In Arkham they don't allow outside media in fear of the rouges getting any ideas. This leads to them treating the staff like their own personal TV show, this leads to a level of parasocial obsession that can often be detrimental (See Harley Quinn as a notable example). So when DR. Jazz Fenton comes in with subtle hinting of government conspiracies and a 'i've seen worse' attitude they are INVESTED. Meany of them are staying just for the show, their plans can wait they NEED to know this woman's backstory.

I wish people understood more that animals go through puberty just like people do, and that "teen" animals will have new and often unpleasant behaviors as they grow and try and figure out their place in the world.

Many of the animals I see being rehomed are right at the one to two year old mark, when maturity is still an ongoing process and their behaviors get more intense. Be patient with them! They DO grow out of it!

Aster was a holy terror until he was almost 3 and now he's the best cat I've ever owned. If you can't deal with these changes, adopt a mature animal instead of getting a puppy or kitten, because it's more likely than not they will have a turbulent teen phase.

#currently navigating that with Tuunbaq who is just shy of a year old now #his breed is slow to mature too so I have probably another year and a half to two years of him being kind of a dick #i know its hard but you signed up for the responsibility #unless the situation is becoming dangerous im of the opinion that patience is a virtue

Eddie does believe Dustin when he says that he knows Steve. He’s sure the kid ran into him at Wheeler’s house when Steve was dating his sister.

He doesn’t believe that they’re friends. He believes even less that Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington thinks of Dustin like ‘a brother.’

But then one day, he’s roaming the racks at the music shop looking for any new heavy metal albums. Dustin’s not even there. Eddie is talking to Jeff when he mentions that Henderson said something about a new pet.

“A pet?” Steve asks, appearing out of nowhere like he’d been summoned. “Dustin Henderson said he got a new pet? Dustin? Loud kid with curly hair? That Dustin?”

“Um…?”

“Does he still have his old pet?” Steve asks. “Tews is still alive?”

“You know the name of his cat?”

“Jesus,” Steve‘s not even talking to him anymore. He calls over to a girl clearly being interviewed by the manager, “Hey, Robin! I got to go. Dustin’s tryin’ to start the apocalypse again. Can you do my interview for me?”

“Yeah,” She calls back. “No problem!”

Steve turns back to Eddie with his big eyes and intense eye contact, covers his hand with one of his for the briefest of seconds and says, “Thank you.”

Then he’s gone, and Eddie’s heart is pounding, and he’s just… “All that because Dustin got another cat?”

Danny always hated Vlad’s attempts to forcibly adopt him, but honestly at the moment he found himself wishing he could go back to them.

Because at least he wasn’t blood related to that fruitloop. Unlike his newest problem.

Oh yeah, it turns out after that whole series of fights with Vlad about him being “Jack’s son”, Jack wasn’t even his actual biological father. Vlad had never known it (despite literally cloning him??), but Danny had been adopted by the Fentons when he was still very young.

And if that’s where things ended, he’d have been fine with that realization. The Fentons are still his family, blood or not. He doesn’t have any issue with that part.

But it turns out his biological father was another creepy rich fruitloop who somehow suddenly found out about Danny and now wants to force his way into his life. A fruitloop that’s even richer and evidently also better at being subtle than Vlad.

Bruce Wayne.

Yeah. He’d never thought he’d use the word “subtle” to describe Gotham’s ditzy playboy, but evidently the man was hiding a lot behind his dumb smile. If not for Tucker’s hacking ability and his own experience with being Phantom, he’d never have even noticed he was being spied on.

But he did notice, and now he’s been barely functioning from the anxiety. They must be planning something, but what? Are they going to try to hurt his family? Blackmail them? Do they believe the GIW’s lies? What if they find out about his powers? Can he even do anything to fight back without Bruce using his money to ruin their lives?

#on the bat side - they can tell danny is scared of something and his grades have dropped and he’s been hurt/absent more often recently #which combined with his parents’ chaos is not a great look (they don’t know he’s a vigilante and the fear is of *them* not his parents)#so they think they should remove him from Amity for his own safety #(plus also there’s the whole ghost attack situation as another danger)#yeah Bruce isn’t a bad person and Danny could probably just explain his feelings and ask Bruce to leave him alone and he would #but *Danny doesn’t know that*#all he knows is that Bruce is spying on him and is rich enough to ruin their family if he wants to #so Danny is (somewhat justifiably) very afraid of doing anything that might anger them #dp x dc #dpxdc #dc x dp #dcxdp #danny phantom x dc #danny phantom x dc crossover #bruce wayne is danny’s bio father #misunderstandings #good fenton parents

It's something he didn't have - so he gives it.#WWX on the other hand has been *so* defined by his drive to indulge. And here he is the restrictor!#It takes a bit more to see what's going on here. The factors are not singular.#but to keep it in theme with LWJ; I'd propose it is partly his way of establishing structure when he did not have it as a child.#Both approches are a way of saying 'I didn't have this and I wish I did.'#With LWJ it's pretty obvious why...but WWX?
