So I am trying to get into Unturned modding again. Sorry about that My mind does not know how to stay still. I have gotten to the animation phrase of making the mod, but using the default models is a bit of a pain I went and found a lovely model known as AUPR22. Messed around a bit and made something I am willing to change later and slap on, 'placeholder.' Did the whole unity painful thing and did this

So if you are planning to make an unturned mod, go ahead and use this cheat sheet for importing your own custom models. Lastly I imported the .unity3d file thanks to Exclude_From_Master_Bundle and test it out thanks to /reload itemGUID.

This is the result that came back and it is a bit funny. But that is mod development for ya. Hope some of you are having a good day and remember that any item id is on a unassigned 16 bit interger. So don't set your items above 65535

Hey, I've been reading up on your Dragon Age Inquisition adventures! Your Inquisitor is indeed pretty and I love the explanation you give for having her be a dual dagger rogue. Snotty nobles <3

You're right, the world is really big. The common advice is to get out of the Hinterlands ASAP or you will get bogged down, but back when I played the game (which was around the time it was released 😭 so my memories are bound to be even more muddled than my memories of P2 when I first found your Patho blog), I was categorically incapable of doing this until I did everything there was to do. I left no stone unturned, in any of the areas, and never lost interest, but I also had a lot more time and patience for that type of game then. That being said, I'm excited for DA4.

I also always had a physical strategy guide open in front of me so that made it more manageable, lol.

Cassandra and Vivienne are my faves ♥️ "something something characters who are religious are hot" asdfhg honestly that's so real. When it's a fantasy setting I feel the same apparently.

In my first playthrough, my Inquisitor was an elf archer and she became my favorite little gremlin ever ♡ She only looks gremlinesque though; she was rather diplomatic and moderate, or as Lana Del Rey once said, "No moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality," a.k.a. the human behind the screen wanted to experience all companion quests and be universally liked.

She romanced Solas and I loved it! Listen yeah I know some people can be a little annoying about Solas (stans and haters both) and I'm not attracted to the guy, but narratively it was satisfying. Yes he's a dillweed, whatever, I don't care 😇 #noregrets. I would have romanced Cassandra if possible, but I played on PS4, so no mods for me.

Second playthrough, my Inquisitor was a human mage who romanced Cullen. I was going for the whole internalized magephobia thing and the Cullenmance seemed the proper course of action for that, but I won't lie, it was kind of dull. Absolutely would have romanced Vivienne in this run instead if I could have. Similar to your Inquisitor, mine also quickly started to believe she was the Herald of Andraste for real.

I feel like I'm always doomed to fall for the unromanceable companions/characters. A fact that could perhaps be psychoanalyzed.

wait what? So I'm not actually the herald of Andraste?? if that's true, that's a massive plot spoiler. Why would you mention it, I wanted to experience the game organically, this is my first time playing any dragon age game.

I didn't ask to know about cullen's romance being dull, I wanted to experience it for myself and form my own opinion about him. Same with Solas, I didn't think he's popular in the fandom, I haven't looked through the main tag yet to avoid spoilers.

I understand that you're excited, but you shouldn't have gone into as much detail as you have. You got to play the game many times, this is my first, I'm not even using a guide and it's hard enough as it is to accept my losses when they come and not worry about approval.

I would've loved this ask if you had just skipped over your playthrough details and just showed me the inquisitor pictures. I know you didn't mean to spoil things but information will slip you by.

I thought Vivienne was romance-able, I swear I picked flirty options with her...she isn't, huh.

I've been taking the development of the next Unturned update more "slow and steady" this past month than I used to. It's much more relaxing. No specific release date is planned yet, but it will probably be in early October.

Most recently, I've been working on the conversion to "UI Elements" / "UI Toolkit" - Unity's newer UI system. After upgrading to 2021 LTS, it's supported for use in the game view.

I have yet to make any big decisions about handling the Unity trouble. Some posts have suggested we can stay on the current LTS versions with the original Terms of Service. That would probably be fine for a few years (4-5?), but longer down the road, we could start to see issues on newer OS.

Unturned has custom formats for levels and doesn't rely much on Unity assets like prefabs, so automatically converting the data to another engine would be feasible. However, converting all of the code and game logic would be a massive effort. Existing mods would be unusable without the creator(s) running the conversion, and all code plugins would break.

It's also been pointed out that now could be a great time to revisit the possibility of a new project. In the meantime, I've been playing around in Godot, reading the "Game AI Pro" books - one of my weakest areas in gamedev, re-sorting my Lego by shape (sorted by color as a kid), and painting the house.

Round 4 - Autumn 1 - The Mackenzie Family

ROS has some interesting ideas for Ash this round. The minor event is fine - she wants to go on some dates with her new boyfriend Kobe anyway so we can do that.

But the major event? Hmmm. I have BO's mod which changes up what can happen when you get abducted. I've edited it so that, for both men and women, there's a 50% chance of pregnancy, a 35% chance nothing at all will happen, a 10% chance that their motives will be completely drained, and a 1% chance each of the Sim turning into a PlantSim, a zombie, a witch, a werewolf or a vampire. If they're already the supernatural state and happen to get the 1% chance, they'll actually UNTURN. What that means for Ash, of course, is that she has a very small 1% chance of becoming a 'normal' human, and a 4% chance of becoming a hybrid of some sort. That's actually exciting! Thanks ROS! On with the round...

Ash, as usual, started the round in her garden tending to her babies. She hated hearing them screaming when they were being strangled by weeds so she always tried to get to them as quickly as possible.

She then decided to call up her new beau, Kobe, and asked him on a date at her home (as the only places to go in town were the playground and the new fire station, which would be weird).

He came straight over and, as Ash pulled him into a close romantic dance, they both realised that they were in love.

Sammy Hagar’s all-star band got their much-anticipated The Best of All Worlds tour underway over the weekend, and the vocalist has discussed why Joe Satriani understands Eddie Van Halen better than anyone else.

According to Jason Newsted and Michael Anthony, both bass players were in talks for a David Lee Roth-fronted, but ultimately failed, Van Halen tribute in 2022. That tour would have put Satch at the helm, to many the perfect player to step into his enormous shoes – a sentiment Hagar shares.

Hagar has since gone one step further, recruiting Satriani, Michael Anthony, and drummer Jason Bonham for a tour that so far has featured 15 Van Halen songs, from both Roth and Hagar eras of the band.

In a new conversation with Classic Rock, Sammy Hagar hailed Satriani’s attention to detail and pointed out that there’s no-one better for the job.

“I think probably the smartest move I made if I was gonna go out and do this was to get Joe Satriani,” the vocalist says.

“A million guys could've done it – well, not a million. But you walk into a music store and you see a 12-year-old kid sitting on an amp with one of Eddie's guitars and he's playing Eruption. These genius little kids can do it now, but they don't necessarily know what he's doing. You ask him to write a song like that, and he's going, 'Ah, I don't know how.' You say, 'Joe, write me a song like that,' Joe'll write you a song like that 'cause he knows where it's coming from.”

That last line is especially interesting – is Hagar hinting that this band could be looking to work on original music together, or is he simply making a point?

The tour setlist – look away if you want to avoid spoilers – includes a raft of Van Halen anthems, from Jump to Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love, as well as lesser-played deep cuts such as Judgment Day and The Seventh Seal. The tour also marks the first time Hagar has performed Panama with his solo band.

Speaking to Guitar World back in November, with the tour an intimidating speck in the distance at that time, Satriani had said he would need to go through some “mental therapy” to get over the fact his playing wasn't going to sound exactly like Eddie's.

He also added that he expected .9 gauge strings “will be part of the secret formula for the Eddie Van Halen sound. Without those, you don't get the expressiveness and the slinkiness.”

It was an early indicator that no stone would be left unturned during his exhaustive tone quest.

Indeed, Satch has felt the pressure of emulating/honoring his idol for the tour. As such, he’s worked with 3rd Power amps for a custom amp to nail Eddie's 1986 guitar tone, built a new pedalboard, and modded several EVH guitars after saying his live rig needed to be "a different animal”.

In fact, so conscious was the guitarist not to let Eddie's influence dull the shine of his personality, he revealed he'd never learned how to play Eddie's music before the tour opportunity came along.

“After being a super-fan of Van Halen when they first came out, I realized that if I learned how to play this stuff, it would seep into my playing,” he said. “So, around ‘88, I consciously decided not to figure it out. I'd put it on and have a good time, but I never looked to figure out what Eddie was doing. And then, I got the call from Alex [Van Halen] and Dave [Lee Roth] a couple of years ago, and I realized, 'Wow, I don't know how to play any of it.’ I explained that to them, and maybe every three or four weeks, I'd call them up, saying, 'I'm not doing it. I'm sorry; I'm not your guy.' So many guys were good at it, but they would talk me back into it, saying, 'No, you're the guy.’”

The rest, as they say, is history.

This sounds rather aggressive, but it isn’t meant to be. I never notice these things until it’s too late.

Dream: Uhm, I know this was sent a while ago, and technically this is very overdue. But there's a few things? I want to say.

I'm not usually one for blocklists, and us as a system do believe second chances do exist, so if one person did a bad to us, we don't think that should warrant them being ostracized. There have been exceptions, and I'm not here to immediately forgive Foxxism for what he's done to Drew, because I understand being hurt by someone doesn't always warrant forgiveness and forgetfulness, especially if the said person only digs in their heels and continues harassment.

So, for us of all personally, if we were to give out a small craft advisory to those wading the shores, we'd choose only two people; Freyfall and Foxxism.

This will be the last post we make about either of these people, so we won't leave any stone unturned. Especially since we're shooting for the stars with the datemate of the creator of this little fandom. I hope this doesn't sound disjointed, as I'm the new host as opposed to Drew/Mod Felis, whom a lot of this happened to him personally and not to me, but I will have someone here to help.

Glitch: Yo. I'm Glitch. Not the same one from the TUSOUD fic, actually. I am partially a DS fictive, and I've been around since 2020 and when all these... issues came around. I tend to overheat when thinking about this issue, so if it sounds like I'm attacking you OP, I'm more referring to Lucian/Foxxism, so don't worry too much about it.

I wasn't always Glitch. I used to be just a fragment, someone without much of an understanding besides "do what it takes to keep going" and "keep us going until we pass out", as we worked a physically draining job at the time and I was a last resort. That was my purpose, and the fact I could understand language was a miracle in itself.

Here, I met Lucian. He was originally called Blue, but because we have our own Blue, we'll stick to the present name. I talked to Lucian a few times, and while I could not really understand or process everything when it came to our conversations, Drew was able to pick up on the fact that Lucian was a little obsessive with me and was the smart 18 year old in not mentioning it and keeping me away from front to protect me in my rather vulnerable state. I am grateful for this, as we all know what can go on in our sources, and whilst I didn't have the trauma source Blue inflicted on me, it kept me from having it occur. Drew couldn't always keep me away; I still had a purpose in the system, and sometimes we were so beat it was better I took front to keep pushing carts up a hill and walking back home in the summer heat, because the alternative was worse.

My name was Error, and I found Lucian to be my friend, until Fox (the host of Foxxism's system) decided Drew's trigger for Freyfall's JMV AU was his issue that he needed to "cure". Despite not being a licensed psychologist or therapist, he certainly wanted to do a crash course on us despite the fact that the main component needed in helping triggers is the person first wanting to do it, hence emphasis on the "crash" of the course.

Freyfall certainly wasn't none-the-wiser; they knew what was going on and still gave the greenlight to Foxxism. (Uh, this is a link, by the way. Cool segway, amirite?)

The stress of the situation caused a small split; a Calculester-esk looking fellow who went by Automation and had the ability to drain our emotions if we ended up far too stressed and triggered. He was created by this situation, and created for this situation. And once everything in this situation came to a roaring end and time passed to heal all wounds, him and I decided to fuse.

It's the definition of ironic and poetic; the person who built me up and befriended me also knocked the rest of us down. And as how Lucian is the current host now and the harassment has continued, it seems we're damned by our sources sometimes.

I once saw Lucian as a friend, and maybe we could have been like a big brother/little brother dynamic. Maybe we could have been great friends, been like a family. But I have more empathy for my headmates then for what-ifs, and since we have our own older and nicer Blue fictive (whom formed about one-two years before we met Foxxism, don't be a weirdo), that I have dated for the better part of a year, I'm happier having my boyfriend around then I ever was as a mere Error fragment chatting with Lucian.

We made peace with the situation, and we don't wish to be friends with any of them and we don't make a habit to talk to them. And while everyone is their own person, if you tend to have bad triggers, have issues with shipping siblings or fantasy not consensual fun times in terms of personal comfort, or generally would describe yourself as someone who could easily let someone stomp over their boundaries, I would say to avoid Freyfall and Foxxism.

We don't care either way if you're friends with 'em either, just don't give us shit too and you're peachy.

Alternate Start: Live Another Life -- You have various options for how to start the game. You can even choose the normal starting point if you’d like.

Thieves Guild “Former Glory” Enhancement-- As you rejuvenate the Thieves Guild, the aesthetic improves.

Improved Interior Lighting-- this game is too damn dark!

Unique Skulls of Skyrim-- 4 different mods that add little skulls throughout the game to collect.

Palace of the Dovahkiin-- A dragonborn palace with shelves lining the basement for all those skulls you’re collecting.

Moon Manor-- A manor upstream of Riverwood that has very organized containers for everything you could need.

Higher Visibility Ore-- Ore glows slightly, making it stand out in general but especially in dark interiors.

Craftable Crossbows-- just because I’m a fan of crossbows :)

Create Your Own Village-- An entire village you build in the way of the Hearthstone houses. You have to get materials for every single building, some stuff like glass and goat horns you can special order from a merchant. It really is just a city-sized Hearthstone house.

Display Case Fix (one DLC for each of the 3 Hearthstone houses)-- Now when you enter your house, items won’t FLING THEMSELVES OUT OF THE DISPLAY CASES.

Marriable Serana-- What? We had chemistry...

Enhanced Towns, Villages, and Cities DLC-- Many many mods for every city plus the villages and towns. Just overall adds plants and makes them look less like abandoned wrecks.

Enhanced Blood Textures 3.8-- Improves the splatter effects.

Detailed Mine Map Markers-- Adds a note to the name of every mine saying what ore is found there (for example: Northwind Mine (Iron))

Immersive Saturation Boost-- Just brightens the game colors up a bit. Trees are greener, water blue-er.

Markarth Undercity-- Adds a MASSIVE dungeon beneath Markarth that takes HOURS to get through. Includes new recipes, merchants, and crafting stations. DO NOT ATTEMPT UNTIL YOU ARE AT LEAST LEVEL 55. Most enemies swarm in large groups and have a high base level.

Longer Woodcutting-- Start cutting wood, leave your computer and do something, come back, and you’re still cutting wood. Just so you don’t have to *wait 3 seconds, click, wait 3 seconds, click, wait 3 seconds-*

Instant Mining-- What? I hate how long mining takes.

10x Richer Merchants-- What? I hate how fast their gold runs out.

Follower Trap Safety-- I put so much energy into skirting traps only for my idiot followers to trigger them.

Quality World Map and Solstheim Map With Roads-- Just adds the roads and paths in to the main map.

Lockpick Pro-- My response to the lack of an “auto-pick” feature in Skyrim. Gives you a range above the locks to show you where the sweet spot is.

Unread Books Glow-- No real reason for this, it’s just nice to know what I’ve read.

Quest: No Stone Unturned- Quest Markers-- Those Stones of Bazenziah you find throughout the game now FINALLY have quest markers. So you don’t have to just blind squirrel your way through the damn thing.
