a lesson in sharing
Alex Albon/George Russell/Lando Norris/Oscar Piastri, 4.2k words, oneshot, explicit
He felt like such an dick. Not only was his own boyfriend just across the net, so too was the boyfriend of the man he was currently ogling. He’d tried his best when they’d first started, attention fully on the game, but the more exhausted he got, the harder it got to keep his eyes from wandering.
Or: Alex teaches Lando how to eat his boyfriend out until he cries :)

Undertale? On my blog? In 2024? This is what happens when you have a depression episode and decide to watch random video game playthroughs to cheer yourself up. Jacksepticeye was so much louder back then, jeez.

So I was rewatching the hbomb plagiarism video to get some chill morning embroidery time in and I got to the bit about Radclyff Hall and her book, The Well of Loneliness, about lesbian WW1 ambulance drivers, and the video says all of her books were ordered burned, but I was curious and fam. At least one person hid their copy. It's on Project Gutenberg Australia. So if you want to read about lesbian ambulance drivers in the first world war...

is canarian spanish actually different to regular spanish?
not in the way that for example Catalan is, but there are some differences to Castilian Spanish
vocabulary:
They have words like fisco/ fisquito (= a small amount), chacho (= to express surprise; instead of for example 'tío'), guagua (= bus; instead of 'autobus'), papas (=potatos; instead of 'patatas'), cotufas/ roscas (= popcorn, instead of 'palomitas'), cholas (= flip flops, instead of 'chanclas'), manís (= peanut; instead of 'cacahuete'), queque (= cake, instead of 'tarta'/ 'bizcochón'/ 'bizcocho'), jugo (=juice, instead of 'zumo')
They use anglicisms such as 'naife' (= knife), 'quinegua' (word for a type potato coming from the shortened version of 'King Edward')
Here is a dictionary of canarismos
pronunciation:
The 'th' sound that is very common when pronouncing the letter 'c' or 'z' is pronounced like an 's' ('cenar' would be pronounced 'senar' instead of 'thenar')
The 's' is pronounced like an 'h' if it is a word ending or prior to a consonant ('las moscas' would be pronounced 'lah mohcah')
grammar:
They omit the word 'de' when used in phrases that describe possession ('casa pedri' instead of 'casa de pedri')
They often also use the preterite rather than the perfect tense ('hoy estudi' instead of 'hoy he estudiado')
They use 'ustedes' instead of ‘vosotros’ (except in La Gomera and La Palma, for some reason) and 'su/sus' instead of 'vuestro/vuestros'
Diminutives are usually shorter ('bailito' instead of 'bailecito' or 'pueblito' instead of 'pueblecito'

hello!
so since my life is kinda a disaster right now i decided to “reopen” this account because i want to share my study journay (but not only) and have positive vibes. i had this page i believe in my first and second and second year of uni and now i’m not a student anymore since i graduated in february, i did spend a lot of money on taking the ielts test to apply for a master in communication design in my dream uni just to think i made it in and realised the day after that i did not and i was just in the waiting list and right know i have little to no plans for my future because i do not know if i’m going to be in and to find a reasonable priced studio flat in the most expensive city of italy.
my only good news is that my aunt when found out that i did not get in told me to go and live with her family in london for some months this way since i already have a bachelor degree can apply for jobs in the design fields and do some networking. it’s sounds like a dream if only my heart wasn’t broken from the fact that i will not go to milan and live the life me and my friends where imagining.
i know what’s the right thing to do and it all seem i sign from the universe: passing the ielts test with a band 7.5 while i was expecting a band 6, failing to get in the master of my dream and living in milan, found a spot to do my passport so it will be ready for september, my aunt asking me to go to london right when there will be a design festival and then apply for jobs there. i’m torn apart and don’t know what to do so while i decide what i want to do with my life i’m going to post here my post-uni studies like language learning (chinese and korean) and design courses to add to my cv and make new projects.
so how are you doing?
