The Lost Continent of the Ape (Art & Lore Drop)
A premise heavily influenced by planet of the apes (the og series). Set on a undiscovered continent located in the southern Indian Ocean where simians are the dominant intellectual species. A total of 7: Chimpanzees, Bonobos, Gorillas, Orangutans, Mandrills and Gibbons. The remaining two groups, the "primates who remain wild beasts", being Capuchin and Lemurs. Embedded in their culture that long snouts and tails are signs of that former wild living ancestry. Traded them to their all mighty simian god for speech and a thinking mind.
An assortment of continent exclusive animals and remnants of bygone eras that live on to present day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zuek — Top student sort. Inquisitive, but nieve. Etc. Had looked at WuKong art/fan art for inspo in the design.
Prof. Ma’Donn — Highly respected among apes. Simianese and the ape culture of old are his bread and butter. Believes looking to their past to find answers for their future. Zuek is his top student and finds the young ape endearing in her inquisitive nature. Though he does try and steer her away from straying into what most would call blasphemous. All for her safety.
Lord Zarri — Father of Zuek and a high society simian. Family wealth obtained from the manufacturing of gunpowder and related weaponry. Biggest and only maker of it in all of Sia. A development some few thousand years ago that’s placed ape above all the animal kingdom. He’s a very old school ape. As such, Zuek involuntarily gets on his nerves for her thinkings and views. One being the belief that beyond the horizons that surround their home of the apes is undiscovered ones. Ones where ape has not set foot… yet. All a load of nonsense he, not simply just believes, he is absolutely sure of. Wants his daughter to think more realistic. Even start focus on finding a partner.
Swiss’U — A friend of Zuek. Unlike her, Swiss’U is a produce seller. Works at the family farm. Doesn’t much understand the lot of Zuek’s line of education or even her thinkings, but he finds her company enjoyable and nice, nonetheless. He’s there for Zuek to talk with and even get involved with her antics.
Koel — Koel is the head of the household security for many a-year. Very distant and brooding. Not much of a conversationalist. Zuek has always been curious on the origins of his lip scar. Has thought up many theories over the years growing up as the gorilla has yet to give an answer, nor any of the other security members under his command
.…
Pu’Pue — The land of the ape lacks the canine niche and has it filled by the crocodilians. This herbivore/frugivore is kept as a domesticated pet for the apes. Easily trainable. The Sumosuchis are a relic of the bygone times before primates.
Drakki — While not as ancient of a relic, the Barinasuchus dubbed as Drakki by the apes, are seen the same way humans viewed wolves for eons. Regions of the land are avoided as being claimed by the ‘ape killers’. Though many do stray into ape territory. Often to make a snack of a lone ape or gamble snatching from a crowd. However, the ape are not inherently helpless as the reptile are hunted for seasonal sport.
Tumblr media
- Mun “King” (Bonobo): Are a wannabe king pin. A lowly thug and crook who think themselves as classy and hot shit. Has a golden lower canine. Sells 2nd hand weaponry on the black market. The apes that rather not deal with the legalities go to him.
- Frizz: Punk gorilla that Mun "King" has by his side as muscle and intimidation. Adorns themselves in the recent youth fashion trend of facial piercings and dye.
- Random chimp woman.
Ape Continent unique animals (more or less).
- Rashkki (Rhinodile): A crocodile that follows the mating ritual of the horned beetles with jousting their nasal horns. The largest of the crocodile species on the Ape Continent at 24 ft in length.
- Twukki (Billed-Crocodile): While dwarfed by the Ape Killer, Drakki, but exceeding the Pu'Pue size. This opportunist omnivore pries and digs for it's foods in both trees and dirt. Roots, grubs, berries, anything. Menace for ape burial grounds in the past with stories of dug up graves and missing bodies.
- Abaa (Dwarf Hornbill): A strikingly colorful bird that enuts a call in the mating season to which it's name is derived from.
- Iwiiz (Cobra): A handful of the modern animals that made it to their land with little change. Named so for their hissing noise.
Tumblr media
How a Bigfoot type sighting of a, maybe long marooned, Homo Sapiens might be recounted in a eyewitness drawing by an ape who merely glanced at the oddity in the evening hours.
Tumblr media
The civilization of the apes are akin to the Egyptians with some European type structures. With some flares of 1700s to early 20th century isms of culture and tech.
- Atlos City is the Capitol of the simian civilization. A wall surrounds the city as to keep out unwanted wildlife and to manage who's in the city or not.
- Lord Zarri Estate: Near the city lives the powerful gun manufacturing head. An extravagant and intentionally church-like structure for their household.
- The Lower and Middle Class house styles.
- The average ape (orangutan specifically)
- Nuc'cto (Dwarf Elephant): Are descended from the African Elephant. The alternatives to horses and labour animals for the apes.
Tumblr media
The spinodile, or The Renakki, the largest of the crocodile species on the continent and appearance alike to the extinct spinosaurus aegyptiacus. This beast is rightfully feared and overall steered cleared of as it rules over the rivers. Temperament is akin to the hippo and fiercely territorial.

A religious gibbon. The individual here being the Lars Gibbon; one of the seven civilized primate species of the land.

First contact... with the strange ape of the world beyond.

Scene premise for Lost Continent with the human, Pandora, and Lord Zarri. Zarri wants to sway the human with bribery. Their land is rich with Imperial Jade (those chairs are primarily made of it) and are an status symbol, decorative uses and used for their religious sign. Based on statements from the human, it's worth is greater in the human world (exceeding that of gold and diamonds btw). In exchange for two lifetimes worth of riches, Zarri wants Pandora to tell of her "true origins" and deny the claims of Zuek and others of similar thinkings and confirm the correct beliefs. Once done, leave their land and never return nor tell others of her kind of their land. As the alternative, Zarri says, would be to simply shoot her dead and dump her carcass in the ocean and have the simian kind forget of her existence that way. However, Zarri is as much a business man as he is a religious one.
Something along those lines anyways.
Tumblr media
- Zokkon Lann: Big Game Hunter and Jungle/Safari Guide for rich blokes that want to shoot animals for their trophy rooms.
- An assortment of the types of firearms made by the simians. All for different occasions and purposes. From simple handheld to double barrel for hunting.
Tumblr media
A call for Mun "King"... most definitely from Lord Zarri.
His chair is reflective of his character; trying to pass off as higher quality than it really is. His slouching, picking food from his teeth, and lazy posture too.
Tumblr media
An assortment of primate civilians and a court judge.

A surviving piece of cargo from the outside human world: a still in testing electric powered hover car, about three and a half feet above the ground. The purpose of it is meant to be endure rough terrain by simply avoiding it by floating above. Had been found on a hunting excavation and when brought back to Atlos, was quickly bought to be displayed in "Mad Dawrin's Home of Oddities". A museum where a blend of legit strange items most likely washed ashore from the human world beyond, and legit fabrications whipped up by the owner. An ensuing chase ensures a memorable first impression of the vehicle in action.
Tumblr media
Mun "King" and Frizz following Zuek and Pandora the human, but unknowingly missed them having went down the wrong track. A bit of a showcase of their demeanors and personalities (primarily Mun King's with Wolf's)
Scene from Hoodwinked in question:

More wildlife of Lost Continent, including diprotodon and megalania. Along with their hunting for sport habits, specifically with crocs. Along with a bit of revision of their domesticated elephant (Nuc'cto) they use is place of horses.

Bestial Human Monkey
Hand drawn Ink art by William McAusland, writing by Colin Chapman
Monkey-men are crafty, mischievous omnivores, though they prefer vegetables to meat. They can make a bite attack with their sharp teeth (SV +5/ DMG 1d8) and can be quite vicious. They are covered in a soft, coat of often multi-colored fur and can endure cold weather much better than humans, even without clothing, but prefer warmer climes.
These simians are excellent climbers (add 1d3+2 skill points in climbing), and can climb as swiftly as they can run. They possess long prehensile tails capable of gripping onto things or holding small items such as daggers and knives, and are highly alert (+1 initiative). With their bite, one fist (1d6 DMG) or hand held weapon, and whatever they carry in their tails, they are capable of three melee attacks per round.
Bestial human monkeys have little difficulty being accepted into human communities if accompanied by humans or mutant humans, and will be viewed as amusing pets with people laughing at their antics and comical faces. Of course, it only takes a prank too far for things to turn ugly.

Sun Lu’s Kraken
Ocean salt infested the air. They have been out at sea for weeks now. Sun can't remember what they were searching for so fervently. His current Captain barked orders across the deck. The graining pitch of his voice was swallowed by the waves. Sun turned its small frame from its work and gazed at the dark horizon. The day was bright but he knew that would change with the mast aimed directly at the deep purple clouds cutting into the vibrant blue. The light's heat beamed down on everyone, the humidity clinging to skin and fur. A peculiar scent was on the wind. It tiptoed its way around Sun’s olfactory perception. A pit dove deep into the little monkey’s stomach. His instincts told him this storm was going to be bad. Worse than the last one his Captain drove into. Whatever he was looking for required very specific and curiously ridiculous circumstances he couldn’t bother to remember. Every voyage was more dangerous than the last. He must not show fear. No matter how bad it got. This ship's Captain was not kind to those who showed even a second of vulnerability but those clouds felt ugly and wretched. They felt worthy of someone so small’s fear.
Something felt different about this storm but he couldn't lay his paw on why that was. The gulls that normally use the ship as a perch were nowhere to be found. Nowhere to be heard. It was an eerie sound. The primate was startled from his thoughts by the sound of a shrill shriek as the Captain threw a crewmate overboard laughing so loudly the harsh sea drowned in its echo.
“LET THIS BE A LESSON MEN. NO STORM CAN TOPPLE MY SHIP and anyone who thinks differently CAN TAKE IT UP WITH THE WATERS BELOW!” The Captain's voice bellowed as he turned on his heel to return to his quarters.
“AYE AYE SIR,” the crew responded in a chorus of cacophony. Sun took this warning for what it was. A threat if Sun defied his authority. He crawled up the ropes to the crows nest where he had his little hideout and hammock. He chittered to himself and cooed as he snuggled into his bedding. He decided to rest while he could. This storm was going to need all he had. He drifted off to the subtle sound of thunder in the distance.
Sun woke with the loudest crack of lightning he ever had heard. His beady eyes shot open filled with panic. He tried to blink rain from his sight the best he could. The storm was here, there was no turning back. Other sapiens of all sizes scattered across the deck yelling to each other, secured ropes and tied down equipment. Many voices carried up to his crows nest but the Captain’s tone stood above it all like the lightning against the pounding rain. The sky had gone from a beautiful blue to a color he had never seen the sky reflect before. A horrid green conquered the blue and Sun thought he would never see the light of day again.
He hurried into action to help the crew. The cackle of his Captain did not reassure Sun as he moved swiftly, without thought. Move the equipment below deck, tie down the sails so they don’t tear, secure life ropes, keep going, keep moving, don't think, not even for a moment. Sun knew if he stopped he would break down. Not like he could've heard any thoughts over the terrible rain. It felt more like ice bullets soaking into his fur leaving his skin raw, red and bruised. He couldn't let the horror seep into his soul, he could NOT falter. He must keep moving.
Sun didn't even notice when his crewmates were washed overboard by the flood walls spilling over the deck. He didn't even recognize the steep walls of water that began to morph into a cage of tentacles rising up from below the depths. Sun needed to keep being useful so desperately that when his ships Captain screamed out only to be choked out by the writhing limbs. He did not stop. Sun scampered and climbed, he swung from rope to rope, doing what he could to keep things stable. When he finally heard nothing but roaring and storming but no Captain’s orders or maniacal laughter. The crunching of wood and ripping of sails cut through all other noise and shook him from his pattern. He whipped his small frame to see the wheel rolling back and forth with no one at its wake. His heart and hope fell overboard. The horror consumed him as he realized none of his crew was around him. He was alone. The masses of simians had been replaced with slimy thrashing tentacles riddled in teeth and suckers.
Frozen in fear, his small monkey body clung to the nets that were tied weakly to the middle pillar of the boat. He tried to tear his eyes away but he could not close them as one extremely massive optic focused on his tiny insignificant vessel. Its one eye was ten times bigger than the biggest giant. The imperfect odd shaped iris was trained on him. Sun caught a glimpse of the Captain’s mangled bloody corpse in the creatures gaping maw amongst his dead dismembered crew. Puke green sea churned into a more disgusting brown, the iron of blood invading his nose to join the peculiar smell he had sniffed earlier.
What was he looking at? What was this thing? It was too big. Way too big to be any fish he had seen, way too big to be a whale or a shark. It was going to swallow him, he thought. His heart pounding in his ears more blaring than the storm, more reverberant than the cracking mast and more ear-piercing than the enormous noise coming from that thing. He didn't think the word ‘mouth’ did justice for the eternal darkness that was widening around what was left of the boat. This creature was celestial, it was divine, it had to be there wasn't any other explanation. Sun had not known what the word God meant until this moment. He did not know true despair until this moment. Until he was staring into despair-incarnate’s ugly, writhing face. It's disgustingly knotted slimy flesh wrapped around each pillar dragging it down. This creature didn't make sense. It opened up like a black hole drinking up tons of water and splintered mast. This was it. He couldn't watch his own death after witnessing the deaths of his friends. He squeezed his gawking face shut while still grasping what he thought was rope and curled into the smallest ball he could. He imagined his crew's faces, his friends laughing and singing together only hours before. Only for the image to be ruined by the image of their mangled empty anatomy and their fear filled voices screaming for help. They were gone and he was not far behind. Behind the imagined voices was a quiet, unintelligible whisper. Was it the beast? Then silence as Sun lost consciousness and fell into a dreamless sleep.
Sun did not wake immediately but he felt warm sand underneath him. It was soft and peaceful. For a moment he enjoyed the sensation. The sound of gulls far off echoed low and soft. Flashes of tentacles, teeth and one distinctly huge eye split through his peace, jolting him into the waking world. Fear escaped his throat with the most genuine fearful squeak he could muster. Eyes darted across the powdery, yellow sand and the gurgling waves as he clambered away disturbing smooth beach.
What happened? Where am I?
He then realized he was death gripping something squishy, wet and moving. He uncurled his terror filled grip to reveal the tip of a fat squirming sucker covered tentacle. He practically threw it with wide eyes as if trying to reject his memories.
That thing. It was real. He was alive. It didn't kill him. It… It spared his life.
The image of that massive eye would never leave him and it would forever change his life.
(notes: I dont usually post my writing but i'm so very happy with this and how it came out. this is my background story of my Seraph Seaborne Simian called Sun Lu from Daggerheart. and believe it or not that alliteration was all accidental. i absolutely recommend Daggerheart. combat has never been more fun for me in a table top RPG)

Anthony Higgs, Mauk, and Kreatz
Tumblr media
Fun fact! In the Zero Mission manga, Samus has two Federation comrades named Mauk and Kreatz, a Simian and Elfin respectively! They’re ride or die teammates, going along when Samus jeopardizes what is supposed to be a purely reconnaissance mission to instead save the inhabitants of Jigrad from Space Pirates. Later, when Samus defies orders to go to Zebes and rescue her home from the Space Pirates (she fails), Mauk and Kreatz also defy orders to accompany Samus, and later escape with her.
What’s interesting is that according a captured Space Pirate from Jigrad, Kreatz’s Elfin species is looked down upon by the Federation, as they’re blamed for the ‘Species War’ (whatever that is). Likewise, the Simians are seen as so primitive that they weren’t even considered for Federation membership until the Chozo pushed for them to be recognized.
That last bit intrigues me because it definitely gives new meaning to Mauk’s dynamic with Samus, who is half-Chozo; Did he ever find admiration for Samus’ heritage, ask about the Chozo? Express appreciation, and mourn when they were driven from the galaxy by Mother Brain’s betrayal? Did he empathize with Samus’ own grief to some level, being supportive that way?
I dig these characters, and they’re surprisingly slept upon! They’re Anthony Higgs before Anthony Higgs, and given how much the fandom (rightfully) loves him, I’d like to see more of Samus’ other friends from the Federation.
Speaking of Higgs: From what I can tell, I think “Remember me?” is partly so memed upon because it’s that same gag of Remember that Guy, where we’re introduced to a character for the first time as someone who the MC or someone else has apparently always known and they’ve always been there. And it made me think of how the line could’ve been so much more impactful had it been Mauk or Kreatz who said it, returning years after the manga was published.
And it made me think; For a Metroid show, why not consolidate the elements of Mauk and Kreatz, as well as Anthony, as friends from Samus’ time in the Federation? Specifically, by making Anthony part of that same squad; We know him and Samus fought together in the same unit, so instead of Samus having two separate teams, let’s just do the one. Seeing Anthony in S1, before finally returning nine seasons later, would be great.
Likewise, I want to explore the concept of Samus’ old squad because in the source material, it’s comprised of non-humans who fight in a distinctly non-Federation way, save Samus; But even her power suit is non-conventional. We have Kreatz’s energy whips, as well as Mauk’s brute force blows and punches. There’s definitely this implication of them as a special unit of non-humans.
Additionally, I want to radical redesigns; I love how the manga gave us Federation aliens that could be good or bad! I just wish a character like Kreatz was more alien, because as his own species name shows, he’s basically just an elf; A human with pointy ears. Similarly, I do want to give Mauk a radical redesign for the same reasons, though he’s more forgivable. I also want to incorporate this idea I’ve had for Metroid worldbuilding about species who don’t fit within the same frame as others, and struggle for it.
So Kreatz is now this plant alien; Resembling Plant 43 from Resident Evil 2, the original version, with a three-petal mouth, vines for arms and leaves at the ends as fingers, and gnarled trunks for legs. He can lurch back to then hurl forward a glob of acid. In homage to how his pointy ears were the only distinguishing aspect of him, Kreatz has two leaves on his head, one on either side, acting like ears that can go up or down to emote.
The Elfin are a race of sapient plants; They can spew acid and have flexible vine arms. This has rendered them to a special fighting style centered around energy whips they can flail around their bodies with perfect control, with their whirling whips acting as both offense and defense for them, slashing apart enemy and enemy fire. Should an enemy get close enough, they get acid in their face.
Being plant-based organisms, the Elfin don’t speak with sound; They rely on pheromones. With most species relying on sound, this creates a huge communication barrier, with the Elfin being expected to put in the work to bridge it. Hence, many Elfin have devices attached that can translate the pheromones they emit into words; Similarly, these devices can interpret words and translate them into corresponding pheromones. It’s not perfect but it works.
The reason Kreatz’s name is so human is because his true name cannot be translated into letters, due to being pheromones; So it’s like how some PoC have an ‘English’ name to get by. For Kreatz, he’s in the Federation military, as part of the army; The army is comprised mostly of humans, so he uses a human name to appeal. The same applies for Mauk.
Mauk is also of an ‘unconventional’ species, deemed ‘abstract’ by the majority. She (gender change because we need more women) is a clam-like creature; She comprises of an armored shell on top that is impervious to damage. Beneath that shell are folds of muscles that can crush any prey beneath her, to then devour and digest. It can be a bit sobering to see Mauk drag a Space Pirate beneath her shell as they scream in agony, their legs obliterated, before she finishes them off by crunching their lower half; This method avoids exposing Mauk’s vulnerable underside to any weaponry, wielded by the arms.
To move, Mauk has four soft yet muscular limbs, short and stumpy, arranged around her body; They fold underneath her shell. She can use these arms to prop herself up, or drag prey beneath her. Mauk uses these limbs to handle technology, and each is equipped with a device that translates her thoughts into words; She can hear sound just fine. Otherwise, Mauk’s species communicates by tapping rhythmically.
The Federation has always employed esoteric species; So it makes sense for them to have special units for the purpose of utilizing the unique talents, methods, and capabilities of other races. Especially the stronger ones, some of whom could qualify as bosses in the games in another context… Samus is a part of this unit, as she is a hybrid, half-Chozo, half-human, and uses a unique Chozo power suit. Samus finds a lot of camaraderie with Mauk and Kreatz for not fitting within the typical military mold.
So how does Anthony Higgs factor into this? I don’t want him to be their human commanding officer, because I feel that does take away a bit of the camaraderie that would otherwise come from them all being in the same trenches together, so to speak. I did consider Anthony being the same rank and lacking authority, only there to remind the others of standard Federation protocol. I didn’t want to make Anthony an alien because it felt like whitewashing to me; Not the same exactly, but the same in effect of erasing characters of color.
But I’ve considered another idea; He IS essentially human, like Samus, while also being an esoteric species; But not in the way Samus is. Anthony isn’t a hybrid. Instead, he’s a host, to his wife. His wife is of a sapient parasite species, one that bonds with a host when they become old enough; To them, it’s marriage, and the host has to be consenting. Ordinarily thìs species evolved with another sapient one, or maybe they relied entirely on animals before making contact with other planets.
Regardless, in the present day they all need a host upon adulthood; Or are expected to. Some don’t fit that mold, amongst a species that already doesn’t fit the mold of the Federation or Space Pirates or other groups. But in the case of Mrs. Higgs, she was happy to meet Anthony and bond with him for life. She lives inside of his body, enhancing it and maybe emerging to attack and defend. Only Anthony can hear and understand her; The two mutually agreed to serve the Federation. People address Anthony, and sometimes allude to his wife, who like most of her kind prefers to remain private. It’s a truly mutual relationship where they both make decisions together in the heat of the moment.
So technically, Mrs. Higgs is the ‘esoteric’ one within this unit, and Anthony is just along for the ride, or IS the ride. Regardless, he’s another unusual case, which adds to the sisterhood he experiences with Samus, Mauk, and Kreatz; A clam, a parasite, a plant, and an android. Samus isn’t an android, but many mistake her for one due to her constantly being clad in armor; It’s a callback to the NES manual speculating her as such, and how the name Metroid was originally assigned to Samus (combining Metro and Android), which makes the jokes of “Why can’t Metroid crawl” even more understandable.
With the exception of Anthony, the others didn’t really go through Federation boot camp, not the typical kind at least; Given how the Federation has already employed and worked with other species before, they were essentially loaned/recommended soldiers from their own worlds. The Federation accepted, and after a proper training period where they were taught Federation protocol and familiarized to its environments, Samus and the others were assigned to one another. This special forces unit answers to Chief Hardy, and are assigned to do recon on Jigrad.
We’re first introduced to the squad via Mauk and Kreatz; A Space Pirate patrol stops so one can relieve themselves upon on a small tree, singling it out by reasoning that “Plants actually appreciate what I have to offer, unlike some regular rock.” Speaking of rocks, another notices a strange one and realizes it’s not a rock at all; It’s Mauk, who goes still, withdrawn in her shell to avoid attention, trying to blend in. Due to not being intimately familiar with Jigrad’s ecosystem and possessing biases, the Space Pirates assume this faceless creature as just one of the local fauna. One tries to shoot Mauk for fun but is disappointed when she’s unharmed; The Space Pirate is mocked and they all leave with the other one’s business finished.
That’s when tree in this scene moves out of their posture, facing Mauk; This a sapient individual named Kreatz, also unrecognized by the ignorant Space Pirates. He apologizes to Mauk for having to go through that; He speaks by grabbing a stone to use the rhythmic taps of Mauk’s species, a language the Elfin can learn to accommodate without relying on technology. Mauk reassures Kreatz that it’s all right, and anyhow he’s the one she feels sorry for. Kreatz admits it’s actually quite all right; That Space Pirate was correct, that WAS refreshing for him, and the most those pricks have ever contributed for the Elfin!
The two return to where Samus and Anthony are hiding; Samus has also mastered the rhythmic language, but Anthony struggles and laments this. Kreatz uses his device to speak, reassuring Anthony that it’s all right; He still struggles sometimes himself. The group alludes to “Mrs. Higgs,” whom Anthony reassures them on, while reiterating she prefers to be private to assuage any concerns.
The story goes about as you expect, just with Anthony (and technically Mrs. Higgs) present as well. Anthony appears to be a regular Federation soldier and that’s how the Space Pirates underestimate him, just thrown in so the others can be reminded of the Federation’s authority, until Anthony shows off what him and Mrs. Higgs can do together. Samus is the only one not underestimated, something that precedes the intimidating reputation she earns amongst her enemies.
Anthony, Mauk, and Kreatz are all ride or die friends who remain in the Federation when Samus leaves. When the Metroid crisis begins, we get a scene showing what they’ve been up to, and how they attempt to survive this new threat. It’s sobering when an indestructible shield such as Mauk, who often props herself up to protect others, is told to retreat because it doesn’t matter how impervious she is; If a Metroid latches on, she’ll be drained and killed like any other victim. It’s a testament to how Metroid is unlike anything anyone has ever faced, and a true threat.
Like in the manga, we get a scene of the trio fighting back against the Space Pirates on Mauk’s homeworld of Jamoru; After Samus completes her Zero Mission, there’s an aftermath episode acting as the season finale where we check up on her old comrades, who help turn the tides against the Space Pirates. They hear the rumors of a bounty hunter named Samus Aran single-handedly defeating Mother Brain, and express admiration, having always believed in her.
Cue all three disappearing for basically the whole show, until nine seasons later, when one of them returns on the BOTTLE ship, working as part of a new special forces unit… More on that later. Anthony asks Samus, “Remember me?” And this time the viewer actually does, with the same elation and disbelief as Samus.
