Jason Todd never gets picked up by social services when Catherine dies. Instead, the alley protects its own.

Jason had spent most of his daytime hours looking after his neighbors kids. He was basically family. They paid him in meals and a shared bed when Willis would kick him out sometimes.

When people hear his Mom died, he couch surfs amongst families with small children that need supervision while their parents are at work. He manages well enough, and he rotates what families he stays with so CPS never catches wind. He’s the alley’s secret amongst working immigrant families.

It also means he knows how to deal with kids.

So when he watches one tumble off a fire escape on the roof opposite where he’s been smoking, he knows he has to check it out. Make sure the kid’s alright.

When he finally gets a good look at him, both his camera and leg are busted.

More convoluted take below the cut!

Tim, who broke his leg actually, is too little to be taking care of himself or get himself home. He needs to be looked after.

He gets the kid to Leslie, lies and says he’s watching him over the weekend and the kids parents will be back Monday, and gets the kid in a cab before figuring out where he lives.

Tim isn’t super aware of what’s going on around him since he was given something for the pain, but he knows there’s someone asking him a lot of questions. When he is more awake, the following morning after waking up on his living room couch, he realizes there’s a kid watching him.

Tim feels like hell and while he appreciates Jason taking him home, he can handle himself.

Jason snorts at him, asks if he’s ever had a broken leg or knows how to use crutches, and what he wants for breakfast.

It takes two days before Tim is willing to admit his parents won’t be home for a few months. They’re lucky school’s out or someone would have noticed Tim’s absence.

Jason becomes Tim’s babysitter, or as much of one as he can be without Tim’s parents finding out. Jason takes care of him the whole time his leg is healing. Tim teaches him to play videogames and Jason reads to him.

When Tim’s finally healed, he wants to go back out at night to chase after Batman. Jason gives him an unimpressed look, but asks if the kid wants to tag along to his babysitting gigs in the alley. He misses some of the little twerps and thinks there’s a few Tim would like.

Tim and Jason become brothers early, going from apartment to apartment looking after other people’s kids. Jason gets someone who follows him around, gives him shit, and is almost as good as wikipedia in a pinch. Tim gets someone who gives a shit about him, a social life full of people who aren’t snotty high society brats, and Jason’s special brand of aggressive caring.

What the two don’t know is that Two Face has been looking for Jason’s dad. No one had been able to rat him out when he was staying with Tim because no one knew where he was.

It takes a while, but when the wrong people figure out where Jason is, it isn’t pretty.

They interrupt him while sitting an overnighter. There’s a loud knock at the door and when Jason checks the peephole, it’s two of his Dad’s old buddies. Jason rounds up the kids, yells “just a minute!”, gives Tim a kitchen knife and tells him to sit tight and lock themselves in one of the bedrooms. Tim doesn’t hear anything after the front door opening and an initial shout. He waits 15 minutes before he’s sure the coast is clear. Then, he rounds the kids up, puts them to bed like Jason does, and heads up to the roof.

He knows Batman’s patrol routes well enough to find him and try to flag him down. Who he actually gets is Robin, who he has to explain to that Two Face took his brother. When Robin finally listens and takes the kid seriously, he radios Batman. Batman, who recognizes the neighbor kid and knows he doesn’t have a brother. By this point Tim is almost in tears of frustration trying to explain that Jason Todd is his brother but Batman also recognizes the missing kid from one of his reports and it’s enough of a corroboration that Tim gets put in the back of the Batmobile while they go to rescue Jason.

He doesn’t get to see any of the fighting and he doesn’t leave the car, but when Robin is half carrying Jason out of the building, Tim leaps out of the car to hug his brother. Jason’s got a few bruised ribs and his face is beat to hell, but it’s all something Leslie can fix.

What Leslie can’t fix is the legal fact that Jason is a missing kid, not Tim’s biological brother. Batman sits with the two, explaining how everything is going to work once they take them to the police.

Three things happen at once:

1. Jason accuses Batman of dropping kids off with traffickers. It’s why he didn’t let CPS pick him up when his Mom died.

2. Robin asks if the two will get to stay together, if they can ask Gordon not to separate them.

3. Tim says they will be doing no such thing, Mr. Wayne.

It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe. She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.

Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too. That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3

To be or not to be (a blackmailer) part 2

After the incident with Damian, word spread throughout the Wayne family, and now everyone was fighting over who would get to meet the newest member of the family (aside from Alfred, who was simply too dignified for something like that, and Bruce, who knew that Danny was coming over next weekend to visit the foster kittens.)

Jason was the next to interact with Danny, and contrary to what anyone says, it was purely by accident that he managed to bump into the kid.

Danny was chasing after a ghost who had stolen his newest invention for a Wayne Industries competition. He was hoping to use the invention to gain an internship in the engineering department and finally get out of the fast food industry. The ghost was a child and seemed to grab anything shiny or even remotely interesting.

He'd chased the kid all the way to a warehouse in Crime Alley where the kid lost steam and gave up the chase. Danny grabs the device, rips open a bright green portal, and shoves the kid through before quickly closing it again.

He's not in a hurry to head home, and he kinda needs to stop at the store anyway for a few ingredients before Tim comes by for dinner, so he transforms out of ghost form after making sure no one is around. He doesn't really come to Crime Alley often, so he wasn't expecting the mugging he was being subjected to by some creep with a pocketknife. He wasn't surprised (it's Crime Alley after all) but he'd been going over his grocery list in his head.

He was debating whether to completely ignore the guy or to punch the guy in the face when Red Hood came out of nowhere and smacked him around before turning to Danny and making sure he was ok.

Danny, of course, has to say something snarky while at the same time reassuring the hero that he was, in fact, just dandy.

Jason didn't rush all the way over here for nothing and racked his brain for any ideas that would let him hang with Danny. He didn't have to, though, because Danny stared at him with starry eyes and enthusiastically asked for an autograph AND a picture in one breathless sentence. Mentally punching the air he brings out his own phone and they both get pictures of the duo.

Jason only wanted the photo to rub it in everyone's face while Danny wanted a keepsake of his favorite Gotham hero. No matter what Tim said, Red Robin was Not the best and that was something they'd just have to agree to disagree on even if Tim did grumble about it every time it was brought up.

Red Hood drove Danny to the store and even waited for him to finish so he could drive him home. A few more pics in hand, and a dazed Danny was dropped off at his apartment.

The Wayne manor was in an uproar when the pics hit the Batfam group chat.

Ok hear me out. Y’know the headcanon that Cass is ALWAYS IN HONGKONG? (This is not a Cass post I’m sorry) well imagine if that lead her to found out about the mistreatment and abuse that Chinese trainees suffer in those kpop reality program, so she decides that the best way to get information to take mnet down once and for all is to…infiltrate in one of those programs.

The plan is to infiltrate in the program and win, collecting data about the industry from the inside. But the main issue here was that there weren’t any female show auditioning right now, the only option available was the new season of Boys Planet.

Her first thought was Dick. He was charming and a really good dancer, and while his singing wasn’t the best he could still win because of charisma, his looks, his dancing, and the fame that came from the Wayne name. The one issue was that, by kpop standards, Richard is more close to retirement than to debuting.

That’s how Tim Drake ended up being part of Boys Planet 2025.

He despised it at first. He wasn’t really into boybands and the idea of having to fake his entire personality for MONTHS in front of TV really exhausted him; but, whatever, he couldn’t say no when Cass asked him so nicely.

Tim was a good singer, he knew that, Janet made him take singing lessons as a kid and he actually liked them so he kept going until he started training to be Robin.

But that doesn’t mean he stopped doing it.

He wasn’t MAIN VOCAL level singer, but he could handle himself on his own well enough to be a good Lead vocalist if he wanted it.

He also could rap and improvise really good since he spent really long nights doing rap battles with Young Justice as a teenager.

Dancing was something all the bats knew how to do, since some of their fighting styles implied that they move with the same grace and smoothness that’s needed in dancing, so it was an easy way to start training how to fight if you knew how to MOVE.

He also was part Korean (Janet’s side), so he knew how to speak Korean fluidly.

He also was strikingly pretty, he knew that, he had the delicate face that he knew how to use in his advantage, he was short and lean enough to pass as a Twink, but he had the arms and muscles that made every single 13 year old drool.

He obviously is accepted on sight.

His audition was dancing and singing to Rough by Gfriend.

His on-show audition is with two other boys singing Love Scenario by iKON and he had SO MUCH FUN training with those two boys and presenting the song. (You bet they stayed friend the whole show and he ended up being massively shipped with one of them which created a Xiaorina ending when Tim debuted and his friend didn’t)

The rest of the show is bad, but Tim is so used to much way worse this is like vacation to him, he is actually having a really good time and the trainees are jealous of him for that, but they like him because he is nice and a good team leader, he even helps people of other teams practice on his spare time.

He keeps the investigation, obviously, but it’s kinda in the back of his mind, he discovers how much he loves singing and dancing on stage and is kinda excited to win. He knows he’ll have to come back to Gotham and that taking the spot from someone just to later leave would be so rude, but he can’t help but want to be on stage a little more, to sing and dance and make little programs with his group, it will be like Young Justice all over again but with less deaths and more music!! But he knows this is a mission and he shouldn’t get attached.

He ends up winning, obviously. He gets the first place and is the 3 oldest in a group of nine and he was happy with the group he ended up with (He was kinda sad when his friend Ollie didn’t get to debut tho, he knew how much he wanted it)

He is the Leader, Lead Vocalist and Lead Dancer of the group and is ready to throw hand with Mnet for his little rascals. (“What do you mean Yujin has to stay past 12?!? He’s 13!!! No- He won’t- DONT RAISE YOU VOICE AT ME MY FAMILY CAN BUY YOUR FAMILY THE KID WILL LEAVE WITH THE REST-“)

Cass doesn’t have the heart to tell him that she closed the case while he was still in Boys Planet. But it’s good tho!! The kpop industry can be horrible to some, but for Tim, who is used to the Batman way of training, this is a walk on the park! AND he is making sure those kids are being taken care of, so maybe having an idol brother isn’t that bad.

Y/N had always stood out in ENHYPEN, not just because of her talent, but because of her petite figure that contrasted with the tall and lean stature of the boys. They couldn't resist teasing her about it, and she took it in stride, giving as good as she got.

As they prepared for a variety show appearance, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. The group was known for their close-knit bond, and today was no exception. But Jay had a secret that he couldn't keep hidden any longer.

In the green room, Y/N was going over her lines, trying to stay focused despite the playful banter from the others.

"Y/N, do you need a booster seat?" Heeseung teased with a grin, earning a playful swat from her.

"Very funny, Heeseung. You guys are just too tall," she retorted, sticking her tongue out.

Jay, standing nearby, couldn't help but smile at her feisty spirit. He leaned in closer, whispering into her ear, "I think your height is perfect just the way it is."

She blushed but gave him a sly smile, "Oh, really? And why's that?"

He leaned in even closer, brushing his lips against her earlobe. "Because it makes it easier for me to do this."

His warm breath sent a shiver down her spine as he gently kissed her earlobe, a barely-there touch but enough to make her heart race.

As the cameras rolled, Jay couldn't resist sneaking in touches that appeared casual but held a hidden intensity. During a break, he playfully stole her snack, and as she reached out to grab it back, their fingers brushed, sending a shiver down her spine.

During the show's game segment, they were paired up, and Jay seized the opportunity to be even more playful. The host had announced a challenge that required them to work together closely, and Jay's eyes sparkled mischievously as he glanced at Y/N.

With the game underway, he stood behind her, his chest barely brushing against her back. Their mission involved coordinating their movements, and Jay made sure to be in sync with Y/N. His hands would subtly graze her waist, sending a jolt of electricity through her.

When they had to share a microphone, he'd lean in close, their cheeks almost touching as they laughed together. The tension between them was palpable, their playful banter laced with a hidden desire.

The other members noticed the subtle changes in Jay's behavior but said nothing, knowing the truth that they kept hidden from the public eye. Sunghoon would give them knowing glances, and Sunoo would sometimes tease, but they all respected their privacy.

After the filming, the group huddled backstage, and Y/N couldn't help but blush at Jay's playful antics. "You were quite touchy today," she commented with a teasing smile.

Jay winked at her, his voice low, "I can't help it when you're standing so close."

Sunghoon chimed in, "Yeah, Jay, you were practically glued to her."

Jay laughed it off, but his eyes never left Y/N. "Can't blame me for wanting to be close to someone as amazing as her."

The rest of ENHYPEN exchanged knowing glances, aware of the secret they shared. As fans speculated about their interactions on the show, Y/N and Jay continued their secret romance, finding joy in the stolen moments and shared laughter that came with being together, even if it was out of the public eye.
