For the last month or so I’ve been combing through old Taylor interviews and ended up creating an archive of them. Since it’s finished, I figured I’d share this resource with everyone else!

what's so clever about Clara Bow is that when she references her own name at the end, she's not talking about the present but the future, quoting the inevitable way people are going to one day talk about her, imagining it will only be in regards to the woma(e)n who surpass her. because there will be someone who surpasses her, eventually. that's the cycle of fame, isn't it? we're simultaneously captivated by the alluring trick of the past while looking for the next big thing. we compare current stars to the lights that shined before them, "you look like taylor swift." but we're also constantly waiting for someone new and greater to take the crown and captivate us anew, "you've got edge she never did." And half the song is about acknowledging that being revered is hell on earth for the people who are in it, because you're always trapped between what came before and what will come after. you're only safe insofar as you remain shiny. But the real beauty of the song is that it never succumbs to this dichotomy, but embraces it. It's Taylor acknowledging she wouldn't be who she is were it not for the women who came before her, who shared the same dreams, and recognizing her place in the chain of the women who will come after. The future's bright, dazzling.

the cw sniper is caught, the reveal is livestreamed behind a 10$ pay per view wall on twitch. the mask gets ripped off revealing none other than jared padalecki who grits out, "you fags will never live up to sastiel!" he gets mind exploded by taylor swift singing the gay anthem

It’s really interesting to think about how when Taylor filters her experiences and emotions through characters, she and her songwriting are praised, but when she writes about herself and her experiences and doesn’t funnel them into a character she’s seen as over emotional, self-victimizing and whiny.

I think the fact that she changed the name of the Doc from “is it cool that I said all that” to “Miss Americana” is honestly so deeply sad.

If we are correct , that the original point of the Doc was something else entirely, then changing it to the title of the all American girl is devastating.

January 9, 2024 - It looks like Taylor Swift may have caused Supernatural to trend.

It is the year of our Lord Godstiel 2024 and yet Supernatural is trending alongside Taylor Swift and Misha Collins.

Whilst the trend may just be the universe recalibrating itself, it looks like it may have started with Taylor Swift. Apparently there've been some discussions about what would happen if Taylor Swift came out as straight [x] [x], though don't quote me on that, as I'm not up-to-date on the Taylor Swift news. She was however trending earlier today with Misha Collins as a secondary tag [x].

This may have then brought back the memories of Misha Collins' coming out as straight back in 2022 [x] [x]. The posts gained some traction, and alsongside some general spn posting and the news of Our Flag Means Death cancellation announced through the destiel meme [x] [x], this appears to have impacted the trend. In addition, some people have been commenting on Jensen's apparent hopes for a Supernatural reboot which definitely helped boost the tag [x] (no announcements here, just discussions, but maybe one day).

However, this is mostly a theory and sadly, I do not have a ✨straight✨ answer today.
