Frankensteined up some of my figures + csp magic to make these. I'm seriously thinking about customizing some 🤔 I also wanna make Fortress Maximus with Tarn and Magnus' pieces...

Chromedomes chest would also be all that red-ish pink and I'd probably use a different helm for his head too 🤔 I thought Slag's would work, but I think it's too square.

You can also pretty much make Headmasters Chromedome with Scrapper too >:)

He's perfect. I love him!!

I laugh because to make his eyes light up you have to flick/hit him.

compared to my idw megatron model kit i think it was definitely less hassle and hes shorter than him too! i like that his eyes light up though thats pretty rad!!

H I M

This is the yolopark Shockwave (bumblebee movie) model. I've always discouraged myself from getting characters/models because I'd end up "taking a shrine too far" in a shrine sort of way. But, yknow what? Lighting the Shockwave candle every evening when I get home from work has been a delight.

This is the largest modelkit I've ever done. The only "big" modelkit I've ever done. Dozens of Warhammer minis could not have prepared my hands for the joint inflammation Shockwave would bring me over the course of ~7 days.

44 sprues, 800+ pieces, about 26 hours of my time, some hands, a bit of teeth, dozens of breaks...

The head was the easiest bit, the smallest bit, and effectively the learning curve. It was nice. The body, immediately afterwards, was hell. That was a seven hour long ADHD hyperfocus session that destroyed my hands.

The gun arm was not that bad, honestly. But lots of moving parts. His joints aren't just straightforward easy-peasy joints. They're more like 3-4 joints that actually change his position while shifting armour plates out of the way.

And his hand...

This is the most beautiful and delicate hand I've ever held. I cannot explain the warmth I felt holding his tiny little (definitely plastic) metal hand for this image. The fingers have full range of motion, his thumb is opposable, it's genuinely just...his hand is absolutely darling.

The warmth was probably joint inflammation.

His legs were about half of the instruction booklet. A good twenty pages per leg. But, the range of motion is incredible. That said, this was the most frustrating part of the build. Two segments of his armour (one on thigh, one on calf) are attached with the help of a spring so they can shift when bending the knee.

Here he is at the end! 2 liter lemonade bottle for scale.

He's about 30cm tall, but a little shorter when actually standing due to his funky centre of gravity. His dense chest and the gun arm make him to-and-to-the-side heavy. He needs to bend his legs a little and brace his gun arm to stand upright, and feels quite unstable. That's in part why I've decided he gets to spend his time sat down. A light breeze could land him tits down on the ground and broken in dozens of pieces.

Anyway, I had to calculate the blindspot. Boobwave my beloved.

This Shockwave is about 1/60 scale. So a full-sized Shockwave would be about 18 meters tall. He's a big boy.

I took this image with the camera about 3cm (so, 180cm at full size, my height roughly!) off the ground.

His head fully vanished at a 25cm distance from under his torso. That's 15 meters from a sitting position. Shockwave's blindspot is so pronounced that the can't see anything on the ground nearly his entire height away.

Had some fun building this guy after having him occupy my closet for a few years. Took 2-3 business days purely because I kept screwing up the legs. I closed the thighs before connecting the lower legs, then put the legs on the wrong sides and had to take a break before I broke him. His ass falls apart every time I try to pose him, but he’s old, so it’s okay. I’m just glad I could make myself finish.

I have a polite request to make of the transformers fandom, but do y’all have any good websites to use to buy model kits or decently priced figures?👉👈

I was lucky enough to find a Rodimus one at my local retro ganing store in town. and despite the agony he put my fingers in it was a lot of fun to put together!

(Sorry my bathroom was the only place at the time I had good lighting)

But he needs some friends! I can’t have my babygirl Roddy all alone, so I’m open to any reccommenation!

I shall go back to writing for right now, but thank you in advanced.

Adding to my Transformers ramblings is now figure talk!! :D Mwahaha!

Can't deny that I'm a sucker for blind boxes, but I usually just assist friends in guessing them haha. Though when I saw these last year on my Rodimus model kit hunt I was very intrigued! At the time I couldn't figure out where to get them and only saw one set, which had a lot of cool bots, Jazz and Prowl specifically were who I wanted since I didn't have a figure of either at the time.

Time passed and I saw they had two new sets with a Soundwave and Shockwave as well as Magnus and Tarn which made me cave 😂 lol luckily I found out they have a US website now? and just released TF ONE boxes too so had to get one those too... as for my pulls...

I was so shocked 😱 like... how!? I also pulled who I wanted from the 1! TF ONE box I got! I'm scared man lol 💀

Super curious to see who the next set has!! Hoping for the Combaticons and Overlord on the Decepticon side 🤞 as for autobots... Hound, Powerglide, Tracks and Blaster for G1 or anything Brainstorm and Chromedome would make me explode lol OMG AND FORTMAX PLSSS ��🙏

Anyway that's all! If you collect TF figures they are great! Also on the cheaper side and a fun craft :>

Finally built Rodimus and am so content with him, little guy scales well with my Titans Return toys but he is so tiny next to Perceptor and Ravage. Ravage could body this man.

My spouse just called me. When I answered the phone, they just go: "Shockwave is in your house."

The yolopark model kit has arrived, at long last!!

Now I have to sit in agony for a few weeks because I KNOW I can't open him. I don't have enough space with the current state of organisation in the house, and I'll need to build him over the course of a week or so. I have to be patient.

I've got a week off of work like,,, five weeks from now. I'll have to wait FIVE WEEKS to start piecing him together. It's my first big model kit. I've done loads of push-fit and glue and stick Warhammer minis but those are MINIS. Even my most tedious necron has taken like one sprue of fiddly bits, not 44 sprues and over 800 pieces, with moving joints, springy bits, and a light/battery for his beautiful eye.

So uh.

1. Working full-time is a blessing and a curse. I can afford to buy him, but am bound to a schedule that means I cannot build him for weeks.

2. This is going to be the largest puzzle I've ever completed, and I'll either lock in and have a great time, or cry. Only time will tell.

The nerd shelf is growing! Welcome newest edition Acid Storm! My first transformers figure and model kit.

Definitely a lot more complicated than I thought but I learned a lot and I’m excited to get more. (R.I.P wallet) Any ideas which model kits I should get next?

Also, does anyone remember Acid Storm? I feel like he must be if he has his own model. ( Yes I know it’s probably just a Riskin color of StarScream but still)
