... anyway, last beast ganondorf design poll
i merged both the old and newer design (left in the flowing mane but added the split open back with the spine showing and that mist coming out, plus some fur marking adjustment), so now the only thing to decide is whether the red fur should run along his back or on his belly
(red on back, no magic charge, which is the majority of the time-black braids-, and while charging magic -glowing braids-)
and reversed version (belly red) the big malice arms color fits the other phases of the battle better here (in his human form he 'rebuilds' his missing arm with malice in phase 2, which is revealed to be 'taken' from his beast form)

I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?
I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.
thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.
that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

#dipplin#onto the DLC 'mons! i don't really like calling the hidden treasure of area zero a “dlc” just because of the negative connotation of#the word. “DLC” is always such a gross thing in modern games most of the time#whereas i'd consider sv's dlc to be more like an expansion. honestly‚ if i had to describe it‚ it's basically a fucking sequel#it's SO much content. and the story is SO damn good. way better than the base game#the characters are AMAZING kieran my belovèd. if you haven't played the sv dlc but you did play sv for some reason#and you've been avoiding it because it's a “DLC” and we don't like those#trust me. you'll love it#also‚ right after this is Not hydrapple‚ because that was added in the second half of the dlc so has a higher natdex number#actually that raises a good question for me. what the hell happens if you buy the dlc nowadays between the two halves??#like i remember there being a real life time gap in between the first half of the dlc and the second half#that was basically equivalent to the amount of time that passed in game. does it just timeskip to “a few months later”??#strange…

So what if I said season 1 and season 7 of TDP are my favorites. Can you blame me?
And I'm tired of having to pretend those are some of the worst seasons of their retrospective arcs.
#the dragon prince#tdp#that's when viren and aaravos's characters were peak#and now I'm thinking about it that's kinda funny for me to believe#since those two seasons were when they weren't in each others lives#anyways idc about the choppy animation of s1#I actually think s1 has some the best lighting and visuals despite the animation#and after rewatching that season so many times I only noticed the animation quality after I saw a commentary ytber clown on it#ig I was too immersed in the storyline#but seriously so many shows have rough first seasons cuz they're just trying to figure out what works and how to start off the main story#but I think tdp is an exception by miles#the story telling structure of s1 is so well down for a first season and whenever I look back after learning so much since then#I still think the first season did a phenomenal job setting up the series and its main conflicts#like a really fucking good job#and I'm so annoyed by the old commentary videos that came out when it first released cuz none of them got the themes#and even now ppl still act like it was the worst of arc 1 or at least mediocre compared to the rest and just#I still put s1 over s3#sorry I said it#and in terms of s7 yeah whatever have your complaints about it as a final season and how well of it job it did at being one#as its own season regardless of being a final it is probably my second favorite in the series#ik ppl will say s6 structurally and story wise is the best but I genuinely think s7 was better for arc 2#as much as it didn't resolve there was still so much it did and even added more clarity to#like I am still amazed at how they completely changed my mind on claudia and what type of character she is#and I'm still so thankful with the direction they went for aaravos it was so fitting and that was always the personality and motives#that I've always attributed to him
