I think it's funny how AI is completely unable to recreate even remotely believable Space Marines despite the sheer excessive amount of Space Marine art online that it should have been able to scrape.

I've seen so much 40k AI artwork and it’s all trash; most 12-year-old kids could draw the armour to look more accurate.

There is something poetic about the fact that Space Marines can't be created without humanity.

Hey Linux users! Do you trust untested AI-generated bash scripts

Assume that you checked the script to make sure the script did what you wanted to do and that it's safe (eg, no rm -rf when you're not deleting something, or unnecessary use of sudo, etc) but you didn't test the script on a VM, test server, etc.

Personally, my answer is no, because I don't trust AI, and I believe you should always test all your bash script (unless they are super simple)

Apparently controversial opinion, but nobody that calls themself an AI Artist is a real artist. They're an unmotivated thief, they're a choosing beggar saying that art isn't worth 'that much', they're just a person that has an idea then asks an artificial intelligence to create it using other people's actual effort chewed up and spat out, then claim that as they're own.

Your comments about AI users being talentless tells me you don't really understand art. It's about the product, not the tools. You can waste your life learning how to use a thousand of brushes and programs and you'll be easily outshone by someone who uses AI to draw what they want. The 'talentless' usually crow on about techniques and tools and miss the point of making art.

No. If you instruct the AI to do something, you aren't 'drawing' anything. "The talentless" The 'talentless' is you. Telling an AI what image you want to be drawn doesn't require any talent.

Airi’s birthday bash celebration truly has been one for the books. The boys really covered all their bases and went above and beyond to make this week special.

From cake with Mattie, a surprise party with Tom, a shopping spree with Blaise, a romantic dinner with Theo, a beautifully written song from Reggie, his and hers matching cars from Draco, and an enchanted golden rose from Enzo that will never wilt- these boys truly know how to make a little ravens heart soar.

You two have really went out of your way to make sure this week was extravagant beyond what the boys provided and I thank you for going on this crazy journey with me, and for loving me more than I often feel I deserve. I do not like using the word "lazy", because it's often used in an ableist way, but people who use gen ai and defend its use are lazy af. They're lazy because they face a problem, but instead of looking for the solutions, they turn to a program taught on stolen works for an easy solution. They don't want to work to get over the problem, they want to be fed the solution without doing shit.

This is examples I have seen:

"I use Ai because I need to know how people ate during the medieval ages" Not only you are probably going to be fed misinformations, but HISTORIANS EXIST, and they write books, blogs and even have youtube channels. There are people that dedicate their LIFE to studying that shit. Go look for that. Idk how it is in your country, but here, anyone can enter my university's libraries and you would find the answers to your questions.

"I want to write/draw, but I don't know what, so I ask Ai for prompts" There are so many blogs dedicated to give people writing/art prompts. There are youtube channels from artists where they show how they get ideas, or give out prompts, or invite you to follow the same "exercise" as them, or that will inspire you. For drawing specifically, Drawfee is a great channel because they are following prompts and you can follow on your own. For writing, I know there are even books of writing prompts.

"I don't know how to start my essay" There are methodology online, or you can ask help from your friends, your classmates or your professors. I'm currently writing my master thesis, and we were encouraged to talk to each other and read each other work so we could help each other. Also, there are more and more using program to detect ai, so you are going to get caught. And, you aren't learning shit by having ai do it for you. It's hard, I know because I'm struggling writing my master thesis, but letting ai do it in your place isn't the solution.

"I just want to speak to my favorite characters!" You realize they're not real and for this to work, the program is trained on STOLEN FANWORKS. So, what you're gonna do is very simple, you don't need shit to do it. You use your imagination, like the older generations did (like I did as a teen, it's not hard). And if you cannot come up with how you favorite characters act, you can re-read the original work and analyze it (this will be hard if you let ai write your essays), you can read fanfics and save the ones you prefer to analyze why. And you'll be able to imagine. Or you can interact with RP blogs.

"Well, I suffer from severe anxiety and talking to people stress me out, but AI is fine and helps me fight depression" Hi, as someone who suffers from both depression and anxiety since a very young age, with an anxiety severe enough that being perceived is nightmarish, this is not a solution. You will need to talk to people to survive, humans are a social species and you cannot feed that social need from ai. You start with small things and it will get easier, but withdrawing yourselves totally from interacting with others will not help. It will make it worse. If talking to a help line, chat or forum is too much, they are apps like Wysa or Finch where you can rant and get help.

"But people can bully you in fandom" Are you going to not talk to people ever again because they could harm you? Because, I'm sorry, but that's life. You have to take risk if you want to ever have relationships with others. And, I'm sorry again, but you can get bullied anywhere. I was bullied by my teachers. My sister was bullied by her boss. Is she supposed to never work again to avoid the possibility of being bullied? Don't take this the wrong way, bullying is bad and should not happen, but you cannot live your life avoiding interacting with people because they could hurt you. And it's a paranoid person telling you this.

The way they speak about how they need AI is like humanity couldn't do shit in its millennia of existence before AI. Like humanity hasn't created shit, hasn't developed different art forms and movements on its own. You don't need AI. There have always been better solutions to these problems before AI. The only thing you are doing is getting used to AI so companies can put this bs everywhere and make you accept it more easily.
