Hello Sonic fandom or more specifically the sonadow part of the fandom. I hope you like my babies! (Sonadow oc kids)

(Left to right) first up is Maria or as she’s likes to be called, Mary. She is obviously named after the Maria shadow knew. When naming her Sonic told shadow that he made Maria R. Dying wish come true by having this found family here with Sonic and the rest of the gang. So she was named Maria to honor her. Her personality is most like Shadow’s but with more sass, she is often around her brother Hans or her best friend Meimei(pronounced MeMe)who is a brownish chipmunk. Mary is about 18 while her brother is 15. She is very protective of her brother.

Next’s is Hans, Mary’s little brother. Hans is not like either of his parents, he is rather shy and not confident like his sister. He has barely any friends besides his sister and their uncle Tails. Hi so I have a question about cabin. When Lyle comes to visit and they are all sitting down for dinner he mentions that Mansk is on the case like in front of spider and Quaritch tells him to cheer up when his face drops. However when Z-Dog comes to visit and Spider brings up how Mansk is on the case, Quaritch is surprised and asks him how he knows that then spider admits to eavesdropping. So did Quaritch and spider forget this conversation was at dinner and Spider was there for that conversation? Or was it a manipulation tactic that Quaritch used to get him to admit to eavesdropping?

What would be Quaritch’s response be If spider replied by saying “what do you mean I was there when uncle Lyle told us” after Quaritch says “how do you know about Mansk

Also does Spider ever ask about his aunts and uncles who he hasn’t met yet or does Quaritch ever talk about them? Or does he just find out oh I have a new family member coming to visit who I’ve never heard of? Has he ever asked Quaritch “how many aunts and uncles do I have” Quaritch thinks and Spider is like omg that’s like too many people

I went and re-read the passages you mentioned and I’ll admit, you found a plot hole. Sincerely my bad. I’ll probably go in and change that. I actually go in and re edit my fics all the time. Sometimes when you’re writing your brain just autocorrects for you and you don’t notice mistakes until you’ve gotten some space from it. I’ve always been curious if people get notifications when I go in and change things so if someone wants to let me know I’d appreciate it.

As for your question, kinda a mix of both. Quaritch has mentioned them off handedly when telling Spider war stories but it wasn’t like, your uncle did this or your aunt did that. He was just calling them by their names. So it was easy for Spider to forget names he heard once or twice, especially if it was when Spider was bed bound and actively ignoring everything Quaritch told him. But Quaritch expects him to remember them which is why he just says, “this person is visiting today.” Quaritch just thinks Spider knows who he’s talking about not considering the circumstances under which he told his son about all these people or the fact that his son has A.D.H.D and can’t remember shit. After Lyle, Z and Ja come up Spider gets that every member of his dad’s squad are his aunts and uncles and just rolls with it. There are in fact too many of them and not all of them can come up anyway due to them being in important positions for Quaritch’s back up plans. So they both operate on a need to know basis. Quaritch says, “your uncle is coming up.”

“Which uncle?”

“Uncle Prager.”

“Who?”

Quaritch rolls his eyes, “you know. I rescued him from that prison camp and then he rewired a car to blow up to take out our enemies.”

Spider shakes his head, “I’ve never heard that story before in my life.”

Quaritch nearly groans, “yes you have. I told it to you when you were sick. Go sit in the livin’ room. I’ve got some photo albums here somewhere. I’ll tell y’a some stories y’a won’t soon be forgettin’.” But to the surprise of no one but his father Spider does repeatedly forget so many details of his dad’s stories. It drives Quaritch nuts but what can he do.
