to die" you croak out, your chin pressed to your chest.
Your heart is pounding in your ears, in your raw fingertips. Your voice doesn't feel yours anymore.
"No. Give me their names".
"I don't know, goddammit!" you scream, your face contorted with pain and anger. So much anger. "Fuck you! I don't know shit. I'm sick and tired of this. I didn't do anything!"
It doesn't matter when Simon rips off another fingernail.
Nine.
It doesn't matter when Soap presses the same disgusting rag against your face, the cold salty water filling your lungs again.
You don't fight.
What for? They want information you can't provide. And you're angry.
Ten.
"I'm breaking up with you" you say, your voice firm, despite the intense shaking in your body.
The pain must have cleared your mind because you just look straight forward, not meeting Ghost's eyes as you speak.
You don't want to look at him.
"I don't want your regret" you continue, your heart slowing down. There's an old bloody spot on the door. You focus on it. "The three of you are dead to me when this is all over".
"Enough chatting. Go on!" Price snaps. You don't hear the trembling in his voice.
The salty water just keeps on coming.
Maybe you hear it. You don't care.
You're not sure for long it goes. Half of your toes are throbbing by the time Price storms out of the room, Soap and Ghost gathering their things to leave.
There are deep cuts in the arch of your feet, several of your toenails scattered on the floor, and the foul smell of urine and blood. Your throat is sore and raw from screaming, and sobbing.
You must've passed out, because you wake up to Ghost's hands untying you quickly, words of apology leaving his lips, curses and promises. You can hear Soap rushing in, the two of them arguing and then running.
Gasps and curses are heard all around the base as Ghost takes you to the medics, demanding them to tend to you now.
It's an order.

part 3

You lured many crews to their deaths, men followed your alluring voice into the thrashing waves of the ocean. Willingly drowning themselves in the salt.
Once they heard your song, and saw your beautiful face their fate was already sealed. You were cunning and dangerous, not hesitating to go after any ship you saw.
This didn't change when you saw a wrecked ship on the shore of an island. The pirates were obviously disoriented, and fixing their ship to leave.
One tall, strong figure commanded them, voice booming and most definitely angry. When they walked off, you took this as your chance to strike, rising onto the shore, and from between your lips came a song.
The pirates in your vicinity turned their heads to admire you in awe, at that you smirked, beckoning them closer with a finger adorned in jewels.
Unexpectedly, a woman came out from behind the trees, you assumed she was the loud voice you heard earlier. Shit.
A woman being the captain of this crew was the last thing you expected.
She didn't hesitate to pull her gun from the holster and aim it in your direction. The bullet barely missed your side as you jumped away. The sharp sound made you stop your song immediately.
The men, previously in a trance, looked around. Their eyes eventually settled on you. You pushed away from the shore, but before you could swim, heavy hands grabbed you from under the arms.
The woman had managed to seize you in all your shock, and you thrashed and flailed in her strong hold. She pulled you from the water, metal arm clawing into your flesh, most definitely leaving red marks.
You could feel her warm chest against your back. It contrasted the cold that you usually felt on mens bodies when you pulled them overboard into the icy waves.
She held you up for the men to see, "We caught us a pretty one, aye?" A short, stout man spoke.
"She would sell for a lot, y'know."
"Nah, I think I wanna keep her. She's rather stunning."
"Are you serious she tried—"
"Enough."
The womans stern voice was loud enough to quiet the whole crew. You could feel the vibration of her chest when she spoke. It was a deep and gutteral hum.
"I want to be off this island by nightfall."
All the men scurried at her order, returning to their original positions. They spoke amongst themselves and murmured their complaints, now completely disregarding your presence.
She threw you into the sand, and you landed with a thump. You didn't skip a beat before you tried to claw your way back to shore, but were stopped short by her hand grabbing your tail.
"Now, what am I going to do with you." Her voice was surprisingly husky.
You let out a yelp and turned around to face her, holding yourself up on your elbows. You were now met with her smokey grey eyes and dark scarred skin that anyone would recognize.
Sevika.
She was a ruthless leader and led an even more unforgiving crew. Her reign was seemingly endless, ruling the seas for the better half of her life. Men and women that sailed the seas all respected her alike.
You parted your lips to start a song. But before you could even let out one note, she interrupted you, "That shit isn't going to work on me."
You knew that.
It was worth a try though.
She crouched over you, one knee digging into the sand beside you, and her other leg thrown over you, boot awfully close to your tail.
She reached out to your face with a warm hand, but you pulled back, baring your teeth to her in a snarl. Then she palmed your jaw more ferociously, smirking at your actions. She tilted your head from one side to another, eyes following the trail of scales down your neck.
Her lips were parted ever-so-slightly, and you could see the small gap between her teeth, showcased by her thick brown lips.
You had never been interested in humans, especially human men. Their sexual desire outruled any curiousity you had towards them. Men completely ruined the human race for you. In fact, they disgusted you. But you had never been this close to a human woman.
Usually, you targeted pirate ships, so coming across a woman was especially rare. At one point, you started to wonder if they even existed. But your doubts were disproven as the woman on top of you caused your breath to hitch in your throat.
"What are you going to do to me." You hissed.
"Oh, so she does speak," Sevika smirked before getting up and brushing sand off her pant leg, "I could chop you up and serve you to my men.. But that would be a waste. Plus, im not a fan of killing the local wildlife."
She was clearly amused by her joke, but you werent, you glared daggers at her, now crossing her arms as she towered above you. It was a clear display of her power and authority.
" 'M gonna have to keep you in my sight until we leave." She said, more in a teasing way than strict.
"I need water." You shot back at her, slightly grateful that she wasn't going to kill you, but the sun might just kill you itself if you didn't get back to the sea.
"Alright. I'll let you go to the shore. But if you even seem like you're going to swim away, I won't hesitate to shoot," She pulled her gun out of its holster again, flashing it to you as a warning.
At that, you turned to start clawing your way back to the rocks where you orignally resided. But you felt a large arm scoop you up instead. You were basically folded over Sevikas forearm, her hip balancing some of your weight as she walked you to your destination. You couldn't do anything but let your arms dangle over your head, fingertips brushing the ground. (maybe not if your short)
How embarassing.
When she plopped you into the water, you sighed deeply, feeling your gills thank the salt in the sea. The crew was now hidden from your view as the rocks were big enough to fill your vision. Sevika, on the other hand, was sitting atop one, eyeing her men.
You could take this perfect opportunity to swim away, but a part of you knew that she wasn't looking away because she trusted you to stay. She was looking away because she trusted herself to be able to shoot faster than your tail could hit the water.
So you opted to keep your place. You saw her shake her head at what you assumed to be the antics of the crew. Reaching into her pocket, she grabbed a zippo and lit a cigarillo that was now between her fingers.
You rolled your eyes at her, gills retracting when she blew out hot smoke in your direction. You rested your chin on your arms, laying against a smaller rock.
"What? Not a fan of tobacco?" She mused.
"I am not a fan of any human trinkets." Your lip curled in disgust at the smell.
She eyed the sparkly jewerly that hung from your limbs, "Doesn't seem that way to me."
You got defensive, "Enough. I found it myself."
That wasn't a lie. You kept a lot of the treasures you found in mens pockets, jewerly, watches, and compasses.
You didn't exactly fancy small talk, but Sevika insisted that they would be there for several more hours until her ship was fixed. So you would tell her some stories and let her look at your treasures.
The sun started to set on the horizon, and eventually, you were sitting on the rock next to her, her large hand tracing your scales with intrigue. You didn't feel disgusted by her touch or bored with her presence. This feeling was forgin to you, and you wanted to let your guard down.
But you also wanted to wrap your cold fingers around her throat and strangle her until her warm breath left her body. Leaving her there to swim back into the ocean.
You disregarded that and leaned into her touch, watching the sunset. Some kind of ease has settled itself into your bones, knowing that you couldn't control her with song or seduce her with melody.
And maybe you were finding yourself too much in thought, but you might have her wrapped around your finger without help from the sea. And maybe she was allured by your fantastical stories and airy laugh.
Suddenly, your train of thought was interrupted by a scraggly voice, "Aye, cuddling up to the captian?"
You jumped into the water, away from Sevikas side. She grabbed the handle of her gun with wide eyes before stopping when she saw you, unmoving and clinging to a rock.
She wasn't lying when she said she would shoot you at any attempt to flee. But a pang shot through your chest anyway.
She cleared her throat and spoke, "What could you possibly want."
He tilted his head to the now finished ship. "Told ya we could do it, cap."
She sighed, standing up from the rock and sparing you one last glance before walking back to her ship.
I guess this was your queue to leave, but after the day you spent with her, a part of you couldn't leave. She had piqued a feeling that nobody ever had before.
So you watched her speak to her crew from a distance, bobbing in the dark waters. Your lips were curled down in a pouty frown.
She let everyone board before her, patting a heavy hand on the last man's back. Just before she stepped onto the ramp, she caught your gaze. Her eyes widened, and you dipped back under the water, out of sight.
She sighed and started to ascend the ramp to the deck, but not before hearing a splash from beside her. It was you, your fingers grasped at the wood, head balancing just above the ramp. Your torso was completely out of the water, and it dripped from your skin.
Her heart lurched at the sight, and she reached towards you, bending down into the water. You lowered yourself back into the sea as she closed the distance between you now. Her hat barely balanced itself on her head when she stroked a thick finger down your cheek.
You held her hand against your face and closed the gap between your lips completely. Sevikas lips were thick and warm and tasted roughtly of tobacco.
She was so unlike you, but you yearned for her deeply. Her form was rugged and large compared to your swift elegance and shiney scales. But when she pulled away and you looked into her eyes, you didn't seem to care whether she had legs or a tail.
Only that she was yours.
"I'll follow you wherever you go."

How about scarlet witch male reader during the invincible war? Like all the invincibles lost their reader and their kids(billy and Tommy or you can make up kids) and it's different headcanons on how the variants react when they see reader protecting his and mainstream marks kids and basically it's the "you're just as beautiful as the day i lost you" trope and you can include nsfw if you want to
Invincible Variants finding bf!reader and their kids + you’re just as beautiful as the day I lost you trope

tags/warnings: they’re less so headcanons and more like connected blurbs, uh reader doesn’t have a handle on their powers so it’s hardly shown, canon-level things, although I quite like this concept
Variants shown: Omni-Mark, Mohawk Mark, Sinister Mark
Background
“So,” Rex was drunk, his speech slurred, and his body slumped against Rae as she nursed her own beer. “If you have this… chaos magic and can do anything—“
“I can’t do anything,” You blinked, moving your beer to the side and Rex tossed his head back, groaning. “I have limits and I’m still practicing—,”
“Don’t!” He holds his finger up to your lips, which you quickly smack away. “Interrupt me,” Nodding, you look at Mark who’s snickering into the rim of his cup. Kicking his ankle, he forces himself to stop laughing. “So, can you create kids for you and Mark?”
“Huh?” You blink again, turning your ear closer to him because you’re sure you didn’t hear him right. Unfortunately for you, you’d heard him right and even more unfortunately, you were tipsy enough to actually try. The four of you shot the shit, brainstorming names and genders before settling on twins: a girl and a boy, Terra and Ryan.
“How does this work?” Mark asked and you shrugged, staring at the blankets laid out on the table.
“Focus,” Rex nodded as if he were an expert, pressing his fingers to his temple to really sell it. “Combine your DNA with your magic and do it.” Rolling your eyes, you did as he said for two minutes. Humoring him. Only, it started to work. Like actually work. And soon enough, you were staring at two crying babies on the dining room table.
“Holy shit.”
Omni-Mark
He’s actually the first one to find you, believe it or not. Sure, he had his own secondary goal but this… you and the twins, you were going to be the first on his list every time.
You hadn’t gotten the news yet, you’d been at a doctor's appointment when Eve called you. Apparently, there are Invincible’s around the globe, killing people and leveling entire countries. Mark was headed to a prison and he called you next, begging you to go home but you told him you’d pick up Debbie and Oliver. He agreed and you set off, carrying them in a twin carrier rather than the stroller you’d come with.
You were about halfway to Debbie’s place when a red cape covered your vision and you flew back, your hands instinctively covering your children’s heads.
“You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you,” It was Mark’s voice but it wasn’t him. His hair was different, his suit was red and white, and the way he spoke wasn’t like Mark. You slowly backed up, your hands slowly growing red. “Don’t be like that.” His voice is level as he inches closer and reaches out to grab Terra. You push him back and create even more distance.
“Touch my kids,” You warn. “And I’m going to kill you.” He rubs his chest a little, his suit a little charred from your magic and tilts his head.
“They’re our kids.” He corrects. “And I won’t lose you again.” He flies forward and you fly down, holding the twins heads so they wouldn’t slip out from the carrier and turn around. He’s barreling towards you now so you swipe him away. At this point the twins are crying and he stops midway back to you. “You’re hurting them, stop this,” He switches tactics, holding his right hand out to you, floating slowly. They feel heavier for some reason and their crying grows louder.
You glance down at them—
“Big mistake,” He’s behind you, his arm around your neck and lips against your ear. “I’m not losing you, again.” He repeated while you calm your breathing, looking around in the sky as if the answers would be there. His left hand reaches down to Ryan, stroking the baby’s head and the crying slowly stops.
“See,” He cooes. “They miss their daddy, right, Ryan?” Ryan laughs, reaching up to grab his finger. “Let’s go. I’ll keep you safe.” Slowly, the arm around your neck drops and he grabs your hand, pulling you after him. He doesn’t look away from you as he flies, smiling as if he’s won. Your heart skips when you see Invisible flying over but as he crashes into this Mark, you realize he’s also not your Mark.
You take the opportunity to fly away, going as fast as you can without injuring the babies.
Sinister Mark
He’d gotten Omni-Mark distracted enough that he changed courses and went to fight this world's Mark and Eve. While it wasn’t that he hadn’t thought about the three of you, of course he thinks about the three of you. It’s just… the mission comes first. But he’s not going to pass up the opportunity when it shows up to him on a silver platter.
“You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you,” You spin around, seeing the yellow and black suit floating less than three meters away. “Y’know, I killed Eve for what she did to the two of you.” He looks at you, raking his hand through his hair before he laughs. “The plan was just to paralyze her, y’know, but,” He shakes his head as he remembers, acutely aware that you’re backing away.
“She just had to shoot that support beam,” he says, looking at you, smiling. “And it won’t happen again. Come home, please.” He holds a hand out, floating closer inch by inch.
“Stay away,” You tell him and the smile drops immediately. You’ve never fought with the babies in your arms, your fighting style isn’t suited for this. Mark often says you fight as if you’re indestructible, flipping and flying with little regard for anything else because you can just fix whatever you break. But you don’t know if you could… you hold their heads as they whimper, about to start crying.
“Just stop fighting,” He huffs. “I don’t play games, you know this.”
“I don’t know you!” For a moment his face darkened, as if it’s clicking that you’re not his you. You aren’t from his world.
“But you did and you will.” He insists and flies towards you. You fly away, throwing magic behind you whenever you feel him getting too close. Some of the hits land but you can tell most of them only rile him up more. You fly over fights, dodging falling buildings and eventually make it to your Mark. He’s at a prison, fighting another variant of himself. Well, he had been. The one with the mohawk is lying on a pile of rubble.
“(Y/n),” Mark holds your face as you land. “What’re you doing here? It’s not safe?” He checks over the kids and you shake your head.
“There’s a bee you following me,” You inhale, looking back and see him getting closer. “There was another— they want the kids? I don’t… I don’t know. I can’t fight with the twins on me.”
“And they’ve grown,” He comments, eyeing them before shaking his head. “Get to the safe house or the GDA, I’ll meet you there as soon as possible, okay?” He kisses you and the twins' heads before taking off into the air. Watching as he crashes into the one that had been chasing you, you take a moment to check on the twins. And yeah, it looks like they’d grown a couple of months in the span of a few minutes.
Mohawk Mark
“So, you’re here too?” You don’t even look back at the Mark with a mohawk and take off into the air. It amuses him, to your surprise. His laughter catches up to you as you make it the distance from the prison. Eventually, he’s in front of you, licking the blood from his lip and a shine in his eye growing as he sees the twins.
“You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you,” He grins, his lip quivering as he holds back his true emotions, masking it with glee. His eyes dip down to the twins and he smiles, holding his arms out and making grabbing hands— they don’t reciprocate. Clinging to you as their carriers gets heavier. They’re growing again. You look down and they look like they’re at least a year old.
“Eh, fu— frick it,” He shakes his head, covering his mouth before he cursed in front of the twins. “Screw Angstrom and his mission, let’s run away together! Be a family again.”
“We’ve never been a family,” You correct, squinting. “But what is Angstrom’s mission?” He waves his hand dismissively.
“Something about ruining Invincible's name. I don’t care, I wanted to destroy this world but now, I want my family back.” He rushes forward and before you could react, he’s holding your face. It’s tender but not in the way you’re used to, it repulses you. “I’m not losing you again. Any of you.” The babies start to fuss, feeling the tension in the air.
“You’re scaring the twins,” You tell him and he pulls away, checking them over and accidentally wiping his blood on Terra’s cheek. You inhale, raising your hand but before Bolt knocks him away.
“Go!” Knockout encourages as her team jumps the Mark you’d been talking to. You nod, flying towards Debbie, praying that was the last variant you’d be seeing.

confronting- o.piastri

pairing: oscar piastri x fem! Skyf1interviewer! reader
summary: a confrontation in a hotel room doesn't go so well thanks to Franco's loud mouth...
part five masterlist
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ
Entertaining the idea of dating Oscar when you knew you’d be gone at the end of the season wasn’t fair. He deserved someone who’d be there for every race, be there for him. You weren’t that person. You weren’t the person anyone should want, you just weren’t like that.
Qatar rolled around and Oscar won the Sprint, and he was P3 in the race. You were meant to do the interviews. He knew that. That’s why he frowned when he was met with Jenson’s face at the end of the race.
“Where’s Y/n?” he asked, not holding the microphone up to his mouth.
Jenson smirked. “Missing her?”
Oscar nodded.
“She’s with Franco, he was pretty upset after the crash.”
“Oh,” he nodded, and the interview began.
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ
It’s not like you were trying to avoid him, it was just… easier that way. And Franco really was quite shaken after the crash, so that part wasn’t a lie either. You just didn’t want to deal with all of the shit the media and people online would give the two of you. You just wanted a nice, clean break from the world of F1, and the people online who shipped you and Oscar would never let that happen. It was upsetting, because he really was a good friend to you, and you thought you were a good friend to him. Maybe it could’ve been something else, if things were different. You sat with Franco, calming him down since he was pretty upset that his second last race of the season was fucked by a silly turn-one incident.
“What’s going on with you and that model?” you asked. He chuckled.
“Oh my, you saw it too? It’s so embarrassing,” he sighed. “Even my mother has been asking me about it.”
“We don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to,” you laughed at his reaction. “We can talk about anything you want.”
“What’s going on with you and Oscar?” he smirked and your face fell slightly.
“Nothing,” you shook your head. “We’re friends.”
“Friends?” he pried. “You two seem like more than ‘friends’ to me.”
You rolled your eyes. “We’re not. We’re just friends,” you assured him.
Franco sat up, leaning closer to you. He was so close his breath was on your cheek, his eyes staring longingly into yours. You knew what he was doing. “So he wouldn’t mind it if someone kissed you, no?”
You laughed, pushing him back down to his previous position of lying down. “Stop being weird. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind. He shouldn’t care anyway.”
“Let’s test that,” Franco challenged. “Kiss me in front of him, and then we’ll know. I’ll ask Lando to tell me about it, they’re close, right?”
You sighed, something about it felt a little bit… manipulative. And it’s not like you were looking for Oscar to like you back, he didn’t. That’s what he’d said the last time, it was only a joke, a prank, a mistake. Which was fine with you, of course. It made sense. You couldn’t be there for him while you were supposed to be there for someone else. Someone else on his team.
Ok, so maybe the move to Indycar isn’t just about Sky starting to cover it. Maybe, they need more European fans, and you have to go over there and sell it to them with a relationship with Pato O’Ward. Maybe McLaren is paying you a lot of money to do that.
Just maybe though.
“I can’t do that Franco,” you explained. “It’s not fair. And anyways, I’m kind of… seeing someone.”
“Is it Oscar?!” he questioned. You shook your head. “Lando? Lance? Zhou? Yuki? Who?” “He’s not in F1!” you giggled, watching as Franco freaked out.
“Who is he?! You have to tell me right now!” he begged, taking your hands.
“He’s in Indycar, that’s all I’ll tell you,” you smirked and his jaw dropped.
“Is that why you’re leaving?!” he almost shouted.
“No! Sky really is just branching out, but yes, it is nice that I’ll actually be able to watch his races,” you chuckled.
“I’ll miss you,” he frowned.
“I’ll miss you too,” you chuckled, pulling him in for a hug. “Now, I have to go do my post-race duties, so I’ll see you in Abu Dhabi, alright?”
He frowned even deeper. “Alright,” he mumbled. “I can’t believe you’re leaving me!”
You left the Williams garage with a smile on your face, very much amused by your conversation with Franco.
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ
You pulled up to the media pen, really to meet with Jenson and Nico, your co-hosts this weekend, but they were nowhere to be seen. Regardless, you prepared yourself with the running order.
Lance, Lando, Max, Checo, Zhou, and Fernando. That’s all you had to get through before you got on a flight to Abu Dhabi the next morning. After another few minutes of waiting, Nico and Jenson showed up, acting slightly strange. They weren't really speaking to you, only with each other. It’s not like they were excluding you, just… not asking for your input. They seemed guilty too.
Lance, Lando, Max, and Checo were all fine, polite and out of there quickly. Oscar didn’t show up. Unsurprising, as you had been avoiding him. Zhou and Fernando went by in a flash, and you were back to your hotel by 2am.
When you walked into your hotel, you were not expecting to see Oscar Piastri standing outside your door.
Holy shit. You were so astronomically fucked.
“What are you doing here?” you questioned. He turned to you.
He cleared his throat. He’d been thinking of a response to that question since the second he’d started waiting outside for you. What was he doing? This was insane. His plan was to make you stay, but he was much too upset to talk rationally when he got the text from Franco about you seeing an Indycar driver. Honestly, it crushed him. He genuinely thought you’d liked him. “I wanted to… talk? Or something, just to gauge what the fuck is going on here,” he was getting heated, and you understood he was probably angry with you, and it’s not like he didn’t have a reason.
“What do you mean?” you asked, opening your hotel room door and letting him inside.
“You’re going to Indycar?” he questioned. “What the fuck?”
You gulped, hard. “Yeah?”
“Why?” he demanded. “What does Indycar have that F1 doesn’t? F1 is faster cars, faster drivers, more money, more races, more countries, more-”
“Oscar! Did it ever occur to you that this wasn’t my fucking choice?!” you shouted over him. Silence. “Indycar doesn’t have Sky coverage, but Europeans are interested in the sport and they need a known interviewer to go there and make it easier to sell it to people, and I got picked. That’s it.”
“So it has nothing to do with whatever Indycar driver you’re fucking?” he scoffed. Your face fell. Your eyes fell to the hardwood floor beneath your feet. “Yeah, I know.”
Your face soured and you looked up again, offended. Who did he think he was? He had no say in your life at all. You’d hated him for 2 years, and you had no real reason to, now you had one. “I owe you nothing Oscar. I’m an adult in a consenting relationship, and yes he’s in Indycar, is that a crime?”
“Is that why you’re going over there?” he asked, stepping closer to you. You could cut the atmosphere in the room with a knife. Or are you running away from something here?”
“Fuck you,” you pushed him back. This wasn't the Oscar you knew. He was different, angry, mean, and rude. You owed him nothing. “Get out.”
He nodded, and left without another word.

THRESHOLD
pairing : daniela avanzini x fem!reader
summary : girl she’s ur baby daddy and yall argue then yall have sex 🥀
warnings : cursing, g!p daniela, baby trapping mention again…, smut ofc, dani sells drugs but it’s barely mentioned, she’s lowkey a deadbeat, probably more but i forgot
unnecessary bs : 4.9k words, i actually love bd dani
you slip the spoon into your daughter’s mouth just as the doorbell rings. your eyes flick to the door before you let out a tired sigh, pulling the spoon away and reaching for her bib.
“hm, i wonder who that could be.” you mutter, wiping the corner of her mouth. the doorbell rings again, then again, each press faster, louder, more obnoxious.
you roll your eyes. “jesus christ.” and then it hits and you groan. “fucking daniela.”
only she rings your doorbell like she’s trying to piss you off on purpose. like this is some kind of game and she always plays to win.
you storm over to the door and yank it open—and there she is. daniela avanzini, in all her smug, infuriating glory.
leaning against the frame like she owns the place. like she didn’t walk out three months ago after calling you “emotionally constipated” and slamming the door hard enough to rattle your dishes.
“hey, pretty.”
you deadpan. “stop ringing my damn doorbell like a child with impulse issues.”
she grins. “wow. not even a hi? missed you too.”
“what do you want?”
“i came to see my baby.”
your eyes narrow. you know she means danielle, but her eyes drag slow and deliberate from your face to your legs like she’s testing you, like she knows exactly what she’s doing.
“well, she just ate. you can come back when you learn how to act right.”
“cute. except you don’t make the rules around here.”
you scoff, stepping aside because arguing in front of danielle never ends well. not that daniela cares, she’s already sauntering past you like this is her home. like she didn’t give up custody time for a week straight because she was “figuring shit out.”
“you don’t live here anymore,” you snap.
“mm,” she hums, crouching beside danielle and lifting her into her arms like it’s second nature. she says something soft in spanish, probably about you, voice low and familiar like a secret she’s passing between them.
you slam the door shut behind you. “maybe she should know the truth about how you disappeared for two days and blamed it on your phone dying.”
“oh my god, are we seriously doing this again?”
“you show up, unannounced, ringing my doorbell like you’ve got no damn home training—what did you expect?”
“a kiss, maybe. a little gratitude for blessing your doorstep.”
“you’re not cute.”
she spins slowly with danielle in her arms, making her laugh. then casually, like it means nothing: “your mom texted me, by the way.”
you blink. “what?”
“she wanted to know if we were ‘working things out.’ i told her you were still mean as hell, so… probably not.”
your jaw clenches. “stop talking to my mom.”
“tell her to stop texting me then. she likes me more than you do.”
you grab one of danielle’s toys off the floor and throw it at her. she catches it one handed, grinning.
“you’re insufferable.”
“and you’re still letting me in.”
and when she walks to your fridge like it’s still hers, opens it, and says, “you got anything that isn’t expired this time or are we ordering again?”
you don’t say anything. just brush past her, straight into the kitchen with your jaw clenched and shoulders tight.
she walks back into the living room like she didn’t show up out of nowhere and hijack your evening. you don’t even look at her—you’re too busy slamming the cabinet door while pulling out a pan, too busy chopping vegetables like the cutting board personally wronged you.
“you cooking?” she asks, settling onto the floor with danielle still latched to her like a koala.
you slam the fridge shut. “shut up.”
she doesn’t. of course she doesn’t. she’s sitting cross legged on the floor now, danielle crawling into her lap with her little stuffed bunny in hand.
“look at this, she still loves me. she doesn’t even know what a deadbeat is.”
you whip around. “say that again and i’ll throw this knife at your head.”
she laughs. like she thinks you’re kidding.
“god, you’re always angry,” she says, tilting her head as danielle babbles in her lap. “you ever try not being so fucking bitter all the time?”
“i’m not bitter,” you snap. “i’m tired. tired of having to do everything by myself while you show up when it’s convenient and act like that makes you some saint.”
she goes quiet at that, just for a second.
but then she shrugs. “yet here you are. still cooking dinner like we’re a happy little family.”
“i’m not cooking for you,” you snap. “i’m making something for danielle.”
“she’s a baby.”
“she’ll have to eat real food eventually.”
“but not tonight.”
you whip around. “do you want me to throw this knife at you or what?”
daniela just smirks, leaning back on one arm while danielle plays with her hoodie string.
“you always get like this when i show up. it’s cute.”
“you think everything’s cute. you think breaking promises is cute. showing up three days late? cute. ignoring my calls? adorable. you think you can just walk back in like you’re supposed to be here—”
“i am supposed to be here.”
your hand freezes mid chop.
“don’t.”
she shrugs, unbothered, like she didn’t just throw a match on a gas leak.
“just saying. i’m her mom too.”
“yeah? then act like it.”
you toss the chopped vegetables into the pan harder than you need to and flick the stove on. the oil sizzles loud, and daniela flinches like she thought you were going to throw the whole pot at her. and honestly, so did you.
“you think i like doing this alone?” you mutter. “you think i get some kick out of waking up at 3am, warming bottles, dealing with teething and crying and you—”
“you never asked for help.”
“because every time i do, you disappear.”
daniela goes quiet for a second, lips pressed tight. danielle is babbling now, half to herself, half to her bunny, completely unaware of the tension thick in the air like smoke.
you stir the pan a little too aggressively and daniela finally stands up, brushing off her jeans and gently placing danielle in her little play mat nearby.
“i’m here now.”
you don’t look up.
“for how long?”
she doesn’t answer.
you keep cooking. you keep your eyes on the pan. you pretend you’re not already thinking about the moment she walks out again. pretend you don’t already have a backup bottle ready for when the food goes untouched. pretend you don’t care.
because someone has to keep the house running. someone has to make sure the baby eats, even if she’s only on purées. someone has to show up every day.
and it’s never daniela.
you finish cooking with your lips pressed into a tight line, throwing the kitchen towel over your shoulder like you’re running a restaurant and not dealing with your emotionally exhausting ex. you don’t bother plating it fancy—just toss the food on, grab a fork, and head to the dining table where daniela is already sitting like she’s waited all day for this.
danielle’s in her lap, happy as ever, gnawing on the corner of her bib like it’s the most delicious thing in the world. daniela’s got one arm around her and the other lazily scrolling through her phone until you set the plate down in front of her with a clink.
she looks up, smile already tugging at the corner of her mouth. “thank you, baby.”
you blink and stare at her. “yeah. you’re welcome.”
she grins. “i don’t get a kiss anymore?”
you scoff—not even a full laugh, just that sharp little sound people make when they’re done with the bullshit. like tch but from the soul “you’re lucky you got a plate.”
she smirks, pokes at her food. “you say that every time and still feed me like you love me.”
“because i love the baby. and she deserves a mom with energy, which i can’t have if i get arrested for murder.”
daniela hums like it’s sweet.
you grab your own plate and sit across from her, not bothering to make eye contact. danielle is squirming now, so daniela shifts her a little and keeps eating with one hand like it’s second nature.
you both eat in tense silence for a minute, only the clinking of forks and the occasional babble from danielle filling the room.
then daniela, mouth half full, “do you think she’s gonna be left handed like me or right handed like you?”
you pause mid bite and look at her like she’s actually lost her mind. “she’s barely even holding things right now.”
“yeah, but i read it’s genetic or whatever.”
you just shake your head. “do you have a real job yet?”
daniela glances up with zero shame. “define real.”
you put your fork down. “one that doesn’t involve getting arrested if you text the wrong number.”
“damn,” she says, biting into her food again. “so judgemental for someone who used to ride with me while i did drop offs.”
“yeah. and then i grew up.”
daniela raises an eyebrow, still chewing. “you say that like i’m out here selling kilos in the back of a church van.”
“i don’t know what you’re selling anymore, daniela. could be weed, could be someone’s soul, could be baby formula—”
“okay wow, relax. it’s not that serious.”
“no, you don’t take it seriously. which is the problem. you have a whole daughter now, and you’re still out here treating your life like a gta mission.”
daniela chuckles, leaning back in the chair, arm wrapped lazily around danielle like she’s unfazed. “you always talk like i’m some wanted criminal. i’m just doing what i know.”
“yeah? well what you know is gonna get you locked up. and then who’s left picking up the pieces? oh wait—me. again.”
“you’re so dramatic.”
“no, you’re just stupid.”
daniela laughs at that, like it’s cute, like you’re flirting. “you called me stupid but still cooked for me. which one of us is really down bad?”
you slam your fork on the table, and danielle flinches in her lap. you immediately soften your voice but your words are still sharp.
“i didn’t cook for you, daniela. i cooked so our daughter doesn’t grow up watching me lose my mind because her other mom thinks slinging weed is a personality trait.”
daniela looks at you for a moment, finally not laughing, just watching.
“i’m doing what i can,” she says. “it’s not like people are lining up to hand me a nine to five with my record.”
you cross your arms. “so that’s it? just give up? keep doing shit that puts you at risk and maybe, if you’re lucky, you’ll be out in time for her kindergarten graduation?”
“at least i’m trying.”
“trying would be showing up on time. trying would be calling when you can’t make it. trying would be putting her first for once and not whatever hustle you’ve got going on that week.”
daniela presses her lips together, and you can tell she’s about to say something mean. something that’ll cross the line. she shifts danielle in her lap instead, brushing crumbs off her little onesie.
you stand up and grab your plate.
“you think being here now makes up for everything? it doesn’t. you don’t get points for showing up late and calling it love.”
daniela mutters, “you sound like your mom.”
you freeze. just for a second, then you nod slowly. “good. because someone in this house has to act like a grown up.”
daniela exhales a laugh, mean and quiet. “right. now you’re better than me ‘cause you microwave baby food and follow a bedtime schedule?”
you narrow your eyes. “i’m better than you because i show up.”
“nah,” she says, sitting back in the chair like she’s getting real comfortable. “you’re just mad the lifestyle stopped benefitting you.”
you squint. “what the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“don’t act brand new, yn. you weren’t complaining when my ‘gta missions’ were paying your rent. your groceries. that ‘push present’ you pretend came from your savings—yeah, okay.”
your blood boils.
“you think this is about money?”
“no, i think it’s about the fact that you were perfectly fine with it when you were comfortable. now that i’m not handing you wads of cash and showing up with takeout in the middle of the night, suddenly you’re holier than thou.”
you’re already walking away. grabbing the plates, scooping up danielle gently from her lap, not even looking at her.
“yn,” daniela calls out like she didn’t just say the most out of pocket shit.
you stop in the hallway. danielle’s head is on your shoulder, eyes fluttering. bedtime.
daniela walks up behind you like she forgot who she’s talking to. like everything can just be smoothed over with a joke and a smile.
“don’t touch me.”
you don’t raise your voice. you just say it low and calm, sharper than anything else you’ve said tonight.
daniela freezes with her hand halfway out, fingers curling back slowly.“yn—”
“you really stood in my house, in front of our daughter, and tried to flex about doing illegal shit like it makes you some kind of provider. like that’s love.”
daniela’s quiet.
you glance over your shoulder, just once.
“you don’t get to touch me. not after that.”
you don’t even look at her again. just shift danielle higher in your arms and head straight to her room, your breath tight the whole walk down the hall.
her room is quiet, soft. the nightlight glows pale purple in the corner, and everything smells like lavender and baby lotion. you hum a little as you set her down, not a lullaby or anything sweet, just something low to keep yourself from spiraling.
she stares up at you with heavy eyes, her fingers curling in the sleeve of your sweater like she doesn’t want you to go yet.
“it’s okay,” you whisper, brushing her hair back. “i’m right outside.”
she yawns, and your chest twists. because none of this is her fault. none of it.
you wait until she fully drifts off before slipping out of the room and shutting the door with that soft click you’ve perfected by now. then you head straight to the kitchen.
you don’t even sit. just start rinsing off plates and stacking them in the sink, sleeves rolled up, sponge in hand, water too hot.
you’re halfway through scrubbing when you hear her behind you.
you don’t acknowledge her. you don’t have to.
her hands are on your waist before you even feel her move.
arms sliding around you, slow and familiar, like they never forgot the shape of you. her chest is pressed up against your back, arms curling slow and deliberate around your waist like she’s got any right.
“dani,” you say, jaw tight. “don’t.”
she doesn’t move. she just shifts closer, one hand sliding up beneath the hem of your sweater like it’s second nature. her hips roll forward, and you feel her, heavy and shameless.
“i missed you…” she mumbles, lips brushing just behind your ear.
“and i miss when you knew boundaries.” you stop scrubbing the plate in your hand, but you don’t move. “get off me.”
she doesn’t.
just keeps rubbing against you, slow, teasing. hard, bold, like she’s always been.
daniela chuckles, low and smug. “you say that, but you still made sure i ate. still looked out.”
you rinse the plate off, set it down in the rack.
“i wish you would stop saying that. i cooked for danielle.”
“she’s on baby formula, yn.”
you grab another plate. keep scrubbing. “then i guess i just felt generous. don’t read too deep.”
she leans in again, a little closer. “nah. you don’t do anything unless you feel something.”
you slam the last plate into the rack with a clatter. four dishes. four chances to calm down, yet none of them worked.
you stare at her. curly hair, faded hoodie, chain still glinting under the kitchen light like she’s some kind of walking temptation. like your worst mistake wrapped in silk and bad decisions.
and yet—your body still remembers her. still reacts like muscle memory. you toss the sponge into the sink. “go home, daniela.”
she tilts her head. “this is home.”
you finish drying your hands and toss the towel on the counter. daniela’s still standing behind you, arms crossed now, quiet for once.
you don’t even glance at her as you walk off. “if you’re staying, don’t hover.”
“wasn’t hovering.” she mutters, following anyway.
the living room light’s off when you pass through. you don’t stop. just keep walking toward your bedroom like your mind’s already decided for you and your body’s catching up.
you hear her steps behind you, slow, confident, and annoying.
“so this where we pretend we’re not mad at each other?” she says, leaning against your doorframe.
“no,” you say, pulling off your sweater. “this is where i pretend you’re not stupid, for the sake of my sanity.”
daniela whistles low. “you say that with your whole back out.”
you shoot her a look over your shoulder. “close the door.”
she does. with a smirk.
you crawl into bed, not looking at her, not inviting her in either. just scrolling through your phone, blanket pulled up, pretending you’re chill.
daniela doesn’t ask permission. she never does. she just drops her hoodie too, like she owns the space, then slips off her jeans and slides in on the other side of the bed.
the mattress dips, and the air shifts. you don’t say anything. she shifts closer behind you, not touching yet, but there. “you really hate me, huh?” she asks, voice low in the dark.
you shrug, still not looking. “not enough, apparently.”
“you still looked out,” she says, quieter. “even when i didn’t deserve it.”
you sigh, and it’s heavier than you want it to be.
“don’t make this sweet. you’re not sorry. you’re just horny and bored.”
she laughs into your neck, bold enough to kiss your shoulder. “can’t it be both?”
you roll your eyes, but don’t move away.
“you’re so annoying.”
“and you’re so warm.” she says, wrapping an arm around your waist. she presses closer, hips flush against your ass now, and you feel her—hard, steady, smug.
you suck in a sharp breath. “don’t start.”
“you already did,” she says, voice low, mouth against your skin. “soon as you let me in here.”
you close your eyes, clenching your jaw.
daniela’s not even dressed for the night. she’s dressed for this. oversized tee clinging to her shoulders, boxers riding low on her hips, thighs warm against the back of yours as she closes the space between you like it’s nothing. like it’s always been this easy.
you feel her hand trail up under your shirt, slow fingers dragging along your stomach like she’s relearning you.
“i said don’t start.” you whisper, breath catching.
she kisses the back of your neck, lips soft but her hips anything but. she rolls against you once, slow enough to make your eyes flutter.
“but you never mean that…” she murmurs.
you clench your thighs together, already annoyed at how your body’s responding, how it always responds to her.
“dani…”
“hm?”
“i’m still pissed at you.”
she hums like she likes that. like that’s part of the thrill. “then be pissed. i won’t stop you.”
her hand slips lower, brushing the hem of your shorts, teasing the waistband, knuckles grazing skin.
“you’re so full of shit.” you whisper, voice shaking.
she presses a kiss to your jaw now, slow and soft. “and you’re so wet for someone who hates me.”
you gasp, turning to glare at her, but the moment your faces meet, she leans in and kisses you.
it’s not sweet, it’s desperate. teeth clashing, lips hot, like she’s trying to remind you of every reason you ever forgave her.
and god, it’s working.
you tug at her shirt, dragging her closer without thinking, nails digging into her side.
she groans against your mouth. “fuck. missed you.”
you bite her lip. “shut up.”
her boxers are pressing into you now, nothing between you but flimsy fabric and bad decisions.
“then shut me up.” she says.
you don’t answer her, you just pull her in harder.
the kiss turns hungrier, sloppier. your fingers slip under her shirt, dragging up over warm skin, feeling every flex of muscle as she shifts above you. her hand finally slips into your shorts, and you hiss at the contact.
“fuck—” you whisper, half a warning, half a plea.
daniela just smirks into your mouth, fingers sliding through your folds like she owns you. like she’s been waiting for this exact moment since the last time she left your bed.
“you’re always talkin’,” she murmurs, breath hot against your lips. “but your pussy never lies.”
you moan, sharp and helpless, as she circles your clit slow, teasing like she’s got all night.
“shut up.” you pant, hips rocking into her hand.
“make me.”
so you do.
you pull her shirt up and over her head, tossing it somewhere behind you, dragging your nails down her chest as she groans and leans in again. her boxers are straining, pressed firm against your thigh, and you grind up into her without shame now, every ounce of anger melting into heat.
“take ‘em off,” you whisper, tugging at the waistband.
“say please.”
you glare. “i’d rather die.”
she grins, cocky and flushed, and kicks them off anyway, letting them hit the floor as she shifts between your thighs.
and god—you feel her.
she pulls your shorts off and slides her cock against you, slow and heavy, teasing your entrance with that unbearable smugness she always wears when she’s right.
“missed this pussy,” she murmurs, dragging it up your slit, coating herself in you. “you still grip like you need me.”
you wrap your legs around her waist.
“less talking, more proving.”
she doesn’t waste another second.
she pushes in slow—too slow—and your back arches off the bed, the stretch making your breath catch in your throat.
“mm—fuck,” you whisper, legs already tightening around her waist.
daniela groans, head dropping into the crook of your neck as she bottoms out, hips pressed flush.
“tight as ever,” she mutters, hand gripping your thigh as she pulls back just enough to drag herself through you again. “like your pussy missed me.”
you grab her jaw and tilt her face up, eyes burning into hers. “shut the fuck up.”
“can’t,” she grins, rolling her hips in slow, deliberate strokes. “you always fuck me better when i talk too much.”
you hate that she’s right.
you’re trying to stay quiet—stoic, unreadable—but she knows your body like scripture. every stroke deeper than the last, her pace measured, like she wants to draw the words out of you.
and then she says it.
voice low. dirty. cruel.
“you want another baby, huh?”
your eyes snap open.
“w-what?”
she grinds deeper, cock sliding all the way in, her pelvis flush with yours. she doesn’t pull out right away. just stays there, buried inside, pressing her weight into you.
“that’s what this is, right?” she whispers against your jaw. “you keep letting me in. keep letting me fuck you raw. you tryna trap me again?”
your stomach flips. your nails dig into her back.
“you’re disgusting.” you breathe, even as your hips buck up into her.
“but your cunt is so greedy,” she says, finally starting to move again, slow and filthy. “gripping like it wants it. like you want it.”
you bite your lip so hard it stings, trying not to give her the satisfaction of the moan building in your throat.
“say it,” she growls, pace picking up. “you want me to fill you up again, huh? get you all swollen and pretty with my kid—”
you whimper, legs locking tighter around her waist.
“shut up, daniela.”
she grabs your chin, forcing you to look at her.
“then tell me to stop.”
but you don’t.
you can’t.
you just stare at her, flushed and breathing heavy, hating how much you love her like this.
“shit.” you whisper.
daniela smirks, rolling her hips faster now, her cock dragging along that spot that makes your legs shake. “that’s what i thought.”
daniela’s strokes get deeper—more deliberate. not rushed. just ruthless. she’s taking her time now, fucking you like she’s trying to build something unbearable. and you’re barely holding it together.
your hand flies to your mouth, teeth digging into your knuckles as your body jerks beneath her.
“shhh,” she whispers, lips brushing your ear. “you gonna wake our baby.”
and it’s the way she says our that makes your stomach flip again. like she’s still clinging to the idea of family. like she wants to.
you don’t respond, not with words. you just claw at her back, trying to pull her deeper, grind against her harder, chase the high that keeps slipping just out of reach.
daniela moves one hand between you, thumb pressing against your clit in tight, slow circles that make your toes curl.
you let out a sharp, guttural sound before you slap your hand back over your mouth.
she laughs, breathless and smug. “you’re so fuckin’ loud.”
“shut up.” you hiss, your voice trembling.
“nah. you gotta learn how to whisper please, baby.”
your thighs start shaking, whole body tensing as her cock pounds into you, her pace not frantic but intentional—like she knows exactly how close you are and wants to keep you right there, strung out on the edge.
you turn your face into the pillow, biting down hard, but a moan still rips out of you, quiet and wrecked.
daniela groans, hips stuttering. “shit—you always this wet when you hate me?”
“you’re a piece of shit.” you whisper, broken and breathless.
“oh yeah, i love when you call me that.”
you grab her hair and yank her down, kissing her like it’ll shut her up, like it’ll make this whole thing less filthy, less real. but it just makes it worse.
she ruts into you harder, losing her rhythm for a second, groaning into your mouth like she’s starting to lose her edge too.
you feel it building again—tight, hot, impossible to ignore.
her thumb’s still working your clit, her thrusts hitting perfectly now, your legs wrapped around her, bodies locked so close it’s like you’re trying to disappear into her.
your breath catches and your eyes flutter.
“daniela—” you gasp, barely able to get it out.
she kisses your cheek, then your jaw, then your mouth again, sloppy and deep.
“i got you,” she whispers. “cum for me.“
and that’s it.
your body locks up, hips jerking, walls clenching around her so tight she groans out loud and slams into you one last time, staying buried deep as you fall apart underneath her.
it’s messy. breathless. muffled by your hand and her mouth and the sheer desperation of trying not to cry out.
daniela bites your shoulder, whole body trembling as she finally lets go too, spilling inside you with a choked-out moan that she tries—and fails—to keep quiet.
you both stay there, clinging. breathing heavy. drenched in sweat and bad decisions.
the baby monitor in the corner stays mercifully silent, for now.
you’re still catching your breath, head pressed to her shoulder, heart thudding way too loud in your chest.
daniela shifts just enough to look at you, her hand still lazily tracing shapes into your thigh like she didn’t just rearrange your guts.
you don’t speak right away. neither does she.
you glance at her chest rising and falling. sweaty. flushed.
you hate how pretty she looks like this. how soft her eyes get right after.
“you okay?” she whispers finally, voice hoarse.
you roll your eyes, but it’s weak. “you askin’ now?”
“yeah,” she says, smirking a little. “just making sure i didn’t break you.”
“please.” you scoff. “you wish.”
she chuckles low and leans in to kiss your cheek. just a soft little press of her lips that makes your chest tighten before you can stop it.
you don’t pull away, but you don’t lean in either.
“i missed this.” she says, after a beat.
you exhale through your nose. “you missed fucking me.”
“no.” her voice is quieter now. “i mean, yeah. but also…us.”
you stare at the ceiling.
“you think fucking me erases all the shit you’ve done?”
she goes quiet for a second.
“no. but i think it means you still care.”
you look at her finally, eyes half lidded, mouth tugged down.
“if i didn’t care,” you murmur, “i wouldn’t still be this mad.”
she nods, fingers gently brushing your side, like she’s calming herself more than you.
“i’m trying,” she says softly. “i know i fuck up. i’m not gonna lie and say i’m perfect. but i’m still here, aren’t i?”
“barely,” you say under your breath. but you don’t really mean it.
she wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you a little closer, her nose brushing your temple.
“she’s beautiful,” she whispers. “our daughter.”
you feel your chest tighten all over again.
“yeah,” you say, just as soft. “she is.”
and then you both go quiet again, listening to the faint hum of the baby monitor, the sound of her soft, even breathing from the next room.
daniela kisses your hair, and you close your eyes. for now, the fight can wait.
take a shot every time yn says “shut up” like damn, also the header is so bunz bc i didn’t feel like looking for pictures 💔

MDNI
141 as your drug dealer boyfriend
Ghost- Let's be real with ourselves, Ghost is not a good man. He doesn't care who he hurts, as long as he gets his. He will do anything to get what he wants and there is no stopping him. It's what made him a great soldier, and it's what makes him a great kingpin. He moves weight to put it lightly. There isn't a moment where an uncut key is unmoving; from a warehouse, to a plane (or car, or train), to a distributor, to a pusher, to up someone's nose. He'll try to do some damage control, make sure things aren't cut with fent, but that's only to make sure customers keep coming back. He likes to keep his hands clean, in the sense that he'll never be the one to pull the trigger on anyone that's out of line. Living up to his name, no one knows what he looks like. Hell, a lot of people don't even think he's real.
But when it comes to you, Simon's a different man. No talk about work, just you and him. Other than the multiple hidden guns around the house and Glock he sleeps with, life is normal with you. Holiday homes in the French countryside and Bahamas. Designer everything. Sports cars in all your favorite colors. You want for nothing. It's the life he wanted for you. After all those years of crying and hurt when he was away for weeks or months, you deserved the world. Want the new Hermès bag? You got it. Can't choose between the black or white louboutins? Get both. Stop eating you out because you can't feel your toes anymore? Sorry love, only thing he can't do for you.
Soap- Johnny is a small business owner. Weighs everything out by his own hand. Presses his own pills. Let's you help baggie everything up. A social butterfly, this man is at every concert, rave, or music festival. Sometimes he has a friend help push his stuff when he just wants to stay home with you, but for the most part he's his own salesman. And a damn good one. Never has overstock. No matter how much he brings with him, he'll always sellout.
Has a supernatural sense of being shorted. Can tell if a bag is even a few grams off just by holding it.
"Ye'r an idiot if ye think ye kin short me."
And when the other party denies, he always keeps a pocket scale on him, setting the parcel on it. And sure enough, he's always right.
He'll come home with a few grand, the only job you have is to sit there and look pretty. And roll his spliffs. Sitting in his lap, tucking the rolling paper into itself and licking it closed while he counts out a fat wad of cash. He hands you a fat stack,
"A've never bin good wi' money. Ye know how to spend it better than me."
He never touches the stuff he sells, no need to when all the dopamine he needs is right between your legs.
"Ten times better than any o tha' shite, anyways."
He pants in your ear while folding you in half, firm grip on your throat.
Gaz- When it comes to psychedelics, Kyle is your go-to man. He's a fucking genius, synthesizes his own DMT and LSD in a lab. It's a state of the art facility, clean with the latest and greatest equipment available. He supplies the whole Northeast. If it's a hallucinogen, it's most likely Gaz's product. And if it's good, it's definitely his. He has a cozy set up with some "organization" that he cooks for. Steers clear of actually selling to people, no need to when his clients line his pockets so well. Never brings work home, he even wears different clothes when he's in the lab.
He has a set schedule he has to adhere to but sometimes he's able to take vacations with you. And that's how you ended up bent over a balcony watching the sunset in Punta Cana,
"I work so hard to make you happy, now it's my turn yeah?"
A breeze sends a shiver up your spine while he kisses your shoulder,
"I know a private beach where you can even out those tan lines,"
Of course he doesn't give a shit about that, he just wants to fuck you silly on the seaside (and show off to anyone who might be watching.)
Price- Caring and nurturing, the man naturally has a green thumb. And alongside his prized heirloom tomatoes, he grows really, really good weed. Has a whole growroom in his basement, decked out with proper ventilation, ACs, UV lights, the works. The man grows medical grade weed that private clinics buy from him. He's legit. And of course he serves the public as well under the table, sells only to people he knows and established clients can refer others to him. He treats his plants like his babies, even going as far as to play music for them (according to him classical music helps them grow better???). You don't know where he finds the time, but he also made you rose garden for your anniversary. He brings up the idea of a family every so often. He'll finish as deep inside of you as possible,
"Let's replace that plant nursery for a real one, yeah love?"
Gonna write actual stories for each one if y'all like this ( . * 3 * . )/`

Steve Harrington x fem!reader ♡ 969 words
It was shaping up to be a slow, easy day. Grocery shopping, followed by a date with Steve, followed by an afternoon spent making out on your couch. Simple, satisfying. Routine, after a little over a month of dating Steve. That all went out the window when your doorbell rang and you broke Steve’s kiss to answer it.
There were six kids waiting outside. Too young to be missionaries, too many boys to be selling girl scout cookies. Loud and gesticulating and talking over each other and all asking for Steve.
You didn’t have to call for him. He came like their chaos drew him, appearing at your side with an exasperated look on his face.
“What the hell are you guys doing here?”
They all began talking over each other again. Somewhere in there, Steve introduced you, rattling off a bunch of names you’re trying very hard to keep straight, and eventually it becomes clear that they came looking for him because Dustin got gum stuck in his hair and they can’t agree on how to get it out.
“Just cut it out,” Max insists, with the long-suffering air of someone who’s repeated themselves more than once. “It’s the only way.”
“That’s what I’m saying.” Mike throws up his hands.
“I can’t cut it out, it’s right by my scalp!” Dustin practically squeaks. Tilting your head, you can see that there is, indeed, some white gummy residue sticking to the edge of his baseball cap and the hair above his ear. “Do you know how long it took me to grow it out this much? Do you have any idea?”
Max throws Steve a droll look, arms crossed. “You made him vain.”
“Hey, we’ll see how you like it if you get gum stuck in your hair,” Steve says back. He asks Dustin, “Did you try peanut butter?”
The kids go quiet.
“You didn’t even try peanut butter?” Steve sounds appalled. He sighs, tenting his fingers over his brow like an overwrought parent. You fight a smile. “That’s the first thing you try! Look, you go find a jar of peanut butter—creamy peanut butter, not that nutty shit—"
“Hey!”
“I don’t care what peanut butter your mom uses, Henderson—use the creamy kind, and it’ll come right out. Okay? It’s the oldest trick in the book.”
“I have peanut butter,” you say.
Everyone turns to look at you. The kids like they’ve forgotten you were there, Steve like he’s trying to convey a warning with his eyes.
“You can use mine,” you go on anyway.
They all look at Steve as if for permission. After a second, he sighs. “Okay, yeah, come on.” He waves them inside.
It’s sort of funny watching Steve interact with this band of teenagers. Sort of sweet, too. He’s all sighs and eye rolls, fondness hidden under the veneer of annoyance, but he’s not rough as he works the peanut butter into Dustin’s hair. As he does it, he gets the story for how the gum wound up there in the first place.
“I was seriously just trying to chew my gum—“ Lucas starts.
“No—no, you were blowing bubbles with it, which is distracting when someone’s trying to read—”
“Do comics really take all of your concentration, Dustin?” Max asks sardonically. “Do they really?”
“Fine, I was blowing bubbles, and Dustin wouldn’t shut up about how he wanted me to stop—”
“You wouldn’t shut up with the bubbles!” Dustin counters.
“So I started blowing them by his ear, and when one popped it got stuck.”
Steve’s face wrinkles. “Ew. What the hell, Sinclair?”
“It was funny!”
“It was funny,” Max agrees.
Quietly, as though to himself, Will mutters, “It was stupid.”
They go on like this, bickering and forging alliances and then breaking them, until the gum is out and Steve shoos them all out the door.
He shuts it with a weary exhale. Checks to be sure it’s locked before coming to join you on the couch again, setting his hand on your hip like you’re just going to carry on as you were before the doorbell rang. You’re smiling like the cat that got the cream.
“Sorry about that,” he says, leaning towards you.
You lean back. “How many children are you friends with?”
Steve sighs. “You’re actually not the first person to ask me that,” he mumbles. “It’s not like we’re friends friends. I’m more like their babysitter.”
“They look, like, fourteen.”
“Most of them are actually fifteen.” He runs a hand through his hair, cringing. “I don’t know. We hang out, I guess. Not in a creepy way. They ask me for advice and stuff.”
“About getting gum out of their hair.”
“Sometimes, yeah.” He eyes you. “You think it’s weird.”
You shake your head, biting your lip to control your grin. “I think it’s sweet.”
Steve looks hopeful. “Yeah?”
“Mhm.”
He smiles, too, as he leans down again, settling his weight over you. You recline against a throw pillow, finally letting him pick up where he left off.
“I swear it’s not, like, a move I do or anything,” he says as he kisses your shoulder. “I didn’t know they were coming.”
“I believe you,” you reply.
His mouth moves up the line of your throat, your knees tipping outward to allow him to slot in between.
“It’s interesting that they knew to find you here, though.”
Steve hesitates. “I…may have mentioned you,” he admits, somewhere between sheepish and flirting as he kisses the corner of your lips. “That bother you?”
You smile, letting yourself be kissed. “No, that’s alright.”
“It’s okay that I let them in here?”
“I’m the one who invited them in.”
“I know, but. Still.”
“Your kids can come over whenever you want, Steve.”
He groans, landing a firm kiss on your lips. “Shut up.”

He shoves his feet into his sneakers and then double checks that he has everything: keys, wallet, an old Trader Joe's bag filled with a lemon-blueberry pie, two almond-cranberry loaves, a bunch of cream puffs, ice cream bread, a fruitcake, and a cheese danish almost as big as the circumference of the bag opening, plus the stupid cue cards he spent an hour writing out.
Exhaling, Buck glances at his watch. 11:09pm. That gives him about 35 minutes to get to South Robertson, 10 minutes to hyperventilate in the Jeep, three minutes to do the most humiliating thing he's ever dreamed of doing, and one minute to hopefully ring in the new year before it officially starts.
The plan is foolproof, it's Chimney approved, and it's the only one he's got. He can't spend another two months baking and staring at his phone hoping to see bubbles dancing. And not just because none of the grocery stores within a ten mile radius of the loft will sell him small batch vanilla extract anymore.
He can't spend another two months feeling like he's suffering from something that Hen would normally use the LifePak to fix. Which is why this is going to work. It has to. Because he can't think about what the next year is going to be like if it doesn't.
"Okay," Buck murmurs, nodding to himself. "It's go time."
Slipping the bag handles over his wrist and tucking the cards under his arm, he pulls the door open and walks right into a brick wall.
"Shit, I'm sorry," the wall says, steadying Buck with big, familiar hands, then bends down to pick up the cards that had spilled to the floor. "I wouldn't have been standing there if I'd known you were gonna fly out like the place was on fire."
It's been a while since Buck's felt this wrong-footed—two months, to be exact—and that's the only reason why he opens his mouth and "You ruined my plan!" falls out.
Tommy looks up from the cue cards with a disbelieving smile. It's the same one that had spread across his face after bad coffee and a plea for a second chance. You already know I'm interested. "Were you going to Love, Actually me?"
He turns the cards in his hands and shows the top one to Buck. It says To me, you are perfect an asshole (but I want you anyway).
Buck puts down the Trader Joe's bag and gives himself a minute to drink Tommy in. He looks good, if wan. The bags under his eyes are new, but the way he curls his shoulders in, like he's trying to make himself smaller, turn himself into a smaller target, takes Buck right back to the last time Tommy was here.
"I-In my defense, Chimney thought it was a stroke of genius," Buck grouses. "Although I'm starting to suspect that he was just giving me shit."
Genuine amusement makes hills and valleys out of the corners of Tommy's eyes, and the way the sight of them makes something unknot inside of Buck feels like muscle memory. He used to wish that his own crow's feet were that pronounced; it always seemed like Tommy's were a mark of a life spent smiling. But even the knowledge that many of those smiles weren't real can't stop Buck from being charmed.
With shaking hands, Buck takes the cue cards from Tommy, who seems a little reluctant to let them go, and absolutely doesn't clutch them to his chest like a shield.
"What are you doing here?"
Tommy scratches at his forearm, a little tic that draws Buck's eye, and because of it he almost doesn't see the tremor in Tommy's bottom lip when he breathes out shakily and says, "I was on shift today, and Nico asked everyone what their New Year's resolutions were. I didn't have one. I never do. It's not something I ever—just getting through the year intact has always been my goal. You really can't call that a resolution."
Buck can't help but give a mystified nod, because he has no idea where this is going, but he honestly doesn't care. Tommy's here. He's here.
"But I couldn't stop thinking about it," Tommy continues, and the laugh he chokes out sounds like it scores the inside of his throat on its way out. "Tonight I had a little kid code in the back of my bird on the way to First Pres, and all I could think about was what my resolution would be if I had one."
"D-Did the kid make it?"
"No," Tommy sighs. "No, he didn't. And I sat on the roof of the hospital for, like, twenty minutes sobbing like a baby, because all I wanted was to hear the sound of your voice. I just wanted to call you and I wouldn't let myself."
The image of Tommy crying alone in a cockpit and denying himself even a little bit of comfort hits Buck like a sucker punch. "W-Why didn't you?"
"I was scared," Tommy admits with a smile that hurts to look at. The corners of his eyes crease anyway. "I was shit scared that I'd call and you'd, I don't know, tell me to go fuck myself, or tell me that I did you a favor by breaking things off. Or worse: the call wouldn't go through at all, because you'd blocked me. You had every right to do any of those things, but... I was too afraid to find out what it'd be. So I didn't."
The prickling heat in the corners of Buck's eyes and in his sinuses feels like a warning. He clears his throat, trying to head it off at the pass, but his eyes feel too wet to safely blink.
"But then why are you—"
"I was on my way home when it hit me out of nowhere: my resolution. Forty-something years and I finally had one."
Heart pounding, Buck takes a step forward and ventures, breathless, "Which was...?"
"My resolution was to be brave for once in my life." Tommy's nose scrunches like he's holding in a laugh, but his eyes look suspiciously glassy. "And suddenly I was parked outside your building."
"Y-You got a space?"
Tommy laughs wetly. "Believe it or not, it was the same one I got that night. And as I pulled in, I thought, 'See that, Kinard? Even the universe is telling you to stop being such a fucking coward.'"
"Your resolution is to be brave," Buck echoes, and just saying it feels like standing at the edge of a canyon and being unable to judge the distance from one side to the other because of the sun in his eyes. "T-That's a good one. We could all stand to be a bit braver this year."
Swallowing, Tommy shakes his head, but before Buck can flirt with the notion of a breakdown, he steps closer. Enough that Buck can count his individual lashes; enough to see the fear in his eyes, as well as the determination holding it at bay.
"I'm no expert, but I hear the best resolutions are the ones where there's someone to hold you to them." He stares into Buck's eyes as he talks but, with every other word, his gaze dips lower.
"I've made and broken a million resolutions in my life. I think that makes me an expert," Buck murmurs. "And yeah, having someone hold you accountable is the key to keeping them."
"I've still got—" Tommy glances down at his watch. "—forty-one minutes. Maybe I should wait until midnight, make it a clean start. What's your expert opinion on—"
Whatever he's about to say gets cut off when Buck drops the cue cards to the floor and presses his entire body into Tommy's. He hopes Tommy can feel every single vibration coming from his bones.
Whether or not he does is anyone's guess, but Tommy doesn't hesitate in wrapping his arms around Buck, sliding a hand up his back to cup the base of his skull, gasping a little in the space between their mouths when Buck rests his forehead against Tommy's. He's shaking even harder than Buck, but his hold is steadfast.
"I'm going to nail your ass to the wall if you break this resolution," Buck whispers.
"I'm counting on it," Tommy whispers back. "In the meantime, you should show me the cue cards. This is literally a fantasy of mine."
Snorting, Buck bites playfully at the bolt of his jaw, and tries not to go completely boneless in relief. "I'm so glad you fucked up my plan. That movie is so bad, Tommy, and I had to re-watch that stupid scene a hundred times to get the cue cards right. You don't deserve them."
"Say 'it's carol singers,'" Tommy nuzzles at his cheek. "Just once. I've been incredibly brave tonight and I deserve something."
"Suffer," Buck laughs, and kisses him into next year.

ೃ⁀➷ spoil you, plug!eren
eren hated when you spent your own money, but you don’t listen.
thinking about the way plug!eren would take you on his drops with him. you were so quiet and in your own world, he never minded the fact that you had your freshly white painted toes resting against the dash of his mercedes AMG coupe. the entire car was blacked out with expensive ceramic tints, protecting you both from your usual…late night activities.
your glasses rested on the cute bridge of your nose as your left leg was sat in eren’s lap while your right rested against the dashboard. eren was lucky that he fucked with most of his customers heavy…you two had been waiting for the dude to meet y’all for nearly thirty minutes now, and had it been someone else, eren would have sped away long time ago.
eren comfortingly rubbed your baby soft feet in the grasp of his tattooed hand, one with beautiful realism art of your own eye. with a turn of his head, he could see you practically nose deep in the bright screen of your phone illuminating through the car. “you growing bored mama?” his voice is concerned. “ian think we was gonna be waiting this long on dude…my bad baby.”
you hadn’t said much since you’d gotten in the car, just wanting to hurry and add all of your things to your shopping cart on the skims website. “nah, ‘m just…trying…to do somethin’ real quick,” you bite your lip as you tap away on your phone. you were trying to add as many things to your cart before it was gone. “before this shit sell out.”
eren being the nosy boy he is leans against your shoulder to see what you were doing. but the moment he’d seen you type in numbers that belonged to what he knew as your own debit card, he kissed his teeth in annoyance. “man how many times i gotta tell you to stop using your card to go shopping bae?” you roll your eyes at his words. “i’m serious, you got all three of my cards on ya phone for a reason. fuck is you typing in your info for?”
don’t get him wrong, eren loved the fact that you were independent and knew how to handle money almost perfectly now that you were in your twenties. but being together with you for so long, he continued to step up with his provider capabilities by always taking care of you. whether it was paying your bills, rent—everything in between.
but of course it was a struggle when ms. i can do it all by myself meets mr. i know you can but let me do it for you
“because i’m spending like 600 dollars,” you point out to his previous question with an obvious scoff. “i’m not asking you for that.” eren mirrors your actions and rolls his eyes again.
eren looks at you as if you’re insane and suffered memory loss for the past four years you’ve been together. “babe…i make that shit in one night. actually—fuck a night—i make that shit in two hours!”
it wasn’t like he was lying either, with the way that eren was one of the only trusted plugs in town, it was very easy that he’d bring at least a band a night on a consistent basis. selling for almost six years was finally paying off.
you two hardly ever fought, but if you did, it was always about money. eren knew how long you’ve had to do things on your own physically and financially. you couldn’t go to your mom for help, you didn’t have a dad to beg, so it was all on you since you’d been 16. but now that he had eren, he’d just wish you’d let him take the burden of money of your shoulders and take care of you the way you take care of him.
after a few minutes, your boyfriend holds his hand out. you give him crazy eyes, but eventually follow orders by putting your phone in his hand. “don’t know how many times i gotta tell yo stubborn ass, forreal,” he grunted. “‘s never a problem spoiling my baby. you don’t ever ask me for nothing. let me feel useful and get you stuff, mama.”
with a sigh, you nod your head, like you always did. there was no way eren was gonna take no for an answer when it came to spoiling his wife.
in response, eren uses his free hand to delete your information and instead place the correct numbers—the information to his amex black card. all the money he has, he sits and does nothing with it, so why not buy you all the things you’ve never had before?
when you hear the chime of your phone confirming your order, eren hands you the phone back and goes to look out his dark window.
with your acrylics, you grab eren by the neck and slowly turn him back to face you. “thanks papa,” you gave him genuine eyes.
eren leans forward and pecks your lips. with a serious face, he pecks you one more time before wrapping his tatted fingers around your neck erotically. with a look in your eyes he tells you, “always tell me what you want, no matter how much, mama. you know daddy gonna get that shit for you one way or another, regardless.”

𝒴ℴ𝓊 𝓃ℯ𝓋ℯ𝓇 𝓂ℯ𝓃𝓉𝒾ℴ𝓃ℯ𝒹 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝒶 𝓈𝒾𝓈𝓉ℯ𝓇
barrys little sister!reader x rafe, she’s naive, innocent, a bit dumb.

You sat on the chair in front of your desk, looking into your vanity mirror with focused eyes as you applied your lip gloss.
You pocketed it after, your eyebrows furrowed when you heard a knock on the door. Your brother was still selling, and he had always had specific instructions to not open the door when he’s not home.
You jumped when the person began banging now, shouting Barry’s name. You were torn, not sure whether or not to disobey your brother.
He shouted even louder, making you sigh and stand up. What’s the worst that could happen? You went over to the door, opening it so there was a crack.
“Hello?” You murmured, peeking through the crack of the door.
“Is he here?” The man asked, his voice urgent. You opened the door wider now, shaking your head at him.
His eyes widened when you opened the door. You were dressed in a pink juicy jacket, your lacy bra peeking out under along with miss me jeans, all things you had luckily found at some garage sale nearby.
And Jesus, if you weren’t the most precious thing he’s ever set his eyes on.
He stammered as he mumbled out an apology, beginning to walk away before you said something.
“Wait, sir!” You spoke, remembering how he also would never want to lose a customer, especially not because of you.
“Yeah?” He turned around.
“Are you- a friend of his, or something?”
He paused. “Something like that, yeah…” he said, his hands scratching the back of his neck.
“I’m sure he won’t mind if you stay here, just until he comes back. He’s out with some other guy right now.” You said with a small shrug, a smile on your face.
It’s as if you were a siren, because he didn’t know why, but he found himself drifting closer to you, shutting the door as he followed you inside.
“You want… coffee or something? Water?” You asked him as you went over to the counter, grabbing some chocolate milk from the fridge and pouring it into the cup.
“Uh.. no- no thanks.” He said, his hands on his knees as he sat on the couch.
You sat onto the other one, not noticing his staring while you drunk the chocolate milk.
“Uhm… if you don’t mind me asking, I’ve never seen you here before, and I know he never lets his girls stay-“
“Ew! No, no, no.” You quickly protested before he could finish, almost spitting out your drink. “I’m his sister.” You said with a giggle, his cheeks turned a light pink.
“Shit- ‘f course. I’m sorry.” He said with a quiet laugh, running a hand through his hair.
“It’s okay. I live here, but usually I’m just in my room, and he tells me not to come out when people come over.”
“He never.. mentioned he had a sister. And he definitely didn’t mention he had one who was as pretty as you.” He spoke, his attempt at flirting clearly working when he saw your eyes widen and a small smile spreading across your face.
There was the sound of a motorcycle outside, stepping up to the trailer and going to unlock the door when he finds out it’s already open.
Barry furrowed his eyebrows when he opened the door to see you and Rafe fucking Cameron sitting there.
“The fuck is he doing in here? And what did I tell you about leaving this damn door unlocked? What the hell, y/n?” He said, voice booming.
You looked at him. “I’m sorry! He was banging on the door, and I was trying to do my hair. I can’t do that with all that noise!”
Barry sighed, shaking his head before waving his hand.
“Whatever, just- just go back in the fuckin’ room.” He said, making you huff and storm into the room.
“You never mentioned you had a sister.” Rafe spoke.
“I didn’t for a reason, country club.” Barry mumbled out when he noticed Rafe’s staring , already pulling out a bag full of the white powder.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
A few days later, you were walking around the trailer park, simply saying hello and enjoying the nice weather. Rafe came up, presumably going to Barry. But you stopped him.
“Hey, Rafe!” You said with a smile again.
“Hey, sweetheart. He not here again?” He asked, nodding to the trailer..
“No. Out again. I’m so bored. That’s why I’m out here.”
“How long is he gonna be out?”
“I dunno… but he said he’d be a while.” You said with a shrug.
“It’s too late for a girl like yourself to be outside, you know? I think he would want me to bring you back inside.”
You sighed. “He would say the exact same thing.” You told Rafe with a pout, he just chuckled and put a hand on the small of your back, leading you back to your trailer.
“Uh, I should get going, I guess..” he told you, standing in front of the door now. You watched him begin to leave before you spoke again.
“Wait!” You said, stopping him like you did a few days before.
He turned around, eyebrows furrowed.
“Stay and keep me company? I think he wouldn’t want you leaving his little sister all alone.”
A grin making its way onto his face, he nodded. His plan was working.
Rafe and you sat back on the couch now, your legs propped up on the couch as you switched through the cable channels.
Rafe watched your every move with hungry eyes. He knew he needed to have you, and he would.
