okay so.. what if instead of pursuing a Fist position Ulder decided to continue his father's work as a blacksmith in Baldur's Gate and taught Wyll how to do it as well

i haven’t thought much about mizora in this AU, but i love imagining that wyll has his own goals and dreams. yes, he loves his dad, but he still reads heroic tales and wishes he could travel the world. he knows his heart belongs to the people. there are bigger, more ambitious, and grander dreams than blacksmithing

maybe in this AU, he still meets mizora when the tiamat cult tries to destroy the city. when he sees the only chance to become a hero, he takes it. who knows

also, i’m thinking about blacksmith!Wyll meeting tailor!Astarion because my wyllstarion brain just won’t turn off. what if in this AU Wyll is the one fixing Karlach's engine instead of Dammon hmmm. much to think about

The audacity of this game to be like Wyll your father nearly died without knowing the truth about you and your relationship and you turned into a devil BUT☝️ the good news is you get a dragon!!!! Don’t forget to go get the dragon!!! Remember the dragon!!!

And so you do all this bullshit to go get the dragon and you have to show your courage and wisdom and cunning etc etc etc and prove you’re a hero and THEN you finally get to the DRAGON and it tries to FUCKING KILL YOU?!???!?!!!!!

I don’t know if this is just me, but isn’t it odd that Wyll has no “points” system like Gale/Astarion/Shadowheart for deciding whether or not to leave his pact? It’s the one thing that consistently bugs me the most about his story. He doesn’t even get to have an actual opinion, he just goes with whatever you say in that one moment regardless of past dialogues.

It’s so unfortunate to me that his story is so underserved that the game doesn’t even give him the illusion of autonomy.
