AND my Inqusitior... I think her name was Tilla or Tilia or something like that idr... but she was like THE oc for me for a while bc I made her literally around the time when I realized I was not bisexual but a lesbian so between 2 pts i just redesigned her HARD and chose to romance Sera... kind of explored what it meant thru her and for that I'm forever grateful...

Her backstory is mostly borne out of my own frustration at how mages and apostates are handled in dragon age bc its always they are 100% shunned by the "good" people and anyone who accepts them is evil and they are up to no good. So I made her a spirit healer (a bit like Anders lol) who lived in Orlais and was working at a brothel as a medical professional and a thief. I played Inquistion first as a dalish elf but I didnt really like how it all was handled... it felt kind of bad and I didnt really want to interact w that story anymore so instead I was thinking okay... what if she was a city elf lying about being Dalish... and then the whole swindler mage thing came to my mind lol. Also I liked the idea of a rags to riches story but about a person who was so wronged by society... like coming truly from the bottom... somebody who hates templars but who also hates all orlesian nobles too and then she had to parade around the palace trying to schmooze up to them... it was compelling....

Her personaly was once again kind of nothing honestly like she was cunning and kind but not much else... Very angry at the world too...

My character is so sick they can't move easily and can barely look after themselves, but they don't want help. Send "Just let me help you." for my characters reaction.

A deep growl rumbled within the prototype's throat. One of frustration and irritation. He noticed he's been feeling off lately, symptoms of something he hasn't had to deal with very often, especially now, but unfortunately still has to deal with. The sickness started as a simple irritation of his nostrils, then began to mix with light headedness, drowsiness, and a general heaviness in the limbs. As stubborn as he tends to be when it comes to him relaxing when he knows, or at least feels like, he needs to attend to the factory's well being before his own. He didn't allow himself to relax.

He wasn't now either, the symptoms of drowsiness turning into exhaustion that has escalated to the point of causing nausea and aid in intensifying the headache that stemmed from the light headedness which fueled his irritation and added to his frustration. He hasn't had a sickness in so long, due to his nature it was hard for sicknesses to actually get into his system. However when it does, it is rarely simply a little cold.

It is why he found himself groaning and laying on the concrete floor, his eyes barely able to stay focused as he struggled to breath through his clogged nostrils, having to leave his jaws open to breathe properly. He didn't lay down on purpose, truthfully he was barely aware that he had even fallen over. Though when he did, he forced himself to stand with a grunt and shook his head as he wobbled to his feet, rubbing his head to ease the light headedness and the headache. A rumbling growl mixing with a groan before he lets out a forced, heavy breath.

When she found him, he didn't have the best balance. It was clear that there was something wrong, but of course, he's always insistent on trying to deal with his problems himself. If possible.

"No...I'm fine...I am not...I am fine. I just need to get my...my concentration back and...I'll be fine."

He mumbled the statement, his exhaustion evident in his tone before he nearly fell down, using the wall to let himself slide down into a sitting position with a deep and heavy huff, the sound of liquid mixing in with a low groan.

Despite his appearance, it is very much apparent that he isn't completely mechanical. In fact he seems very much more organic than originally thought.

What do you think would happen if Freddy or Jacques were the heir instead of Roz? How would their personalities be different? What would their sibling dynamics be like?

If Rosalind weren’t heir, she’d be a concert pianist or a composer, possibly both. I think in a setting where she isn’t heir, she wouldn’t really be much different, but certainly less overbearing. Equally annoyed with her brothers, but less annoying.

Freddy as heir would be the prototypical self-effacing royal simblr heir, plagued with self-doubt. I think a lot of his personalities flaws would be magnified…he’d be more melancholic and more self-critical, more withdrawn. Freddy is very much Andre’s son, but I think the difference in their roles and ranks obscures the similarities. If Freddy were the heir, they’d be essentially the same person.

Jacques as heir would be much more in Rosalind’s vein, arrogant and overconfident. I think he would be worse to Vivi, but I also think he wouldn’t be married to her—the relationship may have been scuttled by someone within the royal family, or he may have broken things off at some point in their teens. If Hugo still existed, he would have been pushed into marriage with a Suitable Woman (tm) and encouraged to produce a legitimate heir ASAP to prevent any awkwardness from a royal bastard so highly placed in the succession.

A lot of the sibling dynamics in my story are driven by the pecking order. If Freddy were heir, he’d be distant from his siblings, very lonely and isolated. Jacques as heir would mean significant tension between Jacques and the other two, but Freddy and Roz would probably be much closer!

But there’s good news for anyone hoping the Squad can truly assemble in kick-ass form: Suicide Squad Isekai. A collab between Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studios, the new anime finds Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, Clayface, Deadshot, and King Shark jumping into an alternate universe to fight and crack wise. Amanda Waller is once again pulling the strings, sending them through some kind of interdimensional portal to complete a mission that will end in blood, one way or another. Set to Tomoyasu Hotei’s “Another World,” it feels like the perfect vehicle for the characters.

As someone who enjoys John Cena’s zany Peacemaker in both Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and his Max series, I can’t argue with the potential of handing the character to over to seasoned anime artists. I mean...

The prototype blinks upon giving a kiss upon the tip of his nose. Then he raises a metallic eye lid as he kept the other lowered and looked over at her in slight confusion and curiosity. “…What was that about?” He wasn’t sure how to properly respond.

Within the coldness of her grasp did the hefty size of the creature’s jaw look gigantic against her small hands, the dame practically giving the lower half of Prototype’s face a brief hug before promptly letting go.  The chill of her alien touch almost lingers upon the other’s metallic skin.  Quite odd in fact, if such a human were to be as cold as the dead.  Why did she want to test this sudden peak of affection out of nowhere though?  She offered him little explanation until she finally took a respectful step back onto the tile floor.  

Vivi smiles at her companion brightly, about as familiarly giddy every time it seemed he would often bump into the woman on his regular patrols of the vast factory.  Often her visits had become more spontaneous, sometimes taking days he’d ever heard from her on the dot, and more frequently than not she would turn up unannounced out of the blue.  Would she figure he ever minded?  She knew somewhere, for their friendship had some type of strain when they first met, he probably would’ve thrown her out had she truly been a real annoyance to the giant fellow.

Throwing her arms back behind her as she’d clasp her hands together at the edges of her skirt, she lets out an amused giggle at the other’s expense.

“Ah, just experimenting a lil here with ya nose, PT.”  Vivi offers the other a light shrug.  “For a tough guy that always watches over this place like a hawk?  Would ya figure even a guard needs a bit of PDA to change up the pace a lil around here?”  As she spoke, she tilted her head a little with a touch of her playfulness.  “Ya always had this sorta gloom about ya I couldn’t help but notice sometimes.  Is it a problem for a gal to treat her pal a lil, eh?"

Vivy Prototype Vol. 1+2: The Primitive Progenitor

Vivy Prototype, due to circumstance, may be one of the most interesting and unique light novels I've read. It's not something that "has" an anime adaptation, nor is it a standalone novel, it's not even a screenplay or script for Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song.

Vivy Prototype is the apple tree from which the apple that is Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song falls from, and it doesn't fall far from it. Their relation is creator and creation, progenitor and product. It's important to note this because the two are at times vastly different products. Not just in terms of expression or execution of themes, but the very foundations of the purpose itself. The entire latter half of the second volume (written by Eji Umehara) has a completely different approach than what the anime reflects. Even the sentiment of the two divergent aspects are different, there's hardly a hair that holds them together.

And there's not really a better way to explain it. Vivy Prototype was the writing exercise for Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, and started all the way back in 2016 with a single meeting. At times you can tell how much they try to relay the visual aspect in the novels, to help probe their minds for what they want to see on screen, but there's also moments that are very dense in terms of writing. Things that end up really verbose and extraneous to the actual process of events, which thankfully got far more streamlined on the second time through. Stuff like the constant reference to the "positronic brain" of AIs, and other similar features remain incredibly prevalent, and there's a deeper level to Diva/Vivy's thought process. The latter can be interesting at times for better helping frame the thought process of the titular Songstress, but forces a different overall perspective on the events that takes away from Diva/Vivy's perception as an AI and character.

So far, Prototype has probably been the most interesting and fulfilling yet pointless read I've had. You get to see the writing process between the two creators of the story and where certain ideas may come from. You get to see what they believed to be important, what they thought they could do better, and what would and wouldn't work in motion. It's incredibly unique, and I don't really think there's anything else like it out there. If you enjoyed Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, then you'll find Vivy Prototype equally as interesting and engaging, as it better shapes your understanding of why things are the way they are, and how much effort went into translating the thought process into a visual reality.

more wing vivi because someone suggested that it would imply that Vivi was made as a waltz rather than as a generic soldier, thus explaining why he looks different from the other mage types, and...that makes a huge amount of sense actually.

i think the waltz encounters would go a lot differently if the waltzes recognized Vivi not just as ‘another black mage’ but their prototype/sibling.
