I think a lot less people would have misunderstood Papyrus as being ignorant/naive if his funny scenes weren't followed up by his brother taking a more serious tone to ask us to be nice to him. It frames Papyrus's shenanigans as less of a deliberate joke and more of a thing he simply can't help.

We know that Papyrus is not stupid, of course, so why does he act this way? Why does he act like Papyrus needs him to go behind his back?

(he says this in response to us saying papyrus isn't cool, but otherwise a funny thing to say cuz Papyrus uses a fair amount of sarcasm, which other characters don't seem to get he's doing, and if you don't get that someone is being sarcastic you might end up thinking they're stupid)

Maybe he's doing this "for" Papyrus because Papyrus pushes him to do stuff, so he feels like he needs to do something he can?

That said, weird how he expects us to also find it weird that Papyrus is being told flattery

it was really fun! i kinda wanna make him into a keychain ngl… my notes are below the cut!

i was kinda doubtful of whether or not i should use my old notes or make new ones, cause they’re so old a good small chunk of stuff on there just doesn’t apply to the final product. so instead i just cut them out into a million bajillion usable pieces :P

i don’t have much to say this time surprisingly. i think the notes just say it for me pretty well :)

i wanted to include references to some of the most important people in sanji’s life outside the straw hats to create a gentleman sailor’s ensemble! they’re all kinda subtle, but i think that fits the way sanji shows his affection for them and how they’ve shaped him as a person, in smaller less obvious ways.

i would’ve loved to include the full detail of the rings and play around with the clothes’ shapes, but it was a simple chibi so that’s ok! i’ll made a normal full body later!

Joel’s mainly in a sleeveless shrek fit, including ogre ear things, and a wears a golden ring because I see Lizzie as a fae so they both wear gold instead of silver.

Gem has the Gemini constellation on her ear, the tire earring that Joel also has(symbol of their team) bandana and tied up hair, the target to taunt red lives, and government mandated hearts.

Why doesn’t Joel have as many details in his design; I don’t fuckin know.

A short something from a potential Gabv1el fic that I will probably never fully write.

There's silence for a moment, or as close as the pair comes to it -- V1's fans drone quietly, barely audible but just enough noise for the lull in communication to not be called silence.

For a long moment, Gabriel doesn't look at the machine. He stares anywhere else, deliberately avoiding glancing its way, the same as he has avoided saying what's been on his mind.

V1 taps his shoulder, drawing his attention back to it and signing to him. It did have a way to speak, but it wasn't a proper voice box and therefore wasn't easy to do. The machine only signed his name, with a curious tilt of its head.

Gabriel figured he'd been staring into nothing for too long, but still didn't know what to say. He sighed as he collected his thoughts, listening to the echo of his own breath inside his helmet as he attempted to put his feelings in order.

"Machine.." He started, but trailed off, rephrasing internally before doing so out loud. "V1. Have I ever told you what it was like before?" Gabriel asked.

They both knew that he saw things much differently before V1 had given him a (rather forceful) perspective shift. Still, he'd never truly talked about it, so V1 shook its head.

Gabriel breathed for a moment before explaining, his voice quieter than usual as he spoke. "Everything was.. without effort. Each motion was a controlled expression of someone else's perceived will. It was dull." The angel says the last word as if it'd burned him, gold spilling over the edge of his wings.

But then the golden hue fades back into blue, darker and richer than the usual tone of his wings -- almost like V1's plating, but nearly edging into the territory of a more purple colour.

"You changed that."

Gabriel looks away for a moment, and V1 makes an inquisitive sound through its fans. Silently, it asks him to continue; easily, he does.

"You showed me what it was like to struggle, to bleed, to fail. In dragging me down from what I thought to be perfection, you've made me strive for something better. An expression of my own will. You've taught me frustration and pain just the same as you've shown me desire and ecstasy." Gabriel doesn't look back at the machine now, but he hears its fans whirr a little louder as he processes his own emotions fully.

When he does look back up, V1 can feel the weight of his gaze behind the helmet. It knows that his expression is something painfully open, and feels something akin to its heart ache with his honesty.

"You've shown me how to be alive."

there’s like a five page rant about this in the works but i was trying to figure out why uu!spoke’s arc felt so weirdly familiar and then i slapped together some clips idk if this like makes coherent sense but yeah. Spoke’s character in uu sort of reminds me of Spoke’s character in that one specific Planet lss5 video.

UU!spoke had exploits and pissed people off and ended up becoming enemy number 1 and then ended up alone with barely anyone willing to work with him and that’s why he go so invested in the mafia. cause it felt nice to be needed and be apart of a team and be trusted and not looked at like a villain and that sort of reminded me of how he teamed with Planet since the only lss5 member willing to trust him was Planet.

also he’s so insane for saying the exact same thing parrot said to him during the s4 finale. like down to the same repetition of the person’s name like wtf

like it’s not just similar in wording it’s identical. it’s GOTTA BE INTENTIONAL.

As previously mentioned in the wip post I have a fun little treebark centric httyd Au with Umbra !!

We both write and roleplay this au and I in particular play Ren so I got to design how he looks in this!! Enjoy some little bits and bobs about him / the au :D

Ren and Martyn are fairly young in this au! Rens 16 close to 17 and Martyn 16 at the start of the au !

Ren has a wooly howl named Winter and the both of them have been with each other since they were young! They both have neck scars from getting caught in the same trap

In this au Ren is the son of the chief of dogwarts and Martyn is the son of a infamous dragon trapper ! Ren finds an injured near dead Martyn in the woods and convinces his father to help him and the rest you’ll have to wait to find out :]
