“azzi,” i mumble, adding that touch of whine into my voice that tends to drive her crazy. she doesn’t answer, just whispers something and hushes me. i try to lay there, focus on my breathing, but i can’t. every time i listen to breath, i hear her breath. which reminds me im right next to her. which reminds me that i want her, really bad, but she’s asleep. i have two options. i can lay here until the morning, or until azzi wakes up, or i can take matters into my own hands. when she turns and the swell of her ass brushes against me, the decision is made. i carefully move one of my hands from around her, and slip it into the waistband of my panties. i slowly work two fingers into myself, letting out a little gasp. i don’t notice when azzi opens her eyes and looks at me.

“what are you doing baby?” she questions, placing her palm over my hand. 

“i- im so sorry az i just couldn’t sleep and i needed you so bad and-“ she puts her other hand over my mouth, silencing me.

“azzi, what the fuck.”

DIFFERENT ROUTES

okay so. i don't really do different routes, i just give 3 decisions that funnel into the same route so the game FEELS like a game...but its not rlly one.

i'll try to take it step by step:

make options. make sure you already have the following slides/routes created

make the blue textbox cover the entire beige box. if you don't, then when players click, it'll direct them to the NEXT slide, not the route you want

Click on the blue lines of the textbox and click CTRL+K. You should already have the route slide created, in which you just input the slide number. IF YOU WANT PLAYERS TO RETURN TO CERTAIN SLIDES W/O GIVING THEM THE OPTION SLIDE, HERES AN EXAMPLE..(?):

>the "stay in bed" option is on slide 14. >this options directs you to slide 16. >slide 16 is a joke option. because of this, i want the player to go BACK to slide 14 to make a serious decision. >to do this, i turned EVERY asset into a CTRL+K link that sends you back to slide 14. this includes the background, text box, beige text holder, the apple png >this way, no matter where the player clicks, it sends them back to slide 14 (so they can make a real decision) >this gives you full control of where the player goes, even if its going backwards

EXTRA TIPS:

after every choice-slide, i created this warning slide. this makes sure that even if the player doesnt click correctly(i.e clicks the background, uses spacebar), they'll know there was a mistake and it'll send them back

I ALSO PUT THIS RED SLIDE BETWEEN EVERY "ROUTE CHUNK". what i mean by that is..

>as you can see, there is the decision on slide 196. >the first decision on slide 196 sends you to slide 198. >so slide 198-204 is a "route chunk". >when players finish that route chunk, i link(CTRL+F) ALL ASSETS on slide 204 to slide 215 >i do this because slide 215 is the end of the "route chunks" and leads you to the direct story. slide 204 AND 213 both link to 215 >this allows readers to progress smoothly regardless of what decision they made, since all decisions are meaningless in my VN (sorry)

>HOWEVER, this means you have to try and make sure all decisions leave no tangible impact on the story - i try to make them impact the player, not the MC (i.e leaving canine teeth in the drawers so the PLAYER will feel uneasy, but the MC never mentions it again)

i use these red slides to separate the slide chunks for two reasons:

makes it easier for me to keep track of route chunks when editing

if there is a mistake, players know to go back one slide so they can fix it. this way, they wont be progressing through random, unclear routes

FIRST, you need to download a youtube video with whatever music you want. i think this website should work

SECOND, you now have an MP3 youtube video. GO ONTO GOOGLE DRIVE, click NEW, click UPLOAD FILE, then upload the MP3 file

THIRD, go into your slideshow. click INSERT, click AUDIO. now you should have the audio on your slideshow.

FOURTH, now its all up to preference. you should have a little audio icon pop up. click AUDIO ICON, click FORMAT OPTIONS, click LOOP AUDIO.

YOUR AUDIO SHOULD PLAY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SLIDESHOW NOW!!! :3

another very long analysis from @misticalnova !! 6w6 this time im going to cut your ask into parts not because i'm going to omit some points you've made like i did last time, but because the ask is really long haha. i also would like to tackle each part. so this time i'll post your ask in its entirety!

i loved that idea so much i had to add it, especially gria's reaction to scar's voice. but yes-- since third life was one of the later seasons i watched, i was so used to proximity chat that i thought it was so endearing how they were excited about it during their first session. grian was so excited about it and the fact that someone could just catch him from behind talking to his audience, and in the lens of this au it might be a detail i could just gloss over but... thinking of VR games, the surround sound and proximity chat is one of its fun features and one that makes it incredibly immersing! Virtual reality games are so easy to be immersed in, and i do believe that if i were gria i wouldnt question the npcs having voices right away. i'd have an "oh hold on," moment way later. out of all of them, it was actually him who was the first to find it strange. even if joel found out about it at the same time as him, and -- going with third life canon -- jimmy meeting scott early on, they wouldn't find it suspicious or odd right away. that's because they're all easily immersed in the game.

for hermitopia and the life game, it was really hard for me to explain the mechanics only through descriptions and comparisons to existing games, so i do hope to create a game UI or fake screenshot of the games for better visualization of what i imagined. and yes, hermitopia is a popular game! not one that is mainstream that anyone outside the gaming sphere would know, but it might be notorious among spaces like how the elder scrolls franchise is. it's also the titular game of an AAA video game company, one that could afford to release it not only on consoles but also port it to PC, which is how Gria got to play it. i'm excited to talk more about that one when we get there.

the XP points are something i hope to play around with so i added it, as well as the customization aspect. i'm still working on the character designs, and i should've also drawn what they looked like when they played the alpha version, which was a huge oversight on my part! (one of many, now i realize) but for now, please imagine the customization to be something like how they all (mostly) shared a steve skin on EVO smp during the starting episodes. the customization was something new to their current game, but they were still able to use preset skins in the alpha test like how we have other default skins (ie. alex, efe, noor, etc). i genuinely forgot to tackle this aspect and it's now bothering me like a finger splinter ... ToT expect a chapter 0 where theres no words and just designs because now im going crazy over this

no you're not reading into it too much, but i did not think of this aspect and i now have plenty of ideas with it (and details i wish i could change in the last update ToT). I do want to say that they all look a tad bit different from what they look like irl! a good comparison would be their portraits here in the first part and something similar to my art of lifers in my style. but as for the facial expressions, that is a detail i did not think about... i was going to say they only rely on each other's tone of voice, but now im thinking maybe (at least only in this beginning part of the au) they have limited facial expression options that could show if they are smiling, frowning, or angry. something like this, maybe! :

i do like this idea!!! i like it a lot. that is something i havent thought far into. currently, they do not feel pain. the beginning part will be them going through it and focusing on the game mechanics, and they would react to "pain" like an immersed gamer would (ie, the streamer you watch saying "ouch" if they have been hit in-game). i wont say when they will feel real pain, but i love your take on it and i might be inspired by this when i get to writing this part. (of course, only if you're okay with that)

the background noises are such a great detail ... and i only have thought about gria's living condition, which is him renting a small apartment with his desk setup near a window (i have to draw this at some point, too.) as for the sitting down part, i do think the evo gang + joel are all standing up when they played real life, except skizz. so that is a fun idea to play around with...

ive thought about the limited movement in minecraft vr (specifically in 'real life') so much that it was my basis when i wrote the prologues instead of nicer, better tracked movement in VRChat. so ... there is motion tracking but it's incredibly janky.

scar interacting with gria was one of the only things i was intentional about, especially him putting his arm around gria and him winking. he has more control of his actions and expressions than gria and the rest of the gang at this point of time, yes :D and i am excited for the scarian moments ahead when gria is able to move freely like him. so excited.... very excited. :)

shockingly i haven’t posted anything about the kind of hilarious kind of sucky p4 remake yuri lowenthal tweet yet dhdjdj

on one hand. it’s quite funny. on the other hand, it does suck to hear him beg to come back and atlus go no. but on a secret third hand, i’m also not surprised. like i’m not shocked that they’d wanna go with an entirely new voice cast, but it’s also a tad bit confusing cause god p4 has had so many spinoff games and yosuke is such an iconic character and voice and you have the guy begging to be back. And it’s like. Saying no is an interesting choice.

Other p4 VAs have been swapped out even in spinoffs, and it’s been fine! I have no problem with it! It’s just interesting to be like absolutely no when someone who loves to role wants to be involved.

So like. I’m not surprised. It’s just like. Damn. Also leaking it extra that way is insane.

The thing i’m MORE worried about is that atlus is kind of in a lose lose situation with the naoto and kanji arcs. To be honest, i don’t think they should necessarily have to change the entirety of those plot points. I am very aware naoto is not in canon text trans, nor is kanji in canon text gay. Atlus chose to have strange spectacle based gay plot with kanji and have an accidental trans-seeming narrative with naoto (which i think comes down to poor writing on both counts).

The things i actually want them to change is just the way they portray it. Because having kanji do a “gay voice” and be so overtly stereotypically gay and predatory in a really offensive way just like. Was not funny ever. And extra isn’t funny now. I think they can still have him struggle with the exact same thing. Society sees his hobbies as “for women” AND society sees gay men as “feminine,” thus he struggles with that. That’s fine. Because it would be true that these things are wrong and he could still be straight and like. Gay men aren’t women stop conflating those things. it would be cool for him to also be bisexual or somethin. But most importantly, the way they wrote it originally was awful.

Same with naoto. They don’t have to make naoto transgender duh. I know that wasn’t their goal. I know it got messy. Despite it being a very relatable trans storyline, i know it wasn’t on purpose. But what they SHOULD change is the way it is treated. The other characters shouldn’t be extreme assholes about naoto’s feelings during and after the reveal. There should be no disgusting mini plot moment of discussing naoto’s chest size?? And telling everyone?? When naoto is obviously uncomfortable with it. That’s gross to do to anyone.

And honestly i really do think adding a goddamn yosuke romance would just make sense. Not a single gay romance option to date. this would be the time. This would make his struggle even more interesting. The option being there but not forced just like with the girls should just happen. I DOUBT it but like. They should.

ANYWAY. i’m extremely hesitant about this remake. P3 didn’t have so much mess ingrained into the plot of the game. P3R removed the one transphobic “joke.” But the shitty moments with kanji and naoto are there. A lot. And they really need to just write it better. But again. I’m not looking forward to it as a whole. I love p4 so so much, but i cannot handle more kanji naoto discourse. Especially from people who just…hate queer people for finding comfort in those characters. Like as someone who knows naoto isn’t canonically trans. I still as a trans person enjoy naoto through a trans lens. But im not saying that’s canon or what atlus is saying. Like these two things can exist. It doesn’t matter. But i really don’t want a resurgence of even worse queerphobic shit from rancid p4 fans. But i also dont want p4 to be forced to change its story either. It’s tricky. Hi i want to talk about my all time favorite camera 📸

pls ignore all my grammar mistakes, i’m not professional reviewer 😂 i just wanna talk about this camera.

This is the Sony RX1Rii, this is the third and “most recent” version of this camera. i put “most recent” in quotes because this camera is almost 10 years old. don’t like the old age fool you because this camera can keep up with the newest cameras in its niche.

This little point and shoot sports a 42mp full frame sensor. YES, F U L L F R A M E!! This tiny camera is actually smaller than all the x100 series (minus the lens on it). The camera has an incredibly sharp Zeiss Sonnar 35mm f2 glued to. This camera has 399 af points, with eye AF. The camera is incredibly fast and accurate!! the camera is pretty much a tiny packaged Sony A7Rii!

One of my favorite features of this camera is the pop-up EVF! This is a feature that was added to only this version of the camera and it’s a feature that i wish sony continued to incorporate into some of their other smaller cameras like the A7c or a6k series!

The camera does shoot video up to 1080 120fps, but does not have picture profiles such has S-log or HLG. This was a camera made strictly for photos, which is probably for the best because the battery life on this camera is terrible, any kind of prolong video shooting would absolutely burn through these batteries in minutes.

That brings me to my next point, my cons. There’s not many but i figured i’d point them out anyways for those who are interested in this camera. these aren’t make it or break it cons, these are just issues that hinder it from being the greatest camera ever released (IMO)

1) battery life, i believe it’s rated for like 220 shots. Ive definitely gotten it to last twice than that. That tiny body processing all that data on some of the tiniest batteries makes sense why it’s so bad. Luckily batteries are cheap and like i said they’re tiny, so they’re pretty easy to carry around!

2) no picture profiles in video. i know i touched on it briefly up above and this camera is mainly a photo camera AAAAAND hybrid cameras were just beginning to grow in popularity around the time this camera came out but it would’ve been amazing to have s-log in this camera for little snippets here and there. i know at the time IG and other photo sharing apps were mainly photo sharing apps, and a camera that was built strictly for photo has no business having usable picture profiles in video.

3) no crop mode in RAW. this one is weird to me because i know the A7Rii has an APS-C mode where you can shoot RAW photos with an inbody crop and there’s times that i’d love to shoot something at 50mm (35mm + sony’s 1.5x aps-c crop). there is a digital zoom option but that’s for jpg only.

4) PRICE!!!! why the fuck is this camera still being sold for $3200??!! this is a 10 year old camera with outdated tech. i bought mine used for $1900 (which is about the price of the fuji x100V at the time of purchase) and i still think that’s a little too much.

that’s really about it aside from minor complaints of not having tele/ wide converters. i’m also sure all of those cons stem from the small battery. I’d love to see all of these corrected in a Mk3 one day, but as of a couple weeks ago sony just discontinued the Rx1rii’s production. I’m being a little hopeful but maybe that means we’re getting a successor, i doubt it but a boy can dream.

I don’t really do reviews or anything but this camera has had my heart for the past 9 months so i had to show it off/ talk about it. this to me in the perfect everyday camera. it never leaves my side and comes with me to any and every trip! Im always blown away by the photos i create with this little camera and i know whenever a mk3 comes out im going to hop on the chance to buy on immediately!

i very firmly believe that endos are one of two three things.

A. a traumagenic system with really bad disassociative amnesia to the point where they dont know its there and dont 'feel traumatized' (for lack of better phrasing)

B. a singlet that has a different disorder with symptoms that mimic did.

EDIT: there is a secret third option. recently i came across some resources and links to plural things. i did read it because it wasnt using plural and system interchangeably and i figured it would be a good place to start. so to be a SYSTEM you need trauma, but to be plural specifically theres a lot of reasons for that. to my understanding (feel free to respectfully correct me) plural doesnt mean 'alters' as alters are a system exclusive thing. plural can mean different 'subpersonalities' or states of mine, not necessarily different fleshed out full identities. some people name and give pronouns to these different 'mindsets' (for lack of a better word) but that doesnt mean that theyre claiming that they have alters

so. option C: they are the secret third option: not a system and not claiming to be a system and should not be attacked for naming their different sub-personalities for their own whimsical needs

(this part is about any nontraumagenic system who is not willing to accept theyre not a system) the thing is, nobody wants to be a 'faker' and when someone looks at something that you firmly believe to be a core part of you and says that this thing that, again, you believe to be undeniable and goes "ohhh you dont have that!", youre gonna get hella fucking offended and defensive right? i get it, nobody likes to be 'wrong' about themselves but a lot of endogenic systems and pro-endo systems need to do a lot of research on DID

I've never thought of Grace's parents as being in a lavender marriage before?? though now thinking about it, I can see it with their moments in NPMD with the "I wasn't much older than him when I was carrying your books, Mrs. Chastity" and them being uncomfortable about talk of sex/sexual thoughts. I know the intention is them being Christian conservatives, but I'm going to hit them with the queer beam along with you that they're sex-repulsed aces 💥 I do wonder if they're in any other relationships since it's a lavender marriage. I don't know much about their ships specifically, but we got a whole lot of characters to work with in Hatchetfield!

Grace self-sabotaging so she's the only one "going to hell for adultery" to save Max and Richie is noble yet hilarious, because it's just Grace's religious guilt speaking and her 3rd wheeling them while not confronting her actual feelings is some method to mitigate that guilt... until her Dead Girl Walking moment because my girl just realized Sharing is an Option and My Life is a Lie (sorta. but hey it's also a parallel to canon). Max has two hands and they fit Richie and Grace's ☝️

dude I also love crackfics, but my utter FAVORITE is crack treated seriously!! give me a fic of Max seeing through the 4th wall with a dash of angst of unreality, but also him being silly and using that 4th wall ability in a prank but no death au where he integrates with the nerds a little Too Well. I feel we can really play into Grace's comment of "he's just a nerd in diguise!" with their interactions and the added context of our world and theirs

Also a hearty thank you for the much needed kick in the butt because I’ve been flip-flopping whether to add an option for multiple characters or not.

A short while ago I started working on an example I was nearly sure I’d add but I put it on the back burner. So thanks for reminding me lol here’s a really rough WIP of what this option entails:

I added an upgrade for the refined portraits ( C) at the price of 95 € (up to two additional characters).

But I didn’t even think of the simple half-body version (B) - I added a simple upgrade option for additional characters at the price of 50 €.

Recently i came across a beautiful game that had me questioning a few things. When learning tarot i always stuck heavily with books' and instructions' help, a considerable amount instead of pure intuition (but of course there were some, or else it wouldn't be tarot). Other than that, i also kept constantly in mind that tarot was purely therapeutical and guidance rather than fortune telling, as many wiser Witches taught me.

This game however, showed me a completely different vision on how to read the cards, with very simple yet effective spreads and much more confident interpretations. I also have strong reasons to believe this is Hekate's idea.

TL;DR: I wanna try fortune telling instead of therapeutic tarot

Confidence, i think it's the keyword. When i started this blog, even if i wanted to stick with the guidance tips tarot i was taught, many people came to me asking things about their future and not much insights about themselves, and that made me so nervous because, obviously, i didn't want to make a wild, ambicious prediction and it be wrong, to disappoint the requester, nor did i want to bring the bad news. So to avoid it, i was the first one to bland it out and make it not a big deal. The grain of salt.

It is wise from a point of view, one's future is theirs to make their own, but constantly telling myself "I can't go too far" might have limited my own intuition power.

Of course a game is but a game, it is scripted and has the limitless of fiction, however i do firmly believe there are talented, gifted people out there that can predict the future through divination magic with precision unmatched (oh, the stories i heard), but it's something wlse entirely, much harder to believe i could be one of those.

Even if i am unfortunately not very constant with my tarot craft, because it doesn't pay my bills and all that, i do feel a strong connection with my decks and the things i learn through the little sessions and readings every now and then, therefore trying out a new thing could be doable

When im not in tune during a session, my cards kinda "refuse to work" until we fix the vibes, the question, etc, and when everything is aligned it flows with incredible accuracy and meaning. I never "predicted the future" per see, however many, dare i say most, of my readings sooner than later came to be true, the ones i had been close to watch it unroll, so it might be possible to channel that energy into something similar, bolder.

The more i think about it, the stronger is my feeling to dive into this possibility, because i know if that's something my decks are not okay with, they will give me the proper queues, leaving my on read, so back to insightful readings it is.

Just like i do with my hair, a little bit of experimentation will not hurt anybody

My idea is to go deeply into bold fortune telling, let my intuition go wild, align it with my current knowledge (and future, because that's never too much) and allow myself some creativity freedom, read the cards with my third eye and present the consultant with very different outcomes one might never have considered an option.

About Hekate's insight, this month i admit to have failed my duties more than other months, it got me a little sad, because it's partly due to work and rest routine that I'm terrible at organizing. But during one of my hunting sessions for games to relax, I came to find that game by paths i usually don't trail (navigation wise) and played the demo that instantly made me purchase the whole thing.

I have reasons to believe Hekate lead me to it, silently with a few odd clicks, just the way She initially lead me to tarot years back, with a simple instagram ad (an opportunity to take the first step, after many days of me pondering about it). The game, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, has a beautifully written script, nice game mechanics, pretty art and designs and wild interpretations of Witchcraft, a great piece of fictional entertainment watered with valuable pieces of basic information Witches should know about.

This totally wakened my senses, as i said, sadly not constant with tarot, i felt intrigued with the mechanics and possibilies, and after lots of research on the matter, my conclusion is yes, fortune telling could be possible for me, if im brave enough the flourish it.

Like the game protagonist, I'm a bit scared of what may come out of this, seen like i had a very turbulent past that made me insanely afraid of what the future holds (cough cough ptsd cough subject for another day), this can be a healthy way of helping deal with it.

I shall make a briefer post later, but my idea is to reopen tarot requests, making it explicit that this is a beta testing fortune telling kind of deal.

Although i feel strongly Hekate is the one once again showing me the way, i feel like gathering some additional sources to aid this possible journey, and read more into Apollo's devotes and their experience with clairvoyance is on my list, maybe i might be blessed with His dodgeball gift of prophecy red ball in the face, so if any of Apollo's fortune tellers, messengers or followers have any tips regarding prophetic matters I'd love to hear about it!

hi again. here are my questions:

1.) if my MC have more scars than her intial one, will they come up later in the story? for example: will RO during naughty scenes mention MC´s bullet scars or lash scars?

2.) how influencial will choices be? will the decision between car and bike change the outcome of MC escape? if i decide to dont kill any guards, make sure im not seen by anyone and reach the scientist, will the result be different than going in guns blazing/killing guards silently?

3.) about the "figure in the shadows", we see in their POV after the red room incident. they creeped me out, and i mean REALLY creeped me out. the whole thing with the pet name "sweet apple" and the fact that they are hiding in the shadows and "…That single thought sends shivers through their body…" just gives me creepy stalker vibes. (english is not my native language, so the "whole shiver through their body" probably means/implies something different). thats why i have to ask: is this person a romance options (i guess so, why else would they have a POV)? and if so, will there be an option to keep them as far away as possible from MC? dont get me wrong. if this was your intended effect, then take this as another compliment to your writing.

i apologize if the third point sounds harsh, but this character would be the first RO, which i really hate. there were other RO´s in other IF´s, which i didnt like, but never hated them. and to clarify: i may hate this character, but this doesnt mean i hate you, the author, or the story in total.

Answers for the questions below -

Yep, that's the idea. I want all the customisation options to at least have some mention so that they aren't just random options you select at the beginning of the game and forget about. They should be brought up in Chapter 2. I'm just trying to figure out how it will work with Cy and Echo, as realistically either of them at that point in the story might have already seen some of the scars. For Cy, I'm thinking of adding an option to choose if the scars are pre- or post-Cy leaving, but with how many options there are, if the player chooses all of them, I'm not sure if it would have even been possible to get that many scars in that amount of time. But it might just be one of those things where I sacrifice realism for an easier-to-write section.

So for the bike or car option, it will affect some flavour text for the mansion escape, but that's about it. For later in the game, it will be more influential, as it will give some different options for travelling and also for certain escape scenes. For killing the guards and being silent/guns ablazing, it will affect a scene after the sneaking quite heavily, and it will also affect how some of the RO's and some other characters will initially interact with the MC.

So the POV is supposed to be a POV for A; it was written before they were going to be an RO and was more just an enemy for the MC. I'm not super happy with the writing; as you put, some of the text comes off as pretty creepy. I'm probably going to rewrite/tweak it at some point so it's more of a general interest than an infatuation as it currently reads, as there will be options to be heavily distrustful of A and downright despise them, so the MC will only need to interact with them at the major parts of the story and not any more time than necessary.

No worries, it was really good feedback and made me re-read the section a bit more and identify some of the stuff that was already niggling at the back of my mind. All feedback is always good and helps with creating a better game in the edit, which is always the end goal.

oh my goodness thank you so much everyone for all the continued support on the og post 😭😭 i'm going very slowly but i honestly am thinking about this project all the time so i'm glad so many people also like the idea!!

as promised, here's some questions i have regarding the transition from screen to text. feel free to reblog or reply under this post, or even message me directly! i don't mind anything!

★ How do you all feel about deleted scenes?

(referring to these ones specifically, in case there's others i don't know of)

should they be added/kept or excluded? should some be kept and others not? and optionally: why do you think so?

★ How objective to the film should it be?

this one sounds crazy because obviously it should be the same. but i mean more about the depiction/treatment of women and borderline cultural appropriation - should loyalty to the film take priority? or could the rewrite benefit from something else in place of these things? or some secret third option?

it's a good film, but not without faults. i don't necessarily want to keep the less desirable aspects of it, but i also don't want to sacrifice elements that tie into important character arcs and such.

(just to be clear: i AM taking from the film! the only thing i plan to take from the book is a loose idea of how to break up the chapters. and i'm not even looking at the script)

★ How should this be released to the public?

this is REALLY far in the future so i'm not too worried about it yet haha
