PLEASE support The Innocence Project. Let the state sanctioned murder of Marcellus Williams radicalize you into caring about incarcerated people. Don’t let those in office that allow for this to defeat you. Incarcerated people are among the most violated and exploited class of people in the United States. We have built a justice system that benefits off of the mass incarceration of marginalized people. Incarceration is used to disenfranchise people. It is used for modern day slavery. Anyone can become incarcerated. It is the quickest and easiest way for your government to strip you of your rights.

I don’t even know what words are appropriate in this situation. Something about this situation just doesn’t feel real. We live in an evil world. I sometimes don’t like to believe such things could happen again. But it happens live right in front of us. I’m so sorry for his family and the victim’s family. Neither will get their justice.
Two people were murdered in this case. And neither will get justice because of the unjust and corrupt “justice system”. Racism is so ingrained in our society and yet many will turn a blind eye and deny it still exists. Even in the face of murder.
Governor Mike Parson is a murderer. Shame on him and shame on the Supreme Court for having the chance to save him.
God rest his soul.

Last week, St. Louis County Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton declined to vacate the conviction and death sentence of Marcellus, an innocent man on death row in Missouri. This means Marcelllus’ execution will go forward as planned on Sept. 24.
The state of Missouri has admitted major constitutional errors including removing potential jurors based on race, and mishandling the DNA evidence that could have proved Marcellus' innocence.
There’s still time for the courts or Gov. Parson to stop Missouri from making this irreversible mistake. We must do everything in our power to stop this wrongful execution. And you can help. Here’s how.
Keep calling Gov. Parson at 417-373-3400 and urge him to stop Marcellus’ execution.
Please help us prevent Missouri from making the irreversible mistake of killing an innocent person. Your voice could make a crucial difference in the fight for justice.

In 11 days, Texas is set to execute a man for a crime that never happened
This is Robert Roberson. He has been sitting on Texas' death row for over twenty years after being convicted of murdering his daughter.
The problem? The murder never happened.
Robert was convicted based on the discredited and outdated diagnosis of "shaken baby syndrome", which argued that babies could die from shaking that doesn't leave signs of physical trauma. Robert is also autistic, and his mannerisms lead hospital staff to suspect abuse. There is no evidence that Robert murdered his daughter, Nikki. Killing Robert is not justice.
Please click the link above to sign a petition asking Gov. Greg Abbott to halt Robert's execution. I will also link below to a news article with further information about the case.

From @theinnocenceproject:
This is it. We only have 48 HOURS to stop Missouri from executing #MarcellusWilliams, an innocent man.
Every hour, every minute, every second is critical right now. And even though @GovParsonMO's office is closed today, we can’t let a single moment go by where we’re not urging him to take action. So today, we’re asking you to SHARE Marcellus’ story far and wide by creating your own post about him using the social media toolkit at the link in our bio, and include a call to action to sign our petition and call @GovParsonMO at 417-373-3400.
It is not too late for Gov. Parson to ensure that Missouri does not take an innocent man’s life.

Joseph 'Joe' Arridy (April 29, 1915 - January 6, 1939) was wrongfully convicted and executed for the murder of Dorthy Drain, at the time 15 years old, in Pueblo, Colorado, his natal city. He was mentally disabled, and the police manipulated him to make a false confession. He was only 23 years old at the time. due to his mental disabilities, he didn't understand the concept of death or being executed, which had to be explained to him several times in different ways. He was executed by gas chamber. Joe only received a full and unconditional posthumous pardon by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter 72 years after his death.

Important petition to sign!!!
Robert Roberson is an autistic father whose daughter passed away from chronic health conditions. The courts charged him with murdering his daughter despite there being proof that his daughter died of natural causes! They are planning on executing him on October 17th and we need people to sign this petition to save his life!
Hospital staff discriminated against him by taking his autistic traits and claiming he was emotionless towards his daughter's death. Multiple doctors and scientists agree that his daughter died of natural causes and that he was innocent and even the lead detective of the case acknowledges that he agrees Roberson is innocent even after he first claimed that he was guilty and somehow that's not enough.
Please save him from death row and help Texas free him so he can finally grieve his daughter in peace! He's been in prison for 20 years and he doesn't deserve to die.

PLEASE READ
If you could take a second to read this and maybe sign the petition, share it, call etc, that would be awesome. The US justice system in all of its bullshit wisdom is disregarding clear evidence of innocence yet again even by a prosecuting DA and since a ruling by the Supreme Court that basically says innocence doesn’t matter, Missouri is going to execute a man in five days for a crime that he didn’t commit and they can very well get away with it unless we do something. Check the link below by the Innocence Project for more info. Reblogs are greatly appreciated 🖤

I sincerely apologize to you all for not speaking up on my Tumblr account about this sooner.

Please call Governor Parson and implore him to stop the wrongful execution of Marcellus Williams at the number (417) 373-3400 before it's too late.

Not to be controversial but I don’t think the state should have the right to take away your life.
Help the Innocence Project stop the execution of Marcellus Williams. He is scheduled to be executed TOMORROW (Sept. 24) for a crime he was not proven to have committed.

Tomorrow, September 23, 2024, Missouri is set to execute Marcellus Williams, an innocent man imprisoned since 2001. Despite making a plea deal that would save his life, a motion filed by St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell that forensic evidence excluded him from the crime, and the admission that the previous administration had committed constitutional errors in the handling of evidence, St. Louis County Judge Bruce Hilton denied the request to vacate Marcellus’ conviction and death sentence.
It's time to be loud and let Missouri Governor Mike Parson know that we will not stand for this gross miscarriage of justice.
Please call the Governor at 417- 373-3400 and use the script provided by the Innocence Project here:
And sign the petition here:

Innocence Project client Robert Roberson could soon become the first person in U.S. history to be executed based on the discredited “shaken baby syndrome” hypothesis. Despite new evidence of Robert’s innocence, a Texas court has scheduled his execution for Oct. 17.
What does this mean? It means we need YOU to join the fight to stop Robert’s execution. Sign our petition to join the fight against Texas making an irreversible mistake. #SaveRoberson

Updated article, Mr. Dunn has been freed! If you are still hoping to assist somehow, consider donating to The Midwest Innocence Project, the group that represented him through all of this!

More than 30 years in prison for a crime there was no evidence he committed. He was only 18. Now republican AG is refusing to allow his overturned sentence be implemented.
Don't stop talking about Christopher Dunn until he is released.
