Ford is convinced Stan cheated his way into West Coast Tech so they won't get seperated. Ford doesn’t apply to West Coast Tech out of spite. And he's definitely not believing Stan's ridiculous time travel explanation for a second.

Ford becomes obsessed with proving that Stan’s a fraud instead.

At least they’re still talking. Even if talking means listening to Ford finding flaws in the newest paper Stan was forced to write.

SO happy I’m taking a couple gap years bc I get to pursue all the things I wanted to pursue as a kid and I will go into med school so satisfied

#And it’s all sprucing up my app so it all adds up and everything is sunny and beautiful #And it’s making me all the more excited for med school and giving me such a solid window to abs ace the mcat #I feel like talking ab this too much is a jinx but having no responsibilities aside from studying and working on self development has been #Such a privilege even tho I’m tech still grinding #Like it’s different bc I’m grinding on my own terms now wrt research and studying and clinical hrs and volunteering #There are overwhelming days bc I’m doing a lot but overall this has been good for me #I did also graduate one early tho so that gave me a lot more leeway

zane and kai bonded in the early seasons by discovering new music together. both didnt really have a great access to it growing up (there was an only an old radio or maybe a scratchy vinyl player in ignacia's library and zane's village had no electricity) so they mainly grew up hearing their respective villages' traditional live music. Hearing those 'end-of-2012-mashup' compilations changed both of their lives

#i loveee love love thinking about the implications of everyones backgrounds during the early seasons #cole grew up in the suburbs of ninjago city and also came from a rich (rich?? lou is rich right? hes famous?) family #so he came from the most privileged (in terms of wealth/location) background but not the most loving family #meanwhile jay had a very very close-knit family but he grew up poorer and more isolated in a desert but was still surrounded by technology #hashtag bring back jays country accent 2025 #both nya and kai and zane came from very rural areas (though zanes more rural if i can remember). ignacia had bamboo telephone poles #but you see little to no tech in the rest of the village so its safe to assume the little electricity they do have isn't the highest qualit #zanes village in my mind was a very tight community. It takes a village to raise a child yada yada. i think it was smaller than ignacia too #which adds to the everyone knows everyone aspect #theres also the factor that kai and nya seem?? quite separated from the rest of their village? their shop is on a hill fairly far from the #main community from what i remember in the pilots #i do think that when their parents first disappeared lots of village members stepped up to support them the best they could #but as kai and nya got older the help became less due to a mix of the two's own stubbornness and also the villagers deeming them old enough #with zane i imagine it to be an almost. Everyone's family kinda dynamic. people supporting people #but i loveee the added aspects of like. Different slang that everyone would use or music or clothes #im also just gonna guess that kai nya and zane didnt have access to like? videogames and stuff?#maybe kai and nya a little when their parents were around bc they cld afford it but like i said ignacia doesnt seem very high tech #so their first times playing would be with jay (who made his own little versions of gameboys and nintendos yada yada) and cole (who grew up #with a playstation)#theres also traditions and culture to think about!!!! the rural areas would probably have more conservative mindsets but also more #individual traditions. So it would be very interesting to see what kai nya zane picked up from their childhoods #and how it differs to jay and cole (mainly cole since he had the most 'typical' childhood)#URGHHH im going on such a rant but I DONT CARE. The age gap wasn’t so drastic between him and his brothers, but it sometimes felt that way, in the shadow of some of the best the command class had to offer. He’d learned quick though, as had she. He hopes she gets the life that all their brothers were never allowed to have. The life he never got.

I think he’d sometimes see his brothers in hers as well, though he’d try not to. Hunter and Cody, the steadfast leaders. Cody had found Rex, insisted he’d stay, protected him. He’d do anything for him and made sure Rex knew it too. Perhaps he sees a bit of Wolffe in Wrecker. Tough as nails, both of them look frightening, but are a lot softer than they seem once you get to know them. Not to mention the eye. Maybe he sees some Bly in Echo. Often the peacemaker, he also knew when to step back and let his brothers duke it out. His sense of duty was unmatched. In Tech, he’d see Ponds. People always assumed Ponds was the rational one for some odd reason. Sure, he had a good head on his shoulders, but more often than not he’d be leading the pack in whatever dumbassery they were attempting. He’d usually be the one bailing them out of it too. In Crosshair I think he’d see Fox. Blunt, sometimes harsh, and slow to trust, but clever and deeply loyal too—though that loyalty would be what Palpatine and the Empire would use to twist them into something almost unrecognizable.

honestly continually taken aback at how squeamish citizens get if you're honest about the practical calculus of immigrating, even the ones who think of themselves as pro-immigration! like why are you suddenly stumping for The Good Immigrant archetype bc i promise the immigration bureau is NOT going to fuck you!!!

1. How stupidly open Star Wars canon is.

2. An extremely stubborn form of optimism.

3. That red herrings only work if the real answer is more satisfying than the distraction, and the fact is that not only did we not get any answer AT ALL, but no one involved will actually straight up say it was a misdirect or what we were being misdirected from or even acknowledge there being any direction at all, meaning it was either the world’s most badly executed red herring, or it wasn’t a red herring at all/we just don’t have the actual answer yet.

4. The fact that Tech isn’t a real person, he’s an idea, meaning I don’t have to accept jack shit. Especially when canon has done so little to actually convince me he’s gone for good and it’s so markedly different than every other loss in the show.
