Andrew just smothers them in gifts and whatever expensive shit they ask for, he even bought them each a pony, then had ro return it because Aaron does not live in a house with a stable and Andrew's response was: then just buy one😐 (aaron had to make a budget after the pony incident as per Nicky's retelling). They're also Nicky's babies and he cries every time he sees them because they remind him of his babies AKA the twinyards and what their life was supposed to be like if they had loving parents.

So yes, im out here pushing the Aaron girl dad agenda because he'll be the best girl dad to ever girl dad!!!! and yes, they call Wymack grandpa because i said so<3

no but imagine being the Palmetto State track team coach and learning about this kid who can run a mile in four minutes and so you go and check it out but surprise surprise the exy coach from the shit exy team has him already so you try to negotiate for the player because he might be the fastest kid you’ve ever seen but the exy coach keeps saying no and no and so you watch this kid that can RUN THE MILE IN FOUR MINUTES become the fastest exy player in history and you’re sobbing falling to your knees because you could’ve had him in the track team winning you gold medals in the olympics but instead you just stare from your campus office as this redhead short exy obsessed kid runs laps around the entire uni campus for hours on end without getting tired and just wishes all hell on exy

Just imagine Aaron, Nicky, & Kevin watching Andrew light Neil his Emotional Support Cigarette™️ for the first time. Andrew, who doesn’t share anything. Whose pack of cigarettes is on the “do not touch” list with his car keys. Who’s pulled a knife on ppl for grabbing his lighter (including Nicky.) Who just…lights this 5’3 ginger a “just to hold” cigarette, like it’s nothing, like it’s normal.

They wouldn’t be able to keep their shit together. They’d ask Neil what his intentions are, someone would get maimed, there would be blood everywhere. It would be chaos.

When the internet discovers Jean Moreau in his 6’3 brooding but secretly sweet French backliner glory :

the dynamic/parallels between jean and andrew in tgr absolutely kill me

the "tell me his name" scene just means so much to me and it just evokes every bit of andrew's protectiveness, the implicit trauma-induced reaction that he had in tfc, when he pins nicky against the wall and threatens to kill him if he touches neil

jean sees andrew as he is, even if he doesn't entirely understand him. he can see his thought process better than, say, nicky, who abides by andrew's rules without quite understanding or caring to know why, only that the consequences of not doing such are deadly

despite having barely said a word to him prior, jean is able to pinpoint the exact thing to say to convince andrew to quit smoking with a single sentence: promising him that one day, when someone comes for neil, he won't be able to save him

and then someone does come for neil—and comes for him—but all andrew can see past his pain is neil, lying unmoving on the court floor before he can reach him and he knows that jean is right

jean implicitly understands the lengths to which andrew would go to protect neil, would likely understand the necessity for tilda's death and his promise to aaron

for the first time in his life, jean has people he cares about and covets the power to protect them. he knows how fragile and gentle it is, how brutal it is when that choice to do so is taken away

he couldn't save elodie, hadn't wanted to save kevin, but for once, he had something like hope within his grasp and he didn't want to let go

When Aaron had to cosplay as Andrew he was forced to wear contacts

Come with me down this rabbit hole if you will. The moment we the readers find out about how much Andrew cares is the moment he says "I hate you". Because of this one "throw away" line in the first book "I don't care about exy enough to hate it".

I personally think this is the exact moment HE relieved he was in love with Neil. Because he realized he does care, he cares so much it hurts. And he hates that, he hates his feelings, he hates the fact that Neil makes him feel- makes him care.

And so he hates Neil, because he loves him, because he wants him. Because he cares for him.

And how he was afraid and blindside to find this boy wasn’t real, when he become sober. And how he was shocked when he could still have this boy next to him.
