Anon who asked about the Season of the Worthy trailer music here, thank you!! I just have one more question, do you know if Bungie released the Spire of the Watcher soundtrack?
I don't think they did, but some tracks can be found on Destiny Music Archive channel in this playlist. However, if someone knows if there's been an official release or if there's more tracks anywhere, feel free to drop them in the replies or reblogs!

Anyone wanna just do... a Vesper's Host? or a Warlord's Ruin? or even a Spire of the Watcher.
I literally vibe well with these three dungeons a lot.

seraph the cursed halfling
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seraph, the halfling and herald of the watchers spire. Still messing with final designs, but here are some past concepts.
Seraph, one of the most mysterious characters joining the race for barony, acting as both a sponsor for the race and supplier of necessary good to explore the dungeons for reasons no one knows.

Rite of The Nine Week 1 - Spire of The Watcher
Rite of The Nine is exactly the type of content this blog exists for. Bungie is taking a pass at their aspirational content and making an accessible sub-mode with rewards for eager gamers to get their paws into, and this means more weapons for me to talk about. I'll be doing these on a week-by-week basis, so stay tuned for Prophecy and Ghosts Of The Deep in the following weeks. Full breakdowns on all four of the unique weapons in alphabetical order below the cut.
LIMINAL VIGIL
Tumblr media
The sidearm doesn't have proper API data sorted out on D2Foundry, so we're getting a slightly scuffed light.gg setup instead. I'll personally be chasing the rolls of Headstone/Desperate Measures and Attrition Orbs/Rimestealer for Pve, and Lone Wolf/Kill Clip for PvP. Your main challenge on Liminal Vigil is going to be keeping your groupings tight and on-target, so your barrel and mag will be put to good use cranking the stability, as you have a naturally vertical recoil pattern already with 94 out of the box. I'm usually not crazy about Rimestealer, but having access to another potent utility perk next to it is quite the boon. This will make for a strong pairing with Rimecoat Raiment builds, but if you're less specialized, Headstone/DM is just a solid workhorse for general purpose play.
LONG ARM
Tumblr media
Long Arm hasn't really changed much from its first iteration, but it is uniquely qualified to take advantage of Gravity Well. This isn't exactly a good enough utility to justify building around, however, so use it as you would any other aggressive scout. Subsistence/Dragonfly will eat crowds alive, as Dragonfly damage inherits the weapon scaling, and aggressive frame scouts have naturally high scalars. Redirection, Rolling Storm, and Explosive Payload are all worth considering in the fourth column, but the third is a little less exciting, with your only real PvE perks being Rapid Hit and Dual Loader. If it wasn't for Gravity Well, I'd probably be recommending Dual Loader, but slowing down your reload speed so drastically kind of ruins the convenient interaction the rounds reload enables. (EDIT: Apparently this isn't a thing anymore and I missed that. Dual Loader or Subsistence is now entirely your preference, they're pretty equally good in my eyes.)
TERMINUS HORIZON
Tumblr media
Redirection/Killing Tally High-Impact Frame Machine Gun (Dragonfly in the third column is neat, but like. Dude.)
WILDERFLIGHT
Tumblr media
I am admittedly pretty biased towards double fire GLs and swap DPS options in general, but I'm in love with this already. Wilderflight has a favourable element for surgematching with powerhouses like Tomorrow's Answer and Edge Transit, and a perk pool deep enough to make Rhulk proud. Repulsor/Destab, Reverberation/Destab, Demo/Vorpal, Demo/Lead, Auto/Frenzy if you're a hipster, it's harder to find bad combos for Wilderflight than it is to find good ones. My dungeon luck disagrees with me on that, but I digress. This is the second best void special GL to drop from a dungeon, and that's only because of how absurd Attrition is on area denial frames. I will not be shutting up about Wilderflight for at least the next three years.
REVISITING TERMINUS HORIZON BECAUSE THERE'S SOME OTHER STUFF, I GUESS
Do I think you should use anything but Recon/KT on it? Absolutely not, you're insane for suggesting as much. Do I have a responsibility as an educator to tell you about what you could, hypothetically, be using instead? Yes. Dragonfly/Rolling Storm is a potent combo for building bolt charge, but would be worse than a similar roll on Watchful Eye. Triple Tap/Target Lock (or High-Impact Reserves, or Precision Instrument) is a potent combo for sustained DPS if you're busy scrolling brainrot with your other hand, but is better on Retrofit Escapade. Demolitionist/Killing Tally is pretty solid, I'll allow that one. Eddy Current is a bad perk. Envious Arsenal doesn't need to be on this gun.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Broadly, the refreshed Spire weapons are all strong options. Only two of them are genuinely competitive options, in Terminus and Wilderflight, but that has less to do with the others being bad and is mostly because they're either outclassed or not doing a role that needs to be done. Long Arm is a strict downgrade to Unworthy from Sundered Doctrine, and Liminal Vigil is outclassed as an Attrition Orbs tool by the free Multimach available at Banshee. Farm up a Wilderflight if you like doing boss damage and your opponent is too far away for you to hold LMB with Lord of Wolves, and farm up a Terminus Horizon because I told you to.

Took me an hour and a half this time after probably 2-3 hours a couple weeks ago. But I did it. I earned a dungeon title.

Is stuff like clarity control and ahsa widely known within the destiny universe? Or is it classified? Like does your average run of the mill vanguard operative know about what’s going on on Titan, Does that Exo that work at the bar in town know about clarity
Is it on a need to know Basis where vanguard operatives know but civilians don’t ?
Not only asking about those two things necessarily but things of a similar kind too. Things like the seraph satellites and their destruction, the stuff that’s happens in the throne world or even Saladin now being a part of caiatls war council as well
These things are fairly well known, at least to Guardians! I'm not entirely sure it actual civilians in the City know everything, though they must know at least some stuff given that it frequently impacts their lives and Guardians also tend to chat a lot. There's probably some stuff that doesn't really reach the civilians, but I believe most of it does one way or another, mostly through Guardians.
Usually how it's treated is that a select few people find out first, which technically just means the Vanguard and the Young Wolf and some other people like for example Osiris or Drifter or whoever is involved in the story. New missions, raids and dungeons are first uncovered and cleared by the YW and a few other guardians (since raids in particular need 6 total people).
But after that, all of these missions become open to others and every time we clear them, it's canonical in some way. Some more so than others; for example us killing Fikrul over and over in his strike was canon every time. Some other missions might be sort-of canon as in we go back into these areas to clear out ads, but we don't really kill the same boss over and over. But repeated visits are canonical and other Guardians are free to go in and learn and get loot. As soon as you get hundreds of people freely entering these areas, the news would spread pretty fast. The only question is how interested civilians are in some of these things.
A few examples of this:
recently when we discovered Spire of the Watcher dungeon, canonically the YW did it first, but afterwards Ana Bray hired another fireteam to go back in for more data. Our repeated visits are treated more or less the same; as Guardians going in for loot and information.
Stuff we discovered in the Vow of the Disciple is known and Guardians were hired to transfer samples and information out of the Pyramid, detailed here showing a random Guardian transporting samples which didn't end well for him. However, this shows that these things aren't kept a strict secret, as many Guardians are required to secure locations like this, keep enemies out and gather data. Similarly, the Preservation mission is canonically happening over and over which allows Guardians to enter the Pyramid and clear it of Scorn so anyone can go in and snoop around.
Other stuff that might feel like it would be classified, like certain texts, are widely available. Witch Queen Collector's Edition showed us that both Books of Sorrow and Unveiling are being read by pretty much everyone casually. These texts were otherwise unlocked by us in missions, but once they're unlocked, it seems like they become available to everyone else in the setting freely.
Sometimes others actually precede the YW and the Vanguard in some missions, like for example with Garden of Salvation raid. That was first done by a completely different fireteam, including the discovery of the exotic gun from it, Divinity. It's unclear how much of it they did exactly, but they reference the Divinity puzzle and actually get the gun. They were definitely in the space first.
We also know that civilians are also involved with research and science in the world, shown here by listing a few papers written by civilian researchers. This also shows that there's a scientific journals with a lot of volumes and papers being released. So even outside of learning things from Guardians, civilians surely have access to general knowledge and new discoveries in the setting. That doesn't mean that everyone knows everything by default, as it probably depends on someone's personal interests first and foremost, as well as how new or potentially dangerous some information is. For example at this point, stuff about the DSC and new discoveries about Exos are probably fairly spread out, so a random Exo civilians is probably aware of it (if they care enough to read into it). I'm sure some brand new stuff is kept contained for a while so Ahsa was probably a secret until we were sure that she's not a danger to us, but now she may be better known, especially since she fought by our side and is our ally.

Destiny 2 - Year Six: A (sort of) Review
(or at least a very messy attempt)
I'm not gonna talk about the seasons themselves in great detail here - in my humble opinion the lightfall seasons where the best so far. (I only started in Lost tho, so I missed out on fan favourites like Dawn and Splicer.) My aim is more to talk about the stuff that happened apart from seasonal stuff - my own successes and failures.
I got so many titles this year: Not only seasonal or story ones but also full on raid titles. For example I got Rivensbane only a few months ago! And Godslayer just last week. None of this would've been possible without a fantastic fireteam of course. First and Foremost my best friends - my qpr @oseamonkeyo and my beloved @sleepyserena. Here's to many more adventures! (If you are also looking for a place to play the game with friends check out our discord btw!)
This game has brought me so much joy, it's unreal. And I'm so glad I got into it. It helped me grow as a person and I know I would not be the same person without it.
Cycling back to Year Six - I did my first Solo Dungeons this year! Shattered Throne was the first one. In late September I also conquered Spire of the Watcher, earning my first Dungeon Title. In January I did a solo Pit of Heresy in my efforts to get the Harbinger Title (I'm still missing the Master Nightmare Hunt Time Trials for it tho).
I got better at Buildcrafting too! My Orpheus Rig Build even got me through the solo Pit and multiple flawless Onslaughts. I feel like I finally got the hang of figuring out multiple builds that plays well with my usual style.
Looking back to this past year in Destiny made me realize how far I've come in it. From my humble beginnings in Beyond Light to now, it's insane how much this game changed me.
And before I get even more sappy and start to sob while writing I'm gonna cut it here. It's only a few hours until reset and we (hopefully) get in and see the salvation for ourselves.
See you starside. And remember - Eyes Up, Guardian.

Over the expacs, what’s been your favourite raid or dungeon bosses?
Hey, Anon! Sorry this took so long, but I wanted to give this some real thought. So I've never been much of a raider. I just didn't find it too exciting to treat WoW like a part-time job. I dabbled in Vanilla, but never did anything after Zul'Gurub. There was a bit in late BC when my small guild and another one joined forces to run Karazhan for awhile (I don't know that we ever got as farther than chess). But it wasn't til the introduced LFR that I ever saw raids while they were new with any real frequency (I know, I am a filthy casual). My endgame has usually been more PvP and alts. But! That leaves a zillion dungeons and the raid experiences I have had so let's see…
When I think of dungeons in Vanilla, I think of Blackrock Spire. I have a great fondness for General Drakkisath in UBRS, for having someone kite him all over the place. And the Beast! Taking the punt from the Beast. Eventually getting the Chromatic Carapace and starting down that road. Those were really fun times. But also Bal'nazaar in Strat, which was a really fun surprise and also, uh, something I actually have a screenshot of. :)
Tumblr media
In BC, it's all about the Blackheart the Inciter fight in Shadow Labyrinth. "Slaughter yourselves for my amusement!" That was a wacky one, especially the first time you saw it. It was also cool, as a non-raider, to get to fight Kaelthas in Magister's Terrace. But also, in Auchenai Crypts, Shirrak the Dead Watcher. The first time you came to that bridge and saw that guy, that was memorable.
Tumblr media
Wrath is really hard to pin down. I'm actually really partial to Utgarde Keep. But it kinda has to be the Lich King chasing you out of Halls of Reflection. That was such a tense encounter. Unsurprisingly, I don't have any screenshots. But, looking through my screenshots, I just found out we did Naxxramus in 2009! I have no memory of this!
Tumblr media
Who knew?? I bet the same friend who made us an alliance with a bigger guild to do Kara was behind this, but I completely forgot about it.
First boss that comes to mind in Cataclysm is in the Stonecore, your friend and mine, Ozruk. Like many of you, I am certain, the first time he yelled "Break yourselves upon my body!" my group cracked up laughing. I think we might have even wiped from laughing too hard. He's got a great song, too! But for Cata, it has to be Deathwing. The fight on his back is probably the most memorable instance fight in the expansion, for good or ill.
Tumblr media
Mists actually has a whole lot of my favorite dungeon and raid bosses. Stormstout Brewery was pretty unique, with the Ook Ook fight being pretty great. I liked the Sha of Fear fight, with the teleporting to different platforms and all. The Paragons in Siege of Orgrimmar are memorable. I did so much for those bastards. Having to fight them all was mean. I think the Thunder King raid is one of the best raids of all time, top to bottom, and the Thunder King himself was a really cool fight.
Tumblr media
Warlords is actually harder to remember. Nitrogg Thundertower on the Grimrail Depot train was really cool. I remember hating basically every minute of the Everbloom... Ner'zhul in Shadowmoon Burial Grounds had good atmosphere. I enjoyed Highmaul, but did not like that final raid at all, nor the remake of my beloved UBRS. Oh, High Sage Vyrix, that was a cool fight. Man. That Archimonde fight. I swear, it took like 15 tries in LFR. I never went back after we finally won.
Tumblr media
I've expressed my complicated feelings about Legion before, but it had some fun dungeons. The fight in the dark in Vault of the Wardens was really cool. Maw of Souls' fight with Freyja was cool, tearing up the back of that boat. But not a whole lost stands out to me, dungeon & raid wise.
Tumblr media
BfA. I liked the Ghuun fight. The Azshara fight, and also the swimming one with the big eel. That whole final raid was pretty interesting, with a good final battle. Some cool things in there. But the best was Lord and Lady Waycrest in Waycrest Manor, with the big pipe organ. That was cool.
In Shadowlands, I liked almost everything in the first raid. Some really fun things in there, and Denathrius especially. The Tarragrue fight in the 2nd raid was really fun with the anima powers. And the Eye of The Jailer fight making you grapple across that gap was fun.
Tumblr media
I have weirdly very few memories of Dragonflight dungeons & raids, apart from fighting Fyrakk over and over trying to get that damn axe. My RNG is legendarily bad. 11 tries and nothing yet. I don't think I played dungeons too much after the first couple of months, and didn't get too into the first 2 raids. Think I did them once each. Honestly, Dragonflight has found me playing alts harder than ever, so between that and PVP, I've done a lot fewer instances. But I do like that they incorporated dragonriding into one dungeon and the 2nd to last fight in Amirdrassil.
And that is my long, long answer. I'm sure I'll remember something I should've mentioned as soon as I hit post. Thanks for the ask!

New Light Guide to Scout Rifles
Tumblr media
I’m posting deranged scout stuff again.
The loot pool in D2 is so nonsensical rn that it’s impossible to tell what comes from where without someone spelling it out. So I’m gonna do that. These are all the currently accessible best in slot legendary scouts that you can go out and get RIGHT NOW* if you wanted.
Tumblr media
OVERVIEW:
I will only be going over scouts that CAN STILL BE REALISTICALLY OBTAINED. No Eternal Blazons from a random lost sector. There is a section for world drops at the end but if it doesn’t have an Origin Trait, it didn’t make the list.
Barrel, sight, mag, and masterwork options are all personal preference. Even on MnK I like to go for recoil direction first, followed by stability, handling, and then range and reload. Your mileage may vary based on personal aim skill, preference, control scheme, etc, etc. so just experiment with everything until you find what you’re comfortable with.
THE LIST:
Night Watch (not pictured): Lightweight Kinetic. Shaw Han gives you a god roll (overflow, explosive rounds) for free just for doing the New Light quest. This is a great scout and will serve new players flawlessly. For most this will be enough.
Trustee (not pictured): Solar Rapid Fire from the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Probably the strongest energy legendary scout in the game. I have been really unlucky with my drops and don’t have a good roll or crafted version yet. Go for Incandescent and Reconstruction and watch the world burn.
Randy’s Throwing Knife (not pictured): Kinetic Rapid Fire. Random reward this season (S21) from crucible matches and engrams. Will be focusable next season. A previous pinnacle weapon brought back with random rolls. Look for things like Zen Moment, Rapid Hit, Kill Clip, Box Breathing, Discord, Perpetual Motion, Cascade Point, and Kinetic Tremors.
Servant Leader: Kinetic Rapid Fire. Found from decrypting Gambit engrams with Drifter. Monstrous 2.6x zoom. Even more monstrous loot pool. Alternative to Randy’s if Gambit is more your speed. Watch for Frenzy, Kill Clip, Adrenaline Junkie, Rapid Hit, One for All, Shoot to Loot, and Subsistence.
Doom of Chelchis: Void 180 from the King’s Fall raid. Craftable. Perks to look for: One for All, Explosive Rounds, Frenzy, Repulsor Brace. Rare Dragonfly+Firefly combo.
Hung Jury: Kinetic 180. Nightfall drop. Best in slot Kinetic scout right now. Adept is not mandatory but recommended. Perks to look for: No Distractions, Rapid Hit, Box Breathing, Firefly, Kinetic Tremors.
Long Arm: Arc 120. Legendary version of DMT from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. 120s aren’t the strongest rn especially with big brother DMT around. Nut it’s farmable on certain weeks and has good perks so I’d say it’s worth it. Recommended perks: Rapid Hit, Hip Fire, Explosive Rounds, Adrenaline Junkie, Opening Shot.
Nameless Midnight: Kinetic 180. Drops from Vanguard Ops. Will be focusable next season (S23) at Zavala. Reliable workhorse. Monstrous perk pool. Luckily it means you can get pretty much whatever you want on it. Some to watch for would be Kill Clip, Keep Away, Kinetic Tremors, Slideways, Rampage, Zen Moment, Explosive Rounds, and Perpetual Motion.
Vision of Confluence: Solar 180. Drops from Vault of Glass raid. A personal favorite. This is low on the list due to rumors about the raid getting refreshed i.e. Last Wish style. It’s been a little left behind but is still technically farmable. Small perkpool with good options. I recommend Killing, Wind, Kill Clip, Firefly, Frenzy, and Zen Moment.
Last Rite: Kinetic 120. Ritual weapon for this season. Can be earned at Rank 16 with Zavala, Shaxx, or Drifter. It’s an OK scout. Nothing stellar but it is guaranteed and I’d be lying If I’d say Reconstruction and Focused Fury were’t a ton of fun to play with. You’ll earn this naturally as you play but I wouldn’t seek it out over the other on this list.
Pointed Inquiry: Void High Impact. Found in Savathun’s Throne World. Craftable. Frankly, the sights on this scout are terrible and its stats are mediocre at best. It can get Genesis+Disruption Break but your time is better spent going after something else.
Transfiguration: Kinetic High Impact. Drops from the Last Wish raid. Newly refreshed. A very strong scout and contender for best in slot next to Hung Jury. Watch out for the stellar Kill Clip + Rampage combo. Can also get Explosive Rounds, Kinetic Tremors, Discord, Keep Away, Demolitionist, Rapid Hit, or Rewind Rounds.
WORLD DROP SECTION:
World drops are rare nowadays but there’s a handful of useful scouts you can get from the random purple engram you found on patrol. Good luck!
Jararaca SR3: Stasis rapid fire. You will need to get lucky for this one but Banshee and Xur sell it from time to time and it still drops in the world loot pool (i think). Perks to look for: Kill Clip, Rapid Hit, No Distractions, Tunnel Vision, Headstone.
Contingency Plan: Arc Rapid Fire. Same deal as Jararaca. Just lightning flavored. Perks to look for: Kill Clip, Rapid Hit, No Distractions, Tunnel Vision, Elemental Capacitor.
Perses-D: Stasis High Impact. The only stasis High Impact in the game. Very strong if you’re lucky enough to get one. Stats-For-All or Rapid Hit combined with either One-For-All or Headstone is the play here. (Getting multikills with the headstone crystal can proc Stats-For-All FYI)
Glissando-47: Strand 180. New this season. Is pretty much outclassed by every other scout in this slot. Still has some valuable perks if you’re new and is sold at Banshee VERY frequently. Watch for Hatchling, Reconstruction, Overflow, Box Breathing, and Discord.
Honorable mention to Vouchsafe which can still be earned in the Dreaming City via Blind Well and Bounties. It’s outpaced by DoC in nearly every category so I’d say go for that if you need a purple flavored scout for whatever reason.
There are also all the exotic options. Polaris Lance (my baby), Symmetry, MIDA, DMT, Jade Rabbit, Wicked Implement, and Skyburners Oath. Implement is available this season via the Deep Dive quest and the others can be retrieved from the Lost Light Monument in the tower. Touch of Malice is a fascinating but not very useful exotic scout from Kings Fall. It is getting an unknown buff soon so if you’re doing KF for Doom of Chelchis, keep your fingers crossed for that one too.
Hope this helps!
*some of these are on weekly rotators so pay attention to what is available at the weekly reset!
Here is my full non-sunset-but-not-necessarily-obtainable legendary collection if you want to compare to your own vaults to see if you have any hidden treasures. I recommend everything here. Complete w/notes.
