Do you have any advice for someone who wants to start worshipping Lord Hypnos? I already call for his aid most nights with my insomnia and I thought I should properly start worshipping him

in terms of worshipping on a day-to-day basis, without talking about offerings, i usually pray to Lord Hypnos every night to thank Him for blessing me with proper and good rest. i also tend to thank him and pray to Him for help with overcoming any challenges in my waking life as i do tend to associate myself with His domain of unconsciousness (and as a psychology major, i believe a lot of my issues are deeply rooted in my unconscious). if you’re looking for various forms of subtle worship, i highly recommend @khaire-traveler ‘s masterlist on that!

if you’re interested in any offerings, i do suggest looking through @screeching-0wl ‘s masterlist. they do have information on what exactly to offer Lord Hypnos (poppy seeds, honey, milk, herbal tea, relaxing and sleep-inducing herbs or imagery of things He’s associated with; pillows, feathers, etc etc.).

on a more general note, Lord Hypnos is a fairly easy deity to incorporate in your daily life. sleep is such a crucial action we engage in every single day. taking the time to thank Him and pray to Him for help with your sleep can go a long way. i don’t have any life-changing advice to offer you other than to absolutely go for it if worshipping is what you’re interested in! always remember to respect and cherish Him. He always looks after me during my sleep and my drowsiest of moments (which is every second of my waking day). look after yourself and do little acts here and there that remind you of Him and can be dedicated to Him. practice patience and restraint. allow yourself to take things slow. dedicate your sleeping space to Lord Hypnos by sprucing it up and treating it like your personal haven!

What's your opinion on Morpheus as a Hellenic polytheist? From my research, he is a purely Roman deity from Ovid's Metamorphoses

i don’t have a very fleshed-out opinion since i don’t personally worship Lord Morpheus and haven’t (unfortunately) done a lot of reading up on Him yet.

i do recall hearing of some people being worshippers of Morpheus, so i do recommend anyone who is to please leave their thoughts, opinions, and advice here for our friend ^^

i’m sure many people worship Him as the God of Dreams, and if i recall Morpheus is the son of Lord Hypnos (who i have more of a worshipping relationship with). from what i gathered, He tends to help out with dreams; passing along messages you might need to hear and ensuring safety, protection, and positivity in that area. my general opinion is one of respect and admiration, i believe Lord Morpheus deserves much more recognition and many more hymns in His honor ♡

I do think he has bad vision too, but I also like to think that he keeps his eyes closed all the time because he just hates eye contact so much that it’s easier to just keep his eyes closed all the time

I think he was told to wear glasses when he was little but was made not to wear them because they took away from the image of cuteness he had ANDDD they reflected the stage lights too much so he never really adjusted to the feeling of having glasses on and whenever he puts them on now he gets bad headaches, like the kind you get with your first pair of glasses
