i have a headcanon that Yoichi trims AFO's hair because i can't help but compare AFO's nicely trimmed hair to Yoichi's and i thought someone had to have cut AFO's hair for him and it is only logical for me to assume it was Yoichi who did. I think AFO would only trust Yoichi to be so close to him with a sharp object like a pair of scissors lol

I think Yoichi would have also liked cutting his brother's hair at first, because it would make him feel helpful in a way? And I just think even when AFO put him in the vault, AFO would still go there to get his hair trimmed by Yoichi.

and once Yoichi joins the resistance, he offers to do this for Kudo as well.

like i’ve said time and time again, i haven’t watched bbc merlin in years but i was just wondering when the first time merlin called arthur by his name to his face and im scrolling thru the transcripts on the fandom wiki (supposedly it was s1ep4 btw) and im skimming the script for all these episodes and getting angrier and angrier. gaius was wrong for all that. morgana deserved so much better. edwin muirden was valid as hell (for targeting uther AND gaius. yeah. i said it.). also kilgharrah ate with that one lil line “then turn a blind eye. that is, after all, your talent” okay lizard brain pop offff.

lmao fair. and yeah my standing issue for all storylines is how little breathing room the conflicts/resolutions get and how they're either being dropped for other conflicts (like the moment tommy came back and they had that fight i knew we were never ever gonna talk about the breakup again and atp they're never really gonna talk about the eddie insecurity thing either) or getting haphazardly tied up (like really buck and eddie couldn't have 30 seconds to be like "sorry, i know you did everything for bobby" "sorry, i wish you were with us that day" and buck and tommy are fine now i guess? helicopter smile and eyeroll were all we were getting?)

but what i mean about the show's lack of commitment to BT is a bit different. like we had zero insight about how buck felt about tommy leaving him bc the show doesn't care about it like that. the only time we saw him talk about tommy post-breakup was with maddie and that scene was mostly for the show to get nosy with the fandom and address bvddie more than really making a case about how buck feels about tommy/what buck wants. the entire season they felt in this vague plane of existence where the show doesn't wanna really commit to tommy/this relationship being important enough to have buck be explicitly impacted by its demise or mourning it/lashing out about it like he does with losing eddie (like this was a multi-ep part of buck's arc in this season regardless of how well/bad we think it was written) but also they don't wanna make him fully put a stop to it like he did with taylor (or tommy to stick with his decision) bc it's nice to have tommy in their back pocket as a firefighter pilot (and i'd argue also bc the ship war noise online is good for the attention the show gets). like they're not committed to telling any actual story with them, one way or another, you know

getting a little maybe irritated at how often i see autistic will being refuted because he "made himself out to be that way to avoid attention" ... ??? that's autistic. going out of his way to make yourself appear weird and unsociable so you can avoid socializing is. extremely autistic. lying and exaggerating about yourself out of fear of people getting too close and realizing youre a bad person is extremely autistic. the show honestly backpedals on will's empathy half the time, acting like it is only applicable when it comes to his job, but frequently showing that it isn't. in the first episode, hannibal literally notices his face getting red because they're near two people who are arguing. he's not exaggerating or faking his nightmares, his inability to deattach himself from others. yeah, he's got a complicated psychological profile that autism doesn't entirely cover or explain. that doesn't mean he's not still autistic. his person suit, the person he presents himself as to others, the choice to do that autistic masking. even if part of his masking is hiding behind being autistic in hopes it will make him less favorable to others and not further inspected, that is autistic masking. i think it is so insanely annoying that just because a character wasn't written with the intent in mind doesnt mean you cant accidentally write a valid representation of something anyways. fuller didn't intend on hannigram becoming as romantic as it did, but understood that it came along with the subtext anyways. acting like hes completely above fitting criteria of mental illness because he's "fictional" and has a "fictional" disorder that HIGHLY exemplifies autism is. incredibly stupid. and boring

i'm sooooo starved for Smeech content/headcanons/fics/etcetcetc in this fandom, like he is such an enigma of a creature to me (affectionate as I shove him into a microwave). He's a Yordle so he might have been around in Zaun for centuries, ever since its foundation. Maybe he's seen first hand how Piltover's pet Heimerdinger rises to the top, and yet spends his time as a councelor ignoring every single problem in Zaun. Heck I can totally see him resenting Heimerdinger to a murderous degree for that; a Yordle traitor who gets a nice academic status for himself and builds his glorious city of progress, but never uses all that power to help the other Yordles in Zaun. (I didn't even spot a single Yordle in Piltover while scavenging the backgrounds on my rewatches!!)

Considering how new Shimmer is in the series' universe by Yordle lifespan standards, that means Smeech hasn't been inhaling it for more than a bunch of years. What was his life before?? When did he decide to start replacing his limbs with machinery, to make himself stronger and feared by Zaunites? When did he become a chembaron?? Chemtech is older than Shimmer, so he might have been a cyborg way before the events of the series, but it's fascinating (and sad, not gonna lie) to me that despite being possibly older than any of the other authority figures in Zaun, he has never managed to rise to Heimerdinger's level. No wonder he's such a rage-filled poisonous critter, no wonder he wants to take the throne of Zaun at any cost, to be "the one smiling in the end". And yet, despite all of his efforts, he is still fueled by and addicted to Shimmer, created by Silco's goons. Forced to depend on a creation of humans, in his pursuit to become stronger than them.

(also while I'm not a fan of episode 7's happy AU universe cuz it all feels like simplifying and undermining the complexity of Piltover's oppression in favor of an easy good ending, it DOES make me wonder how Smeech's life would have turned out in a universe without Shimmer? We don't see any of the Chembarons in the ep 7 universe so it makes me curious)

There's a certain level of cruel irony in possessing a logical mind but still experiencing emotions.

I *know* as a matter of fact whatever I'm feeling is deeply irrational and that there's plenty of evidence actively disputing these thoughts. Won't stop me from feeling that way though.
