Do they know each other? The monkies, I mean. Like, we know Tong Bi and Chikao know that they're siblings. And Macaque seems to at least know about their existence. I just need like, a clear explanation? Pls? 😭

Thinking about how Adam liked Gansey so much and enjoyed spending time with him SO much that he tramped around in the woods fruitlessly in search of magic he didn’t even believe in for EIGHTEEN months before anything supernatural even happened. Even though Ronan was actively hostile and jealous to him (which he’s described as “enduring” to be friends with Gansey 😭) and he was killing himself by working two jobs on top of school and never slept enough and hardly ever did anything for himself at all. Being friends with Gansey was the thing he chose for himself even though it made his other goals harder. Because he was so fond of him. Because he liked him and Gansey liked him back. Because Gansey is the first person to love him in a real way. My god.

i'm running late on getting this out, but i'm still reeling over the results of the @kirbyoctournament! i can't quite believe that starstruck- my pint sized waddle dee- made it all the way to the tippy-top against such intense competition. the roster was full of such an incredible selection of wonderful, loveable, and creative characters!

it's heart-warming to know that people out there really love my little wanya and her story, and i'll carry that with me always! 🥰💖

i am so grateful to everybody who voted for and supported starstruck (and i!) throughout the tournament, and i'd also like to give my thanks to everybody- moderators, participants, spectators- who made this community event as cool and fun as it was!! i met many new people and learned about so many wonderful new characters!

ava starr is a good listener because she feels more comfortable observing and lending an ear and just chilling and watching a person she loves talk about something they love or share what's bothering them and doesn't have much energy or desire to talk

bob reynolds is a good listener because he's trained himself to stay quiet to avoid conflict and make himself as unobtrusive as possible and lower the risk of aggravating anyone and he's convinced his own feelings don't matter so he will always hear anyone out

they are not the same.

however, when they are together, ava gives bob the space to open up with no pressure to be anyone but himself and she finds that bob has so much to say. she seeks out his company when her own thoughts are too much and she can't put them into words so instead she listens to her friend ramble and lets him distract her from everything occupying her own mind. and no, she doesn't mind reassuring him whenever he apologizes, telling him he isn't annoying, or too much, and no, she isn't bored, she loves hearing his voice. she does wish he wouldn't think so low of himself, but with time she notices he believes her more readily whenever she encourages him to keep going

if you were very shy and so attracted to jason that it came off as standoffish he would 100% read that as you being intimidated (true) by his scariness (not true, it's the tits). and because he can never leave well enough alone (and he feels defiant and a little offended -- it's not like he's ever done anything bad to you, anyway), he'd keep hanging around you and prodding at you, trying to make you uncomfortable with his unbearably close presence. and he'd be so annoyingly persistent about it (picking you out for group pairings, insisting on sitting next to you just to see you squirm) that he'd miss every little cue you'd give him and thus be completely blindsided when you reach your limit and instead of snapping at him to get away from you because he's an irredeemable creep who's not done a lick of good with the second life he's been given, you corner him with the most intense eye contact he's ever received which is saying a lot considering his dad's the batman and ask him if he's going to take responsibility for how horny he's been making you all this time or if he's finally ready to leave you alone

Final day y’all! I made it! To celebrate, today’s is @applestruda’s DTIYS, and also my first ever DTIYS! A sleepy pile of dear Boatem folks. No color, of course, because color is terrifying, and on paper, because I still cannot do digital art quickly for the life of my poor index finger. I’d like to think that this dog pile takes place after the events of Give me back my heart you wingless thing, mostly because they deserve it, and also because I only have my Horizons au designs to work with… Nevertheless, they’re having a good time and that’s the important part.

His Robin transformation also has black because of the influence of the Bat in his blood since he, like Duke, is the son of a Star and has some of the powers of said Star in his blood without needing a crystal for it.

Abilities:

Flight

Enhanced athletics

Enhanced healing

Colour Swirl: that charging light he looks about to spear you with is a colourful wave that bludgeons through enemies like a brick rain (tim can confirm)

Son of the Bat: this ability takes its roots both in the pre-existing parental link between the Constellations of the Bat and the Robin, and the parental relationship between most holders of the Robin and one of the holders of the Bat, as well as Damian's powerful drive to prove himself as Batman's son. When Robin is in the vicinity of a Bat, all of his abilities, physical and magical, are enhanced (up to 3 times more powerful) though that may be altered depending on his relationship with the current holder of the Bat.

So, I know that other fandoms have done collabs with character designs like these, but I think it would be super cute to do a big collab with everyone's Human!Loop designs! (You could call it a constellation☆)

What is everyone's interest in this? It would be open submission for art of any level (though preferably a full body design with a transparent or solid color background that could be easily removed) for about two weeks, after which I would edit them into a big old pile of Loops!

5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

It depends on what that thing is, but honestly I think Arden's pretty willing! He really fought for Efnisien, including seeing his therapist again, for example. He wanted to hurt his father, so he stalked him for ages. He wants to remember Laurie, so he "celebrates" his birthday/death day every year.

Arden's absolutely a fighter, both literally and in spirit! :D

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?

I'm coming in on a solid 'I don't know' on this one. I think he could, honestly, but I don't think he'd want to re: ethically. I think eventually he would turn himself in.

I'm not sure actually. Arden's tricky. It takes a lot to push him to the edge.

I think maybe more accurately, Arden could murder someone if given cause, quite easily. I don't think he'd necessarily care about 'getting away with it.' I think this is something one of his therapists in his hometown noticed and was like 'hey, get away from your father, and maybe consider starting again somewhere else' in the most therapeutically gentle way possible, lol.

It's interesting, the little parallels in the Stargate movie.

Daniel says the Great Pyramid is older than we think it is, and the language, too, and the scientific community balks; the Project Giza staff says the cover stone tablets are older than Daniel thinks they could possibly be, and the language too, and Daniel balks.

And we know very clearly, because Daniel says it in his original presentation, that there is no writing in the Great Pyramid, and then he's surprised by the fact that there's no writing in the pyramid on the other end.

The same culture, we might guess, that created the cover stones on this end will have created the inscriptions on the planet on the other end—but of course that culture isn't the culture of the pyramid builders (or designers, since they were probably built with slave labor), it's the culture of the people they enslaved. (Meaning that as far as the movie is concerned, using the series terminology, the Egyptian dialect is not "Goa'uld," at all. We have no idea what Ra's language might be.) And of course there were inscriptions nearby on Earth, at Giza, because they kicked Ra out. At the other end, they did not control that territory.

I’ve seen a few people passing around a uquiz and doing it for their OCs. I only do these if they give interesting/insightful results for my top favorite OCs, and this one definitely meets my standards:
