Belsky Lab
Another Severance-inspired laboratory center for your secret science career sims!
Now for DOWNLOAD!
SFS | OneDrive
Notes: the lot is zoned as residential on the largest (50 x 60? 60 x 50?) lot size, because I feel that this lot is perhaps best not open to the public.
Cleaninstaller is recommended when installing the lot, although the lot has been cleaned and packaged without unnecessary mods.
I have also included a document with a list of CC used in this lot and those used in Belsky Work (check out Part I here).

wesker’s belief in science is actually quite different from his predecessors (oswald spencer & dr. wesker) and while it does fall into the category of eugenics, wesker is more grounded on natural selection which is commonly known as “survival of the fittest.” survival of the fittest meaning that certain individuals are just better suited for certain environments (due to genetics) and are more likely to survive in those environments than others. therefore, to wesker, it makes them superior. there is nothing that wesker says or does in RE5 that even suggests that his scientific beliefs are rooted in racial discrimination. his predecessors, on the other hand, who created the wesker project and procured the children for the experiment were incredibly racially and financially biased. they picked children to adopt for the wesker project based on their parents’ contributions to mankind. they picked children who were all blonde haired and blue eyed and white. wesker had nothing to do with this. he was just a child that was, unfortunately, picked and essentially sold off by his parents. if anything, wesker hates people. he has a very distorted perception of human beings, especially as someone who has suffered at their hands (not that he’s aware of that fact) and as someone who doesn’t consider himself human at all. as a scientist, wesker is a firm believer in objectivity. any bias or inequality is not true science in his eyes which is why the uroboros project is so important to him. it's a true project of natural selection that he believes will make the human race better in the long run. there is absolutely no bias in this project, simply that, some people will live and most will die.
#this is just a brief explanation due to that one ask i got#about whether wesker is a naz* or not and he's not#his scientific beliefs have nothing to do with racial supremacy#wesker HATES scientists that let their biases and opinions#affect projects because that's NOT what science is about to him#it is wild to me that people in the fandom even thinks this??#at least PLAY the video games and pay attention to the scenes#making an assumption that he's a naz* because#he's a eugenics project lab rat is not fair#anyways. hope this helps with understanding#where wesker comes from ideology wise as a scientist#* ⟢ ALBERT WESKER ( headcanons )

me when i forgot to get a new lab notebook and now that i've been given one i've filled 5 pages with writing near-instantly
#no results bc i've only technically been assigned to this project for less than a week#but planning. lots of planning and rough sketches of protocols#next week is for writing more fleshed-out protocols for the first experiments and finding reagents and doing risk assessments i guess#paper lab books my beloved. i hate digital versions. no disrespect to people who use them but they are not for me#science posting

My student is culturing the cancer cells in the lab on her own today:
student: Hey! I calculated the number of flasks that I need to make, and it is more than 200!
me: That's impossible!
student: That's what it is with 10.000 cells per flask...
me: You should have 10.000 cells per cm^2 not per flask. 1 flask has 75 cm^2, so it's 750.000 cells per flask.
me: 😆 200 flasks is quite a bit overkill. I am glad you asked and did not go for it.

For Harper: Why do you pursue science as you do? What drew you to it?
"Oh!" They exclaim softly, one hand coming to a rest against their collar. "I... hm. It's how I make sense of everything, I suppose. Understanding found through study and experimentation. From the smallest speck of dust to the faraway skies, there is always something to learn, and always something worth learning. And isn't that just beautiful?"
Their hand flutters as they try to keep relatively still. Not out of self consciousness, you think, simply trying to preserve energy.
"That was only half your question, though, wasn't it? Apologies. What drew me to science...?"
Harper looks off into the distance, thinking. After a moment, their smile slips a fraction towards neutrality, and then a moment later their brow furrows.
And then they smile once more, a little sheepish. "I'm not actually sure! But I don't mind. Sometimes a question you don't have an answer to can be delightful in its own way."
#the scientist scribbles#c: harper faraday#ask#tyyyyy for the ask you sent so many <3#character lore bit: isabelle had a passion for the scientific side of botany as well as the floriography side#wasn't super allowed to pursue it in earnest but the interest was there!#so when Harper split a lot of those scientific inclinations passed to them in like. an effort to have Someone be able to pursue it#so they've had an inclination for science since they formed! baked in babey! but a Lot of it was personal choice to pursue it too#they could've easily gone the more literary academic route or gone full swing into cryptozoology with the vake#but nah they decided they just really really like getting elbow deep into every new topic they can get their hands on#and yet botany still holds a place in their heart. even if they don't know why <3#(off topic but important for me: isabelle does get to work in the lab sometimes on botanical projects. and she loves every second.)
