hi! do we know where Nyuudou, Utagawa and Mujina are from? years ago we got a map that said where each character is from, though Tanaka sensei removed some characters for spoilers (Utagawa, sano, Nyuudou, Mujina/Odawara accidentally) (Sano i am assuming is from Takamagahara) i translated it myself and i skimmed through the story to find where Odawara lives (Miyagi), but i've got no clue on Nyuudou, Utagawa or Mujina, and Fuji is confusing, too �� this is the map by the way! Right so here's the map with the translated names + the other 2 we know (Sano from Izumo and Odawara from Miyagi) (Odawara probably wasnt purposely censored she just forgor)

So our first mystery: Where is Nyuudou from?

He definitely currently lives in Tokyo given the prominent featuring of the tokyo tower in renren arc, but he went to the same grade school as Mame (& Gida, Renjou, Marilyn)?

As you can see from the yoseito culture fes extra chapter, chugoku and shikoku get lumped into the same grade school, and Mame says as much.

Well. pretty obvious now that i've put all the relevant info together. Renren was originally from chugoku/shikoku, which was where his mom was in the hospital, and probably also where Utagawa is from. And then after Renka's death the Nyuudous moved to Tokyo, probably some combination of moving on from the grief and to better facilitate youkai ministry stuff

Which would make Kurai saying "unlikely we'll be back here again" make more sense, since its not just that their reason for coming was gone, they're also moving halfway across the country

(also i was looking at the official yoseito tl at first but i thought it was missing a bit of nuance so i double checked the jp, and it was

first of all it does not say "same class" at any point, only "same grade school/elementary school", and also i feel like the official tl is missing some nuance of "we were in the same school, and then either he or i stopped being at the school" that was coming through in the jp

and also knowing the info i do now, i lost a bit of nuance in the left panel too: more literally, it uses 今も昔も "doesn't matter now or back then", which sort of implies a separation of those 2 periods of time, a gap of "knowing nyuudou", compared to "always been/had". in most cases, "now + back then" can be safely combined into "always", but now the gap between the two has meaning, you get me?)

So finally. Where is Mujina from

The only clue is that sensei "accidentally erased him too while erasing another name(s)", which would put him at around chugoku/shikoku!

(Renren and Utagawa are probably from the same area, and if they're not from chugoku then theyre from shikoku, in which case mujina is likely to also be from shikoku, bc sensei is probably more likely to accidentally erase a 3rd name if shes erasing 2, then erasing a 2nd name if shes only erasing one. but most likely of all is accidentally erasing a 4th name when she only meant to erase 3)

Hey is there any way to do a sympathetic or even good-aligned Orange Lantern? We’ve had sympathetic/good red lanterns, yellow lanterns, star sapphires…I feel like orange is next, but how can avarice/greed be good? Maybe a character with a god complex is so bad it wraps back around from being a flaw to a virtue—like, maybe they’re so greedy that they think of the entire universe as being part of their possession, so anything that threatens the universe is something they would fight against. Like the same kind of vibe as a dragon that thinks of an entire village as their hoard, so they protect the village. Or maybe their greed manifests itself as greed for knowledge or greed for worship or greed for friends/allies (as, perhaps, types of “power”), so even if they’re not like fully heroic necessarily, they can still be complex and complicated and can play off of the other Lantern Corps in interesting ways.

i've been replaying the demo with each season as a memory refresher before the spring semester extended demo release this week and i've been STRUGGLINGGG to get the spring personality no matter what i do. so now i am here to ask if there's like a specific vibe to go for with answering the questions to get the spring personality? it's always taken me way too many attempts to get the right one,,,am i just cursed

But the general vibe for a spring is… lighthearted consideration. Like the choices you should be picking need to be go-with-the-flowy but with the weight of someone who is still considering every option. It’s a bit contradicting, but Spring is like that in a way because some days are cold and some days are just right.

if we assume that each of the three pillars comes exactly three times for a total of nine times, and we know that the 7th time it was the 40-year guardian, and if we assume that was her final visit and the last two visits will be split between the 30-year guardian and the 8-year guardian, we can calculate how long ago the miharu family made that deal: (40x3)+(30x2)+(8x2)=196 years. 196 years ago it was 1828, but i think this is supposed to be set in the 1980s or 90s, so call it the late 1700s. that's the kind of thing matoba as the head of the matoba clan has to concern himself with - deals with youkai made by people 200 years ago from families that don't even exist anymore. it's an interesting contrast to the thing he says to natsume at the end of this arc, about the 9th visit, which is 30 years away, being someone else's problem. he's embroiled in the past but doesn't even think he'll get to have a future.

one thing that i’m always just begging for is one of the OG Dads (granddads) to look at one of the grandkids and just go “Oh you must be Henry’s/Darryl’s/Ron’s/Glenn’s grandkid” OR JUST AS IMPORTANTLY “oh you must be Sparrow/Lark’s/Terry’s/Grant’s/Nick’s kid”. The Flashback shows us Chosen and Dark being destructive across the web, but it doesn’t really give any indication of why they did this. This leaves us to come up with probable reasons that might fit. It also leaves us to come up with probable reasons why Chosen changed his tune before Dark.

And there are a lot of those XD but while so many of us talk about why Chosen stopped, and what might’ve changed to motivate his shift, I haven’t seen as many suggesting that…maybe, from the start, they were being destructive for different reasons.

Deltarune chapter 4 spoilers

Before ANYONE tries to say it, no, the person Kris was talking to on the phone isn't Gaster, and I am 100% certain of this. I haven't found all the secrets yet, (in fact I was mostly just trying to get the 'normal' playthrough done, borderline going out of my way to avoid secrets) but I've noticed some people haven't realized yet one of Toby's holdovers from homestuck is the importance of typefaces in dialouge. Characters rarely deviate from certain cadences. For example, Sans and Papyrus obviously speak in fonts, but papyrus always talks in all caps, while sans 'never' uses uppercase. We may never have been explicitly told any of the dialouge is Gasters, but we have a pretty good idea of what his dialouge sounds like (outside of Wingdings)

So no, I'm 100 percent certain the person on the phone isn't Gaster. My guess? Either Asgore or Carol. Carols dialouge sounds the most like the phone dialouge. Though Asgore is connected to all the symbols (goes to church every night, living off the mayors dime, and was the previous police chief.) and he has his backroom with the corkboard.

Again, I've only done the main route so far, thus only scratched the surface of new info (haven't even done the weird route yet, though I found the area) but I'm certain Asgore has more to do with this than he's letting on. My pet theory is that Dess isn't missing, but passed away, and the Mayor is trying to find a way to bring her back via dark world with Kris and Asgore's help.

(Off topic but Chapter 4 with Gerson honestly really affected me, I dont know why. I had already figured out he was dead before you even leave the first dark world, so i just kept saying to myself 'Susie,,, He's gone,,, we need to go...' and almost cried when the leitmotif of 'battle against a true hero' started playing during the final fight. And side note if you check kris's phone when you get back in their body, they wiped the messages and call history. I found that completely on accident.)

Lotta feelings right now. Im sure I'll have more later. But theory crafting for this game is a team effort and we all gotta pitch in. I can't decompile the game, but I can remember useless info.

TL;DR Kris's phone call was not with Gaster, and I think Asgore has more to do with this than he's letting on. Kris continues to be a complex character.

So I’m definitely not the first person to have realized this, but while I was looking through some assets I stumbled across the tomb stone sprite sheet and realized the text was in a funky script, and realized it’s the same script that’s used on a handful of duplicant made buildings such as the super computer, and hastily scribbled down the cipher to the best of my abilities since I couldn’t find an actual font or sprite sheet for it in game

I probably got some things a bit wrong since the text is so small, but I thought I’d share in case anyone else found this interesting 👍
