Don't let me down 6 : Reconciliation.

When they left the apartment, Miguel hadn't noticed that someone had followed them...

They first went to the florist. There she bought white tulips.

“Why tulips ?”

Normally, Miguel would have said something sarcastic to her, but he was too worried about her to be kidding.

Miguel had tried to work things out with Dana, a restaurant, and take vacations… It seemed like the wedding was on the way again, finally… That's what Dana believed, because the closer the days approached, the more her fiancé had doubts, especially after Gabriel refused to help her, and don’t talk to her anymore.

And for more dramatic information… During one of their missions, Sara and Miguel, discovered that Tyler Stone, the man who was at the origin of his misfortune, was also his real biological father.

The more time passed, the more things changed. New avengers, aliens, mutant monsters...

They often had a lot of distractions.

“He’s going to escape!”

"I know…"

She said, trying to follow the thief.

As he shoot, Sara was protected by Miguel.

He held her against the wall of a building, hiding from the enemy's next attacks. He had one hand on the wall near her face and the other on her hip.

Two sweaty bodies lay in a bed, Sara's bed.

She turned her back on her partner.

As always… Loneliness was already back. And she hated it.

Miguel stepped back surprised by her anger.

She froze and Miguel understood that he had not arrived at the right time.

She said, pushing him towards the window.

"Ouch."

"Stop…"

He looked at her as she tightened her grip on his hand.

“This is what I need right now.”

If she couldn't do anything to hold him back, she would do her best to protect him.

So first I gotta talk about how teleflora works.

Teleflora, ftd, bloomnet, and others are what we call a wire service or "order-gatherer." They often have smaller order gathering companies too but those can be hard to spot. They have no brick and mortar stores.

How do they sell flowers then?

They send them to actual florists within their network. Teleflora happens to be the largest and most well-known. Teleflora also does marketing and website management for florists in their network. That's why a lot of florists have similar looking websites.

For example, if you order, say, a dozen roses. At my shop, a dozen roses arranged is normally $100. That's no baby's breath. Roses average $5 bucks each, 12 is $60. Well labor is 30% so there's $30. That takes us to $90. Add in the $8 vase and you have two dollars left for greenery.

"Just don't add greenery" you say.

WRONG

Greenery is often times integral to the structure of a bouquet. (There are arrangements without them, but there are specific techniques you have to do)

For all intents and purposes, we need greenery.

This breakdown doesn't even include taxes and delivery.

My point is, flowers aren't as cheap as you (and teleflora) think they should be.

Now I've just checked the website, and a dozen roses with no bb (baby's breath) is $65!!!

Teleflora then takes out a service fee, and sends it (called a wire-in) to a brick and mortar shop.

I've worked at a few different shops that use teleflora. Some of them know to reprice and not accept teleflora's lowball price. Others, however, don't actually take the time to price out their own flowers. So they might be buying flowers for $2.5, and selling them for $2.

I feel like shops that fall into that are the ones that are really hands-off with pricing and web development. They're also hemorrhaging money and closing left and right.

Next, I'll talk about how Teleflora harasses their stores to accept these cheap arrangements.

In light of everything happening in California and people talking about the Resnicks and all the water they own, I feel like now is a good time to talk about how they own Teleflora too.

If you don't know anything about Teleflora, it's an awful, parasitic company. As someone who has worked in floristry for around 4 years, I can confidently say that florists hate them.

Evolution of the Red Planet

"Twenty million years ago, Mars was a water world. Iron-rich seas covered more than half the surface. A balmy, earth-like climate produced black-leaved rainforests and fertile prairies of redgrass and overtall mosses. The red planet's mammals dwelled in the oceans alone, living off scarlet seaweed, swimming shrews, and undersea reefs of every color. On the land, mollusks ruled, growing to great size and slithering across grassy fields and hanging from tree branches.

One of prehistory's great mass extinctions soon followed. Scholars of both planets call it the Great Dissipation. Martian water retreated. The worldwide temperature dropped to a frigid 6 degrees Celsius. Rivers dried up, seas of water turned to seas of sand. Water flourished only underground, where it remains in aquifers and subsurface lakes. The ice caps expanded to their present maximum, and a stable ice-house climate took hold.

The causes of this tumultuous event remain elusive. Some scientists believe the planet's lack of tectonic activity and eccentric orbit caused the planet to undergo rapid cooling, trapping much of its water in underground ice deposits. Others believe the planet's lack of a magnetic field is to blame; the Sun's radiation beats down on the Martian atmosphere, and bits and pieces of it fall away into space over the eons.

Regardless of the reason, the Dissipation brought the mammals of Mars out of the seas, and onto sand. The ancestors of Martian ruuk amah evolved from something like a feliniform seal.
