This big boy fell off the table right as I finished painting him, and he snapped clean in half, so I had to make some emergency repairs and then put a clamp on his arm to hold him in place while the glue dried.

It's been nearly a week. He's probably still there.

My Personal Homebrew Chapter: The Wraith Kings. The Forgotten 2nd Legion.

The Wraith Kings are an elusive and enigmatic chapter of Adeptus Astartes descended from the mysterious 2nd Lost Legion—one of the two legions whose records were erased during the early Great Crusade. Though their lineage remains officially lost to time, whispers across the Inquisition and the Librarius suggest their geneseed is terrifyingly pure and ancient, with psychic echoes of a primarch long thought removed from Imperial records.

Unlike most chapters, the Wraith Kings did not fall to treachery nor corruption. Instead, they vanished into the stars during the latter years of the Great Crusade, choosing self-exile to survive what they perceived as an inevitable schism between Emperor and sons. Hidden within the icy reaches of the Ghoul Stars Expanse, they lay dormant for millennia, conserving their numbers and meditating upon the veil between life and death.

The Wraith Kings are masters of the Ethereal Veil, a psychic sub-realm they harness in battle. Select warriors, known as Wraithseers, can phase in and out of realspace, pass through solid matter, and even summon the dead to fight beside them—ancestral warriors given spectral form.

Their spectral tactics are aided by ritual incantations passed down through generations. Their presence on the battlefield often causes vox static, temperature drops, and unexplained apparitions. Enemies speak of being hunted by silent figures who walk through walls and cold spirits that claw at their souls.

Their wargear is imbued with frost-based aetheric energy, causing their blades and armor to shimmer with runes and radiate a frigid aura.

Drawing deeply from ancient Chinese and Japanese traditions of Old Terra, the Wraith Kings honor familial bloodlines, ancestral spirits, and martial discipline. Their chapter blends samurai stoicism, shamanic ritualism, and imperial decorum, reflected in everything from battle oaths to their sacred architecture.

Their chapter symbol is a fanged skull crowned in ice, representing sovereignty over death and the silence that follows. Their color scheme—midnight blue and ghostly white—mirrors their homeworld’s frozen landscape and spectral legacy.

Name one idea for a plot you’ve had but never gotten around to writing.

The appropriately heroic death and subsequent Wraithseer animation of Eldrin Shadewalker. This small, tired little guy giving his life at long last to a cause to be reanimated by the same necromancy he was so abhorred for so he can continue to fight. No longer able to feel, brew tea or comfort those around him but be a powerful, revered warrior with strength he never had in life.

Oooh, it's a juicy tea, so much angst to be wrought from my lil guy.

Some call them CRYPTIC, others say they are INTUITIVE, but one thing is certain—their fate is bound to the sea. With their influence growing, they are set to either rule the waves or sink beneath them. Óína Charoi A bellicose Ghost House of Iyanden. Technically a cadet branch of the Óína Valor, their living members have mostly given themselves over to the aspects of Khaine. Their House Symbol is the old Aeldari rune from which they derive their name, which denotes strength both of will and body. Several worthies of Iyanden past remain in their Ghost Hall, as Wraithlords and Wraithseers.

In hindsight I should of tried to decide on a color scheme for my ynnari army before my wraithseer showed up. Tho I guess it doesn't really matter considering if I do things in order I have like 60 other models to build and paint.

Phantom Titan very cool but not very. Like. Aeldar. Huge giant robot doesn't seem to be their thing. Orks, T'au of course. Drukhari get a pirate ship. Why can't Craftworlds have like a whole foot-wide temple shrine of seers who collectively let you ret-con other players' moves or something?

But... huge giant (slightly skinny) robots are their thing? Wraithguard, Wraithlords, Wraithseer, Wraithknights, Wasps. A lot of Ws. Phantom Titan is big, yeah, but it's still proportionately Aeldari-looking.

A Seer Council on a giant flying shrine would be fun and cool, absolutely, but that doesn't mean that their walkers/robots/whatever aren't a well-established part of their lore and aesthetic.
