DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN | 1.01, 1.02 & 1.03
I'm not him anymore. And, I won't let myself be.
#Daredevil Born Again#Karen Page#Matt Murdock#Daredeviledit#Karedevil#ddba spoilers#Daredevil Spoilers#Not Revolution#GIF set#Mine#I'm aware the show's called Daredevil: Born Again and Matt Murdock is Daredevil. But he's not my fav character by a long shot.#I like Matt. His MO is a push-pull relationship. He doesn't trust easily. He's very self involved and he's naturally self destructive.#But currently there is too much Matt and not enough Other People. I'm missing my warm fuzzys. I'm missing the emotional element.#(I do not miss the ninjas. Do not bring back the ninjas.) I'm cautiously interested in the idea of Frank having#a f**ked up fanclub - who he has no interaction with and who are co-opting his symbol for bad. If that's what's even happening?#I'm curious about Matt and Fisk both falling into old patterns and mirroring each other. I like the tense undercurrent between Fisk and#Vanessa. I don't know where that's going but I'm happy to wait and see. I just need something to care about? I'm not sure what the goal is#Matt's life is too easy. He became a successful lawyer with a proper office with no effort and barely an inconvenience.#He now has the perfect law partner who keeps the office running and has no personal issues and never questions him. She even found him a gf#Now it's a little messed up that his gf is a therapist coz boy does he need some therapy but she is also not very interesting.#I want to see Karen's apartment in San Francisco. I want her to have a cat. I want her to be a reporter or an#investigator? Maybe she just comes back to NY on her own. Matt screws up BIG and she shows up. Because he needs family and#she's all the family he has left. I want bickering. I want laughter. I want tears. And glaring and eye rolls.#I did not sign up for a show where Matt pretends he wants to be a lawyer for 9 episodes.#If the original version of this show was 'Matt pretends he wants to be a lawyer for 18 episodes' I can see why they changed it.#(This is the least spoilery post ever... but better to be safe than sorry)

i like that we see hints of a sort of intuitive rapport in this scene between mensah and pin-lee! that little forearm touch especially made me go 👀👀
#murderbot tv show#murderbot spoilers#murderbot tv#murderbot gifs#gifs#they way they react to and interact with each other here is so lovely#other moments in the first two eps with them did kinda take me aback/disappoint me like writing-wise i think#it seems like maybe their working relationship is kind of new in the show and p-l is only just coming to start to respect mensah#i wanted p-l to be a little pining and deferential/respectful and it was hard to see them so harsh on mensah in multiple moments#esp since they were so sweet with various other chars.. why are they so aggro/rude and argumentative with her specifically? :(#like okay because they feel comfortable doing so but..that feels..? esp since mensah feels kinda fragile it's hard to watch a little for me#like ik they are stressed but. okay anyway also i am new to gifset making so i'm trying to get better but if these suck i am sorry 😭😭😭#anyway i really hope things will be better between them interpersonally in future eps. i need more of this kinda stuff!! 🥺💛#btw the acting is amazing!! mensah obviously is perfect in every way. & pin-lee is so perfectly acted despite writing elements that i like#a bit less. but like it is so clear that tv pin-lee feels and thinks in a very similar way to book p-l which is super cool#it's just the handling of the interpersonal stuff/dialogue that made me have a kneejerk what happened to my blorbo moment i think#eta okay i have more thoughts and i may write a fic about it but i think some of it is a parallel & contrast with p-l's dynamic with arada#and illustrating that p-l has an immature/unhealthy way of navigating power dynamics/people having diff forms of power over them#and it's easy/safer to push back against mensah (p-l not knowing abt mensah's anxiety or seeing self as harmful/rude) but not with arada..

I love seeing people's characterizations of Nerevar because the fella is so important, but he also functionally isn't a character. He has almost no characterization to speak of. You can pull some tidbits out about how he might of been, but he's basically a plot device--a backstory for all the important people. The only accounts we hear about him are from the most biased and untrustworthy sources in the whole game. So it's so fun to see what people do with those scraps. At this point he's Morrowind fans' collectively owned OC

oh yeah by the way given the subject matter the past few releases i've made myself a little lore document to keep track of all the elemental people (avatars, great dragons, titans, champions, and envoys) because i wanted to keep my facts straight
like we know what cryozen, the dragon of ice, looks like, and the fact that they (yes, they; diversity win this enormous fuck you dragon uses they/them pronouns) had a dragonlord at one point named vilmor (i'm assuming she/her? her face item is referred to as a "visage" which is the fem version of the "morph" items, but there is no masc "morph").
the great dragon of darkness is named dekanor. nobody knows what dekanor looks like, but the legion has made weapons depicting what they think dekanor looks like anyway.
by process of elimination i've surmised that the great dragon of light is prismagon and the great dragon of air is levidon because those names are not subtle.
the element we know the most about is fire, having seen two avatars, its titan, killed its dragon, befriended its champion long ago, and knowing its temporary envoy.
#fae talks#aqw#aqworlds#adventurequest worlds#also we have witnessed about 3 champions of darkness and 2/3 of them have gotten fucken ganked so far#dethrix gets ganked by valen and so valen gets a klingon promotion/you kill it you bought it#possibly#unclear#but we do know for a fact at least that the elemental plane of darkness itself was like 'fuck this shit'#and decided to create the goodest boy known to man#like has anybody else thought through the fact that artix isnt technically human?#he was placed in the care of human foster parents#after being literally formed out of the ether in the plane of darkness#and then when the darkness tried to reclaim him the lady celestia/the paladins were like 'lol nope' and scooped him up#[grasps rat] youre my friend now#sometimes i think about artix's first and so far only interaction with voidstar being#'i have never met you but i feel like i have known you forever'#like 🥺🥺🥺#also! fun fact for those still reading (for some reason)#artix doesn't use contractions when he speaks!#it's a character tic for him#seriously watch any cutscene with him and you'll never see this man say can't won't don't we'll i'll etc#once you notice it you can't unnotice it#i first noticed way back when i first started and i was perusing cutscenes for past events#the second birthday event specifically#ft the first and so far only time we've had a voice acted cutscene with artix in it#and he says and i quote#'un...dead.... artix? and you did not take me to fight him? i want to fight undead artix! i am so jealous of yooooooooouuuuuuuu!!!'#no contractions.#man has principles and he sticks with them

Fortnight of Books, Day 14
A book you didn’t read in 2024 that will be your #1 priority in 2025?
I wouldn't say it's my top priority, but I chased a reread of Little Women all over my TBR last year and never settled down to it. It's still waiting patiently on my shelf for me.
I also still have not got around to reading Emily B. Martin's Ashes to Fire (I read the first book, Woodwalker, back in 2023) so hopefully I can finally get to it this year.
New book you are most anticipating for 2025?
I'm assuming this means new releases, but I nearly always read new-ish releases by pure happenstance, so I'm going with new-to-me:
Pawn in Frankincense by Dorothy Dunnett. It's not actually in my Top Five anticipated reads for 2025, but it is the book I am most dreading. Because I was so stressed out at the end of the last book and where things were setting up for this installment that I broke my own rule and looked up spoilers (actually super difficult with this fandom) anddddddd it's not gonna be good. I'm gonna read it but I will suffer the entire time. (If anyone reading this has read Pawn in Frankincense, this is me holding out my hand begging for help. Please hold me.)
From my Top Five list, I'm excited to finally read Sorcery and Cecelia. I love Wrede's writing so I have no idea why it's taken so long to get to this series.

Thinking abt the second dream story featuring a third dream story I can't remember if I ever talked abt. I <3 body horror bonus points if its slow and agonizing
#rat rambles#oc posting#the more recent dream was far less defined of a story than the other two main dreams I based stories off of but it still stuck with me#mostly because it involed dragons and body horror and both of those things are sick as hell#and I decided to put it in the same world at the story with grim since that dream also technically had dragons in it#ok but actually the main reason is to fill in some worldbuilding gaps that planted grief (the working name for grims story) had#Im still working on the worldbuilding it's been a slow process since neither story has rly gotten to be my primary focus at any given time#but Im slowly getting somewhere#mainly the important thing is figuring out what the world outside of planted grief's setting looks like and how much magic is in either#for context an important element of this world is that it is a very magical world but a certain region of it is more or less blocked off#from the rest of the world and within that region magic is far less prevelant to the point that for most ppl it may as well not exist#now for what I have so far its not necessary that these ppl don't know magic exists its just that its like. kind of hard for them to#remember it does? like when they see magic they are able to recognize it's magic and as smth fairly normal if not a bit weird to see here#but when there isnt actively magical shit going on they just sort of. cant hold onto that knowledge and forget abt it#this also applies to a lot of other things relating to magic and the rest of the world outside the region#its why they're pretty well known for their region being cursed as hell and its people even more cursed#outside the region it's pretty well known that some great tragedy befell those lands at some point in the far off past that probably is the#cause of how weird and fucky things are over there and that the barriers were set up at some point to stop it from spreading#nowadays the borders aren't super strict and people are free to cross them given they go through the proper paperwork and stuff#but most ppl on either side tend to at least be heavily advised to not take the risk for many reasons#its generally not too uncommon for outsiders to move in for work reasons tho#the main concern is that the more magical one is the harder time theyll have since ppl will often just. forget they exist when not directly#interacting with them. which isnt usually too bad but it does lead to various safety concerns that have to be addressed#the good news is that generally the longer one hangs around people the easier time they'll have remembering them as they form their own#associations with them and are able to cling to the memory that way#but the bad news is that while foreigners will never be completely susceptible to the curse™ they will start to feel the effects of it the#longer they live there which tends to be very distressing to those who end up living there long term#one part of the curse™ theyll never be hit with as hard as locals is the days of grief that hit the population Hard every now and then#basically just full days where everyone is suddenly completely inconsolable or just otherwise out of it and then completely forget abt it#once the local dragons deal with the source of the issue

You're more amazing than 3D models
I haven't made any 3D models in months, but I have made 3 Differentcolorsofcommoncards! Here's the greens
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I renamed a few that I showed previously because I think I've figured out the flavor I want to go with. Still placeholder names obviously, but slightly more fitting placeholder names
#custom cards#specifically the flavor is that white/enchantments revolve around some kind of religion thing#red/artifacts are some artificer faction#and black/green/blue counters are like. some kinda genetic modification thing#all of them chasing improvement in their own ways#anyway i also finished all the white and red commons!#black is already half-done so i gotta work on the blues next#i like the idea of daily updates but i'm making cards faster than i can post them lol this is awesome#i love being done with college!#but i'm gonna have to get a job at some point :(#i'll just have to finish the set before then!#and at the rate i'm going that's definitely achievable!#i think i should break for today. i don't want to burn out and then leave this sitting for a month#also! very big news! i finally figured out how to get tumblr mass image uploading to do things in the right order!#it puts the images from top to bottom based on how they're sorted in the file explorer#except to make things confusing the specific image you drag will always be at the top#i had it sorted by date so the lowest numbered cards were at the bottom which put everything upside down#in other news i changed “bow blessing” to “spider's support” which is not for faction reasons like the others#it's just such a perfect name because the card basically has support 2#and bow blessing was an aura but i changed it because green so i wanted to name the new version differently#also i'm kinda really unsatisfied with green/white being enchantments#white needs an enchantment archetype obviously but it doesn't interact with anything that green is doing#in fact i have trouble making green auras because they do the same thing as counters#blue having an artifact theme would probably cause the same problems if it weren't for supply tokens connecting the themes#but at least blue has modified as a major theme so it can use auras well#and green having both +1 counters and keyword counters takes up all the design space for auras#i'll just have to try making lots of green non-aura enchantments and resonance elementals at uncommon#ka asks

Principles and Laws of Magic for Fantasy Writers
Fundamental Laws
1. Law of Conservation of Magic- Magic cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
3. Law of Equivalent Exchange- To gain something, an equal value must be given.
5. Law of Magical Exhaustion- Using magic drains the user’s energy or life force.
Interaction and Interference
4. Law of Magical Interference- Magic can interfere with other magical effects.
6. Law of Magical Contamination- Magic can have unintended side effects.
8. Law of Magical Inertia- Magical effects continue until stopped by an equal or greater force.
Resonance and Conditions
7. Law of Magical Resonance- Magic resonates with certain materials, places, or times.
9. Law of Magical Secrecy- Magic must be kept secret from the non-magical world.
11. Law of Magical Hierarchy- Different types of magic have different levels of power and difficulty.
Balance and Consequences
10. Law of Magical Balance- Every positive magical effect has a negative consequence.
12. Law of Magical Limitation- Magic has limits and cannot solve every problem.
14. Law of Magical Rebound- Misused magic can backfire on the user.
Special Conditions
13. Law of Magical Conduits- Certain objects or beings can channel magic more effectively.
15. Law of Magical Cycles- Magic may be stronger or weaker depending on cycles (e.g., lunar phases).
17. Law of Magical Awareness- Some beings are more attuned to magic and can sense its presence.
Ethical and Moral Laws
16. Law of Magical Ethics- Magic should be used responsibly and ethically.
18. Law of Magical Consent- Magic should not be used on others without their consent.
20. Law of Magical Oaths- Magical promises or oaths are binding and have severe consequences if broken.
Advanced and Rare Laws
19. Law of Magical Evolution- Magic can evolve and change over time.
20. Law of Magical Singularities- Unique, one-of-a-kind magical phenomena exist and are unpredictable.
Unique and Imaginative Magical Laws
- Law of Temporal Magic- Magic can manipulate time, but with severe consequences. Altering the past can create paradoxes, and using time magic ages the caster rapidly.
- Law of Emotional Resonance- Magic is amplified or diminished by the caster’s emotions. Strong emotions like love or anger can make spells more powerful but harder to control.
- Law of Elemental Harmony- Magic is tied to natural elements (fire, water, earth, air). Using one element excessively can disrupt the balance and cause natural disasters.
- Law of Dream Magic- Magic can be accessed through dreams. Dreamwalkers can enter others’ dreams, but they risk getting trapped in the dream world.
- Law of Ancestral Magic- Magic is inherited through bloodlines. The strength and type of magic depend on the caster’s ancestry, and ancient family feuds can influence magical abilities.
- Law of Symbiotic Magic- Magic requires a symbiotic relationship with magical creatures. The caster and creature share power, but harming one affects the other.
- Law of Forgotten Magic- Ancient spells and rituals are lost to time. Discovering and using forgotten magic can yield great power but also unknown dangers.
- Law of Magical Echoes- Spells leave behind echoes that can be sensed or traced. Powerful spells create stronger echoes that linger longer.
- Law of Arcane Geometry- Magic follows geometric patterns. Spells must be cast within specific shapes or alignments to work correctly.
- Law of Celestial Magic- Magic is influenced by celestial bodies. Spells are stronger during certain astronomical events like eclipses or planetary alignments.
- Law of Sentient Magic- Magic has a will of its own. It can choose to aid or hinder the caster based on its own mysterious motives.
- Law of Shadow Magic- Magic can manipulate shadows and darkness. Shadowcasters can travel through shadows but are vulnerable to light.
- Law of Sympathetic Magic- Magic works through connections. A spell cast on a representation of a person (like a doll or portrait) affects the actual person.
- Law of Magical Artifacts- Certain objects hold immense magical power. These artifacts can only be used by those deemed worthy or who possess specific traits.
- Law of Arcane Paradoxes- Some spells create paradoxes that defy logic. These paradoxes can have unpredictable and often dangerous outcomes.
- Law of Elemental Fusion- Combining different elemental magics creates new, hybrid spells with unique properties and effects.
- Law of Ethereal Magic- Magic can interact with the spirit world. Ethereal mages can communicate with spirits, but prolonged contact can blur the line between life and death.
- Law of Arcane Symbiosis- Magic can bond with technology, creating magical machines or enchanted devices with extraordinary capabilities.
- Law of Dimensional Magic- Magic can open portals to other dimensions. Dimensional travelers can explore alternate realities but risk getting lost or encountering hostile beings.
- Law of Arcane Sacrifice- Powerful spells require a sacrifice, such as a cherished memory, a personal item, or even a part of the caster’s soul.

I urgently needed to talk about the last scene between Sonic and Shadow in the third movie, because I think what they did is simply beautiful. 🥹💙❤️🖤
Tumblr media
Before Sonic 3 came out, there was debate over who would be the one to change Shadow's mind since at that point, there was no solid indication that Amy or Rouge would appear. I was a fan of the idea that maybe they'd have Jojo be the one to remind Shadow of Maria's wish, since she was an established character from the start and fits the profile like a cheerful, caring, and optimistic girl.
However, seeing that in the end they made it so that Sonic was the one who talked to Shadow and convinced him to fight to save the world, surprised me and at the same time fascinated me infinitely more. Because they managed to make the change organic by connecting it with narrative elements that were also raised and developed from the beginning; Sonic's grief over losing Longclaw and his paternal relationship with Tom, making this moment something special and significant for both of them:
It is a moment of connection and understanding between two people who have lost the person who was once the most important in their lives, who loved them when no one else did and gave them a home,
That for a long time they had to deal alone with the pain and guilt of having been the trigger for their deaths but, as they emphasize in the film, While Sonic was able to find a family that would love him and help him get better and cope with that pain, Shadow was alone and the only person he interacted with after awakening, only manipulated him in order to fulfill his revenge.
Until this moment, where Shadow finally meets someone who not only knows his pain perfectly but has also learned to move forward and not let it corrupt him even in the most difficult moments, and who in turn motivates him to do the same.
All of this contributes fantastically to their connection, as it is no longer just that their personalities and ways of acting are opposite, but also the way in which their stories correlate and at the same time distinguish each other, creating a new and emotional parallelism between them: They are two sides of the same coin, two extremes that ultimately come together to bring out the best in each other.
Which is beautifully reflected throughout the final battle. Sonic and Shadow display effortless synergy, supporting each other, backing each other up, and even casually joking around.
A good reminder of the great chemistry and dynamism they used to have years ago. Unlike now that they make it seem like Shadow barely tolerates Sonic, before they both had a friendly rivalry where they respected each other, valued each other and helped each other without problem. And I'm really glad the movie brought back some of that dynamic and reflected it in such a natural and fun way, and I hope that continues for future SCU projects instead of sticking to the current direction.
And I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan of Sonadow, but because I genuinely believe that this is the most natural direction for their relationship after all this time.

Cang Qiong Mountain Sect and its peaks are obviously pretty famous within the world of PIDW/SVSSS. They've all got reputations. However, there is considerable bias to this, not just due to the Shen Yuan POV (or Airplane POV or so on), but also because almost all of the story has the characters operating within CQMS itself, on its business, or within the directly connected cultivation world just beyond it.
It is not really possible to get an accurate reading of what the average outsider would actually know about CQMS and its individual peaks from SVSSS. Characters like Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge and Yue Qingyuan are clearly outliers when it comes to fame, becoming the features of an extremely popular scandal and series of political incidents. By the time that Shen Yuan is talking to anyone far outside of the cultivation world, his life is some of the juiciest gossip out there.
Thinking about this because I was mulling over some dialogue phrasing. For example, I think that many people outside of CQMS might look at Head Disciple Yue Qingyuan and casually call him "the head disciple of Cang Qiong", but Yue Qingyuan himself and the other future peak lords would probably always more specifically call him "the head disciple of Qiong Ding Peak", which is more relevant within CQMS and which any CQMS disciple will understand means that YQY is also the future sect leader.
Obviously, there's the formal titles aspect of things; people will refer to each other differently within different contexts, depending on what features of that person are relevant. Most other sect cultivators will also simply know what Qiong Ding Peak is and may choose to specify that. There may also be a social balance element where the other CQMS head disciples want to emphasize their own authority and get a little miffed if YQY is too frequently framed as the sect's only real leader. Other sect cultivators may privately tell each other, "Don't just call them a cultivator from Cang Qiong, it offends those people if you don't get their special subsect right," or else, "If you want to piss off a Cang Qiong cultivator, act like their peaks don't exist and they're all part of one big sect with no inner differences, they hate that shit."
Anyway, all this made me think that there has to be some funny occasional interactions with random peasants far from the sect or junior minor sect disciples who know fuck all about the CQMS peaks, people who have to straight-up tell some Wan Jian Peak disciple: "I don't know what that is. Oh, third peak of Cang Qiong-? CANG QIONG! I know what THAT is! Why didn't you just SAY that?!"
Blood Orange Meme: "'Qing Jing Peak?' She's so pretentious. Shut up, it's fucking Cang Qiong. 'Qing Jing Peak.'"

why are printers so hated? it's simple:
computers are good at computering. they are not good at the real world.
the biggest problems in computers, the ones that have had to change the most over the time they've existed, are the parts that deal with the real world. The keyboard, the mouse, the screen. every computer needs these, but they involve interacting with the real world. that's a problem. that's why they get replaced so much.
now, printers: printers have some of the most complex real-world interaction. they need to deposit ink on paper in 2 dimensions, and that results in at least three ways it can go on right from the start. (this is why 3D printers are just 2D printers that can go wrong in another whole dimension)
scanners fall into many of the same problems printers have, but fewer people have scanners, and they're not as cost-optimized. But they are nearly as annoying.
This is also why you can make a printer better by cutting down on the number of moving elements: laser printers are better than inkjets, because they only need to move in one dimension, and their ink is a powder, not a liquid. and the best-behaved printers of all are thermal printers: no ink and the head doesn't move. That's why every receipt printer is a thermal printer, because they need that shit to work all the time so they can sell shit. And thermal is the most reliable way to do that.
But yeah, cost-optimization is also a big part of why printers are such finicky unreliable bastards: you don't want to pay much for them. Who is excited for all the printing they're gonna be doing? basically nobody. But people get forced to have a printer because they gotta print something, for school or work or the government or whatever. So they want the cheapest thing that'll work. They're not shopping on features and functionality and design, they want something that costs barely anything, and can fucking PRINT. anything else is an optional bonus.
And here's the thing: there's a fundamental limit of how much you can optimize an inkjet printer, and we got near to it in like the late 90s. Every printer since then has just been a tad smaller, a tad faster, and added some gimmicks like printing from WIFI or bluetooth instead of needing to plug in a cable.
And that's the worst place to be in, for a computer component. The "I don't care how fancy it is, just give me one that works" zone. This is why you can buy a keyboard for 20$ and a mouse for 10$ and they both work plenty fine for 90% of users. They're objectively shit compared to the ones in the 60-150$ range, but do they work? yep. So that's what people get.
Printers fell into that zone long, long ago, when people stopped getting excited about "desktop publishing". So with printers shoved into the "make them as cheap as possible" zone, they have gotten exponentially shittier. Can you cut costs by 5$ a printer by making them jam more often? good. make them only last a couple years to save a buck or two per unit? absolutely. Can you make the printer cost 10$ less and make that back on the proprietary ink cartridges? oh, they've been doing that since Billy Clinton was in office.
It's the same place floppy disks were in in about 2000. CD-burners were not yet cheap enough, USB flash drives didn't exist yet (but were coming), modems weren't fast enough yet to copy stuff over the internet, superfloppies hadn't taken over like some hoped, and memory cards were too expensive and not everyone had a drive for them. So we still needed floppy disks, but at the same time this was a technology that hadn't changed in nearly 20 years. So people were tired of paying out the nose for them... the only solution? cut corners. I have floppy disks from 1984 that read perfectly, but a shrinkwrapped box of disks from 1999 will have over half the disks failed. They cut corners on the material quality, the QA process, the cleaning cloth inside the disk, everything they could. And the disks were shit as a result.
So, printers are in that particular note of the death-spiral where they've reached the point of "no one likes or cares about this technology, but it's still required so it's gone to shit". That's why they are so annoying, so unreliable, so fucking crap.
So, here's the good news:
You can still buy a better printer, and it will work far better. Laser printers still exist, and LED printers work the same way but even cheaper. They're still more expensive than inkjets (especially if you need color), but if you have to print stuff, they're a godsend. Way more reliable.
This is not a stable equilibrium. Printers cannot limp along in this terrible state forever. You know why I brought up floppy disk there? (besides the fact I'm a giant floppy disk nerd) because floppy disks GOT REPLACED. Have you used one this decade? CD-Rs and USB drives and internet sharing came along and ate the lunch of floppy disks, so much so that it's been over a decade since any more have been made. The same will happen to (inkjet) printers, eventually. This kind of clearly-broken situation cannot hold. It'll push people to go paperless, for companies to build cheaper alternatives to take over from the inkjets, or someone will come up with a new, more reliable printer based on some new technology that's now cheap enough to use in printers. Yeah, it sucks right now, but it can't last.
So, in conclusion: Printers suck, but this is both an innate problem caused by them having to deal with so much fucking Real World, and a local minimum of reliability that we're currently stuck in. Eventually we'll get out of this valley on the graph and printers will bother people a lot less.
Random fun facts about printing of the past and their local minimums:
in the hot metal type era, not only would the whole printing process expose you to lead, the most common method of printing text was the linotype, which could go wrong in a very fun way: if the next for a line wasn't properly justified (filling out the whole row), it could "squirt", and lead would escape through gaps in the type matrix. This would result in molten lead squirting out of the machine, possibly onto the operator. Anecdotally, linotype operators would sometimes recognize each other on the street because of the telltale spots on their forearms where they had white splotches where no hair grew, because they got bad lead burns. This type of printing remained in use until the 80s.
Another fun type of now-retired printers are drum printers, a type of line printer. These work something like a typewriter or dot-matrix printer, except the elements extend across the entire width of the paper. So instead of printing a character at time by smacking it into the paper, the whole line got smacked nearly at once. The problem is that if the paper jammed and the printer continued to try to print, that line of the paper would be repeatedly struck at high speed, creating a lot of heat. This worry created the now-infamous Linux error: "lp0 on fire". This was displayed when the error signals from a parallel printer didn't make sense... and it was a real worry. A high speed printer could definitely set the paper on fire, though this was rare.
So... one thing to be grateful about current shitty inkjet printers: they are very unlikely to burn anything, especially you.
(because before they could do that they'd have to work, at least a little, first, and that's very unlikely)

Because one minute ago, he was speeding after you in yet another store after you spotted something you really liked, and now his hand isn’t his anymore- it’s basically yours. He doesn’t understand the obsession- and he certainly doesn’t think you need any makeup, but he likes seeing you like this. Happy- in your element, looking so normal as if you didn’t kill a nest of vampires the day before.
It’s not like you do this often- you don’t. But a lot of your makeup has ran out so it was only fair you took him along on a trip to the nearest mall.
You know he doesn’t get it- but you also enjoy seeing him annoyed. The way he rolls his eyes, pretends to hate it when you know deep down he loves this- because he’s with you, and as long as he’s with you he doesn’t really care what you make him do.
Deans hands hurt from how much you pull at them. His ego is a little bruised, and when he looks down at them, it looks like some not-so-great painter decided to make his hands their canvas. He takes a look at your hands- and they don’t look any better. They’re full of different colors, different products and textures, he tries to, but he can’t even spot your skin under all of the makeup.
He gets out of his daze when he hears you giggle.
‘What?’ He looks up at you, yet another shade of lipstick in your hands ready to spill on his.
‘Nothing, you just look like you’d rather be anywhere but here.’ You snicker again.
‘No it’s not that. I’m with you, I don’t mind.’ He says, you know he’s lying in parts. He would rather do anything else- but he is with you, and that part makes him happy.
‘No it’s okay. I’m done anyway, let me buy this and we can go.’ You smile at him while pointing at the basket at your feet full of makeup products.
Dean rolls his eyes because he can’t believe you need that much stuff- how many products can a girl put on her face, seriously?
He waits by your side at the register. He sees your smile when you take the bag, not caring about the amount of money you just spent.
‘You hungry?’ You take his hand in yours, and walk out of the store.
‘Starving.’ He answers.
‘Good. Me too.’ You’re still looking up at him, and he gets the message. He sees how your neck extends, as to tell him ‘kiss me.’
He doesn’t wait, he stops in his tracks, leans down and puts his lips on yours.
‘I’m sorry I dragged you here.’ You apologize breaking the kiss and taking both of his hands in yours.
‘Don’t. We don’t get a lot of normal moments together, this was nice.’
‘So, how long ‘til you wash these hands of yours?’ You tease.
‘The second I find a bathroom. This is a nightmare.’ His lips form a smirk, and you’ve never been happier.

YANDERE JING YUAN HCS | previous characters
Tumblr media
cw: gender neutral reader, non-con, reader here has a more timid and anxious personality to highlight Jing Yuan’s character, Jing Yuan lore spoilers, potentially OOC, angst, controlling relationship, non-explicit smut elements, punishments, isolation, sound torture, collaring, coddling, codependency, overprotectiveness, one occasion of inflicting self-harm, manipulation.
Word count: around 5k. (yes, pretty lengthy hcs… Jing Yuan is my kink.)
Minors do not interact.
Tumblr media
Origins
Jing Yuan covets people and things he can tuck under his wing to keep safe. This provides him with a feeling of stability and safety, a place where he can realign his sometimes unsteady thoughts weighed down by the past and fills him with a sense of purpose in his rather solitary personal life. As soon as you arrived in his surroundings, he promptly decided to take on the role of your "caregiver.”
➤ Meeting you was a poignant reminder of how certain individuals can be overlooked or marginalized by society. There isn't anything inherently wrong with you; rather, it was your shy demeanor or the tendency to struggle with conforming to what’s seen as acceptable that made him one of the few who was “brave” enough to try to connect with you. Jing Yuan is drawn to individuals like you, as you have the ability to evoke a stronger desire in him to nurture and safeguard.
You were a mere mailroom clerk at the time, responsible for sorting, distributing, and managing mail within the Seat of Divine Foresight; occasionally appearing outside of your little room to push the stroll into different departments, not noticed by many, too sheepish to approach your colleagues. Until he spotted you, an unexpected onlooker with a small sparkle of light in your barely limelit spectacle of life.
One time, you had the honor to deliver correspondence to the General yourself personally; you were so nervous, somehow anticipating a scene where you made a fool of yourself in front of such a grandiose figure. The gentleness and patience he showed you that time soothed your anxiety somewhat, but did not erase the small suspicions that arose simultaneously at his kind act, combined with who he already was. Surely, a man cannot be this perfect? Surely, it’s perplexing when someone is nice to you for once, genuinely? Just like a wounded animal, hence another reason why he had found you so charming… and worth taking a shot in the dark for.
➤ Not much time passed before you found yourself frequently running into him, or even being invited inside his office during your breaks for tea… How are you doing? Are your colleagues treating you well? Are there any interests of yours you’d like to tell him about?
You being underestimated didn’t mean you were naive; thus, you couldn’t accept his thoughtfulness and hospitality entirely, trying to reckon what he was up to. Still, give a starving person what they want, and they’ll allow themselves a hope to expect more. Being alone or misunderstood was causing your wellbeing to erode.
Given his meetings with you and given his popularity, you saw him everywhere, you heard him everywhere — Jing Yuan didn’t even have to try hard to make himself appear perpetually on your mind. It made him feel giddy — his head was addled with excited thoughts of how often it could be that you’ve been busying yourself this way. Same compulsion was in worrying himself whether you were alright on your own, counting days until he could take another step with you — not hasty, not accidental, as calculated.
➤ At some stage of getting to know you, Jing Yuan incentivized you to enter a relationship with him. Whether you were ready for it or not, it had happened anyway. Jing Yuan was constantly reminding you of how beneficial his care was, through actions and kind words, while also stepping back when you felt overwhelmed to show how respectful he is. He called it reassurance, until in your mind, he engraved the belief that you don’t have much to lose, only bountiful gains to collect.
It was acceptable when you thought of yourself as a parasite — someone willingly taking care of you was enticing, and perhaps that guilt was making you more compliant. There wasn’t really any other place for you to go, if you didn’t want to spend the rest of your life alone.
How he treats the situation
He knows that even the most sensitive version of you is destined to become exhausted by his protective and clingy behaviors; he knows you feel suffocated, and he’s mostly aware of what he’s doing — he is storming into your life with selfishness. Selfishness, as even if he could excuse himself with altruistic care, that nurturing spirit is still unsolicited and controlling, with him owning the majority of your life in the end. Not to mention, he’s not helping you; he only enables your helplessness. Still, he believes it’s for your own good as well, that you still are not doing the greatest regardless, and doesn’t see much potential in you.
➤ Before he could even have you, Jing Yuan wholeheartedly will shape a conjecture about you being in need of him. In his mind, some people are so vulnerable and fragile they need someone else to step in and take charge; he doesn’t find it detestable, either. You’re not getting paid the most, you don’t really have anyone else in your life, being stuck in a dark office every day is overwhelming, and you’re an easy target for others. He wants to protect you and take care of you… even if it’s not fair to make such decisions for you. Those who are independent and perfectly oriented in managing daily life, he feels pride for, and wishes them well. Those who are not… they are as worthy, but might require some assistance; and he’s seen people suffer for centuries to witness. That’s why your relationship life is bound to be full of being coddled and watched over.
For example, he thinks it is his responsibility to remove you from harm’s way. He believes you’re too clumsy, you’re not the strongest physically, you probably can’t stand up for yourself… he will reach the point where becomes overprotective. He has enough bias to do so, carrying a heavy luggage of bad memories.
But, don’t take his words at face value — Jing Yuan has a tendency to overdraw the negative picture of your capabilities for his own excuses. ‘Protection’ and ‘care’ are pretty euphemisms.
➤ Any other person would have felt used or tired of repeatedly having to do everything for someone; yet he’s excited for such a future. You make him feel needed at the idea of having someone by his side and to take care of; comforting after losing his old friends and companions and living in the solitude of closer relationships following the separation.
Sure, Luofu cannot function without him either, but this doesn’t fall into a more intimate field. Yanqing had required his care for a while, but he’s grown big enough to manage most of his things on his own; a soldier needs to be independent anyhow. There are people that sometimes come into his life, such as the Astral Express crew, until they and Dan Heng leave too.
So, if there’s anyone that’s being used in your relationship, it’s you — being a cure for his loneliness and feeding his obsession.
➤ Whether you remain malleable or, should you still feel vigilant in your relationship, it doesn’t matter. Lower yourself to only a few occasional charges and whines about how disconcerting it is when he’s too clingy, and he’ll laugh it off, perhaps apologize, and promise to tone down his affections as your relationship continues, with you still withholding most of your freedom. However, you may not be aware he’s pulling the strings for your life choices, which they usually lead you down a path where you keep ending up with him…
Thinking of taking a break from this “oppressive” bond? Now you have to handle a sad Jing Yuan and your own guilt, with your sensitive nature not helping. He’s been trying so hard, and yet you’re rejecting him… he guesses you’ll leave him like anyone else (even if you’re still not privy to his past, just possessing a mere general idea). If that doesn’t work and you don’t buy his act, he’ll give you space until you miss yourself, or at least the attachment and codependency he built. You’ll be back to him in no time.
No matter what choice you’ll make, you remain in his arms, without any use of force.
➤ He might be willing to offer a lot, but don’t make a fool of Jing Yuan. He’s still a sly, strategic, and cunning man—he hasn’t managed to lead Luofu as a general for so long without some prowess and intelligence, nor were all of his choices fair or “legal.” He has you where he wants you to be.
Living with him
A warm house and a loving partner should make you feel safe – but are you safe from Jing Yuan's overbearing presence? You’re not that fragile, you’re pretty sure; yet, he believes in what serves him well.
➤ In your relationship with Jing Yuan, you will find yourself being urged to stay at his home quite soon; as if moving in weren't already a smooth process. You don’t need to tire yourself working every day — he has more than enough to provide for you. If you’re prone to not handling stress well, he’ll tell you it’s for the best. You can do some light work around the house, as long as he doesn’t deem it risky or straining.
Nonetheless, Jing Yuan won’t cut you off from the world. You’re not allowed to leave the house when he’s not here or without him (it’s dangerous out there, you should know), but he takes you out regularly. He knows isolation is bad for anyone, he knows you’ll only get fussier. He also doesn’t want people questioning his relationship with you — he might even take you to some event if you’ve been well-behaved. People in Luofu might not always be fond of you, but they see him beaming with happiness, and he’s not afraid to correct certain misconceptions about you.
➤ Jing Yuan doesn’t want to treat you like a child who needs help with everything; that is, inherently. However, he still does plenty of things for you, disguised as care to further drive his fixation on being vital and thinking you’re fragile until you sometimes feel like you’re losing your mind. Deep down inside, he knows you’re better than what he paints you as, even if far from perfect, but he chooses to cling to hyperboles for his own motives.
He understands that you’re not particularly fond of the lifestyle he imposes on you. This brings up the dilemma in case you finally break down — if he tries to comfort you, you’ll feel even more suffocated. If he gives you space, he’ll feel as if he’s not there for you. Fortunately, he’ll step back if you’re fairly upset, recognizing how important it is to give you some autonomy and striving for equilibrium. Still, don’t push back too hard, or he’ll be the one who feels upset.
➤ You can count on him emotionally, but it’ll come off as feeling reluctant for you to do — asking for uplifting will be kind of admitting his points, even if he’s not right.
➤ While Jing Yuan could and will paint himself as a friendly and loving figure to you, it is difficult for him to open up and be vulnerable with you, especially about his past. He’s used to carrying burdens on his shoulders, he still doesn’t trust you fully to not betray him somehow (you’re given reasons to), and he doesn’t like the pain speaking about memories brings. On the other hand, your sensitivity is something that makes him want to take advantage of your empathy.
➤ If you like sleeping a lot, you’re a lucky person. If you don’t, or you simply need to use the bathroom in the morning… bless your soul, as you’re not allowed to get up until he does. It’s not just the fact he wakes up late whenever he can; he also often crushes you with his body, either lying on top of you or holding you too tightly. Sometimes, he even drools on you.
➤ He is generally affectionate; even if he mostly focuses on your feelings over his. Physical affection is his love language, though he often tells you he loves you as well. Yet, hearing it doesn’t always sound right… he might as well claim there are invisible chains connecting the two of you — the idea of breaking them feels liberating, but also brings the fear of abandonment.
You appreciate his working hours the most.
➤ Except constant teases and occasional pranks. He might be more circumspect in how far he goes to not cross your boundaries too much, but he’ll be happy if you let him be a child for a moment.
➤ He knows boredom or anxiety often affects you, so he tries to keep you busy. Hobbies are encouraged if you're not being too frigid lately (he can't be too soft), and they don’t pose any injury risks.
Or he lets you assist him in his daily gardening and watering routine. However, if you mess something up (or hurt yourself), you’ll see him become unnaturally nervous before he ushers you back inside — you and his plants are that important to him. Here also comes the warning: don’t destroy his garden on purpose, no matter how angry you might be at him for something. Even he doesn’t know how he’d react.
Also, you will become a chess master, whether you wanted it or not.
➤ His hair is a mess. He often almost demands that you do it for him, brushing and deep conditioning and whatnot, acting like it’s too tedious to do it alone and he needs your help. It's difficult work, but it’s hard to say no when it’s you being able to do things on your own for once; he clearly enjoys your touch too.
➤ He likes to compare you to birds all the time. As they’re often seen as a symbol of freedom, to him it’s about fragility and keeping precious things safe.
➤ You’re extricated from cooking. While Jing Yuan would love for the domesticity of you cooking for him, most of the time he’d prefer to do it himself. One thing is that he likes to tend to you…
…the other is that he doesn’t trust you that much. You’d probably end up burning yourself with how clumsy you are, so to ensure you’re not doing that when he’s not home, he has a safety system installed that turns off stoves during programmed hours — Luofu is advanced like that. You can’t even make yourself tea or coffee — the electric kettle is gone, so you can use only the traditional one when he’s home. He feeds you three times a day (at random times, as he first needs to get up from being lazy and cuddling with you) and leave some snacks for when he’s not there.
➤ He cares a lot about your health. Even if you don’t have many tasks to complete in a day as a result of his choices, he still doesn’t want you to be completely stagnant; that’s why when you do go out, he’ll ensure you hit enough steps. The same goes for food. You’re allowed to eat some unhealthy items occasionally, so you don’t feel too controlled, but he’ll want you to eat enough and healthily.
➤ Occasionally, Jing Yuan has no choice but to delegate in other parts of Xianzhou. If that’s the case, he will attempt to bring you along if possible. If not possible, he’ll need to step in and make you stay at the cloud knights headquarters as he travels, where you’re under observation; it’s not an unusual request, considering they would think their General’s foes might be after you.
There’s also a question of what will happen to you should he become mara-stricken; and he likes to believe Yanqing will be responsible and mature enough by the time this tragedy comes.
Punishment
Jing Yuan isn’t one to punish you for just any caliber of misbehavior. He realizes that plenty of your “transgressions” aren’t pure malice; that much of it is you being emotional and stressed, and that you’ve always been an anxious little thing — a scared animal he needs to be careful with. Of course, there are some things he wouldn’t let go of just because you claim you were nervous or upset. Anything that’s not you outright rejecting him or escaping is seen as part of your nature or nerves.
➤ Physical punishments of any kind are off limits. The boundary is coming from his care; yet, it’s mostly intelligence speaking. He doesn’t believe any physical violence is a form of discipline. Extra training for a subordinate? Sure, but it's not within his rights to go any further. Violence is sometimes required when a certain enemy appears or he has to protect his nation; however, in personal relationships, he finds physical discipline to be mostly fear prompting and creating even greater resentment. He doesn’t need to raise his hand at you anyway – there are methods more effective and yet less physically painful.
➤ If he tries to help you with something and you express your need to do it alone multiple times in a row, and it’s not of utmost importance to him, he’ll give you that space (even if he might act somewhat sad about your “rejection”).
However, do it too often or demand your independence regarding something more significant, and he’ll assume you’re being difficult on purpose or even ungrateful. He’s caring for you, doing more than anyone would ever do for you, and you’re still treating him like a villain. In that case, the punishments will be still somewhat mild. Jing Yuan, despite his lazy attitude, maintains his faith in discipline. Living slowly is a means to avoid getting mara struck; therefore, it doesn’t mean he’ll have nothing done or things living in disorder.
For example, he might leave you to your own devices for a while: if you notice how certain things take significantly more time if they’re done by you and not skilled he, surely you’ll start missing his help. Codependency is nasty as well, and so you’ll feel paranoid with no one by your side.Your outings will be reduced too: you clearly don’t enjoy his presence, so how come you’d enjoy going out with him? He’ll stop cooking for you too, since you clearly don’t appreciate it. Of course, he won’t risk your health, so he’ll order some food for you. But somehow, the crane delivering it always takes too much time, and so your food gets cold before it even arrives… that’s why you’ll miss his warm meals pretty quickly. It’s a small discomfort to eat cold food, but the constant dissatisfaction would make it taste worse — even more when you’ll see him eat.
➤ Should your relationship ever deteriorate to a point where you consider leaving, the consequences will vary based on the situation's frequency. A one-time instance of fleeing will lead to merely a reprimand for jeopardizing your safety, as he attempts to justify your choice and absolve you. Twice, and he provides you with even less room.
If it occurs repeatedly or continuously, Jing Yuan will collar you. Have you seen the collars with bells that cats have on? He will give you one like that, thinking it’s adorable as well. With each step you take, the collar’s bell rings out, pushing you to the brink of madness — quite literally, as the sound torture is the intent of this punishment. Eventually, you become overstimulated, attempting your best to stay still, but failing. Grasping the bell isn’t very effective either — the small ball within the device still moves — it just muffles the noise slightly. It also contains a tracker. You'll be pleading with him to take it off quite soon, as the contraption has some crazy mechanism. He’ll take it into account if you exhibit sufficient remorse, as he’s not gaining enjoyment from punishing you; his focus is solely on discipline and order. Otherwise, he will maintain this situation until he observes indications that you are nearing a breaking point — there was a moment when you attempted to harm yourself by hitting your head, which he hopes will not happen again.
Jing Yuan may bring you to work occasionally too, concerned you’d try something when he’s away; or out of sympathy for your staying home all day, even if he had put you here. If you attempt something as immature (and rather bold of you!) as trying to make fun of him or even flirt with his subordinates in front of him to inspire jealousy, he’ll make you state a public apology. His soldiers will be invited inside the office and you’ll have to express your repentance and apologize to their General, and then to them for involving them in your mess. A touch of humiliation and embarrassment won’t hurt you.
➤ Although the typical reasons for which he usually would punish you are limited to two — escaping and being ungrateful on a bigger scale — there are few rare ones that may pop up. In case he had revealed that much to you, one of them is you ever attacking him for his history, perhaps out of spite or anger — not just a few subtle remarks but a shared ridicule would suffice.
If you mention his friends that are now only the reminiscents of his memories and somehow blame him responsible for their deaths or degradations, while he himself oftentimes feels guilty, you’ll witness a side you don’t often see. Under regular circumstances, he wouldn’t resort to violence, but he could suddenly need an outlet, and if you’re the center of his anger… being pinned to the wall and threatened with your wrists being crushed, despite your frantic apologies and stated fear, is no longer off limits.
Once he settles down, he’ll console you and try to explain himself, soothing any aches on your body, but you might not hear any sorry; though tears might appear for him as well. It will also be when he feels regret at ever being vulnerable with you, and the regress he observes in you scares him. Both of your trust is lost and fixing it won’t be easy.
Sexuality
Jing Yuan is not one for casual sex outside of relationships. He’s trained himself to control his lust, as he wanted to avoid any controversies that could arise with someone exposing his possible venereal affairs. When you enter his life, it is when practically decades of chastity go to waste, as you awaken a desire he cannot control… as a result, you make him feel young again in that department, as he was more sexually active before taking on his role as a general.
➤ Jing Yuan is very perverted. Not in a way where he’s forcing you to explore all kinds of fetishes with him; instead, it’s all about you. He finds many things that you do and surrounding you attractive. It doesn’t always result in physical arousal — sometimes, it’s just an unhealthy curiosity about the smallest of things that make you you. The first entry’s example: perhaps you have a new haircut and it exposes your neck more? That’s hot. The second: scrutinizing the way your brows furrowed a tad bit more when he served you breakfast, even if it was likely you being tired. He’ll have to make sure to add a pinch of salt less next time.
➤ Your right to not consent to sex is preserved… most of the time. Really, Jing Yuan doesn’t want to force you through the terrifying and dehumanizing struggle. He occasionally initiates something, rubs against you a little, maybe throws in some unfair insight on your body reacting, but he stops if he notices if you getting agitated and genuinely uncomfortable. Your pain is his pain; he just chooses to ignore it sometimes. You’re usually in the mood anyway; not only does he know how to manipulate your body he’s familiar with, you also crave the closeness he has chiseled into you.
As “most of the time” suggests, there could be exceptions. Things can change diametrically if your relationship has been turned into a festival of you demanding your freedom back. Dismiss him for too long, undermine his caring efforts for years in a row, keep putting yourself in a risk’s way or even keep escaping, and he’ll snap. You should have adapted and begun appreciating him ages ago, and although he’s lived for centuries and possesses more patience, he feels used — he’ll tell you all about it during the act. Of course, expecting something in return no longer makes love unconditional; yet, it’s not much about being paid back but accepted.
Once he pounces on you, you’ll think you’ve never seen him look so scary before. He has to try his hardest to give you any foreplay whatsoever; size related, but also as a basic readiness of your body. If you struggle and you definitely will, he’ll have no choice but to restrain you so he can actually prep you, as he doesn’t want you harmed. To hesitate with pushing inside when his emotions are flared up, and this move saves you from damage, is a patience and “care” very few would possess in this situation. The pain is inescapable, however — you’re tense and scared, he’s big, and he’s rough. Only after a first orgasm, will it get better. First, as there will be many for all the times he couldn’t have you — and he won’t do this again for a while.
Amidst it all, Jing Yuan still will enjoy to serve you some parody of intimacy — a kiss there, holding you chest to chest, wiping your tears, forehead against forehead as he watches you fall apart, praising you more the less you struggle. Your cries and pleads will be unheard if shushed, but even this, he does with more softness; the juxtaposition leaves you only more confused, as he’s hurting you regardless of that gentle voice. He won’t hide his pleasure either.
Then will come aftercare, where he’s massaging your body and kissing your head, with phrases that are meant to soothe but fail; double entendres, where he states why it had to happen but ultimately they blame you, even if his voice shakes with emotions.
This sort of incident will leave him subsequently guilty as his emotions are finally purged, in hindsight of how broken and scared you looked the entire time. He won't say he’s sorry, as he’d be admitting his history of care is wrong, if he blamed you for rejecting it and tried to protect its continuity; but he will go quiet for a few days after and give you space. Only when you don’t peer is when he allows regret to consume him; unfortunately, this is an ephemeral notion, as he still believes he’s justified somewhere.
➤ Sex with him is mostly gentle and intimate. It’s definite he gets voracious about you a lot, and that might lead to him speeding up his pace; but even then, he holds your hand or keeps praising you.
Taking out his anger or frustration on you physically during sex is something he steers away from (excluding the previously mentioned example), which doesn’t mean you should poke at him. He’ll get mean and not in a fun way; in other words, he’ll leave you hanging.
➤ There are moments where he tries to take advantage of your stress. You’re buzzing with negativity, you need some outlet somewhere, it’s painful to not allow yourself to be comfortable with your bodily functions in privacy — that’s a perfect occasion for him to step in and help you. Surprisingly, when he beseeches you to let him do it without anything in return, he actually means it, as he’ll take anything. Using his mouth on you is still somewhat gratifying and allow him to get closer to you, and he assists himself by grinding into the mattress.
You using your mouth on him is greatly appreciated as well; albeit, choke or gag on his big size too hard, and he’ll think he’s hurting you.
➤ His stamina isn’t inexorable, thankfully. He gets sleepy pretty easily, and a lot of the time, one round is be enough; unless it's been a while since you've engaged in this, or there's been something especially appealing about you recently. He’s onto having you maybe every other day; although, he likes to additionally make you cockwarm him when you’re being too petulant.
It’s best to get done with your nightly routine after sex immediately. He falls asleep as soon as he identified you’re clean, were smooched enough, and feel alright, meaning you’re stuck in his arms until morning. It’s a soft aftercare yet a beginning of your nightly contraption.
➤ Jing Yuan is not fond of doing anything that can harm you or gives the impression of brutishness in bed. He won’t do a tableau of things in bed; no more than manhandle you or tease you, maybe deny a little. He doesn’t fully grasp the need to be hurt or roughhoused in intimate moments — in fact, it frightens him, even if you assert it feels pleasurable. He thinks sex ought to evoke feelings of love and bliss, not being hunted.
However, if you insist on trying out something and express enough enthusiasm for the depiction of it, he might try it out with you. He might even find pleasure in it, either because you are enjoying it or due to it making you more vulnerable, which will let him take care of you more deeply afterward. But, any minor sign of discomfort, any bigger mark on your body, and he’ll cease immediately. He also thinks he’s too old for being your very dominant partner, which reminds him of military or parental discipline rather than making love. He would have seen the appeal of it as a younger man only.
Cradling you in his arms and rocking into you slowly, while you chant his name softly, feels more organic; although, tease him too much, and he might make an exception in showing you leniency.
Final words
Jing Yuan has ample ability to exploit your weaknesses and create codependency; no matter how you resist, it’s sufficient to make you feel overwhelmed and… anxious. Ultimately, even you will sense that he could be correct regarding your safety; or being solitary and without direction will become scarily alien for you.
Regardless of past dreams where you envisioned someone rescuing you and transforming your circumstances, their realization slowly leads to your downfall. All is incredibly sweet, yet too much sugar will decay teeth as well.
Submitting to your fate wouldn't be favorable, nor would be escaping it, since you've become unable to live for your own sake. What frightens you the most is the sense that he is somewhat correct – he simply exploits your biggest insecurities to his benefit. You were supposed to find a partner who supports you in standing up back on your feet, but it’s too late – now you can only focus on learning gratitude.

Gesture: A Slim Guide - Five Fun Facts
To celebrate the publication of Gesture: A Slim Guide I've selected five facts from/about the book to share:
1. The cover is a deepcut reference to my first gesture research project
Gawne & Kelly (2014) is actually work from my honours project in 2007 - it took us a while to write it up for publication. In that experiment, participants watched a short video narrative and marked everything they thought was a 'gesture' without being given a definition. On the whole, people agree at a minimum level with Gesture Studies researchers about what a gesture is, but tend to include far more in their definition. The cover illustration from Lucy Maddox captures some of the key gestures from that video. Because we had no budget, I filmed the video of myself narrating the story.
2. Learning a signed language will affect the way you gesture in spoken language
Research on learners of ASL shows that learning a signed language affects the gestures of people who have spent their whole life speaking English. Gesture and signed languages are two very different uses of the same modality, but they influence each other in interesting ways.
3. You can make people imagine emphasis differently by changing the placement of emphatic gestures
Hans Rutger Bosker and David Peeters created experimental video clips that you can see here. They took inspiration for their experimental work from the classic McGurk effect in phonetics, where watching a mouth closing like a /g/ while a /b/ sound is played will make the viewer hear a /d/.
4. Dolphins and seals demonstrate the capacity to follow human pointing gestures
While there is evidence that many domestic animals can follow human pointing gestures, this is the only documented evidence to date that shows this skill in wild animals that aren't primates.
5. People still gesture even if their audience can't see them, but the way they gesture changes
Speech and gesture are so closely linked up that we can't help but gesture, even if our audience can't see us. Experiments show that changing the audience conditions changes how large or frequent gestures are, but nothing stops us gesturing completely.

Book overview
The gestures that we use when we speak are an important, if often over-looked, part of how we communicate. This book provides a friendly, fast-paced introduction to the field of Gesture Studies. Gestures are those communicative actions made with the human body that accompany spoken or signed language. Paying attention to gesture means paying attention to the fuller context in which humans communicate. Gesture is absolute, in that every human community that has language also has gestures as part of that language. But gesture is also relative, in that it is far more heavily context dependent than other elements of communication. This book provides a broad introduction to current understandings of the nature and function of gesture as a feature of communication. This Slim Guide covers the ways gesture works alongside speech and the different categories of gesture. The way these categories are used varies across cultures and languages, and even across specific interactions. We acquire gesture as part of language, and it is deeply entwined with language in the brain. Gesture has an important role in the origin of language, and in shaping the future of human communication. The study of gesture makes a crucial interdisciplinary contribution to our understanding of human communication. This Slim Guide provides an introduction to Gesture Studies for readers of all backgrounds.

Youre grumbling under your breath when you’re about to cross the threshold to your apartment because, as if the rest of your day hadn’t been annoying enough, your stupid key decides to give you extra trouble—as of late, it’s not working unless you jam it in the lock at a very specific angle and jiggle violently until just before you’re sure the knob will fall off, all whilst cursing your landlord’s neglect of the crummy old building like some enchantment or spell that ties the whole rage-inducing, access-granting ritual together.
Couldn’t your good-for-nothing roommate hear you struggling with it?
“Hey, sorry,” he chirps too brightly for the evening hour, floating out of his room as you shut the door behind you with a sigh—ever the mind reader. You forego your eye-roll this time; you’re convinced that one of these days they’ll get stuck in your skull what with how much you do it. You hear Dazai sauntering toward you as you’re shrugging your jacket off, hanging it up, tossing your bag on the table. “Was busy.”
You’re ready to turn and scowl at him, but when you face him, he’s waggling the little pipe in your face—the green one with blue flecks in the glass, undoubtedly what he was busy with while you broke into your own home—and you won’t admit that you already feel your irritation start to melt away when it slides from his fingertips to yours. You clutch it, latch onto the mouthpiece, and watch as the brunette flicks the flame out and lights you up.
Tumblr media
You exhale gratefully, take one more pull, and hand the glowing bowl back for him to catch the remainder of before he lights it again. “Thank you," you croak before short cough leaves you. “Was real close to bitching you out for not leaving the door unlocked.”
Dazai blows his smoke directly back in your face with a small grin. “Redeemed by my weed once again.”
You chuckle and wave it away, making a point of sliding by him and toward your room to change. You need to unwind a second before dealing with him for the rest of the night. “‘S’all that ever redeems you. Crack a window, will ya?”
It’s really not a bad arrangement to have a live-in pot dealer—that’s basically what Dazai is and has been as long as you’ve roomed with him. Sure, he's also a pain in your ass; the man can hardly cook, you had to show him how to use the washing machine in the common area when you first moved in, and only a bit ago, after almost half a year of sharing a living space, have you convinced him to keep his mess of discarded socks and food packaging contained within his bedroom. It took a lot of harsh reprimanding about how you're not his parent and he's not your teenage son for you to realize it'd be a little of his own medicine to get him to start taking you seriously. Leaving your empty takeout box on the coffee table right where he liked to eat his, tossing your sweatshirt over his spot on the couch and refusing to move it for days—he took the message, albeit smugly, after that, and hasn't given you trouble since.
Even despite being a pain in the ass, though, especially now that he at least cleans up after himself, you have to admit you don't hate his presence in your home and in your life. You chalk it up to how infuriatingly charming he can be—you know he's a detective, and he's certainly got talents for sniffing out your emotions, solving your day-to-day problems, and smooth-talking, but all of that falls under being nosy and weird when he tries to guilt you into praising him for it. If he was any less annoying, you'd maybe even admit to yourself that he's kind of attractive; only physically, of course, which you've known since the day you met him, but any other way he might be—retaining a heavy air of mystery in spite of how bubbly he is, occasionally inviting you out drinking (mostly so you can drag him home once he overdoes it), smoking you up without asking for money—is just so overshadowed by what a fucking weirdo he is. You can’t separate it.
He certainly keeps you on your toes.
That’s really the worst thing about him. You know you’ll exit your room to grab your leftovers from the fridge and he’ll be pestering you to watch some movie with him—probably one of his cringy rom-coms (the fact that he watches and unironically enjoys them serving only marginally to make him a little more of an interesting character) during which he'll sling his feet across your lap or curl up into you so he can pinch your side once or twice just for your reaction, leaving you red in the face and mildly irritated while he giggles condescendingly at you. But as you always do, you think as you sigh and lift the hem of your sweater to curl it over and off, you’ll concede.
Your head’s caught in your sleep shirt when you hear your door creak open.
“Um, privacy?” you half-yelp—something you’re still figuring your way around with him. You jump out of line of the door as you poke your head through the neckline to shoot him that glare you saved from moments earlier.
Dazai just snickers, eyes wide and innocent. You're naked from the waist down. “Could’ve locked it.”
“As if that would stop you,” you snap back, stretching the hem over your thighs and ass as you skitter awkwardly back over to the edge of your bed where a pair of comfy shorts lay. “Get out!”
“Will you hurry up and put your pants on? I got My Big Fat Greek Wedding locked and loaded.”
“Yes, yes, just get out.”
He’s still snickering when he disappears behind the door. He doesn’t shut it all the way, and you mutter freak beneath your breath, secretly hoping he hears you.
You tug your shorts on and meander back out as the intro rolls, set on your leftover homemade tonkatsu; as you settle cross-legged with your plate on the couch, Dazai reaches over and plucks a piece of cabbage off it.
You side eye him as you chew. He’s already occupying himself with packing another bowl—he must've finished the first one himself. You'd half-expect him to reach for one of the prerolls he keeps in the coffee table drawer so as not to have to go to the trouble again, but he does.
“You eat yet?” you ask carefully.
He shakes his head as he uses the butt of the lighter to press it down. Of course not. Even weed doesn’t make him eat. You’ve expressed concern over his eating habits before, but he always dismisses you with a hum and that smug smile.
You make a point of tearing the remainder of your cutlet in half with your utensils. When he reaches out to pass you the pipe, you reach back, chopsticks pinching a hefty piece of pork.
Dazai raises his eyebrows at you.
You raise yours in reply, as if to say, take it, or I’m not smoking anymore with you.
So he does, reluctance veiled thinly by amusement. You know him well enough by now; or, you think you do, at least. As he chews, he balances the chopsticks back on your plate and turns to you with the lighter, curling his own legs beneath himself.
Only satisfied when he swallows, you set your plate aside, face him, and press the pipe to your lips again, looking to him. To his pretty brown eyes that search you owlishly, that you swear sparkle with a little more vigor after even the smallest bit of sustenance enters his system. Maybe you should just leave him to starve, but then where would you get your weed? You’re an idiot, you’d say if you weren’t waiting on his flame.
But before he can light it for you, he pulls the lighter away, and you chase it with a soft hey—he’s grinning at you again, like a devil, like always.
“You always do that, you know?” he asks.
“Do what?” you mumble impatiently against the piece.
He gives in and dips the flame down into the bowl; you inhale deep, flower crackling softly as you do, and he only answers when the smoke’s halfway down your throat.
“Look up at me all cute like that every time I light it for you.” Those brown eyes bore into yours and you become aware all too quick of the fact that you do—you do indeed peer up at him through your lashes; your eyes water as smoke burns your throat and you blink away, trying not to cough out your hit at how he’s gazing at you, but he doesn’t stop there.
He would never stop there.
“Makes me think bad things.”
So you cough out your hit anyway.
“Oh, yeah?” you ask, choked, face red from more than just the sting of the weed. You busy yourself with pulling another hit while it’s still lit.
“Mhm,” he agrees. “Lots of ‘em.”
Your head swims now—you’ve built up a decent tolerance from living with him, but forgetting to breathe at his words and zeroing the huge puff you take next surely doesn’t help. You cough again, and nothing leaves your lungs this time as you debate whether to take his challenge.
Another thing you’ve learned about Dazai—he loves to fluster people. If living with him wasn't enough proof, you’ve seen him do it millions of times to pretty bartenders, or on the off-chance his partner from work joins you drinking; off-chance, truly, because Kunikida already has to put up with Dazai all day at the office, and anything more than what’s required of him might be better off called torture rather than fun. And beyond loving it, Dazai demonstrates it like a long-honed skill—the exploitation of people’s humiliation, the monopolization on people’s most sensitive spots. He had previous work in it, he’s said, but you can’t imagine what job could possibly entail all that. You think he just doesn’t know when to shut his mouth—no, he’s smart enough to know when to; he just doesn’t like to. He’s what most people would refer to as an asshole.
And yet, you find yourself torn between feeling disgusted and entertained by him all the same. Although you often find yourself the victim of his little mind games, you’re not above jabbing back at him. What does that make you, you wonder? The question briefly crosses your mind, but you shake it off as, in your buzz, you swat away the bait; decidedly, you’d rather watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding in peace, finish your tonkatsu, and then go to bed tonight.
“You’re gross.” The scoff you let out sounds more like a chuckle.
Dazai tilts his head, flicking the lighter for you again; he sparks the bowl as he watches you, as if in exceptional contemplation, and you make a point not to do it again—you inhale and gaze straight down at the flame.
“You don’t wanna hear what it makes me think about?” he asks cutely, unwilling to let you get away just yet.
You ignore the slight flush undoubtedly on your own face as you slip the bowl back to him; doubly so, you try not to watch the way his lips wrap around the mouthpiece.
But right now, you can’t seem to help that your bleary-eyed attention is on him. Just as he exhales, you remember you haven’t replied.
You’re not quick enough. He doesn’t take your silence as an invitation; it’s an opportunity. You see it in his smirk, just a second too late.
“Makes me think about how pretty you’d be looking up at me like that from your knees.”
He’s good at his games—he invents them, after all. But you’d be damned if he thought you wouldn’t shut him down when you weren’t in the mood.
“Yeah, no, don’t particularly wanna hear about it, thanks.”
This might be a new low, even for him, you think. Who the fuck just says shit like that?
When you think about it a second longer, though, he really hasn’t brought anyone home to fuck obnoxiously (a boundary you were quick to set with him) in at least a couple weeks, so maybe he’s just pent up. Either way, his comment makes you wrinkle your nose, furrow your brow—hopefully negating the pink inevitably tinting your cheeks. Fucking weirdo.
“N’ now you’re blushing all cute, too,” he observes; you scoff again, more pointedly this time. “Thinkin’ about it?”
As if, you want to say, but the words get stuck against the roof of your dry mouth, so you conjure up some of your spit, swallow it down, and hope he doesn’t notice—but it’s Dazai; he will—that your high's settling onto your shoulders swiftly. He’s pointing the bowl back at you, and as you grab it robotically, you’re still trying to speak—a sure sign you should both shut up and keep your places on opposite ends of the couch and watch the movie and finish the tonkatsu, but instead you just balk. No matter what you do, you play right into his hands—that’s how it happens all too often, and you certainly won’t learn now or anytime when his weed’s coursing up to your brain and back down to your thumping heart. Dazai lights your next hit for you, laughing like it’s all some big joke, and maybe it is—maybe you’ll blow your smoke in his face this time and pick up your tonkatsu and shut up and just watch the damn movie.
As if you’d ever be so lucky with his antics.
You’re shaking your head in near-awe when you pass it back to him once more.
“I mean, we basically kiss through this thing all the time,” he says like it’s relevant, waving the pipe about. “I don’t think it’d be so weird if we fucked. Or if you sucked me off, at least.”
“It—it would totally be weird, Osamu,” and when you speak his name so lightly, blinking at trying to muster up your own laughter as a defense mechanism, his sight flickers up to yours. “That doesn’t even—I’m not sucking your dick.”
“Shame,” he purrs. “‘Cause I know how pretty you’d look. Your lips all wet and pouted against my t—”
“Oh, my god, shut up.” Now you laugh, out of pure disbelief at how far he’s taking it. He pokes at the tail end of what’s left in the bowl and chuckles, too, seemingly ready to let it go now that he has you laughing. "You're horrible."
The more you let him talk about it, the more you entertain him, maybe you can let it peter out.
“What about me? Do I look pretty when I do it?” he asks, batting his lashes as he pulls another hit off the pipe.
“Sure, yeah, whatever,” you let your laughter idle as he doesn't tear his gaze away from you. He looks pretty. Whatever. You cross your arms as you feel the familiar tingle of your high behind your eyes.
“Would I look pretty on my knees?” he prods.
You could slap him—if nothing else, just to make his face burn half as much as you know yours is. When he sets the bowl and lighter aside and goes back to observing you, eyes low-lidded and red, chin rested on his hands, propped up by his elbows on his crossed legs, you have half a mind to shrink away from him—but you keep cool, even if the way you're at eye level with his searing stare feels a little too intimate.
You mirror his position. “Hmm, I don't know.” You steal his thoughtful tilt, too, and tack on, “Maybe if you were begging like a little bitch.”
You're prepared for him to laugh tauntingly again and then let this die where it stands because he got a reaction out of you, right? That’s always what he’s looking for, so it’s about time he goes back to his corner of the couch where you'll bully him into a few more bites of tonkatsu.
But he stays locked onto you, quietly.
And then he's shifting forward off the couch and down to the ground.
“Osamu—”
“Uh-uh,” he chides you softly, crawling to situate himself directly in front of your figure. Looking up at you all cute. “I’m gonna be the one begging, remember?”
Your disbelief swirls with refusal as he paws at the hem of your shorts as if to say, turn, please, and fuck—what can you do other than turn red as a rose as he grabs your ankles, unfurls your legs, and props his chin on the cushion between your thighs? You feel alarmingly higher, blearier when his fingers creep up beneath the fabric, slowly, looking at you as if for reassurance.
“We're not—you can quit fooling around, seriously.” You want to laugh again but it comes out deadpan, strict; you feel heavier with each landing of his fingertips against your skin, and he just keeps looking up at you. Cute. Pretty. Taking it too far.
“I want to,” he mumbles, retracting his hands only for them to find your hips, your waistband. “Come on. ‘Wanted you so bad for so long. I know you want me, too,” he speaks your name slyly, quietly, and it prompts your breath to quicken a little; he traces circles into your hipbones with his thumbs, toys with the elastic at your waist, snapping it softly, and you squirm. “Please?”
For so long? you think. How long?
“I—I'm not high enough for this, Osamu,” you try to joke, but he just twists around to the coffee table drawer for one of those prerolls and his lighter.
“I can get you higher,” he offers—tone still much too innocent, motives still haphazardly veiled by what a big jokester he is, and he sticks the joint between his lips and lights it.
Before you can coherently protest, he rises, supporting himself on your thigh with one hand and removing the joint from his mouth full of smoke; when he leans into you, you catch his wrist to keep him from ashing on the back of the couch, grab his face in a half-attempt to stop him in his tracks—but ultimately, when his mouth meets yours, you open for him.
The plume of smoke he shotguns into your mouth is thick; you breathe it in. His palm like a brand against your thigh.
And he doesn’t stop.
“Osamu,” you whine against his lips, still mushing his face away and hating how your dry throat roughens your voice. He just kisses you, kisses you, and your fingers find the pulse point in his wrist—he’s a decent kisser, you think, at the very least. You have half a mind to let your fingers slide to the mess of brown hair beyond the apples of his sharp cheekbones, and—
You backtrack in your mind. You’re actually probably too high for this.
You have to detest the way it feels so heavenly when he squeezes the fat of your thigh, dodges your lips, and works steadily in a line from the corner of your mouth to your jaw, all tongue and teeth in his pursuit. You have to detest it. Fucking weirdo, you repeat in your mind. The joint burns between his fingers. You snatch it from his grasp and pull your head back, raising your feet to kick him weakly in the abdomen, and he relents—your toes feel asleep when they hit the carpet again, and you hoard the joint between your fuzzy fingers when he reaches for it back.
“Osamu,” you say again, stern, eyes wide. The weed. You're high. You're both high, and this is weird. He’s just your weirdo roommate and you got home wanting to end your stressful day without complicating anything else in your life today.
So why, when he looks at you like you’re a caged animal that’s just as afraid of him and he is of you and works the joint from your fingers to take another drag, do you let him cup your face and exhale more smoke down your throat?
Why do you chase his lips when he blissfully, needily, sinks to his knees once again and starts to traverse beneath your shorts?
With the right focus of mind, like staring at your hand when you’re spinning and convincing yourself that the world around you is actually moving and you’re staying still, you can almost pretend he’s a stranger—some sexy, enchanting stranger that you met on the train home after your shit day, meant to relate to you with docile nods and hums as you air your grievances about work or school or whatever, meant to kiss it off you like it’s just a little bit of dirt.
Getting out of your shorts is like getting out of second skin. You're taking another hit, unwise or not, because it's back in your hand and you don't know what else to do; you watch him in your haze with a mix of anticipation and distrust, but right now, anticipation is winning by a small margin. You’re high, you tell yourself—twitching already, in that way that has nothing to do with desire but rather just means you've smoked a little too much too quickly, and the idea that Dazai might still fake you out and send you to bed feeling half-hot and bothered, half-violated, with no pants on and a near-empty stomach bobs around in your inhibited brain—again, you expect him to laugh, say you’re fried, clap you on the shoulder and tell you it's a joke but he doesn’t, he cranes for a hit from the joint and you hold it to his lips shakily and he touches you on the exhale, the pads of two of his fingers nestling carefully between your folds over your underwear and when he brushes your clit it’s—
Fuck, it’s electric.
“Osamu, stop,” you say, hoarse and abrupt, grabbing his wrist. "I'm—"
“What?” he asks, teasing lilt to his tone. Beneath your hand his thumb comes up to replace his fingers, to loop circles around you, and you're shuddering, back bowing, and he's grinning at you wickedly.
“I—I'm high,” you admit, voice feeling thick, soupy as it leaves your throat.
“So? Me too.” He blinks at you, slow like a cat, in a way that you're pretty sure he's still mocking the way you apparently always flutter your gaze at him when he lights you up. “‘S the best way to do it.”
“Yeah, but—”
He doesn't interrupt you with but what?
And yet, you still don't finish your sentence.
You glance down to where he’s rubbing you gently, where you hold him at bay—where you could yank his arm and twist it uncomfortably if you really did want him to stop but the longer he circles over the fabric that’s growing increasingly, alarmingly wetter, the more you melt away from yourself and you think, fuck, he really is gorgeous as he’s resting his cheek against the inside of your thigh.
“Scoot forward f’me, please?” he almost whines; his voice changes, stricter when he says, “And stop letting that burn. Smoke it.”
And you comply, shuffling your hips forward and placing the filter between your teeth.
Dazai looks up at you. All cute. Heavy-lidded, red-eyed. Hungry.
And you look back, apprehension sparking but then fading with each drove of smoke you inhale. Heavy-lidded, red-eyed. All cute.
“Let me taste you, please,” he almost whispers. You almost find yourself a little endeared by his pointed pleases.
“This is fucking absurd,” you croak, but your resolve is leaving you. He’s a little blurry. “You’re such a sicko.”
His smile widens against the word. Sicko. Almost like he’s pleased to hear it leave your mouth. “Surprised it took you this long to figure out, baby.”
His touch is impatient and restless and crawling as your underwear goes, too—and you don’t appreciate how good it felt when his thumb was on your clit until it’s back again and you’re slipping the joint out of your mouth to let you jaw fall slack; you tangle a hand up in that messy hair that is much softer than you could’ve imagined and all but yank him back toward your cunt.
“Please,” you echo him, finally. “It felt so good—do it again.”
“That’s it, baby,” he encourages you in your whimpering, fingers prodding at your hole and tongue landing a feather-light lick to your wetness. “I know you want it.”
The sounds are lewd. Disgusting, really—fitting for how he’s acting. Dazai swirls his tongue in circles around your clit as he works his middle and ring fingers into you; cracked gasps leave you at the intrusion, and you can’t keep your eyes open when he curls them upward ever so slightly as he makes out with your clit. If you were sober you’d, of course, be embarrassed at how you’re already gushing for him, but all your mushy brain can think about right now is the sparks bolting to your otherwise-numb fingers and toes with each suction of his pretty pink lips against you—isn’t this wrong? Shouldn’t you feel weird? Yeah, probably—but you’re forgetting why, and you’re forgetting to care.
He hums against you and it sends a shockwave throughout your already-vibrating body; the moan you release into the air is like song, even to yourself. Is he really good at this, you wonder, or is it the weed?
Oh right, the weed. The weed, the weed, the weed.
You pull his mouth off you, almost dropping the joint that’s not much of a joint anymore—only the filter remains.
“I don’t think this is—”
Fuck, you keep going back and forth. You keep breaching the surface just for him to tug you beneath the water again and convince you the drowning feels nice. And it does, for a few seconds—until it starts burning your lungs to a crisp again, at which point you tear away from him kick up, and in the moments you spend sucking in air you don’t get how he stays beneath for so long, like it’s nothing, how he doesn’t stop—he doesn’t stop, his fingers still curling inside of you, and you’re going under again to the sound of his voice.
You feel suffocated. More delirious by the second. It’s nice.
“You already told me it feels good,” he mumbles against you, lapping at you, and you’re letting up on his hair, letting him become a weight again where you should float.
And the lack of oxygen must be getting to your brain because, even though you still don’t think you want to drown, you cease your kicking. For the last time.
“Osamu,” you cry. It sounds like a moan. It might be.
“I know, I’m such a sicko.” There’s no remorse in his words; there can’t be, not when he’s still curling up into your g-spot in just the way that makes you croon his name again—undoubtedly a moan this time—but when he comes into focus again, he looks so apologetic. “You can say it again, baby. It’s okay.”
“S—sicko,” you mutter disapprovingly, but rolling your hips all the same.
He smiles. Soft, kind, apologetic.
You’re scared to move. You know if you do, you’ll both be able to see the wet stain collecting beneath you on the cushion. You feel it.
So you barrage him with more.
“You—you’re a fucking pervert. You’re disgusting.” You feel wetness on your face, too. You deduce that it’s from how perfect his fingers feel inside you, goading that warm slick out of you and into his palm, onto the couch; regardless, you don't stop berating him, your tone harshly contrasting your wriggling hips. “You disgust me.”
“I think you like it.” He presses up, hard, and you gush, gasping. A short, clear spurt narrowly misses his face; he leans back down to lick it off, off the cushion, off your thighs, off your crying cunt. “I think you like how nasty I am.”
“Disgusting,” you whisper. “Disgusting. You're disgusting.” It’s a little chant you hold onto as he rises again to kiss you, messily—a means to replace his lips with his wet fingers, shoving them past your lips and against your tongue where you lap at them instinctually, like you’ve been waiting for it. It’s so wrong to be tasting yourself on his fingers, but your eyes roll back anyway, just to lurch forward as his hand retracts and you find him grinning once more as he slips his sweatpants and boxers down in one swipe. “You’re disgusting.”
“You’re disgusting,” Dazai mocks, giggling. “You just tasted how fucking wet you are.”
“Osamu,” you whine as he kicks his garments aside; you begin to draw your feet up, your knees to your chin, but his hands, stronger than you anticipate, pry you open and flip you to your back and he grins, biting into his bottom lip all the while. Why, you wonder, when the dim living room light glints off his teeth as he situates himself between your legs and leans down to cage you in between his arms, do your hips hitch toward his? Why are you so adamant to deny him?
“You gonna say it again? C’mon, I love hearing my name,” he breathes, ducking down to lick across your jawline. “But I love when you call me those words. Say it again. Tell me how nasty I am.”
“You’re the worst,” you groan, but it sounds comical, even to your own ears, because you’re scratching at his shoulders in a way that draws him closer to you rather than further away.
“More, baby,” Dazai hums into your neck, reaching down to swirl his tip against your wetness. When you feel him, you jump.
It feels good. It feels even better than his thumb and you don’t know if you’re still on your way up but you feel higher and higher by the second and the instinct to push him off is slipping further beyond your grasp. When he pulls back to watch your mouth fall open as he rubs himself into you, you almost let the word pretty slip past your lips—he looks so pretty, tongue flicking, eyes dark, and you catch yourself with your lower lip between your teeth, reflecting the desperation he conceals in everything but his words.
Pretty isn’t what he wants right now, though—and suddenly you feel compelled to give him what he wants, if only it means he’ll keep touching you like this.
“S’fucking nasty—degenerate fucking freak—” you eek out; you don’t know much longer you can tiptoe the line between repulsion and sheer need, but you’re tilting further and further with each circle of his dick and you can tell he’s getting off on the way you’re lurching into him now, running toward his touch instead of away from it.
You think you need him to fuck you, now, or you’ll cry.
“Osamu, please,” you continue, sounding on the verge of tears now—where you should’ve been before, when you genuinely wanted him off you, yes. You wanted him off of you before. Didn’t you? There was a time, a mere few minutes ago, when his fingers in your skin and his animalistic gaze were revolting. Right?
“What’re you beggin’ me for?” Dazai asks like he doesn’t know. He knows. He knows what you don’t want to admit to yourself and he’s going to dangle it over your head, he’s going to rub it in your face, he’s going to make you answer through your hazy high that he never should’ve come onto you through to begin with, and you’re going to give him what he wants—you always give him what he wants, even if you don’t mean to, even if you don’t want to, but now you think you want to. You want to, because it feels so good, and he’s slowing down, he’s stopping and when he takes his hand away to swipe his thumb across your chin, pull your lip from between your teeth and work your mouth open with his fingers again, the loss almost hurts. You want it. You want to.
It’s going to hurt even more to say it, but you want it. And before you can even get it out, before the words even hit what little air is between your lips and his, Dazai looks thrilled at what you say next.
“Please, fuck me,” you whisper.
“Well, since you’re asking so nicely—” He reaches back down, but the smugness doesn’t waver; his tip catches on your entrance—emitting a lewd squelch that should make you cringe but instead prompts your lip to fly between your teeth again—and you hook your tingling feet behind his back, legs astride his waist as you're pushing his bangs from his face all in one motion. “I guess I’ll fuck you, pretty baby.”
"Yes," the dreaded word falls from your lips when he finally works his way into you, past that tight ring of muscle, to nestle snugly inside you until the head of his cock kisses your cervix.
The noise you draw from him—something between a sigh and a moan—is heavenly. His nose nuzzles the trail he licked across your jaw before and you find your hands linked behind his neck, urging him down, onto you, into you—and when he recoils his hips to thrust back in again, quick and short, you keen against him, pathetically, in a way your past self—the one from four or five touches ago—would hate you for.
You should hate how gross this is. How gross he is for this.
But you don't, and you're not going to torture yourself with asking why anymore.
The friction inside you doesn't feel comparable to anything; for the first time in a second, you feel grateful for the weed pulsing through you. You let your eyes roll back and flutter shut without consequence.
Dazai moves against you like water. Water you're content to drown in this time; his touch doesn't crawl anymore as much as it seems to soothe and as he picks up his pace, brings a hand to your cheek to wake you back up, pull you back above the surface.
"You sound s'fuckin cute," he sighs; those eyes, predatory before, are now just brown and melty, honey-colored backgrounded with red fog, not so searching as much as they seem attentive, not making you feel so uncomfortably vulnerable as they do softly seen. He thinks you sound cute. You giggle through the unrivaled pleasure, giggling through your own moans which hit your ears and do sound cute—sound especially cute woven through his.
"Y'sound... so," you start, "so fucking—unh, Osamu, don't stop!"
He chuckles now, low and breathy, and you push his hair back from his face again; his eyes roll back when you do it, and you just do it over, over, over, drawing clipped groans out of him, stealing the words from his throat as he steals yours and you tug, you tug on his hair and the moan he lets out, broken between thrusts, is so raw and laced with need that you moan in reply, clenching around him because, fuck, he sounds so cute, too. "Wanted this for so long, baby. Pussy feels s—so much fuckin' better than I could've imagined."
"How long?" you finally poke back—you want to know. You want to know how long he's been holed up in the mess of his room, jerking off to the thought of his cute little roommate finally falling between his fingers—you want to know how bad he's wanted this, and if getting you high out of your mind just to get it was worth it. You focus your voice to ask him. "How long you wanted this, 'Samu?"
"So long—since—" he gasps, fucking into you harder, faster, deeper; you tug his hair again, exposing his neck, and yank him down to sink your teeth into his neck. You need the reprieve as he starts hammering against the deepest parts of you, eliciting wet smack! after smack! from between your writhing bodies. You jostle beneath him as he finds his breath; "Since I fuckin' met you. Always wanted you."
"Yeah?" You mean it to be a teasing little rhetorical question but it comes out more like encouragement amidst the bliss radiating from your cunt throughout your whole body, but you find it in you to continue— "You been—you been thinkin' of me under you like this? Like the sicko you are?"
Unbelievably faster and harder. You choke on a scream; Dazai's grunting above you, and it hits you that those names really do spur him on. You're far from offending him—you're bringing him closer and closer to filling you up with each and every insult and jab you throw his way and if you were any less cockdrunk you'd be hurling even more barbs at him about how that makes him so much worse, so much more gross but it just spurs you on, too, right now—and you realize, when he looks at you with those fucking eyes again how bad you want him, how bad you've wanted him, too, for so long; you couldn't—wouldn't admit it because he's just your weirdo roommate but really, maybe that's what you love about him. You certainly love the way he makes your toes curl when he reaches down to play with your clit again. You cry out against him.
"Osamu, fuck!"
"Say it again," he begs you, pretty brown eyes glassy as they fall shut, as the tip of his nose touches yours. "Say it again, please, baby."
You know what he wants.
"F—fucking pervert," you huff, doing everything you can to hold onto the rope that's uncoiling rapidly inside you, coming further and further undone with each slam of his hips into your ass. "Ah—you're disgusting. Disgusting."
You fall back on your mantra and it has his thumb moving faster, harder, just like his thrusts, just like his voice, even if it sounds unconvincing through the shockwaves of pleasure; you feel it, the unraveling, it's washing up on you so quickly, so much quicker than it should be at the hands of your weirdo roommate.
"Don't stop," he pleads like he's not the one fucking you to orgasm; you see white, you feel as light as air—god, has cumming always felt like this? Shouldn't you hate it? Shouldn't you hate that it might never feel like this again?
You do, you do—you hate weed and you hate sex and you hate your weirdo roommate Osamu Dazai for coaxing the most mind-blowing climax you've ever felt out of you, but you don't hate any of those things, not really; you hate that it's never felt like this before, and that it can again if only you can push your pride down for a few more moments and call him a—
"Freak—gonna—gonna cum in me?" you goad, breathless, lucky for speech as he fucks you through the otherworldly high, as you clamp down on him and screw your eyes shut until you can keep going. "Gonna fill me up like the nasty motherfucker you are?"
"Ngh—yeah, yeah, yeah...!"
Dazai, in all his depraved beauty, fucks his fat load into you mercilessly; you twitch, shake beneath him, driving strained sobs from his chest and talking him through with soft yeahs, want y'r cum, filthy fucking sicko freak, you disgust me. He loves it. He falls apart, and you tug on his hair once more as he slows, as he spills out of you, as he looks at you with so much adoration in his eyes.
"You—" Dazai's breathless, heaving. "You're amazing."
You giggle again, wiggling a bit and trapping him further close to you, fingers in the hair at the base of his neck. Soft. You don't feel any less high; just blissed out. "You're cute."
"Knew you thought so," he sighs, lopsided smile coming back; you don't know where in the pleasure he'd lost it, but its return has you tilting your chin up to kiss him once more. Soft. Gentle, sweet, no tongue; not gross, not hungry, just sweet. Satisfied.
"But you're still weird," you tease against his lips. Sly.
When Dazai pulls back, the hunger in those eyes sparks again.
"Want me to show you how weird I can get?" he threatens.
"I dare you," you taunt back.
And he grins, fully and wickedly, once more; you can count on it. He'll show you, alright.

It happened too fast, too slow, exactly as it should’ve. That day—you saw past the lie, past the face, past the teeth bared in something not quite a smile.
And today, they’re yours. Almost. A heartbeat away from fiancé, a lifetime away from certainty. It took time. God, it took time.
You wore the ring that day, but not for love, not for promises, not even for the pleasure of peeling back the layers of REDACTED like rotting wallpaper. That’s a story for another day, sweetheart. For now—
You love REDACTED more than Ren, more than the mask they made to hold the world at arm’s length. You love the rot beneath.
Realistically? A few years. Maybe forever. Maybe never. Ren’s been rewriting himself since before he even knew how to spell his own name, shaving down the edges of REDACTED into something soft, something pliable, something digestible. Someone lovable.
Because Ren, as he is, isn’t enough. Can’t be. He learned that young, learned it deep, learned it so well it’s a reflex now, a gut reaction. A knee-jerk flinch into being whatever you want, whatever keeps you looking at him. But REDACTED—ah. They don’t care. They don’t need to. They know the truth, and the truth is cruel:
You like a lot of things. You like a lot of people. But you’ll never like him enough. Not really. Not the way he wants. And he’s made peace with that.
Ren is Haruko, and Haruko is sweet. Haruko stumbles over words and tries too hard. Haruko is a puppet carved from borrowed smiles and practiced stutters. But REDACTED—RED is sharp, cruel, jagged in a way no one wants to hold. Cold, empty, tired in the bones. If he ever learned love, it was an imitation, an echo—flat, distant, never quite right.
The blushing? Real. The sweating? Also real. The stammering, the nerves, the pathetic little slip-ups? All him, honest and raw, because fuck, he never expected to have this. Angel wasn’t supposed to see him. Ren was supposed to be background noise, an afterthought, a whisper of a person that never solidified. But fate had different plans, and now he’s in too deep.
And this? This is life now. A life built on strings and careful calculations, on the soft lie of Haruko and the hard truth of REDACTED bleeding through the cracks. And you—you don’t know if it’s guilt that keeps you here. If it’s sympathy, or pity, or something worse. You don’t know if he even wants saving.
He’s shit in the saddest way possible. But he doesn’t care. Never has. Never will.
It’s all just—ah.
You’ve accepted REDACTED now, right? Last time, they held you through it—your own personal shield against every jump scare, every flicker of something too fast, too wrong in the dark. You screamed, clung to them like a lifeline, like a fucking lifeblood, fingers digging in, breath caught, and they—cool as ever—just patted your head. Like you were some trembling stray curled up in their lap.
Now? You’re a pro. A veteran. An unshakable force of—no, fuck that, you’re still scared. Still clutching them like a goddamn koala, half-buried in their chest, gripping the fabric of their hoodie like it might save your soul. And they let you. One hand still in your hair, absentminded, rhythmically soothing, the other loose on your thigh like they aren’t watching people get gutted on screen.
Both of your rings—the rings, the childhood ones—sit snug around your fingers. Like wedding bands. Like something binding. Like something permanent. Ah. Cute.
"Scary f’ ya?" REDACTED barely glances at the screen, more interested in the way you’ve tensed up, knuckles white against the blanket. "Want me t’change it?"
"Shut the fuck up." You don’t even look at them, eyes locked on the too-dark hallway stretching across the screen, waiting for something—anything—to lunge. Your fingers tighten in their sleeve like you’re bracing for impact.
They huff a quiet laugh, all amusement, all smug, before shifting. Heavy. Comfortable. Head dropping onto your lap like they belong there. "Suit yourself."
Their warmth sinks into you, grounding. Distracting. You don’t relax, not completely, but you loosen just enough to card your fingers through their hair. They hum, pleased, tapping lazy fingers against your thigh.
You flinch at a sudden jump scare.
They don’t even pretend not to notice.
They hum again, but this time, it’s different—deeper, slower, something deliberate curling at the edges of their voice. The kind of sound that sends a shiver through you, pooling low in your stomach. Their fingers, lazy against your thigh, trace an absentminded pattern, dipping beneath the hem of your shirt, just barely grazing skin.
"Y’really that scared?" they murmur, turning their head just enough to glance up at you, half-lidded, half-smirking. "Ain’t even watchin’ the movie no more."
"Maybe ‘cause someone won’t shut up," you fire back, but your voice is softer than you meant it to be, breath catching when they press their face into your stomach—right there—like they know exactly what they’re doing.
"Mm." They exhale slow, warm, lips brushing fabric. "Or maybe y’jus’ need a better distraction."
Their fingers ghost higher. Their grip tightens, just a little. Your heart skips.
Yeah. Fuck the movie.
Their lips are warm—almost searing—the weight of them pressed against yours stealing the air right from your lungs. It’s slow at first, teasing, like they’re testing the waters, but the second you start to lean in, the second your fingers curl in their shirt, they take it as permission to devour.
"Mm—" You barely get a sound out before they tilt their head, deepening it, a slow, deliberate slide of lips and tongue that has heat creeping up your spine. Their hand finds the back of your neck, fingers pressing just firm enough to make you shudder.
"Y’kiss back real pretty," they murmur, breaking away just enough to speak, their voice dipped in amusement, something smug curling at the edges. "S’good f’me, yeah?"
You barely get the chance to respond before their teeth catch your lower lip—a sharp little nip that sends a jolt right down to your gut. Your grip on them tightens.
Then your heel catches on the floor, and suddenly, you’re tilting back, balance slipping—
But they’re already moving, already got an arm wrapped around you, holding you steady before you can even process the fall.
They click their tongue, half-laughing, half-scolding, pulling you flush against them like you belong there.
"Clumsy," they chide, and you can hear the grin in their voice, the way it stretches, smug and sharp. Their fingers trace slow circles against your lower back, dipping just under the hem of your shirt. "Y’like bein’ held this close, huh? Don’t even gotta ask—jus’ throw y’self at me next time, sweetheart."
Your face feels like it’s on fire. The warmth creeps down your neck, settling deep in your chest, and you hate—hate—how easy it is for them to get you like this.
"I—shut up," you grumble, voice barely above a whisper, but it comes out embarrassingly shaky. You’re still pressed against them, still close enough to feel the steady rise and fall of their breathing, and god, their hand hasn’t moved from your back.
They hum, tilting their head, eyes scanning your face like they’re drinking in every little reaction. "Angel, y’okay?" The nickname comes soft, almost reverent, but there’s something else in their tone, something knowing. They’re enjoying this—your flustered little stammers, the way you can’t meet their gaze for too long without feeling like you’ll combust.
"I—I’m fine." You try to sound steady, but it’s hard when their fingers drag slow, featherlight up your spine. A barely-there touch, but enough to send another shiver rolling through you.
"Mm." They don’t sound convinced. If anything, they sound amused. "S’that so?" A pause, and then—"Y’look real cute like this, y’know."
You whimper. Actually whimper.
And they hear it.
Their grin stretches, slow and lazy, all dimples and sharp teeth. "That a little sound y’jus’ made? Cute."
"Shut up," you try again, swatting at their chest, but they just catch your wrist, bring it up between the two of you. Their fingers curl around it, thumb smoothing along your pulse.
"Y’really nervous, huh?" Their voice drops, honey-smooth, coaxing. Their grip is loose, easy to pull away from, but you don’t. You can’t. Not when they’re looking at you like that.
"...No," you mumble, and it’s a horrible lie.
They chuckle, and before you can think, before you can even breathe, they bring your wrist to their lips, pressing the softest kiss against the inside of it.
"You’re adorable," they murmur against your skin, and it’s unfair, unfair how easily those words send your heart into a frenzy. "Y’don’t gotta be shy with me, angel."
You’re going to combust.
You barely have a second to catch your breath before REDACTED tilts your chin up, their lips grazing yours again—slow, deliberate, teasing. They’re watching you, gauging every little twitch, every sharp inhale, every way your body reacts to them like it’s the most fascinating thing in the world.
“D’you want more?” Their voice is low, a lazy drawl against your mouth. “Y’gotta tell me, angel.”
Your fingers clutch at their sleeves, grounding yourself. The way they speak—it’s like they already know the answer, but they want to hear it. Want to pull it from you.
You swallow, heat curling in your stomach. “Yeah.”
A quiet hum vibrates against your lips before they press another kiss there, just as slow, just as consuming. Their fingers slip under the hem of your shirt, gliding over your waist in a touch that barely lingers but leaves fire in its wake.
“That feel good?” They murmur between kisses, voice dropping an octave. “Tell me where.”
You almost forget how to breathe, arching just slightly into their touch. Their hands are so big, so warm, and when they drag their teeth along your lower lip, you can’t stop the way your fingers tighten in their clothes.
They chuckle, the sound deep and pleased. “Y’can’t even think straight, huh? S’cute.”
Your face burns hotter, and you bury it against their shoulder for a second, trying to compose yourself. But they’re not having that. Their hand slides up your back, pulling you closer, their lips brushing your ear.
“I don’t think y’can take all of me, angel.” Their voice is velvety, teasing, full of that patient kind of amusement that only makes it worse. “You’re practically stuffed full already.”
A whimper catches in your throat, and their hand tilts your head back, forcing you to look at them.
“Mm. Look at you.” Their thumb brushes over your bottom lip, and their eyes flicker down to where your lips are definitely a little wet from their kisses. Their smirk turns downright sinful. “You’re droolin’. Feels that good, huh?”
You can barely get a word out before their lips are back on yours, deeper this time, and—god—they’re not letting you go anytime soon.
REDACTED's mouth is still warm on yours, their breath mixing with yours in a way that makes your head feel light, like you’re toeing the edge of something sharp. Their hands don’t leave you—not yet, anyway. A thumb tracing lazy circles at your hip, a palm firm against your lower back. Secure. Unmovable. Like if they let go, you’d slip away. Like they don’t want that.
But your brain is drowning, so you do what you do best: open your mouth and let words spill out like you aren’t just trying to distract yourself from the way they have you pinned.
“…You have a motorcycle.”
A beat. Then, a slow blink.
“…Yeah.” Their voice is still low, still rough, like they haven’t quite left the moment behind. But their brow lifts, bemused, like they’re trying to understand how this is what you’re thinking about right now. “What about it?”
“I wanna see it.”
They stare at you. Like you just asked them to pull the moon out of the sky and hand it to you on a silver platter. You don’t think you’ve ever seen them look so…confused.
“It’s just a bike.”
“It’s your bike.”
Another pause. You watch the way their mouth twitches, some unreadable thought flickering behind their eyes. “You’re not thinkin’ of ridin’ it, are ya?”
You scoff, dramatic. “What, you don’t trust me?”
“Not even a little.”
You gasp. They smirk. The moment is broken—mostly. Their hands are still on you, after all. Their voice still has that drawl, like they’re tasting every word before they let it leave their mouth.
“Fine,” you huff, shoving at their chest (not that it moves them).
“…Alright,” they say finally, giving you one last kiss—slow, lingering—before pulling back. “Let’s go.”
REDACTED takes your hand like it’s second nature, like they don’t even think about it—just interlaces their fingers with yours and leads you through the mess of their garage.
It’s a wasteland. A graveyard for things they once cared about and then didn’t.
You see the car first, buried under dust, the tires slightly deflated. You remember when they bought it—thought they drove one, figured they might need it for you. But you should’ve known. A car was too…normal. Too practical.
The motorcycle, though—that fits them like a second skin.
Sleek black, polished even though they barely take it out. It suits them in a way the car never could. The sharp edges of it match the sharp edges of their jaw. The deep black mirrors the ink on their arms, the piercings that gleam under dim garage lights. And then there’s their eyes—blue, cutting through the dark like high beams. Jesus.
“I knew you’d be into it,” they murmur, watching you take it all in. There’s that teasing lilt in their voice again. The one that says they know what you’re thinking.
You roll your eyes, but your fingers twitch at your sides. You wanna feel it.
So you try to climb it.
And immediately almost fall on your ass.
REDACTED catches you like they knew you’d do that too.
“Whoa, whoa, easy there, angel,” they laugh, hands firm at your waist, pulling you up like you weigh nothing.
“I got it!” you insist, except you don’t because this thing is heavy as hell, and you don’t know the first thing about handling a bike like this.
“Uh-huh,” they hum, clearly not believing you at all, but still helping you settle onto the seat anyway. Their hands linger at your hips, warm, grounding. They lean in, just a little, just enough for their breath to brush against your cheek.
“Y’look real sweet up there,” they murmur, lips just barely grazing your ear. “Too sweet.”
You swallow. Your heart does something weird in your chest.
“…Are you gonna show me how to ride it or just stand there flirting?”
They grin, slow and sharp. “Can’t do both?”
REDACTED chuckles, low and warm, like they heard the sound you just made—like they felt it vibrate against their chest.
They climb on behind you, and suddenly, you’re caged in. Their legs bracket yours, their arms reach past your sides, hands covering yours on the handlebars. You feel the weight of them, solid and unshakable, and then—
Their hands slide to your waist. Adjusting. Correcting. But fuck, they don’t have to be this slow about it.
“S’posed to sit like this,” they murmur, pressing you back against them, firm, like they know you feel everything. Their breath is warm at your ear, their lips barely brushing skin as they lean in to reach the ignition.
The bike rumbles to life. You feel it first in your fingertips, then up your arms, then—oh. It sinks into your thighs, a steady hum between your legs, and you swallow down the noise that threatens to escape.
REDACTED notices. Of course they notice.
“You feel that?” they murmur, voice all honeyed amusement. Their grip on your hands tightens just enough to make your breath hitch. “S’nice, huh?”
You nod, maybe too quickly, because their laughter comes slow and smug against
You turn. Maybe too fast, maybe too eager, but REDACTED doesn’t seem to mind. If anything, they welcome it—because the moment you do, their hands are already there, steadying you, holding you like they knew you’d come to them.
And then—
Their lips.
Soft. So much softer than you expected, given everything else about them—the weight of their body, the roughness of their hands, the way they talk, lazy and deep, like they’ve got all the time in the world. But this? This is different. This is gentle.
Like they’re savoring it. Like you’re something to be tasted slow, something they don’t want to rush.
Your back meets the sleek body of the motorcycle, and they follow, leaning in, caging you in, their weight pressing into you in all the right ways. You feel them—all of them—towering over you, surrounding you, drowning you in their warmth.
And then their fingers curl under your chin, tilting your face just right, deepening the kiss, making you feel it, and fuck—
They break away first. Just barely. Just enough to let you breathe, but not enough to let you go.
“Y’taste sweet,” they murmur, thumb brushing slow over your lower lip. Their eyes are half-lidded, like they’re already thinking about going back in. “Knew you would.”
You’re breathless. Maybe a little dazed. Maybe a little—
Their lips ghost over yours, teasing, like they want to make you beg for it. Like they want to hear you say it, admit how badly you want them. Their hands? Firm on your waist, thumbs stroking slow, deliberate circles against your skin, like they’re mapping you out, like they’re memorizing the feel of you under their touch.
“Y’should see yourself,” they murmur, voice like a lazy drawl, all heat and hunger and patience that makes your skin burn. “Spread out on my bike like this. Look so fuckin’ pretty.”
The way they say it—like they own you, like they’re claiming you—it sends something hot curling low in your stomach.
Then their hands slide up, up, teasing under your shirt, knuckles dragging against bare skin, slow enough to make you shiver. “Feel good, angel?” They dip lower, fingers playing at the waistband of your pants, like they’re waiting for permission.
And then—fuck—their teeth. They nip at your jaw, trailing open-mouthed kisses down your neck, sucking just enough to leave a mark. You feel the way they smile against your skin, feel the way they hum in satisfaction, like they love marking you up.
“Want my hands on you?” A little squeeze at your hips. “Y’gotta tell me where.”
Their fingers press in slow, teasing, just barely skimming where you need them most. It’s intentional, the way they hold back, the way they make you feel every inch of the wait.
“Fuck,” you breathe, hips twitching, chasing the contact, but they don’t give in. Not yet.
They chuckle, low and dark, a sound that sinks into your skin. “So impatient,” they murmur, dragging their knuckles up your inner thigh, agonizingly slow. “Y’been thinking about this, huh? How long?”
Their words feel like a game—like they already know the answer but want to hear you say it anyway. You swallow hard, your breath uneven as you try to focus, try not to let them see how wrecked you already are.
Their lips return to your throat, pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses along your pulse, while their hand—fuck, their hand—finally moves where you need it, fingers pressing firm and knowing. A sharp gasp leaves you, your head tilting back against the bike, exposing more of your throat to their teeth, their tongue.
“That’s it,” they murmur against your skin, voice thick with satisfaction. “Take what y’need, angel.”
And then they press in deeper, their touch turning slow and deliberate, coaxing out every little sound they can pull from you. Their other hand drags up your side, pushing beneath your shirt, fingers spreading wide as if they want to feel every inch of you.
It’s overwhelming—the heat of their body against yours, the steady rhythm of their touch, the way they watch you, like they want to memorize every reaction, every shudder.
“You feel so fuckin’ good,” they rasp, pressing their forehead to yours, breath warm against your lips. “Could keep you like this all day.”
And from the way they’re touching you—like they have no intention of stopping—you’re starting to think they mean it.
You're not sure when you started shaking. Maybe it was the moment they first pressed you down against their bike, the cold metal sharp against the heat pooling in your stomach. Maybe it was when their lips barely grazed yours, teasing, promising, making you desperate. Or maybe—fuck—maybe it was when their hands started to roam, those strong, practiced fingers dragging slow over your skin like they were memorizing every inch of you.
And now? Now you’re undone.
They’ve got you caged in, their body flush against yours, their hands firm but patient as they press against your stomach, fingers spreading wide, palms warm as they pull you closer like they don’t want a single inch of space between you. Their breath is heavy against your lips, teasing, tempting, but they don’t kiss you yet. Not properly. They’re waiting. Watching.
They love watching.
“Y’know how fuckin’ pretty you are?” they murmur, dragging their fingers lower, pressing into the soft dip of your stomach, just enough to make you feel the possessive weight of their hands. “Could spend all night just lookin’ at you like this.”
Their words make something tighten low in your gut, an embarrassing whimper slipping past your lips before you can stop it. Their smirk sharpens, dangerous, and their hands move—one sliding down to squeeze your thigh, the other trailing up to your wrist, fingers brushing against your palm before lacing with yours.
Yeah. They love your hands too.
You feel the press of their lips against your knuckles, slow and deliberate, their tongue flicking out just slightly before they sink their teeth into the sensitive skin. Not enough to hurt. Just enough to mark.
“Mine,” they murmur, voice a little rough, a little distracted, as if the word just slipped out without them meaning to say it.
Fuck.
Your breath stutters as they lean in, their teeth dragging over your throat, nipping at the skin before soothing it with their tongue. They don’t stop there. They trail lower, their mouth finding your collarbone, then your chest, their hands still mapping you out, still pressing and teasing, like they want to touch everywhere at once.
Their grip tightens on your thigh as they spread you wider, their other hand still locked with yours, fingers squeezing tight. Their lips move lower, kissing a slow path down your stomach, mouthing at the sensitive skin, sucking, leaving marks, branding you as theirs.
"Y'feel so good," they breathe against your skin, voice thick with something raw, something real. "So soft. So perfect."
Their breath fans over your stomach, and they press another open-mouthed kiss there, their tongue flicking out to taste before their teeth sink in, leaving another mark—deeper this time. You shudder, a helpless moan slipping out, and they groan at the sound, their grip on your thigh tightening.
And then—fuck—then you feel it.
The cool metal of their piercing drags against your skin as they mouth lower, teasing, biting, before pressing their hips flush against yours, letting you feel everything. The sharp contrast of heat and steel makes you gasp, your fingers tightening in theirs, and they smirk, pleased with your reaction.
“You like that?” they ask, voice pure sin, hips rolling just slightly to let you feel the full weight of their arousal against you. “Y’like feelin’ how fuckin’ hard you make me?”
You whimper, head tilting back against the bike, but they don’t let you escape. Their grip on your hand tightens, grounding you, making sure you stay right here with them.
“Tell me,” they murmur against your stomach, lips brushing over each mark they’ve left, soothing, worshiping. “Wanna hear you say it, angel.”
Your breath shudders, your free hand moving to tangle in their hair, tugging just enough to make them groan. “EH- REDACTED? I love it.”
Their reaction is immediate. Their hips press against you again, firmer this time, more deliberate, letting you feel the piercing drag against you as they grind down slow, savoring it. Their mouth trails up, capturing your lips in a deep, heated kiss, their tongue teasing past your lips, taking, tasting, claiming.
“Good,” they breathe between kisses, pressing their forehead to yours, panting against your lips. “Gonna make you feel so fuckin’ good, angel. Just lemme take care of you.”
Got it. Buckle up.
The metal of the bike is cold against your burning skin, but you barely register it over the heat of him. [REDACTED] has you spread over his lap, thighs trembling where they bracket his, hands gripping the handlebars behind you for balance. You can feel him, hot and thick, stretching you open inch by inch—again. Your legs are shaking, overstimulated from how long he’s been toying with you, but he just won’t stop.
“Y’make the most lewd fuckin’ sounds.."
His voice is a slow, honey-thick drawl against your ear, and then—fuck
You try to turn your head away, but his free hand is already gripping your jaw, keeping you locked in place.
“Nuh-uh, angel."
He pulls you down hard against his lap, forcing every inch of him deep inside you, dragging that metal along your walls just like before. The sound you let out is shameless, and he groans at the way you squeeze around him.
“There it is,” he murmurs, smug as sin, pressing a kiss just below your ear. “Knew I could make y’sing like that again.”
His hips roll slow, lazy, dragging out every second of your torment. You can feel every piercing along his cock, the cool bite of metal making you jolt, overstimulated and desperate, but he’s barely even paying attention to you—like he’s just using your body for his own pleasure.
“Look at how fuckin’ good y’look on my cock,” he drawls, watching your reflection in the mirror across the garage, watching your lips part and your lashes flutter as he thrusts up again. “You were practically droolin’ before. Y’must love bein’ stuffed full, huh?”
You whimper, but that’s not enough for him.
“Go on. Say it.”
He punctuates the command with a sharp snap of his hips, grinding you down so deep you feel him press against that perfect spot inside you, and your head thumps back against his shoulder.
“I—I love it,” you gasp, back arching, thighs squeezing around his waist.
His chuckle is low and dangerous, and then his mouth is on you—kissing, sucking, nipping at the base of your neck as he starts rolling his hips in earnest.
“My angel always does such a good job,” he purrs, barely above a whisper. His hands trail down your thighs, squeezing, teasing, spreading you open just a little wider. “Y’already know that, don’t you?” His fingers dip between your legs, pressing just where you need it most. “’Course y’do. Can feel you squeezin’ around me right now.”
Your fingers dig into his arms, nails leaving little half-moon imprints in his skin as you rock against him, chasing your high, but he tsks, stopping all movement entirely.
“Ah-ah. Not yet.”
You whimper, hips stuttering in desperation, but he just smirks.
“Be patient, angel.” His hands slide back up to your chest, pinching, teasing, making you whine. “Y’can cum when I say so.”
And if you start rutting against him for friction, panting and desperate, he just chuckles, smug and infuriating.
“Look at you. Y’just can’t help yourself, huh?” His breath is hot against your ear, teasing, taunting. “S’alright. S’what I made you for, ain't it?”
And when you finally fall apart—when you finally shudder and break, crying out his name as your whole body trembles—he groans, dragging you down hard against his cock, pushing himself as deep as he can go.
“Fuck,” he rasps, breathless for the first time all night. His hands slide up, one tangling in your hair as the other grips your hip, keeping you locked in place, making sure you feel everything. “Y’took me so fuckin’ well.”
His lips press against the curve of your jaw, almost tender, before he murmurs, “Y’did so good for me, angel. So, I’ll let you pick.”
His fingers trail down your stomach, teasing, possessive.
His words curl around your brain like smoke, thick and intoxicating, clouding out anything but him. Your breath stutters—just enough hesitation for his smirk to sharpen.
“Aw, angel.” His voice is a slow, rolling drawl, lazy and smug. “Y’can’t even pick, huh?”
His fingers drag along your stomach, teasing, possessive. The motion sends a shiver straight down your spine, your overstimulated body twitching in his grip. You’re still stuffed full of him, stretched wide and trembling, but he waits. Like he enjoys watching you struggle to speak, to even think through the haze he’s wrapped you in.
“Tell me,” he murmurs, pressing his lips against your temple, deceptively soft. “Which d’ya want more?”
Your mouth opens, but all that escapes is a shaky breath. His fingers flex against your hip, gripping, kneading—waiting. And then, slowly, deliberately, he rolls his hips.
The noise that leaves you is barely human.
“Fuck—”
The sound of his chuckle is all teeth.
“There it is.”
His hand slides up your throat, tilting your chin so he can watch you—your dazed eyes, your parted lips, the way your body twitches at every lazy, deliberate grind of his hips. His gaze is half-lidded, burning, drinking in every inch of you.
“Feels good, don’t it?” His voice is syrup-thick, dragging down your spine like a physical thing. “Being stretched open like this, takin’ everything I give you…”
You swallow, barely nodding—too lost in the heat, the weight, the slow, devastating drag of him inside you. And he sees it.
His grip tightens.
“Y’can’t even fuckin’ talk, can you?”
You shake your head, eyes slipping shut, body keening against him. He hums, low and satisfied, kissing just below your ear.
“Don’t worry, angel.” Another slow thrust, dragging against that perfect spot inside you, making your whole body jolt. “I’ll decide for you.”
He shifts, pressing deep, locking you against him—and stays there, buried to the hilt, his breath warm against your neck.
“Be good,” he murmurs. “And take it.”
And then—heat. Possession. His arms tighten, his breath shudders, and you feel him let go—deep, slow, branding you from the inside out.
He groans against your skin, dragging his teeth along your pulse, and fuck—he doesn’t move away, doesn’t pull out, just keeps you there, completely filled, his cock still throbbing inside you.
“Guess we gotta keep goin’ till.."
His fingers trail down, smearing sweat across your skin, touching and teasing as he shifts beneath you—still hard, still inside.
And from the way his smirk curls against your jaw, he has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
His hands are everywhere—gripping, kneading, keeping you exactly where he wants you. Your whole body shudders as he grinds against you, still buried deep, his cock twitching with every shaky breath you take.
“Fuck, angel,” he groans, voice thick with heat. “Takin’ me so well—so fuckin’ deep—”
His hips roll, pressing just a little further, like he’s testing how much more you can take. The stretch is already too much, your body trembling against him, but the way he stays inside, stuffed to the hilt, makes you feel—
“Bet y’d look so good like this all the time.”
Your breath stutters.
He hums against your skin, slow and teasing. “All full of me. Carryin’ my cum inside that pretty little hole, leakin’ down your thighs…”
His fingers dip lower, just barely brushing over the mess he’s already made of you. A whimper slips out, and his smirk sharpens.
“Mm. Maybe I should make sure it sticks.”
You don’t even have time to process before his hands are gripping your hips tight, tilting you just right—before he thrusts up in one slow, filthy motion, grinding deep, making sure every drop of his cum stays right where he put it.
Your whole body jolts, overstimulated and trembling, but he just grins.
“Yeah,” he murmurs, dragging his teeth along your jaw, pressing lazy kisses to your flushed skin. “Think I wanna see you full of me all the fuckin’ time.”
He rolls his hips again, still slow, still teasing, but his breath is coming rougher now, his grip tightening.
“You’d let me, wouldn’t you?” His voice is a low purr against your ear. “Let me fuck you open every night, make sure you’re stuffed full—”
His fingers trail down your stomach, possessive, like he can already see it, like he wants to see it.
“Y’gonna let me breed you, angel?”
Your whole body clenches around him, and his groan is pure sin.
“…Yeah,” he breathes, voice all heat and hunger. “That’s what I thought.”
And then he moves.
Slow, deep, pushing you down to take him as he fucks his cum further inside, groaning at the way you twitch and shake, overstimulated but still so needy. His hands roam, pressing you close, dragging his nails down your sides like he’s marking his claim.
“Gonna fill you up every fuckin’ time,” he murmurs, lips trailing over your pulse, your throat, the corner of your mouth. “Till y’can’t even think of anyone else.”
"But, I- only think of you all the time.."
His grip tightens instantly. The second those shaky little words leave your lips, he stills—buried deep inside you, chest rising and falling against your back, hands locked around your waist like he needs to hold you there.
“…Say that again.”
His voice is lower now, rougher. Almost dangerous in how sweet it sounds—like he’s barely holding himself back.
You swallow, thighs trembling where they bracket his. “I—” Your breath hitches as he grinds against you, slow and deep, like he’s savoring the way you squeeze around him. “I only think of you—only you—all the time.”
That does it.
A sharp, ragged breath escapes him, his fingers digging into your skin. His control—his usual lazy drawl, that smug, taunting dominance—cracks.
“…Fuck.”
And then he moves.
Not slow this time. Not teasing.
This is needy.
Desperate.
Like you just shattered something inside him, and now he needs to prove it—to seal that claim inside you, make sure you never even consider anyone else.
His pace turns messy, all deep, rolling thrusts and ragged groans against your ear. He’s so worked up, so fucking sweetly possessive, whispering between every shaky breath:
“Mine.”
“You’re mine.”
“No one else gets you like this.”
“Fuck—no one else even knows you like this—”
His hands roam, clutching, nails scraping your thighs, your hips, your stomach, like he wants to mark you with every touch. His lips are everywhere—on your neck, your shoulder, pressed to the shell of your ear, murmuring between ragged gasps:
“You’re made for me.”
“Fuck—feel that? So deep inside you, fuckin’ claiming you—”
And then he loses it.
He slams into you, grip tightening, burying himself as deep as he can go—and he breaks, moaning into your skin as he spills inside, body shuddering with the force of it.
But even after he’s spent, even when his breath evens out, he doesn’t pull away.
He stays inside you, keeping you full, arms wrapped around your waist as he nuzzles against your neck, still murmuring in that soft, wrecked voice:
“No one else.”
“Only me.”
“You promise, angel?”
And when you nod—when you whisper, "Only you, always,"—he sighs, pressing a kiss against your pulse.
“…That’s my good fuckin’ angel.”
His breath shudders against your skin, lips tracing the curve of your jaw as he stays inside you, keeping you locked against his chest, filled, owned. His hands, still trembling from the aftershocks, roam your body—soft now, reverent, like he’s memorizing every inch of you.
And then, in a voice so quiet, so wrecked it barely sounds like him, he murmurs:
“We belong to each other, don’t we…?”
His grip tightens, pulling you closer, like he needs to hear you say it—needs you to confirm what he already knows.
You nod, dazed and pliant against him. “Y-yeah…”
But that’s not enough.
He tilts your chin, forcing you to meet his eyes in the dim light of the garage—dazed, dark, utterly consumed by you.
“Mind,” he whispers, pressing a kiss against your temple.
“Body,” another kiss, lower now, lingering against your cheek.
“Soul,” a gentle bite against your pulse, like he’s branding the words into you.
Then, lower—his hands sliding down your stomach, possessive and warm, pressing against the soft swell where he knows he’s still buried deep inside.
“…Everything.”
He groans, grinds against you just to feel it again, to make you squirm in his lap. His voice turns desperate, aching as he breathes against your ear:
“Your hole—fuck—your whole self—”
He kisses you then, messy and hungry, like he wants to swallow you whole, drag you even deeper into him until there’s nothing left between you.
He’s obsessed with watching you. The way your eyes flutter, the way your breath catches, the way your body reacts to every little thing he does. It’s intoxicating. Addictive. He needs to see it—needs to know exactly what makes you shudder, whimper, beg for more.
That’s why his favorite positions always keep you close. Always let him watch.
Missionary, but with your wrists pinned above your head, fingers entwined as he rolls his hips slow, deliberate, drawing out every little noise you make. He’ll whisper filthy things against your lips, drinking in every reaction, every quiver, every desperate squeeze around him.
Lotus, with you straddling his lap, chests pressed together, his arms wrapped tight around your waist. He loves the way you tremble in his hold, loves how deep he can go like this, how your body reacts so perfectly to every slow, deliberate thrust. Loves when you bury your face in his neck, whimpering, biting down to muffle the sounds—he always grins when you do, his voice a husky tease in your ear:
"Y'don’t gotta hide from me, angel. Wanna hear every fuckin’ sound y’make."
And when you do let go, when you whimper his name in that breathless, wrecked voice—that’s when he loses it.
It’s never just about the act for him—it’s about you. About making you feel so thoroughly ruined that you never want to be anywhere else but here, tangled up with him, hands clasped, bodies moving as one.
His voice is a breathy, wrecked whisper against your lips:
“Look at me, angel. Wanna see your face when you fall apart for me.”
The second the words left your lips, the moment that trembling, breathless "I love you, [REDACTED]—" spilled from your mouth, everything changed.
His rhythm faltered, hips stuttering, chest heaving against yours like you’d just knocked the air from his lungs. For a second, just a second, he didn’t move—just stared, eyes blown wide, lips parted, the slow realization of what you said crashing over him.
Then he broke.
A shuddered breath, a groan, and suddenly his arms were around you, crushing you against him, face buried in your neck. His body trembled—he trembled. His breath came in ragged, uneven pants, and then—fuck—he was whimpering, voice cracking as he choked out,
“Say it again.”
His hands tightened—one gripping your waist like he never wanted to let go, the other threading through your hair, pulling just enough to make you arch against him. His lips pressed to your skin, open-mouthed and desperate, his breath hot as he begged,
“Say it again, angel. Please.”
Your fingers curled against his back, nails digging into his skin, and you gasped as he rolled his hips deep, so deep it sent white-hot pleasure curling through your core. And even though you could barely breathe, barely think, you still gave him what he wanted.
“I love you,” you whispered, voice shaking. “I—I love you, I love you, I love y—ahh—”
He snapped.
A sharp, choked sound spilled from his throat—half-groan, half-sob—and then he was fucking you like he was trying to ruin you, like he wanted to carve your words into his soul. He didn’t care about pace, didn’t care about teasing, didn’t care about anything except chasing that feeling, that overwhelming, all-consuming rush of belonging that had his vision going hazy.
“You—fuck, you love me—” His voice cracked, rough, wrecked, like he couldn’t even believe it. “You—you really—ah—”
You felt something wet against your shoulder, and that’s when you realized—he was crying. His body shuddered with every thrust, every ragged breath, every desperate whimper he tried to swallow down. His fingers laced with yours, squeezing tight, grounding himself in the feeling of you.
“I love you,” he rasped, voice breaking as he slammed himself deeper, dragging you closer, closer, closer. “Love you, love you, fuck—I need you—”
And then he ruined you.
The sheer desperation in his voice, the overwhelming emotion in the way he held you, the way his body trembled with each ragged thrust—it sent you over the edge so hard you screamed. Pleasure crashed over you in an electric wave, body convulsing against his, vision going white, mind shattering as he fucked you through it, chasing his own high.
The moment you tightened around him, he broke completely, moaning your name like a prayer as he buried himself deep, shaking, gasping, tears hot against your skin as he came hard, filling you with everything he had—everything he was.
For a long moment, neither of you moved. Just tangled bodies, heaving chests, skin slick with sweat, breathless, wrecked.
He held you through the aftershocks, pressing kisses to your damp skin, hands tracing soothing patterns down your back. And when his breathing finally evened out, when his heartbeat slowed, he exhaled shakily, voice hoarse when he mumbled:
“Gonna make you say it every time, y’know that?”
A smirk tugged at his lips as he nuzzled into your neck, voice still thick with tears, still so incredibly soft.
“Need t’hear it. Need t’feel it.”
Then, with a slow, teasing roll of his hips, he hummed,
“Think y’can say it one more time for me, angel?”
He came for the last time...
His cum is thick, dripping slow and warm from between your legs, and [REDACTED] watches with a lazy, satisfied smirk, eyes half-lidded as he traces a slow, possessive hand down your stomach.
“Look at that,” he murmurs, thumb dragging through the mess he made before pushing some of it back inside. “S’like your body don’t wanna let me go.”
His voice is deep, wrecked, still tinged with the aftershocks of pleasure. He’s barely moved, still pressed against you, still inside you, his cock twitching at the way you whimper from oversensitivity. And even though you can feel him softening, you know he’s not quite done with you yet.
Because when he finally pulls out, slow and deliberate, he groans at the sight of his release leaking out of you, thick and white, dripping down your thighs. His fingers spread you open just a little, just to watch, to admire the way his cum still clings to your hole, and he lets out a quiet, breathy chuckle.
“Bet y’didn’t know that was one of my favorite sights,” he drawls, smug and easy, but there’s a hunger beneath it, something darker and deeper that makes his breath hitch. His fingers tease at your entrance, gathering up what’s spilling out before pushing it back in.
“Gotta keep you nice ‘n full, angel.”
Your body jerks, overstimulated, but he just leans down, kissing your temple with something achingly tender.
“S’my favorite way to mark you,” he murmurs, dragging his tongue across your jaw, pressing another slow kiss to the corner of your mouth. “Better than hickeys. Better than bruises. ‘Cause even if no one else can see it…” His breath fans warm over your lips.
“You’ll know it’s there.”
His hand lingers for just a second longer before he finally sighs, pressing one last kiss to your forehead before rolling
"Stay put," he orders, voice soft, indulgent, like he's speaking to something fragile.
You hear the rustling of fabric, the quiet drip of water, and then—warmth. A damp towel glides over your skin, gentle and slow, as he wipes away the evidence of everything he just did to you. His touch is careful, reverent, like he’s memorizing every inch of your body all over again. And when he finally deems you clean enough, he brushes his knuckles along your cheek, tilting your face toward him.
“Y’good?”
His voice is quiet now, searching, scanning your features for any hint of discomfort. And when you nod—when you lean into his touch, pressing a sleepy kiss to his palm—his lips twitch into something almost fond.
“Mm. Good.”
Your whole body feels like it’s floating—boneless, weightless—except for the ache between your legs and the warmth still pooling deep inside you. You're barely clinging to consciousness, vision hazy, skin flushed, legs utterly useless after how hard he wrecked you. The bike’s cold metal bites against your overheated skin, but you barely notice—too busy trembling in his lap, still impaled on his cock, still dripping with him.
[REDACTED] presses a lazy, open-mouthed kiss to your shoulder, voice still thick and breathless as he rasps, “Look at that, angel…” His fingers trace slow, teasing circles over your stomach, dipping lower—just enough to feel the way his cum is seeping out of you, trailing down your thighs.
A low, satisfied sound rumbles in his chest.
“Still full of me,” he murmurs, like he can’t fucking believe it. His hand drags lower, gathering some of his release on his fingers, pressing it back in—slow, teasing, possessive. You jolt, over-sensitive and trembling, but he just smirks.
“Y’think you can walk?”
You shake your head, barely able to breathe, let alone move. Your limbs feel like jelly, muscles twitching in the aftermath of too many orgasms, and your hands are still gripping the handlebars behind you for dear life.
“Tch. ’Course y’can’t,” he murmurs, amusement curling in his voice.
And then, without warning, he lifts you.
A startled gasp tears from your lips as he scoops you up, arms firm and steady beneath your legs, cradling you against his chest like you weigh nothing. His warmth envelops you, his scent thick in your lungs—leather, sweat, sex—and you can feel the rapid thud-thud-thud of his heartbeat where your head rests against him.
He carries you effortlessly, his grip firm yet careful, keeping you close. And fuck—there’s something so intimate about it. The way his fingers flex against your thighs, the way he presses a kiss to your temple without thinking, the way his breath hitches slightly when he adjusts you in his arms—like he just loves holding you like this.
His voice is softer now, a low, affectionate drawl as he hums,
“Think y’need a bath, angel.”
You barely have the strength to respond, just nodding weakly against his chest. He chuckles, shifting you higher in his arms, pressing you even closer.
“Don’t worry. I got you.”
His lips brush against your forehead, tender, lingering.
“I always got you.”
The bath had been too warm, too soothing, and between the exhaustion settling deep in your bones and the way [REDACTED] had kept tracing slow, lazy circles on your thigh under the water, you'd nearly drifted off in his arms. He’d washed you—hands reverent, careful, like he was sculpting something delicate out of soap and steam—before wrapping you in a towel and carrying you back to the bedroom.
And then he’d leaned against the doorway, still damp from the bath, towel slung low on his hips, eyes dark
You'd barely had time to process before his hands were guiding you down, pressing you against the mattress, the cold air prickling against your freshly washed skin.
And fuck—he was so deep, stretching you all over again, hands gripping your hips as he fucked into you with slow, deep thrusts, dragging pleasure out of you until you were shaking beneath him, moaning into the sheets.
He’d taken his time—murmuring soft, possessive praise against your skin, watching the way your body took him, how it clung to him, milking him with every thrust until he finally spilled inside you again, filling you up just like before.
And even then, he hadn’t let you move.
He’d just stayed there for a moment, cock still buried deep, hands stroking down your sides as he hummed, pleased, murmuring something low and smug about "keeping you full for just a little longer."
And only when you whined—utterly wrecked and oversensitive—had he finally pulled out, chuckling at the way you shuddered, at the way his release dripped from you.
Now—
You’re in the kitchen, barely dressed, legs still unsteady as you focus on the dessert you’re making. [REDACTED] is behind you, clinging—all broad chest and heavy warmth, arms wrapped around your waist as he nuzzles lazily into your neck.
“Y’ain’t gonna let me help?” he mumbles, voice still slow and drowsy with leftover satisfaction.
“You never help,” you tease, nudging him lightly. “You just stand there and hug me.”
A lazy smirk curls against your skin. “S’important job, angel. Gotta make sure you’re warm.”
You roll your eyes, but you don’t move to shake him off. If anything, you lean into him a little more, enjoying the slow rise and fall of his chest, the way his fingers flex gently against your stomach.
Then, without warning, you turn and press a kiss to his jaw.
His breath hitches.
Just a second. Just a tiny pause, barely noticeable—but you feel it.
And then he’s tilting your chin up, his gaze dark and unreadable as he leans in, pressing a slow, deep kiss to your lips. It’s unhurried, indulgent, his tongue teasing against yours as he takes his time tasting you. His arms tighten around you, pressing you closer, like he never wants to let go.
When he finally pulls away, his forehead rests against yours, his breath warm against your lips.
“You’re so fuckin’ sweet, angel,” he murmurs.
His fingers drift lower, toying with the hem of your clothes, dangerous in their intent.
"...Y'ever thought about letting me have dessert first?"
[REDACTED]’s breath catches. Their fingers twitch slightly in yours—scarred, burned, rough in all the ways that tell a story they’ve never spoken aloud.
You don’t press. You never do.
Instead, you lift their hand to your lips, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to each calloused knuckle.
Their face is unreadable—staring down at you, something flickering in their dark eyes, something raw, something fragile. Like they don’t know what to do with the warmth of your touch. Like it hurts.
And then, as you shift closer, your ring glints under the dim kitchen light. The matching band on their finger catches, too—two small, simple things, yet carrying the weight of a lifetime.
Childhood lovers. Meant to be.
Their grip tightens around your hand, just slightly. Just enough to tell you they’re holding on.
“…If you hadn’t taken his hand that day,” [REDACTED] murmurs, voice rough with something unreadable, “…would you have still said yes?”
Your heart aches at the memory.
That day, years ago—small hands reaching, fingers brushing, the quiet promise sealed with a ring—before Leon’s sneer cut through the moment, before cruel hands tore you away, before [REDACTED] had been left alone with nothing but the sting of rejection and the echo of their own heartbeat.
You squeeze their hand tighter. Hold it against your chest, where they can feel the steady rhythm beneath your ribs.
“I don’t know,” you admit softly. “Maybe my childhood self wouldn’t have understood love the way I do now.”
[REDACTED] swallows, jaw tightening.
“But…” You smile—small, warm, certain. “I’m happy that life gave me another chance with you.”
Something in them cracks.
They look at you—really look at you—eyes shining, throat working around words they can’t quite say. Their lips part, but no sound comes out, and then—then they just press forward, pressing their forehead against yours, squeezing your hand against their chest like they’re the one afraid you’ll disappear this time.
“…You love me?”
A whisper. A plea.
You cradle their face, thumb brushing over the dampness clinging to their lashes, and you whisper back—
“I love you, [REDACTED].”
And finally—finally—they let go.
Not of you. Never of you.
But of everything else.
[REDACTED] shudders—a small, barely-there breath that stutters in their throat, like they don’t know how to take in the weight of your words. Like they can’t believe they deserve them.
But you just hold them closer.
“Only you,” you whisper, pressing your forehead to theirs. “The real you.”
Their fingers tighten around yours, almost desperate. You can feel it—the way their body tenses, the way their breath hitches, the way they struggle against something unseen.
“I’ll tell you this for the rest of my life,” you promise, voice steady, unwavering. “I’ll say it as many times as it takes. Just so you know.”
Their eyes flutter shut. Their lips part, like they want to say something, but no words come—just the smallest, strangled sound, like something breaking apart in their chest.
“You,” you whisper again, softer now. “The real you is the one I feel the happiest with.”
And that’s when they fall.
Not physically. Not in any way you can see.
But you feel it—the way their last defenses crumble, the way their breath shudders out of them, the way they just let go and sink into your arms, forehead still pressed to yours, fingers tangled with yours, body trembling as they clutch onto you like you’re the only thing keeping them together.
“…You’re not leaving,” they whisper, barely a sound.
“I’m not leaving.”
Their lips find yours—not desperate, not rough—just deep. Slow. Like they’re memorizing the way you feel.
You giggle at the way [REDACTED]’s eyes soften when you press the small cake piece to their lips. “C’mon, try it,” you coax, voice light, teasing. “I made it just for you.”
They huff, but there’s no real resistance—just a tiny, reluctant smirk as they take the bite from your fingers.
A pause. Then, their expression melts.
“…S’ good,” they murmur, lips still brushing against your fingertips. Their voice is softer than usual, almost boyish in its honesty. “Sweet… tastes like strawberries.”
You beam. “See! I told you you’d like it!”
Their gaze lingers on you—eyes half-lidded, warm, fond. And then, in one slow, deliberate movement, they lean in and press a kiss right to the tip of your nose.
It’s so soft, so unexpectedly sweet, that your breath catches.
And when they pull back, licking the last traces of cake from their lips, they hum lazily, “Mm. You’re sweeter, though.”
Your heart does a stupid little flip.
"Cheer up, angel," they say, voice dipping into that low, syrupy drawl. "Can’t have you lookin’ cuter than dessert itself.”
You’re definitely not blushing. Not even a little bit.
