Cishet aspecs are queer.
Cishet aromantics are queer. Cishet asexuals are queer. Cishet aplatonics are queer. Cishet afamilials are queer. Cishet anattractionals are queer.
Aspecs are queer as hell and excluding them only isolates queer people from their community.

For poll purposes if you’re anywhere on the a-spectrum of asexual, afamial, asensual, aromantic, aplatonic, etc, etc you vote aspec.
If you don’t identify with any of the aspec labels, then you vote allo.
Edit; I’m aware that the poll is going to be skewed. I’m not actually trying to get stats for the amount of aspec people on tumblr, I’m mostly just curious about how making this poll on a blog with a majorly aspec audience would affect the results of an allo vs. aspec poll.

Happy Pride to all aemotional aspecs!
Tumblr media
Aemotional (aka anemotional or nonemotional) - An identity that does not experience any type of emotional attraction. One who is aemotional would be aromantic, analterous, aplatonic, and aqueerplatonic.

every time someone says “love is love! there’s self-love—or you can love your pets and hobbies!!” i think aros, apls, afams, analterous, aqueerplatonics, aemotionals, etc., should be allowed to send a swarm of wasps at them

A-Spec / Anattractional Spectrum Flag
My take an an a-spec flag that explicitly includes all anattractionals. I think a problem with a lot of the flags is that they try to make something that represents every seperate identity rather than anattraction as a whole.
I chose a dragon because of it's association with anattraction. The gradient inside represent the spectrum itself. Of course, the lines behind the dragon make the shape of an 'A'. The dragon's pose, a circle, also represents the circles used to represents most a-spec identities.
@radiomogai @anattractional-safe-space (lmk if u wanna be untagged, your blog just reminded me that I've been wanting to make this ^^)

"Validity" should not have to be given. "Validity" should not have to be declared by the majority. "Validity" is a made-up qualifier and positions whoever is outside that label as having needed to give approval for someone to exist and take part. I am not "valid", because I was already here. We were already here, approved or unapproved.
Every microlabel, allospec identities of all kinds, the loveless, the aspec-allos, everyone who has ever been the subject of debate or been accused of making us all look bad; the stereotype, the asshole, the mold-breaker, the discourse topic, and the invisible. Validity is sold to us to put down some as pending approval and lift others as the gatekeepers, to pit us against each other to pick each other apart.
Don't seek approval. Just be.

i think qprs are cool :) waverships are cool. People who call each other partner / girlfriend / arofriend / etc but don’t call it being “ in a relationship “ or dating are cool. People who aren’t blood-related and who call each other family because of the comfort they find in each other. People who don’t want to label their relationship in any way no matter what it looks like from the outside or feels like from the inside. People who don’t call the people in their friendships “ friends.” People who mix and match relationship words to describe each other and their relationship. People who use more personal , creative terms to describe friends and partners.
Because thats what a relationship is : how people relate to each other.

My take on the aspec flag!
[PT: My take on the aspec flag! /End PT]
Tumblr media
[ID: A flag with 6 horizontal stripes, divided in four sections by a white compass rose in the middle of the flag. Each section has 3 stripes that form a gradient that gets darker towards the middle of the flag. Clockwise, the sections are in red, green, blue, and purple hues. /End ID]
The 'main' aspec flag only includes the ace and aro spectrums, and I didn't find any inclusive flag I liked, so I made my own. This flag focuses on the diversity of the a-spectrum.
Symbolism:
None of the colors have meaning on their own. The dark purple and dark green are taken from the most used flag, just a little fun fact.
The colors are separated in different sections because the a-spectrum is vast and individuals within it can have wildly different experiences while still being under the same umbrella.
But they're also grouped in gradients, because multiple different 'colors', or individuals, can still belong in the same space and have similar experiences!
The white compass rose is a tribute to the most used flag; it still represents how different individuals feel or don't feel attraction.
However, I also kept it white because for some, white is the absence of hue or saturation, representing a lack of attraction, and for others, it's what you get when you combine every color, representing wholeness even without 'traditional' colors.

Apothifamilial: a term for familial-repulsed afamilials.
Flag colors: red represents blood, which is associated with family. Also ties to the phrase "blood [of the covenant] is thicker than water [of the womb]".

First aspec pride poll of the month!
(for poll purposes pick the label you identify with most)
Sorry if the aspec abbreviations on some are weird. I had to make some up.
Happy pride month to my fellow aspecs! Remember that your attraction/lack of attraction is just as valid as anyone else!

Some alt a-spec flags :)
I wanted to make matching a-spec flag sets for aphysical, aemotional, and atertiary microlabels. I do like the original flags (link), but the colors didn't really work for my purposes (they represent attraction, rather than the opposite), so I made alt ones.
-
Flag colors:
Aphysical: ✦ Light yellow/green, teal, purple - aphysical colors. (From the opposite colors of physical attraction, which I think orange, red, and dark red/pink represent well.) ✦ Dark grey/black, light grey - the spectrum of not experiencing physical attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do (demiphysical for example). (Inspired by other a-spec flags.) Dark grey also represents aphys people who are a-spec in other attractions (like being aemotional in addition to aphysical), and light grey is also for those who are allo-spec in other attractions (like being alloplatonic, for example).
Aemotional: ✦ Dark grey/black, mid grey, blue, light green, blueish green - aemotional colors. (Like above, this is based on the opposite colors of emotional attraction, which I picked purple, blue, orange, yellow, and pink for. I also greys are just fitting colors in general.) The greys and lightest green also represent the spectrum of not experiencing emotional attraction. Such as those who don't experience this attraction at all, and those who do. They also represent aemo people who are a-spec and allo-spec for other attractions.
Note: to avoid looking too much like other flags, I used the 3 main colors plus dark grey/black for aphysical (microlabels), and dark grey/black, blue, blueish green, and light green for aemotional (microlabels), instead of only the bright/opposite colors (so excluding the greys). Traditionally the bright colors are used to represent the respective a-spec identity (see here for an example), and the black/grey/white is left out, but since they'll look too similar to other flags, the dark colors are included to help with this. (Just check my aphyspec and aemospec flag sets for a visual example.)
Atertiary: ✦ Light green, cyan, blue-purple, orange - atertiary colors. (Based off the opposite colors of the tertiary attraction flag, which are light blue, yellow, orange, and magenta/pink. I also rearranged the color order, just to make it more of a gradient / different.) ✦ Black - not experiencing this form of attraction. I didn't include grey/light colors like in the other flags, but that's just a visual thing. Ater-spec plus other a-spec and allo-spec people/labels are still included under this.
Aphyspec, aemospec, & aterspec: Are all based off of the above flags, but arranged into a gradient / color adjusted to represent their spectrums. Inspired by other a- spectrum flags, like ace-spec & aro-spec. There's no specific color meanings.

Wowie that's a lot of text haha. I felt it was important to explain it though. (Maybe I could have formatted it better, they do kind of repeat themselves.)

I wanted to make a bunch of low contrast aspec flags after I was inspired by making one, so uh, enjoy :)
This isn't meant to replace existing flags, it was just a personal project.
