The frustrating thing is, “soft” science fiction then proceeds to hand-wave how the spaceships work with bogus science anyways, and it becomes clear that their wizards just wear white coats. I prefer to be honest with the reader and just say a dragon wizard did it. And that way the story has dragon wizards too now instead of something or other beams or drives.

I have some pretty cool news today.  

The Poll results: I think the results were pretty clear since day one, hahaha! So I'm already working on a slightly NSFW Matt POV (I'm having a lot of fun with it XD), and I'll post it by Wednesday (23). 

This one will be all about a party, an after-party, a game of "I trust" (which is something pretty common in SP/Brazil), and some harmless fun. ;) If you don't know how to play "I trust," don't worry, Matt will teach you, hahaha. 😈

Aaaaaand... I just re-released my Gay Supervillain Novel!

If you haven't been following me for long, you might not know this, but I used to work as a contracted writer for a platform that kept all the distribution rights to my five finished books for ~4 years. When my contract ended and I decided to stop working with them, I had to wait one year to fully regain my rights back... and now that they're officially back (since July 13th), I can finally re-release my babies exactly the way I want! Yaaaaaay! I'm so excited i.i ♥♥♥

The first one in the list is one of my faves, "Bear in Sheep's Clothing," which won an award in Science Fiction back in 2020.

You have seen my brief worldbuilding pieces, but I have never really told anyone about this Universe.

It's a science-fantasy taking place in a galaxy resulting from the collision of the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxy, so in a very far future. But billions of years before all those species were created, humans also existed and became insanely advanced. They have never met any other lifeforms, so they made hundreds if not thousands species of single-cell organisms designed to survive the environment of many specific planets, to populate the barren Universe with life. However, humanity went extinct due to unknown reasons, and only few of the human-made organisms managed to thrive in their new environments and evolve further, and the species shown here are those cells, but around 3-4 billion years later.

Whenever humans appear in fantasy or science fiction we are usually the boring default who aren’t strong or fast or magical and the writer has to make something up to make us interesting but we already have a special ability: our stamina.

We can go forever compared to most other animals on earth. When you look it up you’ll mostly find stuff about running but our ability to walk and walk and walk is insane too. We are not the only creature with this ability but we are among the top.

I used to go on walks with my housemate and sometimes her cat would join us. He’d start huffing and puffing halfway through the walk and she’d joke about how out of shape he was but in reality cats just aren’t made for long continuous walking. They hide and attack in quick bursts. Heck I’d sometimes go on walks that turned out to be too long for my dogs despite dogs being endurance hunters like us.

So I think we deserve more acknowledgment for our stamina and endurance in otherworldly settings. We are the race that can keep going long after our party had to sit down and take a breather.

Sergi the Savant. The Exalted Priest of Natrun, the leader of local clergy and your spiritual advisor. Loves discussing philosophy, baking cakes and holding hands by the fireplace. Has a truly magnificent beard.

Marcia Rupoli. Your loyal Castellan, tasked with enforcing your laws and protecting your life. Very strong, very skilled and very good-looking. Likes strong men, and strong women too.

Farai. A wandering performer whose troupe got stuck in Natrun right before the war. Eager to become your friend, your ally, and perhaps something more. Tall, handsome and just a little dangerous.

Elvira. You elven stylist and confidant, only recently freed from the shackles of slavery. May or may not need a hug. As feminine as a girly girl can get.

The game is currently 150k words long (not counting ChoiceScript code) with three chapters and a prologue available to everyone. Updates are released on a monthly basis. Patreon users receive early access to major updates, as well as exclusive access to bonus material.

Since the story is still in early stages, I will greatly welcome feedback of all kinds. Feel free to ask, comment, react and engage in whatever way you deem suitable.

Science Fantasy Prompts

Every good space ship has an alchemist on their crew, both for healing, but also for warfare.

An archaeologist discovers a series of ancient artifacts that possess both magical and scientific properties. Now they are trying to piece together the artifacts' history and finding out how created them.

The world's energy comes from magically playing instruments. When the underlying sound stops, so does the energy and therefore all their technology. So an IT guy, a wizard and a bard are getting send to the cave where the instruments are to fix them and in the bard's case, to play them in the meantime.

In a vast, interdimensional library that contains the knowledge of every world, a librarian with magical abilities and a tech-savvy historian join forces to prevent an attack on the worlds' knowledge.

Dragons used to be a normal part of society, but with the more advanced technology and skyscrapers, they are seen less and less in the cities.
