unfortunately, I am brainrotting again on pokemon

<`^`>
character here is my main oc arashi! he has a story of his own completely unrelated to pokemon, but I'm obsessed with the silly creatures and I always make a pokemon au for all of my ocs
arashi is supposed to be a dragon type gym leader, but his team is the one he grew up with so he doesn't really care about not having a full dragon line up
a little preview of who the team is made of!
his espeon is named eclipse and always gets the princess treatment. she's strong but she doesn't really fight and she never goes into her pokeball (must travel on shoulder or bite ankles all the time yes yes); she's his first pokemon and she's been with him through it all
garchomp's name is qifri, and she often acts as some sort of protective mama when it comes to arashi
then we have shiva, the zoroark; alongside qifri, he's quite adamant in staying glued to arashi's side 24/7
talonflame's name is pancake and he's kind of a silly goober; in a way, both his and eclipse's calmness balance the unhinged personalities of qifri and shiva
hydreigon is, surprisingly, a chill guy that is only interested in sticking close to his beloved trainer. his name is nyx, and he has a deep respect for the team's strenght; wanting to protect his trainer gave him a reason to destroy
last but not least, we have the dragapult azrael, also known as darts (lol), that has the habit of watching from afar the team quarrels while monching on berries; he finds it hilarious how everyone is so different and yet they all assemble when someone approaches arashi

DUSTY FLYNN THE DRAGON DISASTER
male 20 Kanto Flying/Dragon Goldie's Shadow
---
He'd never be enough.
Goldie's gift—a dull blue egg pressed into his hands with false sympathy—hatched into a Dratini that stared at him with empty eyes. Tempest. A name that rang hollow when the creature flinched from battle, when Goldie's Gible made it cower without throwing a single punch.
"Pathetic," his sister sighed, and Dusty couldn't disagree.
The final humiliation came at Indigo Plateau. Her Garchomp yawned mid-battle. The crowd roared. Tempest didn't even struggle as it lost.
That night on Route 21, saltwater stung his cheeks as Tempest slithered into the waves without looking back. A Spearow's beak clamped onto his ear—Screech, the first Pokémon that ever fought for him.
Years passed in a haze of half-formed dreams. A battered Magikarp became Magnus, the Gyarados who forgot how to swim. Draco, the Tropius he tried to convince himself was a real dragon. Goldie's cast-off Dragonite rearranged his life with disapproving sighs. And Aria, the lovingly stupid Altaria that turned his life around.
Then came Squeaky.
The Noibat latched onto his nose in a pitch-black cave, screeching her claim. As she gnawed his finger, something unclenched in Dusty's chest.
Maybe he'd always be the 'Dragon Disaster'. Maybe he'd never be Goldie.
But this—this biting, squirming proof that something wanted him anyway—
This was enough.
-------------
Pokémon
ACE Aria - altaria - f - careful - she loves and adores her stupid little trainer. is a similar amount of stupid but owns it, and is actually rather protective of dusty when others bully him.
OTHERS "Nanny" - dragonite - f - sassy - a gift from his sister goldie, a former ace of hers. she acts as a patronizing mother of sorts to dusty and aria. Magnus - gyarados - m - modest - caught as a magikarp specifically to evolve into a gyarados. was just as excited as dusty when he evolved but barely knows how to use his own moves Draco - tropius - m - serious - one of the only serious mon on the team that almost seems to take his role on the team a little too seriously. Screech - fearow - m - adamant - found as a spearow by the young dusty, he has been one of the only constants in his team aside from magnus. goldie refers to him as the 'old man' of the team and his role is more of the father of the team as opposed to dragonite. Squeaky - noibat - f - gentle - a young noibat that's recently latched itself to dusty as a father of sorts and refuses to be in it's pokeball. dusty really cares for this mon.

Alright, I completed Gen 5. Yes with postgame.
Team was Emboar (Rash), Sawsbuck (Adamant), Beheeyem (Modest), Durant (Lax), Hydreigon (Docile), and Kyurem (Timid).
I have to admit, Kyurem is pretty ridiculous. Has access to Psychic and Shadow Ball, Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse are excellent STAB moves, comes in at level 75. It basically swept Cynthia. We got steamrolled pretty hard out the gate and Kyurem just bodied her. I did soft reset for a good nature using Master Ball, Timid likely played a role in outpacing Garchomp.
The League itself was a bit of a mess. Marshal gets Toughest Bastard trophy for kicking the hell out of my team until Kyurem dropped in, and being threatening even then. Weenie award sadly goes to Caitlin, who Beheeyem can set up on with Calm Mind forever. Though honestly, were it not for Sp Def drops, it would've happened to Shauntal as well.
Hydreigon was a test. See, I've never used it as intended in a main playthrough. The evolution levels are too high, the switch from physical to special hurts when you try to optimize natures, and Hustle is awful. But I really wanted to do it this time. It was. Not ideal. Admittedly, Hydreigon was not the world-beater I would've hoped for at any point in the run. Until its final evolution, it struggled. Zweilous actually did better in the first League run than Hydreigon did in the second. I blame this entirely on Dark Pulse being an egg-move only.
No, the real MVPs were Sawsbuck, Durant, and Beheeyem. Sawsbuck was just consistently excellent once it got off the ground, contributing to any fight that wasn't a sweep. Durant was just surprising. Lax felt painful, but I'm doing as stated and not rerolling for perfect natures, and it turned out to be hilarious. Rocky Helmet with +Def is really good, Durant has excellent speed and offense alongside this, and the -Sp Def doesn't matter given its horrid base Sp Def. Beheeyem was a last minute substitution, due to Swoobat consistently under-performing and being a disappointment. I've never used Beheeyem, I really wanted to give it a go once it turned out to be Modest, and I can safely say this was a good decision. Caitlin's Reuniclus has Thunder, which would've destroyed Swoobat, but Beheeyem had no trouble at all.
Emboar was great for most of the game, but really fell off against the League. Speed is a major problem, and it has few positive matchups to speak of. It did get a bit of a comeback against Alder, being able to survive a hit and roast Accelgor who is otherwise a massive problem. But on the whole is was just kinda okay. Sadly.
I was using Seismitoad, who I think has claim to being the worst Pokemon in the game. No I am not exaggerating. Its main problem is the shift to permanent TM use. Again, dead serious. See, in the olden times, you got your single-use TMs for shit like Ice Beam and Earthquake before the League. Here both are postgame exclusive and it offers virtually nothing until that point. Add in a rather unfortunate balanced stat-spread and it contributes very little. I was super disappointed. It was even unlucky and never hit the Poison chance on Sludge Bomb.
Overall, this was a lot more fun after a break, and coming back to the Lucky Egg being handed to me. That really changes the feel of the game. Also fun fact, this was the second fastest clear time of any of the games, losing only the Blue. So that's. Interesting. It felt way longer.
All that said, no intention to do BW2 right now. We're going to Y.

If you had to pick a pokemon (new and old) plus its nature (for the definition of like... Adamant for example not the stats olit effects nw I'm not that mean lol) for Dingo, Hound, Vulture, Hyena, and Red
(for the record I'm still keeping my Mabosstiff with a quiet nature named Dingo lol I was just curious of your own thoughts)
Imma be real and leave the natures out bc that's nothing I ever kept up on lol
I also don't know any of the new pokemon... except the new wooper. blessed baby.
Falcon would be Garchomp. Fast and mean.
Hound is a Mightyena!
Hyena is a Cofagrigus.
Vulture i think would be Duskclops. Maybe Dusknoir.
And Dingo? HMMM midnight form Lycanroc

Indigo Disk E4 (plus Champion), their Trials and Party Members
I was hoping to help people as I didn't have any real help during the DLC, so I wrote a rough list of each of the Indigo Disk's Elite Four and their teams, trials and whatever moves I was made aware of during my battle with them. So here it is below. Be warned, this is unbelievably long as I also make notes at certain points for tips and help
Chrispin, the fourth and lowest member of the Elite Four:
Trial before battle; make a super spicy sandwich (as written by game08 below)
Onion Chili Sauce Jalapeno Chorizo Mustard
After the trial and onto the battle under here;
Party Members: Talonflame (uses sunny day, perfect for WW and Hydro Steam and also uses Brave Bird too, so no Ogerpon during the beginning), Fire-type Rotom, Exeggutor, Camerupt, Magmortar, Blaziken (Teras into a fire type, speed boost, focus blast and a real ass tbh)
Best Pokemon here would be, at least from my experience, Walking Wake (if you have it, that is, I don't know of any good replacement for WW if you don't have him. Maybe Azumarill?) and Garchomp (Ground Tera type and Adamant nature: Bulldoze (or Earthquake), Sword Dance, Rock Tomb, and Dragon Claw) alongside maybe Water type (Wellspring mask) Ogrepon.
AN: I say maybe Earthquake as it will also hurt your second party member you throw out unless they're a flying type, so that's why I mentioned Bulldoze instead as a less strong alternative making sure you do accidentally KO your own Pokemon in the process.
-------------------
Drayton, the dragon-type elite four is the second rank under Kieran.
Trial: Use no Pokemon that weren't from the Terariaum or weren't caught from you (like Pokemon from other games for example) and fight three people. From my experience, have a Duraludon and an Abomasnow. Both are at level 80-86-ish for being able to beat this easily.
AN: Abomnasnow (Lax nature with Ice Punch, Blizzard and Sheer cold) should hold Leftovers and use Ingrain every time you enter a battle to slowly regain health and then take it from there whilst the Duraludon I used has a Quiet Nature and has: Dragon Claw, Flash Cannon, Metal Busrt and Breaking Swipe. I hope this has helped a little, and if the Pokemon you catch don't have those above natures you could either use a mint or just hope it doesn't play any part in the battle :p
Party members: Dragonite, Flygon, Kingdra, Haxorus (focus sash, earthquake), Sceptile, Archaludon (dragon-tera type)
AN: Zacian is perfect for most, if not all of these people with small bits of tinkering, obviously. But Zacian is literally unstoppable.
--------------------
Amaryas: the steel type elite four (she is fucking weiiierdd…. like real weird.)
Her trial: Fly through rings on your mount around the terrarium and there are Magnemite ones that add more time to your counter. Get to the goal in time and you succeed.
Her party members; Skarmory (rocky helmet, stealth rock), Alolan Digglett (focus sash and earthquake), Scizor (bullet punch), Runiclus (leftovers, protect), Empoleon, Metagross (steel tera type, headbutt, hard press)
(AN: Be very careful when going against her Metagross, it knows Hard Press, a move that could more than definitely OHKO and likely could since it does the most damage with full health. And if you aren't fortunate and or weak to it? She'll likely sweep you clean. I used my Zacian (Adamant Nature, Crowned: Sword Dance, Sacred Sword, Behemoth Blade and Crunch) and my Slither Wing against her (Adamant nature: Superpower, Leech Life, Low Sweep and Bulk Up) for the most part before having to eventually bring out Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon to take over due to Cranberry fainting who helped ease through Metagross and Runiclus while Zacian handles Empoleon and some of the others.)
------------------------
Lacey, the fairy type elite four, and the third strongest:
Her trial: A Pokemon quiz!
What part of the body does Pikachu store electricity in? Answer: cheeks. Pikachu stores the electricity in their cheeks.
What part does Venonat's body act as a radar? Answer: The eyes. Its eyes are like radars!
Which Sinistea is an antique and not a phony? Answer: the middle one, the middle has a mark of authenticity on the bottom when it spins around.
Which minior is the pink one? Answer: the one on the middle-ish bottom right-hand side of the screen.
Which part of Granbull does Lacey use as a pillow? Answer: the tummy/stomach area.
Team/party members: Granbull, Whimsicott (focus sash, light screen), Slowbro (quick draw, tailwind, flamethrower, sitrus berry), Primarina, Alcremie (alluring voice, leftovers) Excadrill (fairy tera type, high horsepower)
(long AN: Again Zacian comes in helpful here, while i'd also recommend also having a Tinkaton with you to help try and sweep her, while trying to take as little damage as possible. (Tinkaton, Naive nature with Steel Tera type: Gigaton hammer, Metal claw, Draining kiss and Sword dance) whilst Zacian has an Adamant nature like earlier with fairy type: Behemoth blade, sword dance, metal claw and play rough in case. She does use her Excadrill as mentioned before and I recommend having something that can be strong against fairy but not faint to ground as I was lucky enough to have high friendship with both and they dodged it and was able to KO the ground type. Or you could give Tinkaton a Focus sash in case it does hit and be left with one HP while Zacian still holds the Rusted sword
---------------
Champion Kieran:
His team: Dragonite, Politoed, Incineroar, Grimmsnarl holds a Focus Sash, Porygon-z, Hydrapple (Teras his Hydrapple to become a fighting type; an Iron Valiant or Zacian does wonders with his team is used right)
AN: I literally had no business beating his ass with two Fairy types but succeed. Iron Valiant (Adamant Nature, Fairy Tera type: Moonblast, Sword Dance, Spirit Break and Drain Punch) with my Zacian now mainly running Fairy and fighting over steel instead. (Adamant nature, Fairy tera type: Sword dance, Sacred sword, and Play Rough with Poison Jab)
And unfortunately, your Pokemon don't get ribbons or anything of the sort from winning so a major bummer, but whatever I guess. Plus, Kieran has no right to walk about with Pokemon who literally get for the most part OHKO'd, seriously. It makes you wonder what the others who fought him were using to get him to such a high ground or grandeur to think he was unstoppable.
#help#guide#i know this is a bit late but to those who don't want to accidentally run into spoilers#here you go#i hope i helped a little. and you have any more to add you're than welcome to add#ashestoshadows#pokemon violet#nintendo#pokemon#scarvio#indigo disk#long post#very long post

HOLD ON I CAN VERIFY THIS!
Houndoom is part of the Field egg group exclusively, which includes most loads of mammals and mammaloids, plus a few reptiles and birds. It's a HUGE egg group. Eevee and its evolutions are also exclusively in the Field group. The Field group includes a number of mammalian and even avian and reptilian starter Pokémon (Skeledirge what the fuck are you doing here), and a quick check reveals Meowscarada's membership as well.
Garchomp is Monster/Dragon, Noivern is Flying/Dragon (just like its type lmao), and Bisharp is Human-like.
Therefore, we can assume the fathers are Kaz and Adam!
Congratulations on the puppies! Check Kaz and Adam's movesets and compare them to the pups' moves after birth to see if any Egg Moves got passed along. If there are any matches and the moves aren't something a Houndour can be born with, you can verify the paternity of each individual!
Playing pokemon today and had a nice little picnic and I left it running for 5 minutes when I went to pee, and I came back to 6 fucking eggs in my basket. This is my party.
They are all male except my goddamn houndoom. I have 6 houndour eggs from when I looked away for a couple of minutes, and as someone with no idea about egg groups I have no idea who the father is.
Slut Shame Her.

Sam and Adam vs Drey: First and Final Gym Battle!
[Video ID: The Unova Sports Programing Network flies into screen and cuts to two balding men in behind a comically large desk. “You’re watching USPN. Your Unova, Your Sports, all the time!” The stinger declares, before the man on the left begins to speak.
“Hello and welcome back to our coverage of the 2023 Fall Battling Season. Today, we’ve got a match even Champion Iris is excited to see, featuring the final gym battle of this season’s breakout rookie, the Dragon Witch Samara!”
“That’s right Tom. Iris herself has been spotted in the stands at the Undella Town gym.” James notes, as a cut-in displays Iris eagerly snacking on popcorn on the stands. “Seems she’s looking to eye up a potential challenger to her title.”
“I don’t think the Dragon Witch is quite on that level James, but she’s certainly been putting on some of the more explosive battles this season, and this time she’s brought a partner.” The video shows Samara and Adam proceeding through the gym challenge together. “No less than Adam Lodestar, the FLIP agent who exposed their blackmail and punched Reshiram in the face.”
“I’ll give her this much; she certainly knows how to get people talking. Wrecking Skyla’s gym, training under Drayden just to nearly level his, and now showing up with a zero-badge maverick as her partner for the doubles focused gym.”
“It’s not a bad strategy. Adam’s old job at FLIP does make him an expert at handling multiple pokemon at once, though how well that translates to battling is yet to be seen. Some people are suggesting she’s deliberately trying to throw off Drey’s strategy by bringing in a zero-badge trainer who nobody knows outside of what he can do, rather than his pokemon. Of course I highly doubt Drey’s going to fall for that kind of trick.”
“I think it might also be because of his unique pokemon. Taking a look at Adam’s setup, he’s got access to a Tinkaton as well as an extremely rare paradox pokemon, Flutter Mane.”
“That kind of just looks like a green misdraevus to me. Sure it’s not just a shiny?”
“No that’s just what they used to look like a few thousand years ago. It’s also a lot more powerful than a standard Misdraevus. Check these stats.”
Jesse spits out his coffee. “You’ve got to be pulling my leg here.”
“Nope that’s what its stats are.”
“Arc, well with firepower like that it doesn’t matter if Adam’s a rookie or not. Plus, Tinkaton have been making waves in the international scene ever since Paldea was admitted to the World Tournament. And Garchomp, well, needs no introduction.”
“Well we’re about to see if raw power can make up for a lack of experience. Here they come.”
The two challengers face off against Drey, who awaits them on the central platform. They shake hands, and exchange a few words.
“Bout time you came by Sam. I’m a little flattered you decided to save me for last.” Drey notes. “But don’t think I’ll go easy on you.”
“Please, I came here last precisely so you wouldn’t.” Sam grins. “You’re one of the strongest trainers I know. So, if I’m really ready to take on the top, best way to test is challenging you at your best. Besides, this way Mordred finally gets to have some fun with Unavo.”
Drey gulps slightly, and then notices Adam’s a bit nervous. He claps the FLIP agent on the shoulder. “You’ll be fine, let’s have some fun with it.”
Adam draws in a breath, and nods, a grin spreading across his face. “Yeah, lets do this.”
The combatants return to their starting positions, each one grasping a pokeball, or in Drey’s case, two. “Alright then, LET’S GO!” Drey roars in excitement, and the crowd goes wild as the sides deploy.
“And Drey’s starting with his standard 8-badge lead, Samurot and Volcarona! Sam’s got her Goodra on the field, and there’s Adam’s Tinkaton!”
“I’m not sure on using Tinkaton here James, it’s rather vulnerable to Volcarona and limited in its use against Samurot. Goodra is a decent lead into this, maybe she’ll go for Scald to burn Samurot and weaken his attack?”
“Could also see a Draco meteor to try to quickly eliminate the Volcorona but No! Too slow, that’s a Fiery Dance headed straight for Adam’s Tinkaton!”
Drey’s Volcorona flies swiftly to the side, and fires off a blast of fire at Tinkaton, but Sam’s Goodra quickly intercepts. The goodra propels itself in front of the blast using a Scald, and then surrounds its body in the steaming water. The oncoming fire strikes the water shield, detonating it into a powerful blast of steam which damages the opposing team.
“What’s this? A pseudomove! He’s turned Scald into a sort of protect!”
“Closer to a Shell Trap Tom. She must have been impressed with Drayden’s use of the move. But it’s only one use, and here comes Samurot with Razor Shell!”
Samurot rapidly closes in on the recovering Goodra, only to be suddenly intercepted by Tinkaton. Her hammer comes down hard, the impact leaving a crater in the field and blowing away the steam. However, it failed to make contact, as Samurot stopped short, leaping back to avoid the devastating crash.
“That power.” James mutters. “Even with a resistance to Steel, Samurot can’t afford to take a hit like that head on.”
“How do they manage to pack so much muscle in such a small pokemon?”
The two teams remain at a tense standoff for a moment, Drey’s brow furrowed. “That pseudomove combines the defensive power of a Protect with a retaliation similar to Shell Trap, though far weaker. Even still, there’s got to be a restriction for how it works. In order to activate the retaliation, the water has to be detonated, probably with a fire move or one that makes physical contact. So, Appie! Bug Buzz on Gawain. Backlash close in and finish him off with another Razor Shell while Bonk’s recovering.”
The Volcorona and Samurot comply, rapidly moving to assault the Goodra. Powerful sonic waves from the flame moth bombard the goo dragon, pinning him down as Samurott blurs past the tinkaton. However, Bonk simply grins, and her hammer cracks slightly. Whirling, she pulls another hammer, this one made of wood, out of the first hammer, and catches Samurott off guard, sending him flying. “Supplies!” She declares gleefully, probably trying to say “surprise”.
“Was that wood hammer? Yes our sensors say it was, and it’s super effective!” Tom cheers. “Samurott is outa’ here!”
“Forget outa’ here he’s outa the ballpark. Arm like that she’s gonna get drafted for the Castelia Charizards.”
“They’d still lose with that pitcher of theirs.”
“Oh, probably but it’d make their matches a lot more fun.”
Gawain stands up from under the barrage of noise from Appie, and raises his hands above his head. Gathering a massive amount of dragon energy into a ball, he hurls it at the moth. She manages to evade the ball, but not its resulting explosion, which covers half the field and sends her smoking to the ground.
“Draco meteor. Even neutral the sheer firepower of that attack makes it a great ace in the hole.”
“True, though Unavo’s on the other side, so soon Sam’s going to see the receiving end of that move perfected. Still, round 1 to the challengers.”
Drey smiles widely, and then frowns slightly when he sees a pair of evil grins spreading across Sam and Adam’s faces. His eyes narrow. “You two are up to something aren’t you.”
“Absolutely.” Sam returns. “But there’s no running from a trainer battle. Least of all as a gym leader.” Sam has begun to radiate a powerful menacing aura.
Adam grins. “Come on Drey, you said we should have some fun right?”
Drey stares. “That I did, alright let’s do this. Luka, Lumineer, burn em down!” He declares as he sends out his houndoom and chandelure.
“Lancelot!” Sam declares.
“Gash!” Adam answers, and they both send out their Garchomp, and then as one issue an order.
“Bring the house down! Double Earthquake!”
The Garchomp leap from their balls, and slam down with earth shattering force. The entire building shakes as the arena buckles and sways like a calm pond with a pair of stones thrown into it. However, the reaction quickly slips out of control, tearing the arena apart and leaving a massive cloud of dust. As it clears, the announcer’s reaction is incredulous. “They’ve destroyed everything in the arena! Including each other!”
“Whoops.” Adam comments.
Indeed, both Garchomp are unconscious, as are Drey’s pokemon. Drey looks at the utter mess the two have made of his gym, and then at the two of them. “Guys, have you not used earthquake in a double battle before?”
The expressions of Sam and Adam indicate that they haven’t. “Usually my team knows how to avoid it.” Adam offers.
Drey busts out laughing, and soon the others join him, and all recall their pokemon. Despite the chaos, it’s clear all involved have been having a great time. “Guys, I set aside funds for repairs but can we please not level my entire gym?”
“Well it was mostly supposed to just sink the battle platform.” Sam admitted. “Thunder can’t miss if you’re up to your knees in water.”
“Honestly, not a terrible plan, though come on! This is taxpayer funded!”
“Good, I’m finally getting my money’s worth!” Sam replies. “Alright enough of this, ready to finish things off?”
“Yeah. Alright. Unavo! Hibachi!”
“Phantasma!”
“Mordred!”
All three trainers send out their aces, after which the arena is filled with evil chuckling. “FOOLS!” Unavo declares. “NOW YOU WILL FACE YOUR DOOM! COMANDER ABILITY ACTIVATE. FUSION HA- HEY!” His monologue turns to protest as Mordred seemingly teleports to the fish and hauls him into the air, far from Hibachi. “PUT ME DOWN! YOU CAN’T JUST INTERUPT AN ABILITY!”
“Celerity. Psuedomove of psychic mimicking extreme speed. So yes, I can, especially when you monologue. All yours Adam!” Mordred replies, tossing Unavo up into the air. Adam orders a Moonblast, which hits Unavo squarely in the body and sends him flying.
And then, he gets back up, laughing maniacally. “FOOL! BEHOLD, THE COLD IRON BRACER! MY LATEST INVENTION. IT RENDERS ME UTTERLY IMMUNE TO FAIRY-TYPE ATTACKS!” He grins, displaying what appears to be a metal belt.
“Hibachi, order up.” Drey commands, as his Dodonzo moves to strike Mordred with his tail, but the bat dragon evades.
“Not a bad move, would have put me flat on my a** if it hit, but too slow.” Mordred remarks, before striking Hibachi across the face with an electric move of some kind and retreating. Curiously, the move seems to have no effect on the water type.
“And we’ve got more than just moonblast ya D*mn fish! Energy Ball!” Adam orders, and Unavo dives off the side of the platform, barely evading the attack before leaping back out and firing off a Chilling Water at Phantasma. She Whooo’s angrily in response, and readies another attack, but is too late.
Hibachi and Unavo reach one another, and combine, the smaller fish dragon nesting safely in the larger one’s mouth. “Alright, now it’s over!” Drey declares. “Over-Order!”
Unavo conjures a similar spirit bomb of dragon energy, and tosses it into the air, as it comes back down, Hibachi strikes it with his tail and sends it rocketing at Mordred.
“There it is, Unavo’s ultimate pseudo-move, a perfected draco meteor!” Tom declares, as a massive explosion fills the arena.
“I mean, it’s a good draco meteor, faster than normal, but it’s still slow, too much time dedicated to looking good.” Mordred notes, standing to the side, not deleted by a Draco Meteor. “All flash, no substance.”
“What, HOW?”
“Celerity. I swapped with Phan.” Mordred replies, indicating the spook hovering happily in the midst of the purple flames, completely unaffected by them, but slightly confused as to how she got to her new position. “Now then, another one with a bit of flash and substance.”
Static electricity begins to gather on Hibachi’s skin, concentrated around the area Mordred hit earlier. “Hibachi move!” Drey orders, sending the fish moving at top speed.
“Sorry, but this one never misses. Imminent Strike. Open.”
A massive bolt of lightning tears down out of the heavens, as the static on Hibachi’s body catalyzes and leaps upwards to meet it. An unavoidable and devastating bolt of lightning hammers down on the combined fish. “Pseudomove of Thunder.” Mordred explains. “Takes a turn of making contact with the target to set up, but then, one round later. Boom. Since you combined, conducts nicely, especially with that iron bracer of yours Unavo.”
Said iron bracer somehow explodes, KOing Hibachi and sending Unavo flying. He manages to get to his feet, ranting. “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THAT- uh oh.” He notes, as Adam directs Phan’s attention to him with a laser pointer. The arena turns pink with the light of a Moonblast, and Unavo is down.
The crowd cheers, including apparently Bonk, who somehow during all of this snuck off and found some pom poms. With the cheers of the crowd and a cheerleader Tinkaton in their ears, both trainers are awarded their badges. Adam receiving a badge seems to deeply confuse him, but he shrugs after Drey explains it to him.
“Well there you have it, Badge 8 for the Dragon Witch, and Badge 1 for the Dragon Puncher.” Tom remarks. “Looks like Iris might have a challenger fairly soon.”
“Oh she knows and she’s excited. Take a look.” James notes, as the camera zooms in on Iris, a massive grin on her face, eyes fixed on Sam. Sam’s expression upon noticing this is best compared to a deer in the headlights, and she rapidly leaves the arena, suddenly covered in sweat.

Triot's New Anti-Shiny Breeding Law
So, for those of you who don't know, Triot has become the first region to outlaw mass breeding, especially shiny breeding.
I don't get why people see this law as draconian. Considering how much mass breeding decimates ecosystems, I think the practice needs to be outlawed in more places. I don't care if you need a Max IV Adamant Garchomp to win this next tournament, it doesn't justify bringing hundreds of Pokémon into the world just to release them on a fragile ecosystem.
And don't get me started on all the health problems shiny Pokémon have. Oooh, you're Pokémon's shiny, yeah, but it also has a fucked up immune system.
On a more positive note, I've got all the supplies needed to start my journey from Buttermilk Town to Creamport City! Wish me luck!
