I think he did, and I freaking love him for that….Headcanon that he saw Titanic in theaters (probably multiple times) and was sobbing during it…and it made him long for a love like Jack and Rose’s.

BTW…No, I’m not over here thinking about incorporating this into my Wild Violet AU or thinking about making a Titanic Wild Kratts AU staring Zach, why do you ask *furiously concocting the Au as we speak.*

Summary:

Rauru just had to make sure that Sonia got home safely. What happened then, was something that he had not been prepared for. Sonia on the other hand...

This chapter deals with the ending of their first date. But somehow this is even more eventful than the date itself. Also interesting headcanon: l like to believe that Zonai kiss by having their noses touch, instead of their lips. So when Sonia kisses him, she likes to mix a human and a Zonai kiss, kissing his nose.

Anyway have a preview:

“This is so beautiful” Sonia said, appearing far more relaxed than the previous time. “The way the lights appear in the dark of the night and the way the wind blows through my hair. I feel like I can finally appreciate it now. The feeling of flight.” “I told you, I can make you fly anytime that you want” Rauru whispered into her ear, as he slowly began to lower himself. Enough so that his arms could still grip onto her waist without losing hold of the steering handle. “Huh? What are you doing, Rauru?” “I want you to be able to spread your wings, little bird.” Sonia didn’t need long to understand what he meant and slowly let go of his arms. She still felt perfectly safe in his grip and finally moved her arms up, spreading them wide. “I’m flying. I'm really flying, Rauru!” she exclaimed in utter amazement. Rauru did not say anything, he just let her have this moment. She was so happy, so excited. He wanted to give the world to her.

Yes, this is very much a Titanic reference. So I, as Titanic herd, had to sketch the scene.
