May: Thrusters are misfiring! Talk to me, what do we do?
Simmons: You're the pilot!
Sometime after
Simmons: Well, I'm a biologist, but sure, I can invent time travel.
it is so, so good to have you back without the Fitz-tinted glasses, Jemma.
Nothing against Fitz or Fitzsimmons (somewhat) but I like characters who do not become mouthpieces for the other or become exclusive for each other i.e. around more than half of Jemma's dialogue in S4 which will not pass the Bechdel test at all, thanks

I remember someone saying that one of the reasons Fitz hated Deke so much in season 5 was because he reminded him of his younger self
And we know that Fitz was struggling with the Doctor since the Framework, and the Doctor hated anything that was "weak". Basically, anything with compassion, but most notably, Fitz from season 1. Fitz hated himself
Deke, with all his fancy tech and quirkiness and unawareness of how the world worked, while also being incredibly clever? He was just like that. He was everything the Doctor hated. It just puts the whole season in a new perspective
Yeah, please lmk if you know who said this, bc omg you cracked the code

Something I wish we got a little more of was Coulson comforting/encouraging Fitz??? That dynamic was played out a little bit, yes, but I feel like there's something there.
The way how Coulson would clasp Fitz shoulder as he was on the verge of tears, and in s4 when Coulson laid his forehead on Fitz' head telling him it was gonna be alright, and how he held Fitz' forearms as he was spiralling after coming out of the Framework....
Do you think Coulson was imitating what his father did for him when he was little? Comfort through physicality? I'd like to think so...
But also, Coulson has to know about Fitz' dad and how he left. He's gotta know there's a sort of hurt there. Maybe he feels the need to step in a little bit and show him what a real father is like? That it's okay to not only break, but to also be gentle.

Agents of SHIELD is canonically plural!
Major Agents of SHIELD spoilers ahead:
Leo Fitz is canonically plural
In the first season of Agents of SHIELD, Leo Fitz and his best friend Jemma Simmons are shown to be inseparable. At the end of the season, Fitz suffers a traumatic brain injury and Jemma leaves SHIELD between seasons.
With the real Jemma gone, Fitz begins hallucinating another version of her. For the whole first half of the season, the Hallucination Simmons helps Fitz work through his problems, and demonstrates a high degree of self-consciousness and independence indicative of personhood.
Of course, she doesn't see herself as real and is proud when Fitz admits she isn't. But that reaction is what makes her real. Perhaps not physically real, but as her own independent agent, capable of thinking and feeling things separate from the host.
In season 4, the team's consciousnesses are uploaded to a virtual reality called the Framework where they have new lives with new memories.
Most of the team, after coming back, experienced an instant integration of their lives. They felt like one person who had merely lived two different lives.
But Fitz is different. Fitz seems to have dissociated from his Framework self. This is revealed later in season 5 where he sees a version of his evil Framework self, called The Doctor. It's initially believed that The Doctor is a manifestation created by a portal to a nightmare dimension, but it's revealed to have been Fitz the whole time!
The Doctor he saw was merely a hallucination. And when The Doctor is fronting later, he's hallucinating the normal Fitz.
Fitz later admits to have been hearing The Doctor's voice for a while.
While this seems like an evil alter trope on the surface, I actually kind of like how it was handled. The Doctor does bad things, but it's shown that he's actually doing what he thinks is best to protect the world. He's taking steps that Fitz wouldn't. That Fitz would be too weak to. But if he didn't take those steps, innocent people would probably have died.
Ghost Rider is Canonically Plural
Season 4 of Agents of SHIELD introduces us to Robbie Reyes who is the Ghost Rider.
As a Ghost Rider, he has a Spirit of Vengeance in him. Not only does the Spirit of Vengeance take control, but it's suggested they also have internal communication even if the audience doesn't get to hear it. And the Spirit of Vengeance doesn't need to fully transform to front either.
There's one episode where the Spirit of Vengeance leaves Robbie and possesses someone else's body. The Spirit of Vengeance takes full control without fronting, and even has a conversation with Robbie in that form. (This is probably at least partially a result of budget constraints since the Ghost Rider mouth never opened. Having a conversation without transforming was probably cheaper. But whatever the reason, it's canon!)
Headcanon and Speculation: This isn't confirmed or really hinted at in the show itself, but Robbie was killing his uncle Eli Morrow while they were inside a quantum battery together that was being dragged straight to Hell. That specific situation would be perfect to justify having Eli Morrow fuse with Robbie... like he is in the comics. Because one big difference in Agents of SHIELD from the source material is that Robbie in the comics doesn't actually have a Spirit of Vengeance. He's instead possessed by Eli Morrow. (Who in the comics was a satanic serial killer.) Robbie later reappears in one episode with no sign of Eli Morrow. But it would be super easy to reveal that the circumstances surrounding what happened fused them, making Morrow part of Ghost Rider's system. We think this would have been revealed in the cancelled Ghost Rider Hulu series. But alas, they never went through with that!
Graviton is Canonically Plural
In the first season, we're introduced to Franklin Hall and Ian Quinn, two characters working with a rare material called Gravitonium. Hall is absorbed into the Gravitonium and isn't seen again.
Later, Absorbing Man touches the Gravitonium and starts hearing voices in his head as a result. It's then revealed that Ian Quinn was also swallowed by the Gravitonium and that both of their voices are still there.
Finally, a huge amount of the Gravitonium is pumped into General Glenn Talbot through a chamber intended to give the recipient super powers, turning him into the series' incarnation of Graviton.
Besides the natural gravity manipulation powers, Talbot's Graviton can use the Gravitonium to absorb other people. Everyone that he absorbs this way seems to become a new voice in his head.

Im watching agents of shield and im on s4 e16
The Framework reality is so funny to me
Idk why it made me so happy that ward was a mole or why i hadnt anticipated it but i immediately said, out loud "oh, how the tables have turned"
But it actually jumpscared me when they showed their picture tg at the end of the last episode AND when he called her skye
Oh and also when he was all romantic in the morning? Im scarred
Though what actually BROKE me is that she saw "your boyfriend" and immediately thought lincoln, even went as far as calling ward lincoln when he was in bed, like okay im sad now
"There are things about me you wouldn't like if you knew" BRO "yeah, i know" OH MYY
And coulson having made research on everything he remembers from the real world?? Like thats my man oml hes amazing
Fitz being the mastermind behind HYDRA is genius and actually shows what it would be like if he used his skills for evil
May being like a top agent in hydra also just makes sense in my head
Lastly, it's a magical place.

I made this Agents of SHIELD poll a few days ago about AUs that would’ve been interesting to see. Currently, the winning answer is that Leo Fitz made a deal with Ghost Rider to destroy AIDA. Now that I think about it, I think this would’ve been the stronger storyline. My reasons:
1) There’s no real reason why it had to be Coulson who destroyed AIDA. It feels like he was only made Ghost Rider because he’s the lead character and the showrunners needed an excuse to kill off Coulson at the end of season 5. But even then, the choice to have Ghost Rider be the one to kill Coulson feels wrong since that’s not really a thing in the comics. The deals with the Ghost Rider turns the person into a host, it’s not supposed to kill them.
2) Narratively, it makes sense. AIDA was targeting Fitz and forced him to become her lover. Fitz destroying AIDA would’ve been poignant (if that’s the right word).
3) You can argue that Fitz becoming Ghost Rider to end the LMD/AIDA threat was his atonement for helping Holden Radcliffe build them in the first place.
4) The fun irony of the character who didn’t believe in the supernatural/magic becoming the character with the strongest ties to the supernatural/magic.
5) Continues the devil theme. Fitz was the Devil in the Framework, then he makes a deal with the devil in the real world.
6) IMO, this would improve the Doctor subplot in season 5. Instead of the explanation being stress or a split personality, the Doctor is now a manifestation of the Ghost Rider. Even though the Rider is still bound to Robbie Reyes, the Rider can still speak to Fitz since Fitz made the deal. The show could explain this as the Ghost Rider becoming permanently bonded to its hosts, even the ones it left.
7) Fitz not being in control of his body, the Doctor taking over —> Ghost Rider took over Fitz’s body and performed the surgery on Daisy Johnson. Also, it’d be in line with the Rider since the Rider is the kind of character that “gets shit done”, if you know what I mean. I can imagine this as Fitz not wanting to go through with the surgery, then the Rider taking over because it got tired of Fitz’s indecision.
8) Fitz’s overall character being a bit darker in season 5 —> Ghost Rider’s influence on Fitz
9) The show could explain “Fitz Rider” as a reference to the comics in which comics!Fitz became possessed by Mephisto.
10) It lowkey continues the rivalry between Daisy and Ghost Rider. Because season 4 started with her fighting Robbie/Ghost Rider. Now, the rivalry continues, but this time through Fitz. The rivalry would also makes sense substance-wise since it’s still about morals/doing what is necessary. Daisy disapproved of Robbie killing evil people, Robbie said they deserved their fates. Daisy disapproved of Fitz operating on her, Fitz believed that it was the only way to deal with the Fear Dimension problem.
11) The episode where The Doctor returns is called “The Devil Complex”. I mean…it’s RIGHT THERE. It’s like the show is taunting you that Fitz should’ve been the 2nd Ghost Rider. Technically 3rd, but whatever.

Before watching Season four I had already read a little bit about the framework, but not enough to understand what's it all about. But I wanted to understand. So, when I started season four, I wished the whole time that the Framework part would begin.
Well, not for long. As soon as Jemma and Daisy entered the Framework, I regretted asking for it. It was just so much worse than I imagined, all five Framework episodes made me really anxious, really wasn't fun. I heard about The Doctor before but damn, Fitz! The whole time I just wanted the old Fitz back and punch his father (well, and AIDA). But we got top acting from Iain De Caestecker, so that's a plus (from everyone really, but especially Iain).
Also, it was a surprisingly nice surprise to see Grant Ward again, I wouldn't have thought that one day I'd be happy to see him and be not angry about everything he does.
On the other hand, the episodes were all absolutely GREAT, it just wasn't fun. Actually, that works for all episodes of season four - great but not fun. I enjoyed it, even when the most present thought was "Don't hurt them, don't hurt ME!"

In honor of pride month, I think I'm gonna do a little ramble about why Bronte/Emery genuinely appeals to me as a ship dynamic, even though I've been in this fandom long enough to remember that it started as a joke. More below the cut because this got longer than planned.
So first off, Bronte and Emery are similar in some ways. To me, their connecting thread is their shared devotion to the Council. Bronte is the longest-serving Councillor, and when the main crew is suspicious of the Council having a leak in Everblaze, Fitz dismisses the idea that Bronte could be that leak outright. Bronte is said to be very dedicated to his job. Similarly, we see Emery make every effort to maintain the Council's reputation and standing over the course of the books. As the Council's spokesperson, he rarely shares his own opinion, and instead acts as the voice of the Council. (Which makes Emery a fascinating character in his own right to me, but that's a different post.)
So Bronte and Emery have some shared values: the Council. They're both believers in the system, generally upholding the established power structures rather than transgressing them like Oralie or Kenric.
But their duality is also fascinating to me. Bronte is strong-willed and opinionated, "infamously struggling" with the edict that Councillors should not speak against the Council's decisions even if they don't agree. He clearly has his own moral framework; even though it often aligns with the Council, when it doesn't, he never hesitates to speak against the rest. Bronte is blunt, harsh, and a rather abrasive character.
By contrast, Emery is smooth-tongued and charming. Unlike Bronte, he almost never speaks his own opinion. Instead, as I said above, he acts as the voice of the Council. I think it must require a certain kind of personality and patience to be a successful spokesperson; even when decisions are made which you personally disagree with, you have to maintain the facade of unity.
I think it's this duality which draws them to each other, in a way. Neither of them could be each other, and consequently they find the other equally fascinating and frustrating. It's easy to imagine that Emery is sometimes frustrated by Bronte's outspoken nature, which he sees as undermining the unity of the Council. Bronte, meanwhile, wouldn't understand how Emery can set aside his principles so easily. It's frustrating, but it's also fascinating. It draws them to be curious about each other.
Another aspect to this is the isolation of the Councillors. We know Councillors are forbidden from having romantic relationships or children canonically; some people have extrapolated from this the idea that Councillors are also encouraged to not maintain contact with their families. But even setting explicit regulations aside, the Councillors are deeply lonely characters. They each live (theoretically alone) in a vast castle, making their decisions about the elven world largely in isolation. How many secrets must the Council know that they are forbidden to share with anyone else? How much does their work keep them from forming connections with other elves, even ones that they aren't technically forbidden from having, like friendships?
As far as I imagine it, the Councillors, by virtue of their positions, are deeply isolated from close relationships with anyone outside the Council, which makes their relationships with each other all the more crucial. The rest of the Council are people that they spend long periods of time in discussion with, must work with to preserve the safety of the elven world, and the only other elves who can truly understand what all of this is like. The Councillors are forbidden from forming 'attachments', but under those conditions, it's not hard to see why some Councillors do form attachments to one another: canonically, Kenric and Oralie, or not so canonically, Bronte and Emery.
In my fic your drama (the touch of your hand) (which is on my AO3 SemperAeternumQue and you should definitely check out-), I imagine Bronte and Emery as having somewhat of a friends/coworkers with benefits relationship. In AUs, I might imagine them in a more traditionally romantic dynamic, but in the canon universe of Keeper, traditional romance just doesn't seem to fit them. Both of them are too dedicated to their work to pursue anything they see as overly romantic or breaking their oaths; they aren't in love the way Oralie and Kenric were, but they find a sort of comfort in one another. They are some of the only people capable of understanding the position that the other is in: their shared dedication to the Council intermingled with the sheer loneliness of being a Councillor.
And that's fascinating to me! I love dynamics that for whatever reason can't be categorized nearly into traditional relationship categories! Bronte and Emery's canon dynamic is absolutely fascinating because of so many things: the unconventional nature of the relationship, the fact that they're both doing something that could be seen as breaking their oaths- oaths that we know they both are canonically quite dedicated to- and the resulting cognitive dissonance, the duality and contrast between their personalities that draws them to one another, the fact that they can never fully understand each other but take comfort in the other nonetheless- I just love everything about what canon!Brontemery would be like.
(Oh yeah, and a final note because I thought of it midway through: I've spent a lot of this ramble contrasting brontemery to koralie, which wasn't intentional at first, but I do think Bronte and Emery's dynamic in canon would provide an interesting contrast/foil to Kenric and Oralie's dynamic. They’re both pairs of Councillors, but one largely upholds the existing system and one acts rebelliously.
At first glance, Kenric and Oralie seems like the most wholesome, if tragic relationship, while Bronte and Emery does not, particularly as they both take an more antagonistic role at different points in the series and are generally not depicted as good people. However, as we’ve seen canonically, Oralie and Kenric’s relationship had some darker aspects, while I imagine that whatever else about them, Bronte and Emery’s relationship with each other is largely good. Bronte and Emery are two characters that rarely act against the system, but break one of their sacred oaths as Councillors to be together. By contrast, Oralie and Kenric pine for each other but refuse to break that specific oath, despite all the other treason they both commit. They're both pairs of Councillors, but couldn't be more different otherwise. (I also have a rant about how Bronte and Oralie's characters contrast one another in interesting ways, but that's again a different post.))
In conclusion, am I normal about kotlc? No.

there's a lot of love for computer science genius Skye/Daisy Johnson, but i think a lot about pattern recognition anaylsis expert Daisy too. she was the first to react to Fitz's run-down of the Peruvian 0-8-4, clocked how highly militarized the Hub was about Ward and Fitz's mission despite the brief being about disabling a weapon, saw the connection between Hannah Hutchins and Tobias Ford and this is just off from the top of my head from season 1 alone.
she knew something was happening in SHIELD when the Iliad crew hunted for her in the Retreat. she understood Fitz's theory of using her powers to open the Kree Monolith when he was still halfway explaining himself. she found Ivanov and Coulson’s connection in 4x14 The Man Behind the Shield, which ultimately revealed Ivanov’s motive. she even knew that there would be some incident or event in which they will need her powers back in season 5, which was her entire reason of staying behind.
also the Framework. it’s essentially a world made of binary. it makes sense that even if she didn’t have her avatar’s memories, she caught on when May and Coulson pointed out AIDA’s strategy in 4x22 World’s End. May saves the girl in Bahrain, the Cambridge Incident happens, Hydra reveals themselves and blames the Inhumans. “It’s me. I’ll be the monster. She wants the same fascist state she had in the Framework.” she was there for ten days tops and she got all that without the memory duplicity thing? she fucking rocks
#daisy johnson#agents of shield#aos meta#ngl my seasons 2-5 are pretty blurry so i hope this is on the mark#but there's so many of these patterns that Daisy stumbles on#and she uses it to her (SHIELD's) advantage#she's amazing

I have another idea for a fanfic.
tw: daisys depression and generally sucky time in season 4
Basically, Daisy gets taken into the Framework instead of Fitz. After some flavourtext about how 4x16 would differ if there was no doctor and fitzsimmons had to find their path in the framework, the resistance base would get attacked, and theyd have to evacuate and relocate to a backup base - afterlife, as it turns out, because if aida doesnt need to provide fitz with specimen to study, it should be fine. There, they'd be greeted by the inhumans second in command, a woman named daisy johnson. She begrudgingly lets in shield, but is pretty miffed about it since theyre barely better than Hydra in her opinion. There are tensions, and fitzsimmons find out that daisy lost her dad when Hydra emerged and started tracking down subversives. Aka, her life is pretty sad here as well. Convincing daisy that this is all fake is pretty damn impossible, since shes not very receptive to the idea that her actual life in the real world is even worse than this. It takes a hydra attack that kills jiaying and most of the inhumans in front of her to get her to come around, and its mostly because she has nothing left to lose at that point.
Thoughts?
Edit: there would also be a scene about lmd!daisy attacking fitzsimmons in the real world and retriggering all of fitz' ptsd about hive!daisy before they plug themselves in.
Also, aidas motivations would be pretty basic and unimportant here because she isnt literally trying to become a real girl for fitz.
Title would be change you like a remix from that one song by fall out boy.
And there would be lots of scenes with daisy and a jiaying who hasnt been abducted and tortured by Whitehall, but has instead raised her daughter with her husband.
i mean, a daisy who got to grow up in a loving home, surrounded by chinese and inhuman culture. the POTENTIAL. may and daisy suddenly being able to bond over chinese things as the children of asian-american immigrants. daisy actually being able to speak chinese, albeit with an accent. the pain of may and daisy being immediatley hostile towards each other once they meet in afterlife. the implications down the line of a daisy who feels even more responsible for the inhumans in the space arc of season 5a, and who would be able to shower them with the inhuman culture none of them ever got to experience. i am going insane over here.

Opinion on Ward?
DUDEEEE
Ward is just so. He's so complicated and extremely well written, I love the way they do him
With that being said, I also hate his guts
But to go more in depth, I think I can understand a lot of his motivations. He was hardly raised in a good household, his family was genuinely awful, so I do get how he saw Garrett as a father figure. As he says himself, he was never loyal to HYDRA, just Garrett. I also think that, had he not known what he was getting into, I could have more sympathy for him
He was very much groomed, but the way Ward stans often put it is that he had no idea and that he was full on brainwashed, which is not true. Ward knew what HYDRA was, if he didn't at the start he certainly did later on, and he chose to stay with them. Keep in mind that not once was Ward threatened if he left HYDRA-- the only person they could hurt was himself bc he hated his family, and he didn't care about what happened to him. He was perfectly safe the whole time
It's also really telling how almost every other AoS character had a dysfunctional household and didn't turn out like him. Coulson's dad died when he was young, May's parents were divorced, Fitz's dad walked out on him and his mom, Daisy, dear god we don't have time to get into that... it really becomes a question of nature vs nurture, how Ward might've been a good person had Garrett not been the one leading him (as we see in the Framework)
I think where my sympathy for him ends is around the start of season 2. We see that he's held by S.H.I.E.L.D. to give them information, so one would think that he's using this to kinda redeem himself, yeah? NOPE
The only time he gives information is when Skye is there bc he's obsessed with her, and constantly leaves out important tidbits that usually fuck over the team. He doesn't show regret for any of his actions, especially with Fitz, and still believes he did the right thing (throwing him into the ocean and giving him a brain injury. Yeah nice job) bc the alternative was a bullet. When he works with them again towards the end of the season, he completely ignores all their concerns and acts that they're a team again, like all he did was just a minor oopsie. My guy, YOU HURT ALL OF THEM!! STFU
And then, of course, after he accidently kills Kara, he repeats the same cycle and blames S.H.I.E.L.D. for her death, going further and further into HYDRA. This is something that Ward stans tend to leave out-- they always say how he never had a good life and that Garrett was his one concern, but they never mention how he literally started up HYDRA again long after he was gone. They never mention how he tortured Bobbi even though Kara herself didn't want that to happen to her. They constantly woob-ify and baby Ward as though he's not a full-grown adult who knows what he's doing
Oh, and for the record, HYDRA are Nazis. They're fucking Nazis. Idc if they "predated" them, they were always fascist and were more than happy to align themselves with them when they rolled around. There's a reason the writers chose to make the HYDRA-controlled Framework a parallel to 1930s Germany. HYDRA ARE NAZIS
So. I suppose I can sympathize with him to an extent and I understand why he does certain actions. But Grant Ward is an adult who was never in any risk at any point with HYDRA, and the fact that he chose to stay with them speaks to his character and how he really is as a person
#i might've rambled too long about ward stans lol#wanna make it clear that this is not talking about framework ward stans#or ward stans who simply appreciate his writing and not how he is#i'm talking about the people who excuse his behavior and act as though he did nothing wrong#when. he did multiple things wrong actually#grant ward#anti grant ward#grant ward critical#agents of shield#agents of s.h.i.e.l.d.#aos#asks#send asks#anons welcome

I have heard some rumors that Agents of Shield Fans would be happy with Vision Quest. What do you think that means, like a crossover or guest stars?
Hi Anon!
I've said it once and I'll say it again, they just need to leave our HEA branch ALONE! Fitzsimmons are in Perthshire, Dousy is in Space, Mackelena is a Shiled Power Couple, May is leading the academy, Coulson is seeing the world, and Deke is a timeline over being the Rockstart Director of Shield whom I am 100% convinced eventually found his way home thanks to Nana and Bobo. Everyone is ALIVE and HAPPY!
We've also established that thanks to said time loops and time travel branches that AOS was not in the current MCU universe that we have been seeing play out. The split happened in Season 5 when they broke the loop. Graviton specifically mentioned needing all that power to go stop Thanos, placing Infinity War going down the same time as the Season 5 Finale. Thanks to the loops, AOS missed the snap and are a few years behind the MCU as well. Season 6 picked up 18 months later while Endgame picked up 5 years later. IE AOS ended even before Endgame began. Meaning Vision Quest will take place after AOS's end as well.
I was just in panels a few weeks ago with Jeff, Chloe, and Ming and none gave any indication they were currently reprising their roles. Jeff is coming off Season 2 of One Piece, Chloe was very clear she was not involved in secret Warriors or anything Daisy related and noted she had not been allowed too work due to her contract with her Netfix show that just came out, and Ming did say she was working on something she can't talk about but it didn't give me Marvel vibes. Clark has been on Broadway.
I'm going long so under the thing.
I did track down the article where it was mentioned and here is the direct quote: Chance32252 (interviewer for the cosmic circus): What can you tell us about the direction of The Vision Show that we haven't already heard?
Alex Perez (a 'Marvel Insider'): That Agents of Shield fans will celebrate a (albeit small) win.
The Cosmic Circus has a series of intervews with Alex about upcoming projects via their Patreon. For those who have been with me since the old days you know that I take insider teases with a Boulder of salt. As most insiders we used to hear from would be wrong or have a different take on a bit of news or gossip. So its not one of the more mainstream sources I am used to trusting.
I'm going to stick with:
Some sort a small mention of the story or a character(s). After all Coulson was the "old friend" in Ultron who got the Hellicarrier out of mothballs for Fury to ride into the rescue in.
A deeper cut with a piece of tech. Previously we know that the Mousehole Fury used to escape was designed by FItz. IE we see another familiar bit of tech that could possibly tie into the LMD's as that is a major piece I could see being in the mix with Vision and something Sword may have accessed when building White Vision.
Something that nods to the different timeliness AOS spun off, Vision goes on his own rocking time travel adventure complete with almost a Musical Episode.
I think my personal favorite but not sure if it would be considered small, would be tied to the Darkhold. Robbie had the dang thing and we don't know how it went from under Ghost Rider's Bed to Wanda. The Darkhold played a major part in helping Wanda create her dream world/family. It would have gone a long way in giving Vision in there life as it did with AIDA coming from the Framework to the real-world. White Vision is a combo of Swords Vision and Wanda's Darkhold Vision.
If IF we saw any AOS character pop up my money, Ghost Rider (hey they can dream big so can I, I have been right on crazier). He is the link between Shield and Wandavision/Vision Quest via the Darkhold.
Okay that was fun! Thanks so much for the ask! Been while since I got to do a good old deep dive. AS ALWAYS MANAGE EXPECTATIONS!!!!! Daisy is not going to be quaking into the middle of a battle mid season.

I feel like if the only exposure to agents of shield you had was my blog you'd be convinced the show was set up with a Gilmore girls or the last of us type of dual parent + daughter protagonist roles starring May and Daisy. And that's because that's exactly how I watched the show and my favourite framework to analyse it from. Yes, Coulson is the technical main character. Yes his bond with Daisy is technically the central bond of the show. Unfortunately his work wife and daughter outshone him in every way to me and honestly I think he'd be happy with that. He's Daisy's nurturing and emotionally open (in comparison to May anyways) parent and he's May's action movie love interest. Sometimes they have to team up to rescue him and it's wonderful. Fitz and Simmons also exist.
#Aos#Aos rambles#Daisy's the main character obviously but Clark Gregg is first billed#Love a stealth protagonist <3

I’m rewatching Agents of Shield and here is list of things I genuinely forgot happened:
(and little things i enjoy)
season six:
- the shrike and the mercenaries first appeared in a park in indiana
- yo-yo was having a little secret relationship with one of the newer agents
- enoch suggested he and fitz work in the nearby brothel after losing their money
- enoch sent out the equivalent of an air-raid signal but only humans could hear it, so fitz, daisy & simmons were suffering
- agent kahn was pretending to be deke’s bestie
- one of the mercenaries (don’t ask which one i don’t remember their names) ended up in deke’s framework thing with his version of daisy
- s6ep4 ends with snippets of deke’s gf sequoia’s like insta stories
- “im observing from a distance” - little jemma
- in the little book about “fitz and his imaginary friend” daisy was a bunny (think like judy hopps)
- izel got fitz-simmons back to earth
- possessed may shot sarge, and his body completely recovered.
- literally did not remember that izel can like possess people
- also when they were sharing secrets davis said that he stole a space pen bc “he didn’t know that aliens write”
- how the fuck did i forget that davis actually dies???
- izel possessed him and made him fall from a fucking balcony or something
- daisy snapped sarge’s neck with her powers
- sarge calls daisy “skye” to try and get her to kill him
- flint comes back when izel is using mack and yo-yo’s worst fears to bring back the monoliths (<3)
- deke literally admits that he built his company because he felt like an outsider and no one likes him
- “flint?” “deke?” “what are you doing here?!” they’re so freaking cute
- sarge ran may through with the sword and pushed her through the gateway izel opened
- yo-yo swallowed a shrike bat
- “no that was a joke. the framework is silly and radcliffe definitely had a drinking problem” - fitz
- why the fuck does no one question that simmons just suddenly doesn’t have bangs anymore??? like no one even says anything about it??? i don’t think i even realized the first time i watched this
- daisy and mack realized they went back in time when the empire state building was the only building above the clouds
- coulson was brought back to figure out what the chronicoms would do
- i didn’t forget that daisy doesn’t even hesitate to press the button to start up LMD coulson, but i needed to mention it bc it’s so fucking sweet
