*Spoiler Alert!*

Everyone's got a different theory about how Sonic will react to seeing Amy for the first time. Most Sonamy fans (especially those who are hoping for Reverse Sonamy) are expecting Sonic to be instantly smitten with the brave and pretty hedgehog teen who saved his life. This is a possibility considering Amy is the first girl hedgehog he's ever met and first teen alien girl.

As a result, he either acts all shy and awkward around her like a teen boy with a crush on a girl that he likes. Plus, it could be a play on his early game counterpart running away from Amy, only this time it's because he feels shy and awkward around her and not because he sees her as an annoyance (or acts like he does). I admit it's pretty cute.

There's also the possibility that Sonic acts like a show-off in hopes of impressing Amy. I definitely imagine him looking in like a total dork in the process, which Amy finds cute. I imagine a lot of flirtatious banter going on between them.

One great example is shown in this online dub of @risenhoku's comic:

Another theory given is that perhaps there might not be an instant attraction from Sonic when he meets Amy. One discussion I had with @lucidheart3 hinted that maybe Sonic might be more wary of Amy as his traumatic experience with Shadow probably makes him more suspicious of her and her intentions. I considered the option that maybe he acts annoyed by Amy, and it's Tails and Knuckles who pick up on his growing but still denied attraction to her.

Maybe like @ficsinhistory's theories, perhaps Sonic and Amy's mutual attraction grows as result of mutual understanding and empathy between them and the hardships they've both faced. I find this idea very sweet honestly and believe it could create a stronger connection between the two hedgehog teens.

Honestly, I could see all of theories possibly happening, whether as separate options or all together as a group. Still, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you believe is most likely to happen in Sonic 4.

so because it’s midnight and my brain decides that the perfect time to come up with things, i’m fixating on tails going completely radio silent during his solo adventures just because the idea of sonic having a conversation with amy about what tails is probably going through would be kinda cool idk

anyway here’s a “little” thing i wrote for that conversation:

“tails is a hero, he’s sonic the hedgehog’s partner and little brother. hes a young genius who’s mechanical skills go unmatched by almost everyone. hes the one who stopped eggman from blowing up station square, who’s helped save the world countless times. that’s tails…but i think miles is still that scared little kid who was left behind on west side island all those years ago.

tails grew up surrounded by friends, but miles was alone and i think in being alone again, he’s trying to figure out who miles is. he could be the same person, or he could be someone completely different…

all i know is that we need to be here to welcome miles home just as much as we welcome tails.”

Kit started dating Tails because Surge wanted to pull Sonic's little buddy away from him, and convinced Kit that this was the best way to turn Tails against Sonic.

There was one problem with this, though;

They genuinely fell for each other.

Oh, and Surge definitely doesn't have a crush on Amy, oh, no. what makes you think that? There's no way she loves her, no. She just likes being near Amy.

I like to think that Tails is fully aware of the risks/that Surge and Kit are up to something, but brushes it aside for a chance to actually get him as a friend! (Or more) (He definitely got that befriending people who wants o kill him thing from Sonic)

And Amy was part of the plan too, I’d think. Take Sonic’s friends away and leave him with nothing! Y’know? Her being nice and accepting and welcoming and kind and pleasant and gorgeous and- whatever, was just a bonus… yeah… not like Surge needs that affection and kindness or WANTS it. (Lies)

Plus the fact that they’ve barely felt pure, genuine, kindness and love- without the intent of manipulation, just makes it all the more confusing, and definitely effective.

How do I feel? I LITERALLY NAMED MY BLOG AFTER HER WHAT DO YOU THINK???

How she grows from a scared damsel to someone who will destroy you with a toy for so much as looking wrong at her while still keeping her whimsy and passion (which is enough to trip up the fastest thing on earth).

The way she defeats some of the most powerful people in the series with just the power of her love. Gamma, Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Blaze, even the cold robotic Metal paused for a moment to look at the flower she gave him.

And as for who I ship, who else but who she already ships herself with? Sonic and her are perfect together. I couldn’t ship Amy with anyone else if i tried (Shadamy maybe, but only without Sonic in the picture).

Non Romantic OTPs are definitely Amy and Silver. I loved their dynamic in 06, and hope that they become good friends in the current timeline too! And Cream and Amy of course. They’re the best!

Unpopular opinion? She shouldn’t be a part of Team Sonic. I don’t want her to be “one of the boys”. She is so much more than that. Besides, SA2 already showed how she doesn’t work in one small group, and how her best work happens when she’s not limited to them.

And my wish is that Sega would stop deleting Amy’s personality and exchanging it for girlboss and tarot cards. It feels like they don’t understand her and just want her to be marketable. Don’t get me wrong her beliefs abt destiny and stuff is important to her character, it just feels like big easter egg shaped stickers getting put all over a perfectly good car.
