One of the probable reasons as to why Kaeya didn't arrive on time for Crepus and Diluc when they were attacked was because he, and the knights with him, had no vision, and thus, cannot use a teleport waypoint.

Him receiving his cryo vision when he was supposed to get scorched by Diluc was genuinely the biggest slap to the face given to him by Celestia. It arrived just in time to save HIM.

Even now, the vision only heals and shields him alone as a manifestation of his desire to keep living from that fight... but he can't use it to help others.

Hello again, thanks for doing my last request. I came up with another idea for you to write if you would like to.

It is a Mydei x male reader, where the reader is skinny/out of shape, and Mydei is his trainer or workout coach. It could take place in the same universe, and I imagined a fluff scenario for this.

(Another request 🗣🗣🗣 idk what trainers/coaches do haha let's imagine he's been your trainer for a while now)

"Run! Harder! Just one more lap!"

This must've been the thousandth time Mydei barked right in your ear this week. Your very lungs were dry, there was a cramp in your side, and your breath smelled like blood. You could swear your feeble muscles would give out any second now, but somehow he knew you better than you knew your own body and insisted you continue.

Mydei, your trainer with that Greek (demi)god's body, was jogging lightly to keep up. He wasn't out of breath or sweating beyond the heat of the sun (he texted you several times today to wear sunscreen before coming over).

Ugh.. it hurts..

The moment you stumble and can't muster the strength to catch yourself, Mydei's arms find you before you hit the ground.

"You're done for today. Good job."

Unlike most other days, he hoisted you into his arms (not that it would've been very difficult given his muscles that have proven to be able to lift your weight a hundred times over, or something) and carried you back to the locker room where your non-workout clothes were. It's a good thing he did, because otherwise you would've tripped over yourself with every step, fallen on your face, and passed out in a puddle of sweaty mushy flesh and bones.

"Drink up, and then I'll help you stretch," Mydei says, handing you your bottle.

He'd told you long ago about how hydration wasn't just chugging water and all that, and then lectured you about what to eat and drink after different workouts for the best recovery. It's not like you were going for his build right off the bat (such a goal only leads to disappointment for many, many people) so his focus was on reducing pain after workout. It's the long game, and extreme actions don't lend well to a sustainable new lifestyle.

Mydei proceeded to write up and then give you an entire customized recovery guide the next time you worked out with him, with substitutions for any food allergies/intolerances or strong aversions that you had mentioned, plus accounting for variations to avoid the pressure to eat the exact same thing. A large disclaimer was placed on the first page - "you can ignore all of this and eat what you like as long as you don't starve; it won't kill you, just like regularly eating honeycakes doesn't kill me."

He did, however, go to your place and gently harass you into a light workout whenever you dreaded an intense one and contemplated skipping. If you were feeling down because it seemed like there weren't enough results for the work you were putting in, Mydei would remind you of how long everything takes, how every body needs different things to reach a goal, and how far you'd actually come (he kept records, of course, to brag to you about yourself as needed). Ups and downs were inevitable.

Stretching hurt, but at this point you trusted him not to do something that would screw over some part of your body; a past trainer went a little too hard and it hurt to try to bend or straighten your arms for weeks, but this never happened with him. His regimen started out light and progressively got more intense when he found your limits and started to push them toward your goals. At least you can walk up the many steps to the Okhema bathhouse without wheezing at the top now, right? It's harder for rude people to push you out of the way with your newfound stability as long as you haven't just finished destroying your legs by running for far too long.

"Since you're still looking.. wobbly, I'll cook lunch while you take a bath," he offers with a mildly amused huff.

His observation wasn't wrong. Your entire body was trembling. Every step you took was characterized by your legs vibrating because your muscles didn't have the energy to do anything steadily, which made you look like a newborn foal learning to walk.

Mydei making you lunch was a very, very nice treat. He was ridiculously good at cooking and often cooked for you when he had time after putting you through all of that pain.

When you returned from the bath and quite a bit of muscle massaging, you found him in your kitchen. Everything he made was amazing. Mydei had learned a while ago exactly how much food you could comfortably consume in a post-workout meal and then adjusted the portions he cooked accordingly, never pushing you to eat too much or to starve.

You ate lunch together in a comfortable silence, and then he lectured you a little more just to make sure you remembered what to do to recover properly before leaving you be.

He'll be back tomorrow for a nice walk around town. No running.

My one thing with Ena is I am PETRIFIED it will be killed by the same thing that has killed every indie internet thing that has gotten popular, which is a fandom’s desire for “lore” cannibalizing the media as people obsessively strip it of all meaning by trying to connect all the dots.

Ena presents this amazing insane world that doesn’t make sense at all but you get a sense of the internal logic that somehow governs it. It’s a very very tricky line Joel G walks and I’m amazed he’s able to do it. Dream BBQ, because it’s a game, lets you tug at the thread a little bit but doesn’t let you unravel the mystery, which is neat. Praying they continue to maintain that balance.

So here's how I've been devouring channels lately:

The main thing is that it depends on how many videos it has. If it doesn't have too many, I'll start by watching any one-shots first, then move on to the series. If it has a lot of videos, I start by watching the series first (usually the shortest ones first, but I'll jump around a bit if there's nothing connecting), then move on to the one-shots and any other videos after. In both cases, I always save the most popular series or the series I see everyone talk about last (idk why exactly yet).

Right, now that that random tidbit is out of the way, onto the meat of this thing. 387 VIDEOS. RIGHT THEN. LONG BINGE INDEED.

Ok, overall opinion- writing is great, though I think I need to rewatch the Querian Saga and Space Pirates, those kinda flew over my head a bit, but at least I now understand how Fern's Break of Dawn came about- humor is EXCELLENT, and acting is stellar from everyone that was involved in these- AND great use of music too. And points for making me cry. Very very satisfied with this one...

An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? She's can't get Sasuke, can't imprint on and/or traumabond with him like Naruto and Kakashi do. I like to think that, even after becoming a disassembly drone, V DOES have some amount of bad vision still. It makes her more interesting.

V as a worker drone had bad vision for sure, and worker drones can have bad vision in general and can need corrective lenses (for .. some reason). This is vision in the visors themselves.

The couple times we see through disassembly drones’ vision (N while fighting Uzi in ep 1, N looking for Uzi in ep 4, V while walking down the hallway ahead of N and Uzi in ep 6), they definitely appear to have multiple views they use at once, while workers only have the one. V’s views even show her managing to look ahead of her and to the sides at the same time, so the concept art’s showing DD’s ‘headbands’ functioning at least partially as eyes seems to remain true to at least some extent. If this IS the case, they could feasibly help make up for her visor eyes.

But disassembly drones are also made stupidly to self destruct and drive their hunting- so multiple views ongoing at once could be just another additional process that speeds up overheating. Additionally, V as a DD doesn’t really act on precision compared to the other two- she’s much more likely to just brutally rip apart prey with her claws than she is to shoot, as opposed to what N and J seem to do. V IS violent, of course, but she’s not necessary *better* than the other two - she’s just more likely to be messy and go all out.

It would make narrative sense for V’s blurry vision to be a literal ‘turning a blind eye’ to the carnage she’s causing. V, desperate to do her duties and keep N safe, throws herself into being a Murder Drone. She does her best to act as if this brutality is something she enjoys, that she isn’t hurt by having to keep away from N, that she isn’t hurting him in turn. V was a worker drone, and to at Least some extent, (I’m unclear, personally, on how much she remembered. More than N did, but she might have only recovered All her memories after episode 5, while N only recovered some of his) she surely Knew what she was doing wasn’t exactly ..right.

But what does it matter? Turn off the extra vision, the extra precision- she doesn’t need it. She’s built for this- this is her very purpose, her Only purpose, now. It’s so very easy to blur her world out, not see the look on N’s face when she brushes him off after another so painfully genuine, wholesome, sickly sweet attempt at connection. It’s more efficient this way. Don’t burn the extra oil when she can work just fine without wasting, don’t get distracted. No time to rekindle anything with him, and even if there was, would she even *want to?* That would mean telling him things. Being more honest than she ever wishes to be again. No, no, she doesn’t need to see him. She pretends to not hear the hurt in his voice, either.

The drones she kills are faceless from afar - she doesn’t need perfect vision to lock on a target, to relish the chase, to unsheathe metal claws she’s convinced herself she doesn’t hate, to viciously tear, to hungrily drain the oil that acts as the blood in her own body. They become nothing but moving shapes, part of a quota J insists on, but, more than that, a mission, a game, a challenge, something to keep her mind on.

Then along comes that weird, short little worker that keeps bothering them, planting dangerous ideas in N’s head, who speaks with a snarky voice, with a bright purple visor and matching purple wig. The ‘sad purple one’, ‘that purple thing’. Not a person, not someone to connect with, prey she’s not allowed to kill. She sees nothing more than that, blurred purple hues, a bothersome nature, and more than that, the threat she represents and that she has been trying so hard to stay away from.

So what if this is the first real friend N has had in.. how long has it been now, that V has pretended to not know him, to ignore him, to shut him down? So what if she’s a worker drone, her own person, a fiercely, OBNOXIOUSLY, spirited one at that, despite everything she’s been convincing herself of for years? She’s still something to kill, in the end. Don’t think too hard about it. Don’t turn the extra eyes back on in quiet moments, don’t study their faces in detail, in real clarity, don’t notice the genuine happiness and contentment on N’s face, don’t notice with how much enthusiasm Uzi speaks of some outrageously edgy plan. Don’t think about what she’s missing, what she’s purposely kept from him and herself.

I suppose one can only ignore what you don’t want to acknowledge for so long, though. She ends up with glasses again in the end, and acts with a precision there we never really see again. Loses them instantly, too, but regardless. Get this girl some glasses or prescription goggles or something lol
