A certain paragraph caught my attention in the recent Super Mario edition of TIME Magazine:
Tumblr media
Considering game sales alone, the Mario video game franchise has sold more than 900 million units worldwide across more than 200 games, making it the best-selling video game franchise of all time. The primary Super Mario series has sold more than 495 million copies worldwide.
The article (Still Super After All These Years, by Courtney Mifsud Intreglia) clearly distinguishes the sales of the Mario video game franchise and the primary Super Mario series. And since an actual number was provided, this implies it's based on some list of games. Where did this number come from? Did the author source it from somewhere, or does TIME keep an official list of mainline Super Mario games? It's likely the former from what I've found, but the probable source does have some interesting inclusions! (Long post below the fold.)
The source
I'm pretty sure this number comes from the Video Game Sales Fandom Wiki page for Mario:
Tumblr media
This wiki does provide a list of sources, in the form of a table totalling to 497,719,019 unit sales. Where this is the top result when Googling "Super Mario series sales" I have little doubt this is the source of the TIME article's claim. (To cover my bases, I confirmed that the summary text in the wiki was updated in August 2024, so it pre-dates the TIME article's release in March 2025.)
So, what games does this wiki article include as part of the mainline Super Mario series? Full list incoming, followed by some inclusions I find notable:
The list
Super Mario Bros. (NES, 1985)
Super Mario Bros. (Game & Watch, 1986)
VS. Super Mario Bros. / VS. Mario's Adventure (Arcade, 1986)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES / Wii, 1993)
Super Mario Bros. DX (GBC, 1999)
Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros. (GBA, 2004)
Super Mario Bros. (Wii (VC), 2006)
Super Mario Bros. (NES Classic Edition, 2016)
Super Mario Bros. 2 / The Lost Levels (FDS, 1986)
Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic (FDS, 1987)
Super Mario Bros. 2 / Super Mario USA (NES, 1988)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES / Wii, 1993)
Super Mario Bros. DX (GBC, 1999)
Super Mario Advance (GBA, 2001)
Famicom Mini Series: Super Mario Bros. 2 (GBA , 2004)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES Classic Edition, 2016)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES, 1988)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES / Wii , 1993)
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (GBA , 2003)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (Wii (VC) , 2007)

Super Mario Land (GB, 1989)
Super Mario Land (3DS (VC), 2011)
Super Mario World (SNES, 1990)
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (GBA, 2001)
Super Mario World (Wii (VC) , 2006)
Super Mario World (Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary Edition) (Wii, 2010)
Super Mario World (SNES Classic Edition, 2017)
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (GB, 1992)
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (GB, 1994)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES, 1993)
Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary Edition (Wii, 2010)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES, 1995)
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island (GBA, 2002)
Super Mario 64 (N64, 1996)
Super Mario 64 DS (NDS, 2004)
Super Mario 64 (Wii (VC), 2006)
Super Mario 64 (Super Mario 3D All-Stars) (Switch, 2020)
Super Mario Sunshine (GCN, 2002)
Super Mario Sunshine (Super Mario 3D All-Stars) (Switch, 2020)
New Super Mario Bros. (NDS, 2006)
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS, 2012)
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, 2007)
Super Mario Galaxy (Super Mario 3D All-Stars) (Switch, 2020)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii, 2009)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii, 2010)
Super Mario 3D Land (3DS, 2011)
New Super Mario Bros. U (Wii U, 2012)
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (Switch, 2019)

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch, 2021)
Super Mario Maker (Wii U, 2015)
Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS (3DS, 2016)
Super Mario Run (Mobile, 2016)
Super Mario Odyssey (Switch, 2017)
Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch, 2019)
Super Mario 3D All-Stars (Switch, 2020)
Super Mario Bros. Wonder (Switch, 2023)
how many Super Mario games are there (according to this specific wiki article)?
While each game is listed in its own line in the table, this doesn't necessarily mean the wiki is suggesting there are 59 distinct Super Mario games. The table groups reissues into 20 categories, which seems reasonable given that the goal is to count sales of specific versions. So, is it saying there are exactly 20 games? ...probably not.
It doesn't seem like every category is meant to represent a distinct game. (Why are Super Mario Lands 2 and 3 in the same category, but Super Mario Land is in its own category?) In any case, the final category includes the last 5 games on the above list. I really doubt anyone seriously thinks Super Mario Run and Super Mario Odyssey are the same game, and that both are reissues of a game called "Later games"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, still no idea. Probably more than 20.
Notable inclusions and exclusions
The second item on the list, in the same category as Super Mario Bros. (NES, 1985) is Super Mario Bros (Game & Watch, 1986). Guess it's mainline after all!
Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. (2020) is not included, though, nor is the Super Mario Bros. Nelsonic Game Watch (1989).
This list includes Doki Doki Panic as its own game in the Super Mario Bros. 2 category. That's pretty fun.
Both Wario Land and Yoshi's Island are in there, though not any of the sequels in their respective sub-series.
New Super Mario Bros. U, U Deluxe, and New Super Luigi U are all included, but not New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U.
Looking through the edit history it appears that Super Mario Bros. Wonder was added to the list of mainline games on June 25, 2023, 117 days before it was released. (No sales data at that time, of course.) Fandom user MarioFanYT is more on the ball than whoever runs the official Mario website
Wait, why are there multiples of some games?
You might have noticed that some games are counted more than once in the above list. Super Mario 3D All-Stars shows up 4 times! This happens because the table places compilations of games into the categories for each game it contains, as well as in its own category. So 3D All-Stars is counted as part of the subtotals for Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and in its own row. Other compilations work similarly.
It seems weird to count each sale of 3D All-Stars as four separate game sales, but maybe the wiki accounts for that in the total. If that were the case, you'd expect the Grand Total to be less than the sum of the separate subtotals, and that is indeed the case.
Sum of subtotals: 515,759,019
Grand Total: 497,719,019
It looked like it might be removing the duplicates, but after looking at it myself in a spreadsheet I get a value of 438,669,019 sales when duplicates are removed. Digging a little deeper, I found a mistake in the wiki's subtotal for Super Mario 3D World, which sums the Wii U game's 5,880,000 with the Switch's 13,470,000 to get only 19,050,000, which loses 300k sales somewhere. This still doesn't account for the difference in my results, but suggests there may be other errors in the wiki's.
It's possible I've made a mistake somewhere, but I haven't been able to get that 497.7 million count with any changes to what I do or don't count as a duplicate.
Conclusions?
This post was originally going to be just a screenshot of the magazine article and a little blurb like "I wonder what games TIME Magazine considers to be mainline?" It's ballooned out from there a little bit. I'm not sure if there's any real conclusions to be drawn.
Should Courtney Mifsud Intreglia have put the same work into fact-checking that "495 million sales" number that I did, correcting it to "over 438 million"? Uh, no, definitely not. The rest of her article is a broad overview of Mario's cultural impact, and the precise sales figure is not relevant to the article's point. Besides, the idea of trying to define how many mainline Mario games have been sold requires defining how many mainline Mario games exist (which is senseless, 'cause there's no consensus) so any number in the article would have been subject to interpretation.
Do I have some call-to-action for the Video Game Sales Wiki? Not really. In general, I am not very invested in the accurate reporting of video game sales on a Fandom wiki. Maybe I'll edit the page myself if I still care by tomorrow. (By the way, the Super Mario Wiki article on Super Mario (franchise) cites a 330 million unit sales figure, but that's from a 2015 blog post by Nintendo so it would be out of date in 2025.)
Mostly, I'm just trying to document the rabbit hole I've been falling down for the last 5 hours or so today, and this blog seems like a good place to put it. I've been thinking of making more posts documenting "in the wild" lists of mainline Super Mario games, but it'll depend on whether there's enough out there that I find interesting enough to post. In any case, I probably won't be making many more posts of this length - sorry if you only followed for the daily timeline posts and weren't expecting a wall of text!
For anyone who's read the whole thing (or even skimmed it), I hope you enjoyed it at least partly as much as I had fun putting it together!

Ozz! I'm trying to get into drawing, but I'm absolutely horrid at it and have no idea where to begin. Do you have any tips for beginners? Also, what program do you use? I've heard Krita is good, have you heard of it?
Also, also, remember to hydrate properly and get a good amount of sleep and do lots of self-care! <33 we love you and your content; you make the world a brighter place ^^
~ 🐇
If you want to start from the very bottom, there's a website where the first lesson is drawing a line, quite literally. It builds your confidence with basic shapes, then moves on to more complex topics like textures, shapes in space, construction of real life objects and so on.
I've had it in my bookmarks for...gosh, years now. I should definitely pick it up again, haha.
I also follow Alphonso Dunn on YouTube, he has hundreds of art tutorials and exercises.
As for software, I briefly used Krita years ago and it was nice! It had a very easy interface and the brushes worked well if you wanted to reproduce traditional art. The only reason I didn't stick to it was because I already had PaintTool SAI and Photoshop at the time. When I got my first graphic tablet, I started with Paint.NET, though it was very simplistic.
The general consensus online seems to be Krita for painting or MediBang if you're into drawing anime. In terms of paid software, I think Clip Studio Paint is very popular and has a lot of resources, from brushes to 3D models. Photoshop is classic, but it can be overwhelming if you're new to digital art.
I personally use Procreate because it came with my iPad and it has a very simple menu. Some professional illustrators say it lacks the advanced options you'd find in other programs, and I do agree it may not be enough if you want to go beyond merely drawing. To add text and make small edits, I'll put the doodle through Photoshop, for example.
Free software: Krita, MediBang, Gimp, KRESKA.art (no installation required)
Paid software: PaintTool SAI, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint
If anyone has more suggestions or tips, feel free to drop them in the comments!

DISCLAIMERS:
1. This is done in Photoshop but most art programs can approximate, especially just the transform > duplicate > move around steps, which is 90% of the technique.
2. There are ways to do this that are:
quicker
more precise
more accurate in 3d space
less clonky
but this is the laziest way that I have yet found, so I thought I'd make a tutorial.
3. Sorry the UI text got so shrunk, I didn't notice. You can tell what I'm doing anyway hopefully, the only confusing part should be the grouping in the advanced method.
TLDR you can apply layer styles to an entire GROUP, so you can have layer styles on an individual image, and THEN put that in a group and put a layer style on that and it applies to that image and everything else in there with it. This is extraordinarily useful once you start using it a lot.

Lore time!! Here’s a giant wall of text for all the lovely theorists out there ;) This panel(s) is huge, so it took absolutely forever, but I got a lot of help, which was really nice :) And I’m debuting one of my 3D models! The Kaleidoscope in and of itself took me months to make. Because it’s so complicated, it needed a pretty advanced reference, aka an entire posable model I made in Blender. But now that it’s done, I can pose it for just about whatever angle we’ll need it for in the future!
Thank you all for being so patient with me. We’re almost at Act 4 now!!

Recently found the comic and wanted to say I love it and am excited for more! Wishing you a speedy recovery! I was wondering what program and tools are used for the creation of the comic, unless I missed it somewhere. Thanks for your time, and rest well! You have a riveting story!
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you're enjoying :)
I don't remember if I've said it anywhere but I don't mind repeating it if I have. To make all my comics, I use Procreate, Photoshop (you may boo), and blender.
Process is as such: I get the thumbnail (I usually do these in advance, not the entire chapter at once but I'm usually 30-40 pages ahead in terms of thumbnails) then put it in a new procreate document. then if there's weird backgrounds (cities, indoor, etc.) or weird robot-y hard angle things (so far, just the hoverbike) i either make or use a 3d model i've already made and just trace it. (i have an arthur model for scale but i try not to trace it directly bc it's.. not a great model lol. sometimes i'm lazy though.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then i do lineart + colors + shading + etc directly on top of that (no additional sketching generally, unless the pose is giving me trouble). basically all of the artwork in the pages is done in procreate.
then i chuck it all in photoshop to do some final touch ups, blur stuff (sometimes done in procreate but not always), and do the text. i use adobe fonts i get through my school for most of the text, and then i draw in all my font bubbles + sfx by hand and slap a stroke modifier on them for the outline.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then, ta-da! comic page.

Valerie Thomas started at NASA in the mid-1960s. From her early days in data analytics to her contributions to image processing systems, Dr Thomas likened it to a rocket, launched into greatness and career success. She is renowned for her patent of the 3D Illusion Transmitter(1980), an invention that revolutionised our interaction with 3D imagery. This groundbreaking technology uses a video recorder to take a picture of a floating image and remains in use and development at NASA. Recent applications of the 3D Illusion Transmitter have been television technology and surgical imaging (SPIE, 2022). While advancing her career, she pursued further education, completing her Master’s in Engineering Administration from George Washington University (1985). A curious mind from a young age, Valerie Thomas shared in an interview with Oprah Daily, how her early interest in electronics and mechanics received little attention from her father and encouraged her to redirect her focus towards sewing and hairdressing. This narrative persisted within the education system, where schools at the time did not accommodate STEM(Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) -related subjects for female students. Despite the odds stacked against her, her passion and curiosity propelled her towards pursuing a physics course at Morgan University, where she was one of only two female students in her class. Hii, I hope you're doing well.
My questions is about dealing with the 3D when it comes to using LOA (living in the wish fulfilled). I know we're not supposed to ignore the 3D, so my question is: "Am I allowed to hope that my 3D will change or am I just supposed to stay "neutral" to it knowing that the 4D is the real reality?". Like I know I have it in the 4D and that is great, but it is also impossible for me not to notice that I don't have that thing in the 3D, so is it okay for me to acknowledge that I don't have it in the 3D and to hope/know that it will come fast (while still knowing that I have it where it is most improtant (in the 4D)). Or will that hinder manifesting since you're putting the thoughts that you don't have it yet, so you should just stay focused on the fact that you have it in the 4D and not so much on the fact that you don't have it in the 3D and stay sort of neutral to the 3D and know that it is just your old assumptions and that you already have your desire overall.
Thank you for reading this long text and answering in advance. 🤍🤍
Yes! You got it already!
You don’t have to ignore the 3d, but knowing that it js a reflection of your old beliefs it’s enough!
You can be neutral about it and know that what you want will reflect naturally when your desire is already so "normal" for you and you are already living it without needing to see it on 3d.
Don’t hope, just know and let it go, live your life normal and always come back to 4d when you feel you need it.
Persist is the key.

I’m sure this contradicts like 6 different things I’ve never heard of but kriff it, here’s my two cents on the idea of “The Holonet”
Now I love a good internet and/or outsider POV fanfic, but the idea of copy-pasting the internet into the GFFA prequel era….puts an even heavier load on the suspension of disbelief. So here’s my headcanons. NOTE: Strictly communication-only technology such as voice comms or 3D hologram calls are a completely separate situation, touched on below. Television programs, social media for both text and images, videogame spheres, encyclopedias, and the WWW of the million random websites are what I mean when I refer to “the Internet.” Or, “the Holonet.”
Holonet has meant different things over our coarse of 67 years in the GFFA. The concept of the internet existing to the galaxy at large in the same way as it does to us in our modern Earth does not become a thing until the New Republic’s reign. Before the Clone Wars, planets—at least those wealthy and centrally populated enough to merit it—had their own insular internet ecosystems among their populations. However, the networks were unconnected and only serviced the planets orbited by the satellites they were built off of. Maybe one or two solar systems of several highly-integrated planets had stretched systems to connect the entire neighboring populations, but that’s as far as it got.
Put simply, Onderon might have had its own Snapchat, and Naboo might have had its own Twitter, but they were inaccessible unless you were on that planet, in range of its satellites. Someone on Onderon had no access to Naboonian hot takes, vice-versa. Side note! Entertainment like movies & television are a high commodity export/import for some planets, but pre-20s ABY (galactic streaming services….) they were distributed outside their planet of production as physical media only. Picture: Clone barracks with a DVD shelf.
Naturally, little changed about this during the Clone Wars. Political walls made bridging the gap of interstellar space even tougher than they already did in peacetime; connections between CIS and GR civilizations were dragged back in time, if anything. In the Empire’s reign, great advancements in technology were made, but little got to be publicly proposed or implemented, as the Empire wanted the galaxy to stay as it was.
The New Republic, however, ushered in a new era of social connectivity in the galaxy and one could equate the 10s-30s ABY with the 1990s-2010s in terms of the internet’s explosion into normalcy. I made this up as a headcanon because…a whole lot of things between the prequels to originals get put on quite shaky grounds if the galaxy can just casually compare notes so easily, and especially if backlogged wealths of knowledge such as Wikipedia (Spikipedia?) existed. One of Korkie’s classmates ain’t livetweeting Maul & Viszla’s duel for someone working in the jedi temple to stumble across; preteen Syril Karn ain’t reading his feed debate the moral logistics of calling the Chancellor an Emperor in the context of the Sith Wars. However, I absolutely could see those things coming into fruition after the Empire’s tyranny is ended, and if you compared the 30s ABY to the rise of echo-chamber fascism on the Internet in the 2020s, the First Order’s existence becomes a little more believable. Teenage Poe brags to Rebellion enthusiasts in GalacTube comment sections that he was born on Yavin IV and later he introduces Rey to Lothal’s feline meme culture. I think the Moomins of Bespin would spark joy in Finn.
When Bounty Hunters refer to “the Holonet” they’re likely talking about all the holonets. BHs roam so much that their own network of he-said-she-said is constantly plugged in to as many planetary underworlds as they could wish. When a civilian says something like “it’s all over the holonet” they’re either talking about something relative to their planet’s society, or something has spread through mainstream news until multiple planets are insularly talking about something big. When a Bounty Hunter says the same thing, they’re more so just saying “everyone’s talking about it”
Hologram communication is easier to transmit through lightyears than a whole Web is, especially when you consider how stuttery and staticky it canonically is—which is treated as normal. Trailing along the edges of the galaxy’s hyperspace shipping lanes are a huge network of satellites which communicate with each other, data jumping from one to the next until it reaches the destination it’s meant for. Cell towers in space. This network, made only for calls, was constructed by a great diplomatic effort of the Republic centuries before the Clone Wars. It was long suggested that this same system could be refitted with better technology and used to create a Galactic Holonet as well, but such concepts died in the carpets of politics many a-time before the Empire levied even harsher nos. This is the concept that the NR eventually revisits.
Even on the case of planetary holonets, only the peaceful & developed planets had ones similar to the internet we’re all on. The majority of the Outer Rim sans a few rich independent worlds, such as Mon Cala or Raxus, were more comparable to the online connectivity of developing countries on Earth. Wealthy or urban citizens may have access—if their government or corporations have even built a holonet for themselves at all—but a great many do not. Luke probably wasn’t on Tatooineblr*, but Leia might have occasionally browsed Alderreddit. Coruscant has a massive holonet but it is mostly inhabited by surface-citizens or upper-layer working class people. Those who reside deeper in the depths have more in common with the Outer Rim than with the Core.
(*Tatooine would be one of the planets without a holonet at all but I couldn’t turn down the joke)
In the case of the Jedi, information about them was abundant if you searched, but it all went greatly ignored by the general populace who didn’t have much reason to care—beside the occasional user of CorusTube who found them fascinating or whatever. Mostly you’d just find aesthetic photography of the temple, “that’s not how the force works” memes, (….oh there’s definitely discourse on “The Force”. So much discourse. The Empire really had to go over this shit with a molecule-toothed comb. There was probably a guy who’d rile up arguments just to whip out a video of a Jedi levitating a boulder as a douchey checkmate) or romanticizing the monk lifestyle. It wasn’t until the New Republic that their legacy was rebuilt, partially by the emergence of Spikipedia.
In the 10s ABY I could definitely see an explosion of new things posted to the burgeoning Galactic Holonet as Imperial censorship is done away with and old videos or diaries of the prequel era return to the public eye—now a larger, more public eye than ever before. Maybe a small portion of those aesthetic photos for #JediLife that Corusgram seemed obsessed with for a couple years in the 20s BBY are being reposted, reshared. Maybe people in the most random places in the galaxy can finally speak about their parents’ memories of compassionate Jedi or of how the Galaxy was before the Empire. In other places, though, Imperial warlords have discovered whole new ways of new recruitment in this era of rapid change.
Also, the mode of accessing the Holonet is pretty uniform across the galaxy and doesn’t change much with time. Phones aren’t really a thing; you either have datapads the size of tablets which perform the same functions as them, or more portable communicators (often cylindrical, but they vary) which can only make calls or show 2D images.

hello!! hope you're doing well :D
as an aspiring concept artist, i happened to stumble across your post regarding finding a job in the gaming industry. i was wondering if you could share your experience, and any tips for possibile newcomers into the field?
thanks a bunch in advance!
Hello!
Tbh I'm not in the mood rn to give an inspirational talk, because I was laid off without being paid and my disappointment in the industry has reached the maximum level. The fact that it's my 7th month of job hunting given the fact that I'm a Senior Concept Artist with good experience & portfolio doesn't help much with my motivation too lol. So I'm not really sure about advices rn bc I'm feeling clueless and desperate.
But the best thing you can do given the circumstances is to work on your portfolio and decide what direction you want to go - environments, characters, props, UI or something else. Then find a company you'd like to work for, look at their art books and their artists' portfolios and work on something similar. Don't be shy to text to HRs and Art Directors, email the studios you're interested in etc. As for my experience, I specialize in environment & props design and the lighting design in the game levels. To get a better understanding of how the video games are being made and how to work in a team, you may try to participate in local game jams. Learning 3D helps to better understand how the concept art should look like - basically, it's an instruction for 3D artists & animators. The more you know about other teams' pipelines, the better.
Sorry for being all salty but it is what it is 😔

Wishing you an Absol-utely wonderful Valentine's Day! 🖤
This black cocoa lambeth cake was a fun challenge, especially making Absol out of icing and in 3D!
I've been enjoying planning out what Pokemon dessert we'll make on our live Twitch streams in advance, and when one chatter suggested an Absol Valentine's cake, I was sold! Plus Shiny Absol has the perfect colour scheme, and the Mega has those cupid wings, so what could be better?🪽🪽
This is also my first Valentine's Day with Miss_Editor as wife and wife, so I had to do my buff goth wife justuce! (She also helped decide on and write the text!)
Now if only I wasn't sick on Valentine's Day 🥲
Here's the black cocoa cake recipe and the black cocoa icing recipe, though the latter gave me some trouble.

Hello, I would like to apologize in advance if the text is not clear, I do not write well in English 🙂‍↕️
I have been in the void topic for 8 months now and during this time it has not happened to me (yes, I know that you can't say that, because the void is me🤦🏾‍♀️) I have only had pre-void states. I have tried many methods on my way, spent 76 dollars on a mentor, and of course I cried when I did not see the result (I am still crying)
Today I was sure that I would get into the void, but I'm still in this idiotic world. I used to be very nervous about failures, how come I only have 3 months left before the exam, etc. Now I don't care, I don't know what will happen tomorrow, I just want to enter the void and see what I tried so hard for? I was really sure, I affirmed before going to bed, I tried to enter while sitting, but it was uncomfortable for me, I listened to meditation from Alunir while lying down, but I fell asleep, maybe because of this? Although even if I had fallen asleep, I should have woken up in this state 😩🤦🏾‍♀️😭
At the same time, I do not prepare for exams, because I do not lose hope and I am sure that I will get into the void and all my dreams will come true, but when?!?! Like how long can I wait, I already want to enter the void! Help me please, but without these tips that I have already heard, like don't put him on a pedestal, etc. 🤒🤕
Oml but that's all the tips I have.
Literally ask anyone else and they'd tell you the SAME thing, bc honey I'm so sorry but it actually sounds you do have it on a pedestal where you think whatever you do it won't reach you.
You see, if it reaches a point where you say "oml why do bloggers all tell me the same advice???" Congratulations girlypop you know all there is to know 😭😭😭😭
Harsh truth but there is no "magic" method that'll make you shift, all the advices and tips here I have are literally all telling you one thing.
Be the void.
I mean yeah, You’re allowed to be frustrated girly, but that doesn’t mean you get to call this world idiotic, call yourself a failure, or act like the Void owes you something. That mindset will never help you shift, bc one shit? The void owes you NOTHING, why? Bc you are the void itself.
You said you were sure, then BEEEEE SURE. Don’t undo it by spiraling the moment your 3D doesn’t instantly reflect it. That’s not how the Void works. You don’t threaten it into happening. You don’t shame yourself into getting results. You detach and drop, LIKE LITERALLY ITS YOU, WHAT OTHER ADVICE I HAVE 😭😭😭😭
You affirmed. You listened to meditation. You were tired. So your body did what it naturally does: it rested. That doesn’t mean you failed. That means your nervous system was calming down, and that’s exactly what opens the door to the Void, why not think in a way where it would've happened if you could stand your ground?
Stop punishing yourself for not “doing it right.” There is no perfect condition. There is only persistence without panic, PERSIST PERSIST PERSISTTTTTTT THAT'S THE ONLY ADVICE.
It worked. Even if u don’t see it yet, it worked.
So sorry if this is "unhelpful" but I hope this is a reality wake up call to everyone who's victimizing themselves, girly it's in your hands and no one's gonna go to blame unless it's you, but either way, hope you realize it's all in your hand and start to lock tf in.

behold! a reference sheet for Fynni Buddy! I had one made before but i genuinely don't remember if i ever posted it but we have this one now!
Image description under cut
Reference Sheet for my program-sona, Fynni Buddy. a small, anthropomorphic, vaguely canine thing.
Above, an even smaller version of her that somewhat resembles the Pokemon Rotom is floating. This version is labled "Installer Form. For travel around the internet."
To the right of the back view of Fynni Buddy, a small pink gear is floating, and has a speech bubble titled "Options" and has 4 options below it, being "data" "user" "customize" and "presets".
The boxes on the left have 4 expression examples, showing it happy, surprised, smug, and sleeping.
The boxes on the right explain the 4 options in the bubble. "data. file management, asset directory, uninstall" "user. name, pronouns, profiles, content filter, toggle advanced mode" "customize. appearance, voice, personality, scaling, UI style" "presets. save settings, load preset, set preset as default"
the text in the box at the bottom reads as follows: Fynni Buddy It/She Sentient Digital Companion for PC. Can be put on other things to varying results Likes: Zip Files, The Mouse Cursor, Customization, Her User, Piracy Dislikes: Small Screens, The Third Dimension, Thunderstorms, Being Helpful Height: 169 Pixels, 67 Pixels for Installer Note: Always faces one of these 2 directions. Never 3D! Is a billboarded sprite!
