my editing software's updated since I last used it for the Tom video so there've been a whole bunch of subtle changes I've had to contend with while working on this one and it's like coming home to all the furniture slightly to the left. no Huge changes but enough that it's Noticeable
#the most obnoxious was the solid twenty minutes at the very start when I thought the typing tool was Gone#it was not gone it was just. not visible in the panel anymore and I couldn't scroll to it I had to manually expand the panel to find it#deeply annoying change but i learned the shortcut for that tool so it's fine#but i was Very Afraid it was gone forever for legitimately twenty minutes#i'm not smart#cj says stuff

It's funny when people get really really mad when you don't view slugcats as almost-people or super intelligent when almost all evidence for that kinda interpretation comes from MSC, a fan-made and non-canon extension of Rainworld people are completely free to either build off of or disregard. Like it or not MSC handles slugcats very differently from base game and people can like MSC and dislike that vibe at the same time
#like i like msc but one of my criticism is that the animal protags feel significantly less like creatures#and thats both in feeling more like little special protags and also the way slugcats are as a whole are handled#because an animal that doesn't outwardly express huge tells of human like intelligence but still shows evidence of being smart like trading#with the scavengers for tools etc etc is fun and cool#i also find it interesting the way that#people interpet spearmaster learning some sign to communicate with suns as like them being fully fluent in ASL and not like#them potentially having a few tells theyve agreed to mean certain things#like you can train a dog to ask to go outside its not particularly complicated to learn bodylanguage#especially considering spearmaster is lab grown and likely doesnt know how to communicate with other slugcats

People have been doing that to me since I was a child. Adults did that to me when I was a child.
The sad part is that I don't consider myself to be of exceptional intelligence. I might be very slightly above the mean, I suppose? I know what actual intelligence looks like, and the people I consider to be exceptionally intelligent are like... particle physicists and rocket scientists.
If someone is made to feel insecure by ME of all people? Bit sad. I don't even work at CERN, bro. I'm not that clever. If I'm your idea of a smart person, that tells me how many actual smart people you have encountered (few).
