PSA!
Spoilers under the cut but GUYS. GUYS. Do NOT skip through the "Wait for Godo" quest! This is for your own good!
This quest is so creepy and for WHAT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a two second overworld quest! Run into a random NPC who asks you to go see about the missing guard literally one building over! Standard open world stuff! Easy peasy!
Oh, and also just go ahead and say hi to the random eldritch shadow being while you're at it. NO BIG DEAL??? (I missed capturing the first two text boxes where you casually notice a 'massive looming shadow' over the beach demanding your 'attention and submission' and this doesn't concern you at all. You get your memories back but you can't actually remember what you're remembering as you remember it. Just that of course you know these shadows. You remember how they'd dance at your command.)
(Like.)
(WHAT.)
And then you fight some super easy mobs and the quest just ends. There's no turn-in - the quest giver won't even talk to you. It's like it never happened in the first place.
Kuro, what the hell.
I love it.
(Also the implications of the 'I still have work to do' line. I picked '...I should wake up.' because I thought it was a better wham line if this were a book or movie or something but the implications of the second one are ruining me. That's a 'But I have miles to go before I sleep' kind of line line. That's the kind of thing you say to keep from going toward the bright light. WHAT was HAPPENING here.)
EDIT: THE QUEST NAME IS A WAITING FOR GODOT REFERENCE. WHO DID THIS.

Embracing this diversity is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic advantage in the global arena. By nurturing synergy in diversity, individuals and organizations alike can unlock a wealth of perspectives, ideas, and talents, propelling them to new heights of success.

In essence, "Bridging Cultural Gaps and Succeeding Globally, Nurturing Synergy in Diversity" is a call to action, an invitation to embrace the world with open arms and open minds. It is a reminder that our shared humanity is far more profound than our differences and that by celebrating these differences, we pave the way for a brighter, more harmonious future – a future where the synergy born from cultural diversity propels us to unprecedented levels of global success.
In the complex tapestry of international business, successfully bridging cultural gaps is not just a challenge; it's an opportunity for growth, understanding, and sustainable global success. This aspect involves several key topics that are crucial in ensuring harmonious collaborations and fruitful business relationships across borders.
1. Cross-Cultural Communication: Crafting Effective Strategies
India's rich cultural diversity is a testament to its vibrant heritage, but it also means that communication styles, gestures, and etiquettes can vary significantly across regions. Developing tailored Cross-Cultural Communication strategies is imperative. Businesses must train their employees to communicate effectively, ensuring that messages are not just translated but also culturally resonant. Understanding nuances in tone, body language, and context is vital to avoid misunderstandings and establish strong connections with global stakeholders. By investing in cross-cultural communication training, Indian firms can bridge linguistic and cultural divides, fostering trust and mutual respect.
2. Building Global Relationships: Leveraging Cultural Connections
India's extensive diaspora and cultural connections around the world provide a unique advantage in Building Global Relationships. Indian firms can tap into these networks to establish meaningful connections with international partners, clients, and consumers. Cultural affinity often forms the basis of trust in global business relationships. By leveraging shared cultural experiences and values, businesses can create a solid foundation for collaboration. Networking events, cultural exchanges, and leveraging social media platforms that cater to specific cultural groups can facilitate the establishment of robust global networks, opening doors to new opportunities and markets.
3. Managing Cultural Differences: Turning Diversity into Strength
Cultural differences, if managed effectively, can transform into assets rather than challenges. Preparing Indian firms to Manage Cultural Differences involves comprehensive training programs that focus on cultural intelligence, empathy, and adaptability. By understanding diverse cultural perspectives, businesses can harness the creativity that emerges from varied viewpoints. Moreover, learning to navigate cultural differences helps in preventing misunderstandings and conflicts. Cultural training should be ongoing, ensuring that employees are continually updated on global cultural norms and practices. Emphasizing the celebration of cultural diversity within the organization can create an inclusive environment where employees feel valued for their unique perspectives and contributions.
4. Fostering a Culture of Inclusivity and Respect
Beyond specific strategies, fostering a Culture of Inclusivity and Respect is essential. This involves creating policies and practices within the organization that champion diversity and multiculturalism. Inclusivity should be embedded in recruitment processes, employee training, and professional development programs. Recognizing and celebrating cultural festivals and events from various parts of India and the world can foster a sense of belonging among employees. Additionally, promoting leadership opportunities for individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds ensures that different perspectives are represented at decision-making levels, leading to a more comprehensive and informed organizational strategy.
Conclusion: Embracing Diversity, Empowering Success
In the global arena, where borders blur and connections span continents, the ability to bridge cultural gaps is a core competency. Indian firms, armed with an understanding of cross-cultural communication, a robust global network, effective management of cultural differences, and a culture of inclusivity, can not only succeed but also thrive globally. By transforming diversity into strength, businesses can navigate the complexities of international collaborations with grace and wisdom, ultimately contributing to a more interconnected, empathetic, and prosperous world.
Conclusion
Working with international cultures enriches the workplace by fostering a global mindset, encouraging inclusivity, and promoting mutual respect among employees. Embracing cultural diversity is not just a moral imperative but also a strategic advantage in today's globalized economy. By investing in cultural intelligence, effective communication, respect for differences, and conflict resolution skills, organizations can create an inclusive and harmonious work environment where employees thrive, and creativity and innovation flourish. Embracing unity in diversity is not only a testament to the organization's commitment to inclusivity but also a pathway to a more connected and compassionate world.

Two Harvard students recently revealed that it's possible to combine Meta smart glasses with face image search technology to "reveal anyone's personal details," including their name, address, and phone number, "just from looking at them."
In a Google document, AnhPhu Nguyen and Caine Ardayfio explained how they linked a pair of Meta Ray Bans 2 to an invasive face search engine called PimEyes to help identify strangers by cross-searching their information on various people-search databases. They then used a large language model (LLM) to rapidly combine all that data, making it possible to dox someone in a glance or surface information to scam someone in seconds—or other nefarious uses, such as "some dude could just find some girl’s home address on the train and just follow them home,” Nguyen told 404 Media.
This is all possible thanks to recent progress with LLMs, the students said.
"This synergy between LLMs and reverse face search allows for fully automatic and comprehensive data extraction that was previously not possible with traditional methods alone," their Google document said.
Where previously someone could spend substantial time conducting their own search of public databases to find information based on someone's image alone, their dystopian smart glasses do that job in a few seconds, their demo video said.
The co-creators said that they altered a pair of Meta Ray Bans 2 to create I-XRAY to raise awareness of "significant privacy concerns" online as technology rapidly advances.

“the eternal wanderer. even death cannot release it from its plight.”
tribeless
1 power - 1 health - 7 bones
unkillable - when a card bearing this sigil perishes, a copy of it is created in your hand.
corpse eater - if a creature that you own perishes by combat, a card bearing this sigil in your hand is automatically played in its place.
brittle - after attacking, a card bearing this sigil perishes.
hidden trait - cursebearer
this card cannot be sacrificed at the sigil stones event.
finally posting my isatscryption stuff here!!! yipee!!! here’s a writeup about the card design because frankly i put wayy too much thought into all of these cards. sorry if these are a bit hard to parse!
unkillable and corpse eater effectively make sif immortal, since every time he dies, he’ll be placed back on the board! and i thought that was fitting for. y’know. timeloop reasons. brittle is only there to emphasize the whole constantly dying thing. because is it really isat without siffrin torment
also didn’t notice this until after i designed this card, but the brittle sigil art has a star on it??? not intentional in the slightest but it is Fitting
sif is a fox here! i know that that would technically put them in the canine tribe, but i felt it’d be more fitting for them to be tribeless? and base game inscryption already kinda bends the rules when it comes to tribes (such as the bullfrog being a reptile and the rabbit being treated internally as a rodent) so i think it still works
i’m well aware that card traits don’t actually have cool names or anything but i still want to give them cool names because it’s fun. anyways! cursebearer! i gave them this trait both because these sigils are extremely overpowered, and for lore reasons. sif sees their sigils as a curse! they don’t want to force them on anyone else!! it’s their burden to bear!!!
tangentially related to that last point, but sif is a talking card in this au! because it’s fun :3. and because i think it’d be really interesting to see how he’d react to the cabin
sif’s scar is covered by the hat a bit but it’s Star Shaped. and so is the eye shine teehee
this was the first card i made and Boy Does It Show. i had the WORST time trying to get the card generators to work for this because oops! both of the card generators are inaccurate in different ways! plus theres a few mistakes in the card art that i didn’t notice until after i finished most of the others... i promise the others are a little more polished
also, since i didn’t mention it above the cut, the sigil patch is for the bone king sigil! which makes the card award 4 bones instead of 1 upon death. this is less for lore reasons and more for the synergy with his sigils. since he’s constantly dying and coming back, he can basically give you infinite bones for Zero Cost. fun!
aaand i think that’s all the notes for this card! thanks for reading this absurdly long post. here’s his alt card art without the patch for your troubles 🫡

MINORS DNI 18+!
Summary: Natasha is proud of her best player.
Warnings: g!p Natasha, kinda manipulative, desk sex, rough sex
Word count: 1,9k
A/n: first time writing g!p. It’s a little rushed, but that came suddenly in my mind 🧍🏻‍♀️
The halftime buzzer echoed through the gymnasium, signaling a break in the intense game. Natasha, clad in her coaching attire, surveyed the court with a stern expression. The tension in the air was palpable.
Natashas piercing gaze followed the players as they retreated into the locker room. Her team was trailing, and the urgency of the situation reflected in the crease of her brow.
As the players settled into the locker room, Natasha’s eyes remained fixed on you. A silent understanding passed between you both – Natasha knew that you were their last hope for a comeback. The weight of expectations rested squarely on the your shoulders, and Natasha’s intense stare conveyed the gravity of the moment.
Inside the locker room, the air was charged with anticipation. Natasha, standing at the center, addressed the team with a steely resolve. “This is our chance to turn the game around. We’ve got the skills, the talent, but we need to play as a cohesive unit. Y/n, you’re our linchpin. The team looks up to you, and we need your best performance out there.”
Her eyes bore into you, emphasizing the crucial role you played in the team’s destiny. Natasha delved into the intricacies of the revised strategy, urging the players to synchronize their movements and capitalize on their strengths. The locker room echoed with the intensity of Natasha’s words, each one a call to action.
You, absorbing Natasha’s gaze, felt the weight of responsibility but also a surge of determination. This was the moment to prove yourself, not just as an individual player but as the catalyst for the team’s resurgence. Natasha’s demanding coaching style became a beacon of inspiration rather than an obstacle, pushing the team to elevate their game.
As Natasha continued to outline the strategy, her eyes never wavered from you. It was as if she could see the potential waiting to be unleashed. The halftime break ended, and the team, led by Natasha, returned to the court with a renewed sense of purpose. The second half unfolded with precision and determination and your team executed Natasha’s strategy flawlessly.
Under Natasha’s watchful eye, you showcased her your exceptional skills with a fierce determination. Every move was calculated, every shot purposeful. The team rallied around you, the synergy evident in their coordinated efforts. The scoreboard gradually shifted in their favor, the gap closing with each passing minute.
Feeling the weight of Natasha's expectations, you drove towards the basket with a newfound determination. The opponents, sensing the shift in momentum, intensified their defense. Yet, you maneuvered skillfully, executing a flawless layup that brought the crowd to their feet. A quick glance towards Natasha revealed a subtle nod of approval, a silent acknowledgment of the pivotal play.
However, the game was far from over. The opponents retaliated, scoring a basket that widened the gap. Natasha's stern expression betrayed a momentary tension – a coach acutely aware of the precarious situation. Her jaw tightened, and the lines on her forehead deepened as she contemplated the next move.
Gathering the team during a timeout, Natasha's voice cut through the air, firm and resolute. "We're running out of time, but we don't back down. Tighten your defense, trust the plays. Y/n, lead the charge. We're not letting them dictate this game."
Fueled by Natasha's unwavering belief you rallied the team. The court became a battleground, each possession a testament to their resilience. Natasha, though stoic, radiated a fierce determination that reverberated through the team.
In the closing minutes, you orchestrated a series of plays that saw the scoreboard narrowing the gap. Natasha, on the sidelines, displayed a subtle shift in demeanor – a mixture of anticipation and confidence. With seconds ticking away, you seized the moment, sinking a game-changing shot that tied the score.
The crowd erupted, and Natasha, unable to contain her pride, allowed a rare smile to grace her features. The final buzzer echoed, signaling a dramatic turnaround. As the team celebrated their hard-fought victory.
———
Natasha approached you with a subtle yet undeniable glint in her eyes, a mix of pride and something more enigmatic. The post-game euphoria lingered in the air, creating a charged atmosphere between coach and player.
"Y/n, that was an exceptional performance out there," Natasha commended, her voice carrying a rare warmth. "You truly stepped up when the team needed it the most."
Natasha's hand brushed against your shoulder, a subtle yet deliberate touch that sent shivers down your spine. With a glance towards her office, Natasha extended an invitation. "Why don't we discuss the game in more detail?“ You were too naive to understand her real intuition, so you just agreed. She is your coach after all, so what could go wrong?
As the two of you enter her office, Natasha walks ahead and you close the door behind you. She leaned against her desk, her gaze fixed on you with an intensity that surpassed the boundaries of a post-game analysis. The subtle hum of the air conditioner was drowned out by the unspoken tension between coach and player.
"Y/n," Natasha began, her voice a low murmur that seemed to draw you closer. "There's something about you on the court... a fire that's not easily extinguished. It's intriguing."
You, still caught in the afterglow of the victory, met Natasha's gaze with a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty. "Thank you, Coach. I just did what I thought was best for the team."
Natasha circled the desk, closing the distance between you both. "You did more than that. You showed a level of skill and determination that goes beyond the court. It’s rare."
The air in the room thickened as Natasha's fingers lightly traced the neckline of your jersey, a subtle yet deliberate touch that sent a shiver down your spine. Your heartbeat quickened, the unspoken tension taking a more palpable form.
"I see potential in you, not just as a player," Natasha whispered, her lips mere inches from your ear. "But as someone who understands the game beyond its rules."
Caught in the magnetic pull of Natasha's presence, you felt a swirl of emotions. Confusion, anticipation, and a hint of something more. Natasha's gaze bore into you, a silent invitation that transcended the boundaries of a typical coach-player relationship.
"C-Coach Romanoff," You began, the words catching in your throat as Natasha's proximity became more pronounced. "I'm not sure I understand..."
Natasha silenced you with a finger against your lips, her eyes locking onto theirs with a smoldering intensity. "Sometimes, Y/n, the best plays happen off the court," she murmured, her voice carrying a seductive undertone. "Let me show you a different kind of victory."
You look up at her innocently and she leans down to kiss you. As she continued, you felt her hand slide down to your pussy. She runs her hand over your panties and rubs her fingers further inside. She held onto your shoulders a little with her other hand so that you wouldn't squirm too much. “M-Mrs Romanoff, I don't think we-”
She continued until she could feel your wetness through your underwear, "It's pretty wet down here.." she whispers in your ear and now starts to knead your breast. She grabbed your nipple and twisted it between her fingers, her head still in your neck “Should I stop?” The action was already sending waves through your body and your body twitched, “I..D-Don’t know...." she twisted them more, "Do you want it or not? You decide.“
Her movements ran through your whole body. Even your fingers were starting to cramp, “Comon, Detka, Say 'please don’t stop'..” She let go of your nipple, but now pushed it into your breast and you twitched again. “p-please don’t stop! Do not stop.."
This turned Natasha more on. You give your complete control only to her. She smelled your neck and licked it, “Say 'I want you’. ” Your head was so covered that you didn't even know what you were actually saying, “I-I want you..”
Now she let go of you completely and you staggered briefly to find your feet and stand again. She took a step back and took off her leather jacket, “Good girl.”
She walks you back and pushes you against her desk. She holds your waist, lifts you up and sits you on her table. She stands between your legs and her hands caress your soft thighs.
She kisses you again, moving her hands further up. She grabs your ass, pulls you a little closer and lets her cock rub against you. You moan into her mouth and pull away. You put your hands behind you and brace yourself on her desk. She continues to rub herself against you, her eyes scanning your body. She moans and pulls away, quickly pulling your panties to the side. She kisses you as she slides her finger into your pussy.
Your eyes close as she begins to slowly pump her fingers in and out of you. You gasp as she curled a finger inside you. But then she lifts you off her desk, turns you around, and presses your chest flat against the desk. She spreads your legs, bends down and presses her chest onto your back.
There was a slight rustle as Natasha opened a packet of condoms and slipped it over her member and then she pressed herself against you, cursing and cursing under her breath. You let out a breathy moan at the penetration, pushing yourself back onto hers. "God, you're so tight..." Natasha hissed as she was fully inside your vagina.
She didn't start gently and wait for you to get used to it, she immediately started hitting you roughly. Within moments you were moaning and panting wantonly, your body almost melting into the table. “Mrs R-Romanoff!”
She moaned in agreement, your knuckles already white from gripping the edge of the desk so tightly. Natasha began rocking you, first with small, hard thrusts, then longer and deeper. She changed positions a few times until she managed to hit your perfect spot, causing stars to appear in your vision.
The desk creaked and rocked under the force of her thrusts, and you were sure someone could probably hear the rhythmic tapping of the desk, but that only added to the whole excitement. “That’s it, make some pretty noises for me.” The dark sound of her voice echoed through your body, sending your racing brain into hyperdrive.
Every time her hips slammed into you, you felt white, hot ecstasy pouring from your core and coursing through your entire being. You couldn’t stop the moans and whimpers that fell from your lips, no matter how much you wanted them to.
“Such a good fuck toy,” she purred, burying a hand in your hair and tugging painfully. “Taking my cock so good.” Suddenly and violently, she jerked your head up so that her lips touched your ear. "Since you've had so much practice lately, I’ll give you a little reward.”
You arch your back and scream, "F-Fuck!" felt a lot of joy and couldn't hold back your salivation any longer. She stares contentedly at your drooling face, knowing that she is the only one who has the privilege of fucking you senseless. “Fuck yes, baby, cum for me. Cum on that damn cock!” she grits her teeth as she penetrates you. She feels your tight little hole begin to twitch around her and doesn't let up, feeling you buck your hips against her. “I think I c-can’t, I can’t...”
“Yes you fucking can, baby, let go..Lose control for me..” She pumps into you faster, getting dangerously closer to her own release. “You can do it, baby, just fucking let go!”She throws her head back and rubs circles on your clit with her thumb as she relentlessly drills your pussy. “Fuck yes!!”
“I-I’m coming-“She grabbed your neck and pulled your face towards hers. She brutally claims your pretty little mouth, swallowing your screams as you cum hard on her cock.

You don't like Wenclair? Absolutely OK, that's all very well, but to call it forced is just a big mistake and I will explain why (the artist of the fan art on Percy and Annabeth is Sethkiel, Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram) + Percy Jackson spoilers about his romantic relationship in the books
Tumblr media
Enid is in effect an ideal choice as a partner for Wednesday Addams not only because of their obvious character complementarity, but also because of the positive impact a relationship based on their dynamic could have on both personalities.
Various psychological and social studies support the idea that interpersonal relationships based on complementarity and mutual acceptance are more likely to be healthy and long-lasting. Wednesday, with her introverted, cynical and distant character, is balanced by Enid, who stands out for her emotional openness, empathy and desire to connect with others.
This polarity creates a synergy that not only enriches their friendship but could serve as the basis for a meaningful romantic relationship.
One of the key components is the unconditional support Enid offers Wednesday. According to research on the psychology of relationships, emotional support is one of the strongest indicators of relationship satisfaction.
Enid, despite the difficulties Wednesday poses to her, constantly stands by her side, demonstrating a patience and understanding that goes beyond mere friendship.
This type of dynamic is consistent with the findings of Feeney and Collins (2015), who highlight how relationships characterised by a partner who serves as a ‘secure base’ improve resilience and psychological well-being for both parties. For Wednesday, who often shows difficulties in trusting others and expressing her emotions, having a figure like Enid beside her could help her explore deeper aspects of her emotional identity.
Moreover, Enid represents a form of positivity and optimism that counterbalances Wednesday's cynicism. This counterbalance, far from being a hindrance, proves beneficial. Studies conducted by Gable et al. (2006) suggest that relationships in which one partner promotes positive emotions and encourages the other to experience joy and pleasure have a positive impact not only on individual well-being, but also on couple cohesion. Enid's ability to celebrate life's simple moments and accept Wednesday as it is can offer her a safe space in which to lower her defences without feeling judged.
Tumblr media
The chance of a queer relationship between Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair is not only coherent with the long history of the Addams Family, but also represents a natural evolution of Wednesday's character.
The Addams Family, since its creation, has been a symbol of rebellion against social norms and celebration of difference.
Charles Addams conceived the family as a parody of traditional American families, overturning their conventional values.
While middle-class American families aspired to normality, the Addams family found pride and beauty in their eccentricity. This attitude made the family an icon for anyone who felt marginalized or different, including queer communities. Their gothic aesthetic, black humour and unqualified acceptance of all forms of strangeness made them symbols of inclusivity, even if this theme was rarely made explicit directly.
Wednesday Addams, in particular, embodies this challenge to social projections. From her earliest appearances, she has been portrayed as an intelligent, sarcastic and deeply independent outsider who rejects imposed social norms. In the films of the 1990s, this nature is clearly expressed: Wednesday, despite being young, is perfectly aware of her identity and interests, refusing any attempt to force her to conform.
An emblematic example is her relationship with Joel Glicker in The Addams Family 2.
Joel, an insecure and nerdy boy, becomes an ally and romantic interest, but the relationship is clearly devoid of the traditional dynamics of teenage romance.
Tumblr media
Wednesday shows interest, but expresses it in his own way, with humour and detachment. This episode shows that Wednesday is not ‘immune’ to romance, but lives it according to her own rules.
In the Netflix series Wednesday, the dynamic with Enid Sinclair adds an even greater level of complexity. Enid, with her sunny disposition and expansive nature, is the perfect counterbalance to Wednesday's coldness.
Their relationship is built on a foundation of trust, emotional intimacy and mutual support that far surpasses any other connection Wednesday develops in the series, including those with her male romantic interests, Tyler and Xavier. Psychological studies, such as that of Aron et al. (1997) on interpersonal intimacy, show that the strongest relationships are often based on complementary differences. Wednesday and Enid embody this complementarity: the dark and the light, the rational and the emotional, detachment and empathy.
This kind of dynamic is often the basis of the most memorable romantic relationships in fiction, and it would be only natural for their bond to evolve into something more.
The criticism that a queer relationship between Wednesday and Enid would be a ‘stretch’ often masks prejudices about queer inclusivity. Interestingly, audiences unreservedly accept heterosexual romance in contexts that do not always align perfectly with the characters' personalities.
For instance, in the 1990s films, no one criticised the fact that Wednesday, a deeply cynical and aloof girl, had a romantic moment with Joel. Similarly, in the Netflix series, her interactions with Tyler and Xavier are accepted without particular objection, despite the fact that Wednesday shows very little genuine interest in either of them.
This demonstrates a double standard: heterosexual romance is perceived as ‘natural’ and acceptable, while queer romance must be justified or considered as extraordinary.
Queer representation in the media, as studies by GLAAD (2022) show, is crucial in normalising these relationships and offering positive role models for those who identify outside traditional norms. The relationship between Wednesday and Enid would not only be consistent with the characters, but also an important step towards greater inclusivity. Furthermore, the argument that Wednesday ‘is not made for romance’ is easily disproved by her narrative history. She has never been a traditionally romantic character, but that does not mean she cannot develop genuine and deep connections.
Her emotional openness towards Enid in the series is a clear sign of personal growth and openness towards meaningful relationships.
Tumblr media
Finally, it is important to point out that many of the most famous romantic relationships in fiction were born out of deep friendships. From Harry Potter (Ron and Hermione) to Friends (Ross and Rachel), the transition from friendship to romance is a widely accepted narrative trope, especially when it involves heterosexual couples. It is hypocritical to consider it a stretch only in the case of queer relationships. In the case of Wednesday and Enid, their emotional intimacy and mutual support lay a solid foundation for a romantic relationship that would not only be consistent with the Addams Family's history, but would also represent a natural evolution of Wednesday's character, keeping her rebellious and non-conformist essence intact.
Let's take a concrete example to show that the basis of the Wenclair ship is valid?
Percy Jackson.
The relationship between Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase is built in a gradual way and represents a story arc that starts with friendship and grows into romance, making it a perfect example to show that it is not ‘forced’ when a close bond turns into love.
Tumblr media
The saga of Percy Jackson and the Gods of Olympus offers an excellent example of how a friendship can develop naturally into a romantic relationship. The dynamic between Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase develops gradually, reflecting a relationship-building model that emphasises mutual growth, respect and trust. Initially, Percy and Annabeth meet in the context of Camp Half-Blood, where significant differences in their characters emerge. Annabeth, rational and strategic, tends to see Percy as an unprepared novice, while Percy perceives Annabeth as distant and authoritarian. Nevertheless, their shared adventures lead to a mutual respect that becomes the basis for a solid friendship.
In later books, such as The Sea of Monsters and The Titan's Curse, their relationship deepens through moments of vulnerability and emotional connection. Annabeth shares with Percy her ambitions and fears, such as the dream of building something lasting or the burden of her loyalty to the gods. Percy, for his part, shows a growing sense of protection towards Annabeth, being willing to risk his life to save her on several occasions. These episodes mark a gradual evolution of their relationship, but without ever abandoning the friendly core that sustains it.
The turning point occurs in the fourth book of the saga, The Battle of the Labyrinth, when Percy begins to acknowledge his romantic feelings for Annabeth. However, the transition does not happen abruptly; both characters, being still teenagers, navigate uncertainly between friendship and love, making their relational development realistic and free of narrative forcing. In later books, such as The Final Clash and especially in the Heroes of Olympus series, Percy and Annabeth consolidate their romantic relationship without ever losing the bond of friendship that characterises them. This balance is particularly evident in The House of Hades, where their mutual support, even in extreme situations, underlines the depth of their bond.
The transition between friendship and love in the case of Percy and Annabeth is an example of a well-constructed narrative, reflecting real dynamics also highlighted by psychological studies. According to Kaplan and Keys (1997), many successful romantic relationships develop from pre-existing friendships due to the presence of trust and emotional intimacy as solid foundations. Moreover, this dynamic is widely accepted by the public, as it reflects common human experiences. The story of Percy and Annabeth demonstrates that the transition from friendship to romance can be organic and believable, especially when constructed with attention to the emotional aspects of the characters.
Applying this perspective to the case of Wednesday and Enid, it becomes clear that such a transition would not be ‘forced’, as is often claimed by some critics. The two girls share a relationship that is based on complementarity and mutual growth: Wednesday is cynical and reserved, while Enid is expansive and empathetic, and together they create a balance similar to that between Percy and Annabeth.
To ignore this possibility is to operate a double standard, considering acceptable for heterosexual couples a dynamic that is labelled as unnatural or artificial in the case of a queer couple. The representation of Wednesday and Enid in a romantic relationship would not only be consistent with traditional narrative dynamics, but could also contribute to greater inclusivity and a richer, more nuanced representation of relationships in pop culture.

LOVE; INSPIRING ART
Mingi and Himari steal hearts by appearing together during Fashion Week
Tumblr media
March 12, 2025 (3:07PM)
Korea was most certainly represented during the most important even in the fashion industry through talented music artists, however members of a certain group seemed to attract heavier amounts of attention for their overwhelming visuals and magnetic auras. Ateez achieved further popularity in western countries following this highly documented week as six idols attended shows in both countries, with their youngest being an ambassador for three highly regarded houses and desired by many more.
Off-White received much coverage from netizens through its invitation of the industry's soulmate couple, who seemed to hypnotize attendees the most as they found themselves unable to tear their attention from the lovers. Designers had preciously spoken about the visual synergy created through their notable contrast, making them mesmerizing; with Mingi appearing slightly more intimidating due to strong features whilst many have come to describe his girlfriend using terms such as 'doll-like', the rapper himself using the word 'angel', in reference to the delicate details of her appearance.
Interactions between them made it one of the most highly watched streams as the rapper remained visibly protective over the vocalist throughout the event, with an arm constantly wrapped around her waist which occasionally tightened whenever someone happened to walk past too closely for his liking , despite her lack of awareness. Himari on the other hand refused numerous interviews apologetically with the explanation that her boyfriend was the one personally flown in by the brand and she was simply there at his own request, insisting that they focus on interacting with him instead. Mingi rapidly dismissed this sudden bashfulness through a very public display when being photographed prior to the beginning of the show, patting his thigh once to entice the young woman over as he sat in the front row, the raised eyebrow over dark eyes leaving no room for questions.
It was noted by people who had seen them prior to entering the venue that they were wearing the matching rings that many had believed to be a sign of their engagement, this time on the fourth finger of their left hands - raising some questions. The lovers were seen being much more bright around one another lately and whilst they have spoken out on the fact that they will likely not get married in the near future due to group activities, some have begun to ask whether their opinions recently changed.
Yves Saint Laurent seemed to have perpetuated the theme of love constantly surrounding the maknae these past weeks by seating fellow ambassador Cha Eunwoo next to her after the older idol had made allusions to them having been in a romantic relationship earlier in their careers a few days prior. The entire '97 liners friend group have been open about their friendship with Himari yet according to netizens, something seemed different about the two of them as they spoke to one another with a sense of comfort not usually found with the others.
Regardless of whether the rumors surrounding both couples are true designers and fans alike were all more than overjoyed at the mere attendance of the vocalist, while other houses continue to hope their invitation will one day be accepted. Remember to keep streaming 'Sungyo' and watch the behind the scenes of 'Drama' by G-Dragon (featuring Himari) to witness her artistry in motion.

house md rewatch: 2x05, "daddy's boy"
Tumblr media
motorcycles, lying, daddy issues, and gay people.
i'd completely forgotten that house's parents much such an early appearance! i spend too much time revisiting 5x04, i guess. overall, i enjoyed this one for the intrigue it built toward information about house's parents (which we expertly get so little of) and for a very definitive glimpse into house and wilson, the season 2 version. but like i said above, i can't believe how sidelined the patient and his father are in this one; the kid dies! for house's character development, of course.
i'm gonna break form and talk about house and wilson first (the gay people in question) because we get motorcycles, dinner dates, and evil little games all in one (which tie back to the larger theme i'll get to). look at their color synergy!
Tumblr media
let's bullet point this part of my recap. and pretend for now that the loan was necessary for house to acquire the motorcycle:
wilson loaned house $5k. this already seems like an exceptionally stupid decision, yet later on, he reveals that he never even expected to get it back. point 1 for needing neediness.
house md unique symbolic use of vehicles (and the hilson roadtrip motif) is very apparent and interesting here. by driving a motorcycle, house is both subverting ableist expectations and experiencing freedom. but, here, that freedom is contingent on wilson's loan, which complicates things.
in the distant, microscopic background of this episode, wilson's marriage is collapsing: "you'd rather have dinner with your wife?" "yes, i would...if she were speaking to me." "unlike her, i can make it worth your while." "fine." push comes to shove, the other shoe drops, etc. in a few episodes, but this is another example of wilson flocking to house (the reliable trainwreck) when he needs A Fix.
in conclusion, this loan/dinner arrangement (a total farce, btw) is associating freedom with a necessary breaking of heteronormativity. for wilson, marriage is excessively transactional, yet this exchange with house is a net-negative for him on all superficial accounts. as we'll find later, they're actual equals in how they've been lying to each other.
i like how they represent this equality visually, too, house with the fruits of the $5k loan and wilson with the vestige of house's mobility:
Tumblr media
LATER, all of this meta becomes somewhat undone when we learn that the only reason why house really wanted to go to dinner was to avoid his parents, that he didn't need the $5k loan and was only testing wilson's attachment to him, and that wilson lies to house just as much as the inverse. i adore this scene, you guys.
Tumblr media
i think it's natural for audiences to assume, at first, that wilson would be hurt by the fact that the $5k loan wasn't necessary, but his real takeaway is way funnier and more deranged than that: "you're trying to objectively measure how much i value our friendship?" (my notes say "here we go" after that line). wilson is more so fascinated by house's motives, and we, the viewers, get an inside look into how these 2 operate: it's always a game.
the way they dissect this game is what sets this conversation apart from the remainder of the episode, as well as the show's longstanding theme of lying. house confesses to the lie; wilson reveals that he only cares because he wants to know more about house and his family; house acknowledges that, had wilson just left well enough alone, they both would have stayed happy. this is quite exactly how one would describe a "typical" (cynical) marriage; lying so the other one isn't harmed or inconvenienced. this realization hits wilson like a ton of bricks:
Tumblr media
this is where i'll circle back to the episode at large. the transparency between wilson and house is what the other characters cannot figure out; only wilson seems aware of the novelty of their arrangement here. 2x05 asks the following questions about it's central theme of "lying":
can we love the people we lie to?
if the truth is hurtful, should we say it to our loved ones?
what should remain unspoken between loved ones?
can we love unconditionally?
because it's house md, we don't get a singular answer, just myriad versions of potential answers. the patient, carnell hall, and his father, ken hall, seem incapable of telling one another the truth unless certain death hangs over their heads. as the episode continues, it gets increasingly difficult to stand their lies, but when it's revealed that a gift ken gave carnell is what's killing him (a radioactive piece of metal from ken's scrapyard), there's no doubting the love between them:
Tumblr media
ken bold-face lies to carnell that he'll be okay, but nobody could ever doubt this decision in good conscience. so sure, we can love those we lie to, but does this imply that ken and carnell needed conditions to love?
we can look to house and his parents for the opposite scenario (and, for argument's sake, i'm only working with the info we get from 2x05 regarding john house). earlier, house claimed that parents "lie to us because they love us" in the pejorative. while ken and carnell avoid each other, john and blythe house are dead-set on visiting house before they leave on their trip. they don't afford him any privacy, invade the precious environment that is PPTH, and something really nasty gets said along the way:
"last i checked, you still have 2 legs. you know what you're problem is, greg? you just don't know how lucky you are."
thanks, john (what's up with dads named john being the worst @ supernatural?)
Tumblr media
john is unabashedly honest with house (not that what he's saying is true; they are just his honest feelings) and nothing good comes of this. it's hard to imagine that john loves his son, especially not with the way he looks down his nose at him, and seems so repulsed by his son using a cane. after the entire episode insists that house endures his parents company for just a little while, 2x05 abruptly recants - maybe it's not worth the truth; maybe the truth isn't kind, and ought to have been concealed. maybe we need some conditions to love here.
i'm gonna give wilson some flowers here - i think he makes up the murky grey area between these 2 extremes in 2x05. house deeply values transparency in most cases, but not all. he understandably would have preferred his dad to keep that ableist remark to himself. in that moment, unconditional love would have sufficed. someone who loves unconditionally would not have felt so compelled to drop that bomb. someone who loves unconditionally wouldn't even feel the need to lie like ken hall. they would live and let live. they would lie about the superficial and cherish the deeper parts.
i offer, again, house handing wilson his cane:
Tumblr media
but what really drives home this point about wilson for me is he and cameron's subplot in 2x05. when they figure out why house wants to go to dinner with wilson so badly, they concoct a scheme to force house and his parents together, along with the chance to tag along and do some psychoanalysis.
Tumblr media
however! when cameron realizes the delicacy of the situation between house and his parents, she, too, recants. she forgoes her chance to get an inside look at house and "how he got this way." she decides to not answer the first and second questions i posited earlier. she errs on the side of the unconditional. however house got "that way" is not necessarily her business.
Tumblr media
and this is exactly why she's rewarded with information from him.
Tumblr media
"thank you for not eating...my dad's just like you. not the caring till your eyes pop out part. just the insane moral compass that won't let you lie to anybody about anything."
in house's purview, cameron may just stand in the true middle of honesty and lying when it comes to someone's capacity to love. she can care enough to back up the demands of her moral compass. this doesn't make it sustainable, however, and i think this is one of the main reasons house and cameron remain so incompatible. she seems confused by the remark, touched and a little bit haunted, because part of the comment is a compliment, while the other, the association with john house, certainly is not.
Tumblr media
it helps, then, that wilson is house's broken moral compass that only points correctly a few times in a year (i think i left an identical comment in the tags of one of my recaps).
my final comment is totally separate from the other parts of the episode. i just have to mention that chase telling ken hall that carnell isn't going to make it is the second time i've cried this rewatch...and the first was when chase hugged his dad, rowan, back in 1x13. idk what they put in this blonde australian doctor but it's certainly working on me. it's certainly significant that the son with deceased father (chase) is the one to tell a current father that his son is soon to be deceased, especially since their relationship is on the rocks.

Note
(Overslept and missed the event :(, still going to write this in hopes it gets put in a backlog)
I really liked the “Yandere! Nami + Luffy with Darling resisting”, if I remember correctly in that prompt the rest of the Strawhats were also yandere, so I propose Yandere! Nico Robin + Chopper with Darling resisting. Robin has already lost one family and I think it would be interesting to see how she would react to a member of her new family trying to run away from them. Chopper because he’s as innocent and childish as luffy but with more impulse control and has pretty good synergy with robin (and I guess access to medicines to keep the Darling sedated).
Sure! Robin's part is general, but Chopper's STRICTLY platonic in this. For obvious reasons, of course.
Luffy + Nami with this scenario
Yandere! Nico Robin + Chopper with Darling Resisting
Pairing: Romantic (Robin)/Platonic (Robin, Chopper)
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Delusional behavior, Overprotective behavior, Isolation, Drugging, Kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, Forced companionship.
Tumblr media
Nico Robin
Robin would probably try to be understanding.
She doesn't like what you're doing, but you have to be scared about something.
Robin is another member who views her crew as family.
The Straw Hats took her in when she had lost everything.
They saved her after defeating Crocodile.
For that, she'll never part from them.
She'll do anything for them.
Robin is welcoming when Luffy first brings you on board.
She's always been rather motherly to the crew and I imagine she'd want to be like that with you.
Or perhaps even romantic if she's obsessed enough.
Robin wouldn't understand why you aren't enjoying your time here with the Straw Hats.
Was it not what you thought it to be like?
It's like she isn't aware of the fact Luffy dragged you into his crew.
Her captain can be rather persistent with getting crew members.
Yet she probably doesn't suspect that he'd kidnap you until she sees your behavior.
Robin might be hurt if you aren't trying to connect with the crew.
Are you nervous? It's alright to be scared...
But Robin tries to reassure you the crew would never hurt you.
If anything, the crew is excited to meet you and see what you can do.
In a way I can see her as delusional.
Even when there's evidence you've been kidnapped into the crew, even when she knows about it...
She acts like nothing's wrong.
She wants you to be happy here.
Surely you'll see the Straw Hats can be a great family to you.
She can be great for you....
Robin may be both welcoming and disciplinary towards you.
She'll try to be understanding of your situation... yet also discipline you if you try to leave.
There's no leaving the Straw Hats for you.
She'd keep an eye on your behavior to see if you're trying to escape when they land on another island.
Honestly, she and Zoro tend to be the ones to have that disciplinary role.
Her Devil Fruit would help with that.
If you tried to run off the Sunny, she'd use an extra limb to grab the back of your shirt and hang you there.
She sees you as family...
While you might not see her the same way, she'll be patient.
Luffy trusts you'll be good for the crew, that you're a perfect addition to their family.
Robin's willing to help him get used to them if you won't do it on your own.
She understands you miss your home.
But she wants to make this your new home.
She's patient with you, even if it means keeping you in the ship with a limb hanging you from the wall so you can't move.
Eventually you'll realize this is your new home, right?
You'll be a great Straw Hat if you just get used to them.
Once the Stockholm Syndrome kicks in, she'll give you much more affection.
When you finally accept that you're part of their family, that you see her as family?
She hugs you tightly, praising you as she nuzzles into your hair.
Or if she loves you romantically, she'll pepper you in kisses and never leave your side.
Robin will be patient with the newest member of her family...
Even if she has to help with breaking them.
Chopper
Chopper is much more innocent with the entire thing.
He's childish and sees the Straw Hats as family too.
When Luffy brings you onto the crew, he no doubt sees you as a new playmate.
It's really hard to be upset at Chopper.
He doesn't understand your predicament much.
He's the crew's doctor who always wants to help and wants to view you as part of his family.
Yet you always push him away and resist what he does for you?
Naturally, as a doctor, Chopper checks in on you often in your quarters.
He peeks through the door to watch you and often wants to see your health.
He also wants to play... although when he often tries to, you push him away.
You aren't necessarily upset with him specifically.
You're more upset at Luffy and the rest rather than the young reindeer.
Nevertheless, Chopper still thinks you hate him.
Chopper's probably one of the only ones who can win you over.
He does it so much faster than the others.
If you snap at him or push him away, I can see him crying about it.
Which immediately makes you feel horrible despite your predicament.
You end up giving him affection faster than the others, mostly because now you feel you have to comfort the sobbing reindeer.
He may also be using this to his advantage.
Chopper tries to get you used to being part of the Straw Hats.
He sits around with you, offering books and even asking Sanji to make you a nutritional meal in hopes he can win your favor.
He's adorable... even though he's just as bad as the others for allowing you to be kidnapped.
Now in terms of what you said about drugging, I can definitely see it.
He wouldn't do it often, but if you were trying to escape he may slip something to you.
He'd feel so guilty about it though since he's such a kind soul.
He'd lie and say you're just coming down with something... then he'd lay you in bed to watch over you as his doctor.
He no doubt understands what he's doing is wrong... and hates it....
Yet at the same time, he doesn't want to give you up.
You get along with him the most out of everyone and he has so much fun playing with you.
You may not play with him, Usopp, and Luffy yet... but you will eventually, right?
He tries to be encouraging despite knowing what he and the crew are doing to you.
He's affectionate, even when he realizes he's helping you into Stockholm Syndrome.
Afterwards you're playing and cuddling though...
So... can he really be all that upset now?
He promises he'll take care of you, he's the doctor after all...
He just hopes you'll forgive him and the others for what they've done.
Together
Since you mentioned their synergy, there's an idea I want to explore.
Chopper definitely feels the most guilty out of all the Straw Hats.
I can see him going to Robin and admitting how he feels to her.
He feels bad for taking you from your island, for breaking you mentally.
Is it right for them to force their care onto you when you don't want it?
Robin probably comforts Chopper, trying to tell him that you'll forgive them.
They just want to give you a family, after all.
With them, you'll experience adventure and be cared for....
Robin tells Chopper you'll get used to this and be happy.
Essentially, she encourages him.
Chopper may still be hesitant, but Robin's words help him.
Yes... You should be much better off with them...
They just need to wait until you see that.

WHY do comics seem so vulnerable to Endless Regurgitation of the Same Ideas, to the inmates running the asylum, to old shit being remixed forever?
Even taking into account that you're writing new stuff for 60 year old properties, surely we shouldn't have the biggest things also be the least new?
My reaction to this one is going to be somewhat truthy, apocryphal, and prone to just-so-ism, but the narrative that best tickles my fancy is that it's some combination of:
What TVTropes terms the Fleeting Demographic Rule: Comic books were, for a long time, written under the basically correct assumption that plots could be recycled wholesale after a few years because the readership would have aged out and wouldn't be aware of the internal plagiarism. Doing this on purpose was I think most provably a Silver Age thing, but the other side of this is that on a long enough timeframe the writers age out, reproducing older plot beats because they simply weren't aware that someone already did this, or because the devices that were useful for stage-setting and status-quo tweaks back then are still useful enough for the same reasons now that the new writers arrive at the same solutions. Civil War was arguably an example of this- there'd been a couple registration plotlines already about a decade prior that just.... weren't mentioned as precedent or anything. I genuinely think recordkeeping and internal communication is bad enough that they sometimes recreate obvious story ideas by accident.
The insularity, impenetrability, and onetime critical marginalization of comic books as a medium (long since over) created selection pressures for people who were extremely invested fans to become creators, and from there they either started relitigating their childhoods (Cynical) or they started rooting around in the archives for one-off golden-age plot beats they thought hadn't been juiced for their full potential. Obviously I'm a big fan of the latter; Morrison basically built their career on doing that. But there are obvious failure states to overdoing this.
Ultimately the real problem is that they have to keep publishing these things nonstop, and constant compulsory serialization is no character's friend; if the writers have to constantly come up with new ideas while planning years in advance and coordinating with the other writers and attempting movie synergy And And And... no shit they're gonna take shortcuts. I think we have about as many high quality Superman Stories as we would if Superman were an obscure D-list property farmed out to IDW or Dynamite or one of the other tie-in mills, with someone invested pitching a decent idea for a mini every few years or so. But of course there are many, many more Superman stories than that. And there always will be
