Time for one of my small yap sessions bc I'm probably not going to bed anytime soon !!

Sometimes I like to give ii characters silly little headcanons that absolutely do not matter !! One example of this is assigning them songs, such as salt and peppers being Two birds on a wire by Regina Spektor, and (one of, I have many that I've assigned to her) Tacos being sugarcoat by sushi soucy

Today, my silly little headcanons of the day revolves around allergies !!

While i don't have many allergies myself, I think it's kind of fun to think about whatever allergies they'd have (if MePhone were to ever actually program them with such things)

Yang is canonically gluten-free (although I'm not sure if he's actually allergic to gluten, or if they just genuinely don't eat anything with gluten)

Taco would possibly have a nut allergy??

Fan would probably both have a peanut allergy and be lactose intolerant (double whammy, am I right? /j)

Balloon would have a shellfish allergy, idk why I think this I just do

And... these are all I've thought of so far?? Any questions or anything??

I wonder if Mephone would know about allergies? I like to think Cobs is lactose intolerant, so I suppose by my own headcanons he'd at least know about that.

We don't...see Yang having any sort of negative physical reaction to eating Dough, so it might just be not eating things with gluten.

I suppose she could? I usually think of her as being able to eat literally anything, even things that are noy edible, if it can fit in her mouth she can eat it even if she really shouldn't. It would certainly make survival in the woods harder on her.

Yeah I could see Fan being one to have those allergies. He'd probably flip flop from being super careful not to eat anything with lactose and not caring at all and eating a pint of ice cream while binging steven universe.

He develops the allergy after Baxter steals his credit cards one to many times. Now he knows that if he's randomly getting the sniffles, he's probably getting robbed.

I feel like Eddie’s favorite memories from vacations are from when the girls are little – like, babies little.

He remembers the first time they brought Moe to the beach. She had just passed the ten-month mark, and planning their trip to Maine was one of the first things they’d done when her adoption was finalized a few weeks earlier.

Their first morning in Maine, they woke up early and made the trek down to the little beach nearby. The sky was still hazy, the sand smooth and unmarred from the night’s high tide. Eddie remembers that Moe was dressed in an adorable yellow swimsuit and Steve had valiantly stuck a pink sunhat on her head even though she was pretty much guaranteed to yank it off as soon as the opportunity presented itself, and he remembers that Steve had walked with Moe down to the water, pointing out the seagulls and the shells and the lighthouse all the way down the coastline barely visible through the early morning ocean mist.

Steve put her down right at the edge of the tide, and she’s not quite walking yet so Steve’s still got his hands under her arms as he crouched down to watch Moe's reactions to the waves rolling in. She tried to pick her little feet up above the water at first, but after a moment or two she was squishing her toes in the sand and looking out onto the water with her face looking all inquisitive.

After a couple moments, Steve looked up at Eddie with a soft smile on his face and Eddie’s heart gave a panging throb in the best way because, fuck, his entire world rests within these two people, and he's so damn grateful that he gets to spend his life with Steve, watching their daughter explore the world.

He has that same kind of moment only a few years later with Robbie (who had goddamn hated the beach and there's a special delight in that kind of baby-indignation, as Eddie now knows) and again a few years after that with Hazel.

For Steve, his favorite vacation moments are the opposite – from the later years, when the girls are older, because he’d loved raising babies but the most exciting part of parenthood to him was watching the people his daughters were becoming.

They were hiking a fairly easy trail in Yosemite (because neither Steve nor Eddie’s knees could handle the tougher ones anymore, and even if they wanted to try, Robbie and Hazel’s whining would make it not worth the effort). The girls are a good few paces ahead of them, Hazel and Moe walking hand-in-hand while Robbie argues with them over what kind of bird they’d heard calling a few hundred yards behind them. They’re wearing swimsuits and shorts because Moe swears they’re gonna pass a lake at some point during their hike, and Robbie's got her old Converse on despite the entire family telling her she’d regret it immediately (and Steve’s pretty sure she does regret it at this point, even if she’s not letting on).

Steve didn’t know it, but he was having the same revelation that Eddie’d had seventeen years earlier – disbelief, in a way, at how wonderful his life is and how the vague notion of family that he'd had in his brain at eighteen years old is the life he's actually living now.

Cobs being dead isn't enough I want him dead^2. It's like, ik he's dead in canon but it wasn't enough, do it again corn boy, perish from those you have inflicted pain on once more. Know your place, understand you are terrible but do not gain the means to make amends because you are too far gone an no one would forgive you anyway

On a lighter note I also made popcorn when the II movie finale came out. That's when I learned how to make microwaved popcorn LOL

Absolutely. Ask and you shall receive, post s2 living Mepad headcanons!! :D

I actually think the others would be a bit weirded out seeing Taco and Mepad interacting at first. For one, they're speaking French to each other, a language which half the cast though Taco had lied about speaking, the other half did not know of her speaking at all, and no one had thought about Mepad changing his language settings. Then there's how gentle he is with her, very much the opposite of anything they've been associating with Taco. And then there's her being gentle back to him, in her own way. Offering up honesty much easier (well, they don't understand French, but when they're speaking English they'd get it), snapping at him significantly less, not insulting him, just being much kinder to him in general. It would probably help a lot with acclimating her into the group. Everyone trusts Mepad, or at least hold no ill-will against him, yeah? His trust in her makes things much smoother.

However! Consider slight lingering uncertainly towards him from a few contestants. Particularly those that weren't present in the hotel when Mephone told everyone the truth of their creation, who didn't see how Mepad had immediately told the contestants to get behind him, and was pretty dang angry. But, yeah, a little linger suspicion that Mepad might have known, being a fellow Meeple device and Mephone's second-in-command. I don't think it would take too long for anyone to get over such suspicions, but I can definitely see some lingering doubt after everything does down.

Also, since we know the contestants looted Meeple, there's also the idea of Mepad experiencing that. There would be a lot of feelings to be had about what could be found there, yeah? Mecintosh, for one, could be an interesting interaction. Evidence of Cobs' poor treatment of his children. Maybe even blueprints or plans for Mepad himself, before Mephone had taken him. A mixture of dread, curiosity, and gratitude, I'd say.

Mepad and Toilet would probably have quite a few long talks, now that they're physically reunited in a non life-or-death scenario. Mepad would want to apologize for not having stood up for him more, when Mephone fired him. Toilet would not be angry with him <3. And then Toilet would catch Mepad up on everything he'd been doing since they'd split up. Everything. Mepad learns a lot about Toilet's favourite foods solely by how much he hears about various dishes. He wouldn't trade it for the world.

There's also the idea of Mepad running into 4 or 3GS again. They're both electronics and are on an island with no way to generate things, I don't see them being able to leave or even really wanting to for quite a while. It might be a bit awkward between 4 and Mepad, but I do think it would be really nice for him and 3GS to get to meet.
