Progress Update #3: Website Pre-Production Pau!
Welcome back to my Tumblr blog! How are you guys? I am… feeling a bit uncertain about this project. I have more details coming up (or down?); read them below!
What has been happening over the past 2 weeks?
These past two weeks have been rough. I have been struggling with motivation, but at the very least, I completed the pre-production phase for my website! I also finished working on my brand style guide, color palette, and user persona profiles, which are attached at the top of this post! I also shared the wireframe sketches I began to work on. I will warn you: they are rough drafts, and I am not the best at drawing. I followed this article titled “How do you draw a website wireframe?”
What is coming up for the next 2 weeks?
In the next two weeks, I plan on working on all my production phase deliverables, including creating a sitemap, finalizing my wireframes, writing the website content and prompts for each microsite, and developing the code for my WordPress website.
I am not going to lie… I forgot about my Instagram account. I will need to work on the content calendar I plan to follow to post the polls on stories.
Hiccups/Hurdles/AHA moments
I definitely procrastinated on my wireframe sketches, as I thought ten microsites were too many. I emailed my professor about reducing this project's scope, decreasing it from ten to five microsites. In the worst-case scenario, I will at least try to develop a website prototype, which I have experience producing in my CM 316 (User Experience) class.
Aside from that, customizing the Canva and Figma templates gave me an AHA moment. I learned how to detach instances and could easily reattach them with Figma plugins. I enjoyed personalizing the Canva brand files, especially since I could turn off my brain and go on auto-pilot mode, replacing the text and images as I progressed. It was fun, to say the least.
Any deliverable drafts to share?
I have attached images of my brand color palette, style guide, and user persona profiles. Additionally, there are wireframe sketches of my website.
Where are you on your timeline?
I would say I am very behind on my timeline. I need to catch up on the time I wasted and make up for it. This is truly a sprint, and I am not even close to the finish line. Hopefully, I can recover the lost time and keep the momentum going during the production phase.
That’s all, folks! Thanks for dropping by ^^

Storytelling is Revolutionizing UX Design Vivek Raju's talk, “User-Centric to Story-Centric: Rethinking the Design Process,” brilliantly highlighted how moving beyond traditional user-centered design to a story-driven approach can create more engaging, intuitive, and effective experiences. The idea? Treat the user like the hero of a story, and the design becomes a narrative that guides them seamlessly through their journey. Here are some key takeaways: 🔑 Supporting Data vs Additional Info: Vivek used simple analogies to show how every design element supports the bigger story, just like fries complement a burger. 🍔🍟 🔑 Storytelling in UX: Our brains fill gaps in incomplete info, making storytelling crucial in shaping user perception. 🧠 🔑 User as the Hero: Design should align with user personas, pain points, and goals, all within a clear narrative. 🎯 I walked away with a fresh perspective on how a story-driven design can simplify complexity and lead to better user outcomes. Thanks to uxindiaconf (ux-india.org) and Vivek Raju for this invaluable session!

5 Interesting Steps to Build a Successful Website
Building a successful website involves more than just putting together a few pages and hitting publish. It requires thoughtful planning, strategic execution, and ongoing optimization. Whether you’re creating a site for your business or personal use, here are five interesting and essential steps to guide you through the process, with a special mention of how Jalip Solutions can help you achieve your goals.
1. Define Clear Objectives and Audience
Before diving into design and development, it’s crucial to define what you want to achieve with your website and understand who your target audience is.
Why It Matters:
Purposeful Design: Knowing your objectives helps you design a site that aligns with your goals, whether it’s generating leads, showcasing a portfolio, or selling products.
Tailored Content: Understanding your audience allows you to create content that resonates with them, increasing engagement and effectiveness.
How to Do It:
Set Specific Goals: Are you looking to increase sales, build brand awareness, or provide information? Clearly outline these goals.
Identify Your Audience: Create user personas representing your ideal visitors. Consider their needs, preferences, and behaviors.
Example: For a website developed by Jalip Solutions, if you’re launching an e-commerce site, you might focus on goals like enhancing user experience and increasing conversion rates.
2. Craft a User-Centric Design
Designing with the user in mind is critical for creating a site that is both visually appealing and functional.
Why It Matters:
Enhanced Usability: A well-designed site improves navigation and user experience, making it easier for visitors to find what they need.
Increased Engagement: A visually attractive site can capture users’ attention and encourage them to stay longer.
How to Do It:
Follow Design Principles: Use principles like hierarchy, contrast, and alignment to guide users’ attention.
Implement Responsive Design: Ensure your website looks great and functions well on all devices, from desktops to smartphones.
Example: At Jalip Solutions, we focus on creating responsive designs that adapt seamlessly to any device, ensuring your website delivers a consistent experience across all platforms.

3. Optimize for Performance and Speed
A slow-loading website can frustrate users and hurt your search engine rankings. Performance optimization is key to maintaining a smooth user experience.
Why It Matters:
User Retention: Fast load times help keep visitors on your site, reducing bounce rates and improving user satisfaction.
SEO Benefits: Search engines like Google factor page speed into their rankings, so faster sites have a better chance of ranking higher.
How to Do It:
Compress Images: Use tools to reduce image sizes without sacrificing quality.
Minimize Code: Optimize your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to reduce file sizes and improve load times.
Use Caching: Implement caching strategies to speed up load times for returning visitors.
Example: Jalip Solutions employs various optimization techniques to ensure your website not only looks great but performs efficiently, providing an excellent experience for your visitors.

4. Implement Effective SEO Strategies
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is essential for driving organic traffic to your site. Effective SEO helps improve your visibility in search engine results.
Why It Matters:
Increased Traffic: Higher search engine rankings lead to more visibility and potential visitors.
Better User Experience: SEO practices often enhance the overall user experience, such as improving site navigation and content quality.
How to Do It:
Conduct Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords and integrate them naturally into your content.
Optimize On-Page Elements: Ensure meta titles, descriptions, headers, and alt texts are optimized for your target keywords.
Build Quality Backlinks: Earn backlinks from reputable sites to improve your domain authority.
Example: Jalip Solutions offers comprehensive SEO services to help boost your site’s ranking and attract more traffic, ensuring your site reaches the right audience.

5. Monitor and Analyze Performance
Ongoing monitoring and analysis are crucial for understanding how your website performs and making data-driven improvements.
Why It Matters:
Continuous Improvement: Regular analysis helps you identify areas for improvement and adapt to changing user needs or trends.
Informed Decisions: Data-driven insights allow you to make informed decisions about content, design, and marketing strategies.
How to Do It:
Use Analytics Tools: Implement tools like Google Analytics to track visitor behavior, traffic sources, and conversion rates.
Gather User Feedback: Collect feedback through surveys or usability tests to gain insights into user experiences.
Monitor Key Metrics: Keep an eye on metrics like bounce rate, average session duration, and conversion rates to assess your site’s performance.
Example: Jalip Solutions uses advanced analytics to monitor and optimize your website’s performance, helping you make informed decisions and continuously improve your site.
By following these steps—defining clear objectives, crafting a user-centric design, optimizing for performance, implementing SEO strategies, and monitoring performance—you’ll be well on your way to building a successful and effective website. Each step plays a vital role in ensuring that your site not only attracts visitors but also meets their needs and achieves your goals. For tailored solutions and expert guidance, Jalip Solutions is here to help you every step of the way.

Phillip Gallant finds transgenders offensive, but believes in transgender rights, and is remorseful for his nature I guess. Phillip Gallant is an identity inventor and it is useful for creating user personas and Phillip Gallant is afraid of user personas sometimes. There are plenty of citizens that need transgender rights and attention and many are consumers. Securing the rights of the consumer is priority therefore securing the rights of transgenders is priority. There are many transgenders in Hollywood show business.

Week 2 of my UX/UX bootcamp is coming to an end and I'm discovering how important the ability to articulate deep user insight is. 💭🎙️ ____________ To be honest, finding "my words" has never been so hard! Am I writing too much? Did I discover the correct user needs? Am I headed in the right direction? 💭😔 _____________ I just need to remember that it won't be the perfect statement the first time and iteration is key. 🔁 _____________ #uxresearch #uxdesigner #uidesigner #uxrookie #austinux #uxbootcamp #learner #uxstudent #ideation #storytelling #storyboards #userjourneymap #userinsight #userpersona (at Star Coffee) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDUE_cnAL-i/?igshid=1fkkhrgdvcu7d

User Personas
Most problems in the marketing when you start the business is how to find the right customers for your products. One thing that is the most important question for doing business is who do you try to sell the product. User Personas is the method that can help you to target the ideal customers. You can use User Personas to create the behaviour of customers that have the potential to buy your product. In order to create your own user personas, you have to have these information.

Imaged By Steve Harvey Via https://fabrikbrands.com
Firstly, you have to create demographic such as age, gender, education, profit, social status. This information can reflect the behaviour that relate to your product as well.
Secondly, psychographic that affect the product such as attitude, needs, motivation, pain or gains.
Next is how to develop your User Personas. There are four steps to do
First of all is Background research. It is the first step to learn your customers. Also, finding the industry that relate to your product, your competitors. Try to use social media in order to find the information
Second is collecting the Quantitative data. Quantitative data is about the number, percent that relate to your user personas.
Third is Qualitative data is the quality data that cannot tell by the number. Mostly, it can find from phychographic which can find by your own research.
Last step is Observational research. The reason why we use observational research is to know the result of the interaction with a website when the user stay in their natural environment which can help the researcher to know what they do.
When you finished collecting data, you can combine all the information that you gathered to create the User Personas

When you’re in an advertising landscape full of clutter and noise, how do you cut through to get the attention of a potential customer? Innovation is what seems to be the solution — however, that’s easier said than done. If innovation came by as easily, we’d all be on our way to the Cannes Lions!
