well, after scouring for around 4 hours, I found the updated release of dramatical murder and the uncensored patch too (I think? lol, haven't confirmed that yet bc I haven't gotten that far). anyways, I'm taking screenshots for reasons I guess lmao
two of them (my babs and my love) are from when I originally played dmmd in like 2013/2014 or whatever, but the others are new ones that I am adding to the collection. why? because it's my 2013 craptop and so I get the say on what clutters up my hard drive
#i have a solid state drive. if it even matters. lmfao.#dramatical murder#dmmd#ren voice: aoba :P#okay i'm shit posting in the tags SORRY#davekitties rambles

I'm really into the fanon Vs comic reader poll but putting aside the current results. I'm so perplexed by the amount of people using '.... But comics are expensive' as an excuse. Do they not know about the massive free online archives? There are thousands of comics you can only read because they're in there
It gets sort of hairy with this one because accessibility is a genuine wall for some people, and that wall sometimes really rooted in being illiterate with technology.
Comic hosting sites like [redacted] are generally unusable without an ad-blocker and there is population of people that simply don't know how to implement one - either on a computer, laptop, tablet or a phone. They just don't know how.
Some people genuinely cannot get these ad-blockers on their device because it might be school equipment or are their parents/partners or even an abusers and as such even if they wanted to put one on, they can't.
Some people cannot READ comics on a small screen like a phone, but they do not have any other device for which to read comics - this is one of the bigger prevailing things stopping a lot of people from seeking comic archives out. They cannot access the site on their phone easily either without said ad-blocker which these two in combination just makes it too complicated.
Yes, some people might not even be AWARE of comic sites at all and just feel uncomfortable using them when they find out.
Not knowing what resources are out there and how to get them is a real issue that a lot of people struggle with and it is only getting worse as tech literacy and internet navigation skills dwindle.
If you are reading this now - I really do implore you to get more familiar with using the internet - not apps, and learn how to use a computer if you only ever used tablets and phones growing up.
If I have to teach someone who is only 5 years younger than me how to make a new folder on the computer and how to rename a file, I am going to lose my mind. Some of you guys are at the same level that 70 year olds were back when I was in highschool and we ran a free computer class to teach them computer basics, and it's not your fault.
#comics#not even sure how to tag#and please quit putting your files on discord#that is not a safe place#niether is google or cloud storage#get a solid state drive/thumb drive to put your stuff on

KIOXIA Unveils 122.88TB LC9 Series NVMe SSD to Power Next-Gen AI Workloads

KIOXIA America, Inc. has announced the upcoming debut of its LC9 Series SSD, a new high-capacity enterprise solid-state drive (SSD) with 122.88 terabytes (TB) of storage, purpose-built for advanced AI applications. Featuring the company’s latest BiCS FLASH™ generation 8 3D QLC (quad-level cell) memory and a fast PCIe® 5.0 interface, this cutting-edge drive is designed to meet the exploding data demands of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
As enterprises scale up AI workloads—including training large language models (LLMs), handling massive datasets, and supporting vector database queries—the need for efficient, high-density storage becomes paramount. The LC9 SSD addresses these needs with a compact 2.5-inch form factor and dual-port capability, providing both high capacity and fault tolerance in mission-critical environments.
Form factor refers to the physical size and shape of the drive—in this case, 2.5 inches, which is standard for enterprise server deployments. PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) is the fast data connection standard used to link components to a system’s motherboard. NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is the protocol used by modern SSDs to communicate quickly and efficiently over PCIe interfaces.
Accelerating AI with Storage Innovation
The LC9 Series SSD is designed with AI-specific use cases in mind—particularly generative AI, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and vector database applications. Its high capacity enables data-intensive training and inference processes to operate without the bottlenecks of traditional storage.
It also complements KIOXIA’s AiSAQ™ technology, which improves RAG performance by storing vector elements on SSDs instead of relying solely on costly and limited DRAM. This shift enables greater scalability and lowers power consumption per TB at both the system and rack levels.
“AI workloads are pushing the boundaries of data storage,” said Neville Ichhaporia, Senior Vice President at KIOXIA America. “The new LC9 NVMe SSD can accelerate model training, inference, and RAG at scale.”
Industry Insight and Lifecycle Considerations
Gregory Wong, principal analyst at Forward Insights, commented:
“Advanced storage solutions such as KIOXIA’s LC9 Series SSD will be critical in supporting the growing computational needs of AI models, enabling greater efficiency and innovation.”
As organizations look to adopt next-generation SSDs like the LC9, many are also taking steps to responsibly manage legacy infrastructure. This includes efforts to sell SSD units from previous deployments—a common practice in enterprise IT to recover value, reduce e-waste, and meet sustainability goals. Secondary markets for enterprise SSDs remain active, especially with the ongoing demand for storage in distributed and hybrid cloud systems.
LC9 Series Key Features
122.88 TB capacity in a compact 2.5-inch form factor
PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0 support for high-speed data access
Dual-port support for redundancy and multi-host connectivity
Built with 2 Tb QLC BiCS FLASH™ memory and CBA (CMOS Bonded to Array) technology
Endurance rating of 0.3 DWPD (Drive Writes Per Day) for enterprise workloads
The KIOXIA LC9 Series SSD will be showcased at an upcoming technology conference, where the company is expected to demonstrate its potential role in powering the next generation of AI-driven innovation.

if i ever DO decide to move to the midwest, or just generally the US east, which is where the midwest is, ive got to start an influencer-style shortform video series where i try out non-Californian things for the first time from an extremely Californian-perspective
#i was talking with my mom the other day about moving considerations and she was like#'oh if you DO end up going to wisconsin you could go to culvers!'#and i was like 'oh ive heard of this place! from podcast people! what is it?'#and evidently its just like some fast casual seated dining place but#while discussing it we both at the same time remembered cheese curds exist.#we were both like oh yeah.... huh.#anyway im not doing to do this#but imagine me filming myself in whatever generic chain restaurant that exists in only the eastern half of the US#imagine a thirty-second time-lapse video where i record the one-day road trip where i cross several state lines and pass through multiple#major US cities#a thing which is impossible in california#remembering that one time someone at work told me she hated... i fully do not remember if it was delaware or connecticut#because she had to drive through it to visit a friend and the whole drive was like blank farmland for two solid hours#and im like... i never considered the 6 hours i drive through sandy desert to visit family in that light...#now im MORE mad about it lmao

oh another backup thing I’ve learned this year is that external hard drives are like tiny now ?? and way more affordable than you probably think. like you can get a kingston terabyte SSD that fits in your palm for under $100
#the 500gb is like 60 bucks#obv that ideally wouldn’t be your ONLY backup; 3-2-1 method calls for at least 1 copy offsite which for most people is the cloud#but still good to have as one of the three!#do NAWT get sandisk if you can help it. kingston and samsung are the best from what I’ve seen/ been told#& you want SSD (solid state drive) rather than a traditional disk drive. that’s what makes them tiny (& way more durable)

Friendly advice for those with computers or potentially getting a computer: SSDs are worth it.
A SSD is a solid state drive. It serves the same purpose as at HDD or hard disk drive that is found on most computers. The only real difference on a surface level is that a hard drive uses a disk and an SSD doesn't not. The only part you should care about is that a SSD runs a lot faster than a HDD. This means that a computer with a SSD as the primary storage (or the C: drive in many cases) will allow the PC to startup and shut down much faster, access/manage files faster, and last much much longer than a HDD.
If you ever turned a computer and can't do anything because the "Disk" in task manager is at 100%, it's because of the HDD.
You can have both an HDD and an SSD, but Windows (the OS or operating system) will run better on the SSD. The computer will turn on faster. It will shut down faster.
How do I know this? I've seen it twice (technically three times). I put an SSD on my old laptop from around 2015 and reinstalled windows it. The startup and shutdown process mimics a new laptop (the SSD was NOT brand new). This was a laptop that died on me right before my college exams, so it's not my primary PC anymore.
The other more compelling example is I did the same thing to my parents' old 2017(? maybe older) office computer. My parents have complained for years about it running slow. The new SSD I put on it is the first solution that actually brought new life into it.
By the way, you might think a new hard drive would have a similar effect of the new SSD, but a new hard drive is slower than a new or old SSD. It was something I experienced in my current PC while trying to switch to an SSD with larger storage. Windows had always been on my SSD and as soon as I put that OS on the hard drive, it was significantly slower.
A SSD will allow your computer to run well for so much longer. I cannot figure out why the worthwhile investment in a SSD is understated, and I won't shut up about it. Sorry if this was hard to follow. When I'm done with college I'm making an informative comic/info graphic for this.
#sorry this came out of no where#I'm very passionate about this because I had to find the actual benefits of an SSD by accident#I'm sure the information is out there but I'm shocked it's not a widely known thing yet to the average consumer#SSD#HDD#solid state drive#hard disk drive#computer#computers#tech advice
