For the twins in time AU, I genuinely wonder what kind of people the young twins grow up into because of Stan’s/Ford’s influence. Especially if it takes years for the portal to get fixed.
(Sorry if it seems like I already sent this question, I don’t know if it got sent the first time I asked)
I haven’t fully fleshed out how Ford grows up in the past but I do have thoughts on Stan presently
#he’s still his goofy brash self as well#but I do think he gets an outlet for all that through monster hunting and trips and stuff#he does get comfortable here though…#I’m thinking we have something play out that’s similar to the science fair#where they get close to being able to send him home and he breaks something or maybe even purposely sabotages it…#and I think he sneaks out a lot too#maybe he uses the secret identities in that way like when he’s in town he’ll pretend to be Pinley pinington#and that’s how he develops his scammy/improv skills#FORD ON THE OTHER HAND#I think he might actually be MORE emotionally stunted because Stan tries so hard to protect him#that it goes the other way#they kind of become reliant on each other in a really unhealthy way or maybe Stan sort of steers ford away from his smart stuff#to prevent the future from happening#not maliciously but yk#like I said I haven’t fleshed his story out as fully yet so I will get back to you#but there are some interesting possibilities#my art#ask#gravity falls#twins in time au#Stan pines#Stanley pines

So he got them during a—let's say—crossroads of destiny *wink wink*#Those are his shame tattoos. He's terribly embarrassed by them so the Gaang tease him about them. (He's secretly very proud of them tho)#It's all about the duality inherent to fire (and himself!) as well as protection.#The red dragon has his back at all times. It protects Zuko from his past—from everything that he has left behind and is walking away from.#The Blue dragon guards him front unknown threats. It curls over his left arm (his most vulnerable side) and rests its head over Zuko's heart#It's all very symbolic#Zuko loves his tattoos but is also embarrassed and ashamed of how he got them. He was in a very bad place at the time.#If he got the chance to get his tattoos done *now*—he probably wouldn't do it.#He wouldn't change a thing tho. They're part of who he is. thinking about a whumpee being made to lead their captors back to their team. whumpee's lying, of course; why the hell would they lead the enemy straight to their friends when they have an opportunity to throw them off the trail?
so they lead the enemy away. arms bound, maybe even on a chain or rope so they can't try to run for it, followed like a bloodhound. every step they take brings the enemy further from their friends, but it also brings them further from their friends. viscerally aware that the chances of rescue go down the further they go, and having no plans for what happens when the enemy catches on. just hoping they can find a moment to escape before then.

A WIP of Manju, the founder of my clan's village!
#flightrising#frfanart#flight rising#fr coatl#fr art#I was having fun using a lot of color with this one which is unusual for me#I want to change this pretty heavily so I thought it would be fun to show what it looks like now#He is a self-exiled coatl that wandered the world looking for a place that felt like home#and found a small pocket of land where dragons avoided due to 'bad vibes'#the spirit of the wellspring of the region was corrupted#The water was poison#no plants would grow well#and thus the animals avoided the area#though he wasn't particularly magic inclined he was persistent#and was able to heal all of the corruption#but the damage was done and the previous spirit was too weak to heal from the wounds the shade caused#so upon the previous guardian's passing Manju absorbed the magic of the spring and became the region's new guardian#and in this newly protected region the Highlands clan set down their roots#This scene depicts him giving up his mortal life to become a guardian spirit#I'm also trying to come up with a new name for him that fits with my lair's naming scheme#but nothing ever feels quite right#I'm very open to suggestions!

Trying to find nice stuff for Wish but everywhere you go people are being painfully wrong in their interpretations of the movie

#honestly fabian might not even fully know yet#a core part of fabians character is that he is so deeply afraid of rejection that he is never going to pursue the people he actually wants#i do think he likes Maezy a lot but i think he only knows how to pursue hot toxic women that will discard him at a moments notice#which in a way protects him from ever actually dealing with heartbreak#is he a gay man dealing with comphet? ehh maybe#i could see that#but I think the vibe i get is more about how he has these platonic friends he completely adores and is fully devoted to#and then in another category he has the people that he does not have any actual attachment to that he will allow himself to pursue#and crossing the boundaries in between those two categories or allowing himself to pursue someone he really cares for#would require a level of vulnerability he is in no way prepared for#in his home life he has an emotionally detached mother who is well liked but kind of floats through interactions on a surface level#and a father who is extremely concerned with fame and glory and attention but doesnt seem to have ever stopped moving in his life#genuinely fabian does not know what a safe loving partnership would look like#and we see him constantly oscillating between emulating his mother and his father in relationships#but just beneath the surface is a little boy who wants so badly to cling to his loved ones so tight and be squeezed right back#with no way of knowing how to even ask for that if he wanted#and riz is his best friend in the world and he knows on some level that riz is simply not interested in having that kind of relationship#not on the level fabian needs#but that also makes riz a safe target for these feelings of devotion#theyre just friends! just besties! fabian never has to reckon with his own loneliness or harmful patterns#if he channels all of his yearning for closeness onto his best friend#anyway! this boy needs therapy#fhjy#fhjy spoilers#fabriz

because guys we've all talked about how Curly had to watch Anya die, but he had to watch Daisuke die too
like yes Curly watched Anya overdose but he also heard Daisuke calling for Anya as he crawled out of the vent. He might not have witnessed his actual death but he saw him all bloodied and distraught at being too late to save her
and I just think about how he felt. How guilty he must have been. You just watched the arguably two most vulnerable people in your crew die and you could have prevented it, but you didn't. You were charged with protecting them they were your responsibility but now they're gone and you get to watch
#I am not a curly defender as you can see#yeah I feel bad for the guy but also as a leader you should've protected them#the moment Anya told you about Jimmy idc how good of friends you are you should have given her the gun or you should have knocked him out#and locked him in one of the rooms with a lock and kept him there until everyone was safely back home#because as a captain you had to protect your crew and you should have realized the threat Jim posed not only to Anya but to Daisuke as well#both were vulnerable Anya as the only woman on the ship and Daisuke as a young man who is literally still a dependent and naive#so I think curly having to witness their deaths specifically is sad but also poetic in a way. the universe's karma#so curly was more than adeptly punished but you know who did not suffer enough?
