DAY 27- NORTH LOMEI LABYRINTH ISLAND
I can’t believe Purah finally gave them more of the main quest (Purah’s defense is it’s hard to herd our heroes when they hold the collective brain cell of a bag of cats.)
This totk au is called familiar familiar! It’s a what if zelda doesnt go back in time and draws from elements in botw a lot more then from its source material. Flourish with me.

So, with the last drawing I posted on mind, I feel like with no power bracelets on, wind:
Could definitely carry: four
Could probably carry (but struggle a little): hyrule & legend
Also could probably carry (but really struggle): wild
Could carry for like 2 steps: sky & wars
Couldn't be able to even budge him no matter how hard he tries: twilight
Wouldn't even attempt to try: time

thinking about the inevitability of botw.... idk, there's something about how calamity ganon was only able to be defeated after he pretty much won. the champions all lost, and DIED the first time around. they were not set up for success. the calamity was a perfect storm - everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. the guardians and divine beasts were taken over by malice and turned against the kingdom. the champions all faced blights specifically designed to ensure their deaths. the hero fell trying to keep the princess safe. the kingdom fell into disrepair after the princess sealed herself away with calamity ganon to protect what remained. but after link woke up, freed the divine beasts... only then did they win against the calamity. it sort of feels like the calamity HAD to happen in order for it to be defeated.
and again, in a way, this led to the events of totk. because ganondorf CREATED calamity ganon. and it didnt take anything at all for him to wake up again. link and zelda just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ok só i learned How to emulate the switch in order to play echoes of wisdom and i swear the people who Said that "Zelda should have kept the sword" or that "Zelda should have a sword or a bow" have never used bind in their entire playtrought

i'll be honest, playing totk and eow utterly killed my patience for the shrines in botw. doing the same thing over and over and over again really takes the shine off and ultrahand really reveals the jank in magnesis

Finally finished Tears of the Kingdom two years after it came out (yeah yeah I know) which means it’s now time to start actually planning and writing the OC fanfic for the story I came up with literally back when Breath of the Wild came out.

we replaced our non-functioning wii-u for christmas and I've been meaning to restart botw but it's just been easier to not get the system out and set it up because our TV table situation is not exactly suitable for leaving games out and connected, but the wifi went out a couple of hours ago and I was bored enough to make it worth it, so! finally! played a real video game again for the first time in a long time

Day 26- Lanayru Mountain
Perhaps dragon song sounds familiar. No matter; it’s time to get to business.
On that note, magnesis is reacquired! Purah’s still working on the other glyphs.
(“We’ll find a cure by the end of this year, I promise.”
“I hope we do, Mimi. I really, really hope we do.”)
((This is a totk au called familiar familiar! Zelda doesn’t go back in time, history is forever changed, and link is beset by ghost memories from his magic arm as per usual.))

writing the isat botw au and its. a little revealing. that i just know the entirety of the great plateau by heart.
#my post#yeah. link wakes up gets the slate gets clothes climbs a small cliff and then is struck by the beauty of the world#and then he walks down a hill and talks to the old man and wanders and then goes to the tower#'Please watch for falling rocks.' and then while hes up there zelda tells him about calamity ganon and its been 100 years#and then the old man appears from nowhere and teaches you how to use the scope and not splat on the ground#and then link goes and doesnt splat on the ground. then the old man taunts him with the paraglider and asks him to get treasure#so link does the magnesis shrine. and then is taunted with the paraglider some more#then off to stasis. on the way is the old mans hut (and a lynel in ur in master mode) and he teaches you how to chop down trees#also you can read his diary and you can make a spicy meat and seafood dish to trade for the warm doublet#but its easier honestly to make warm food right before the cold and then go to his grave and get the doublet there#anyways u scale a cliff and do stasis. then WAIT I FORGOT ABT BOMBS. thats on the way to the old mans hut and its got guardians but you can#avoid them pretty easily by going around back the ruins along the cliff#itll probably be turning night when u get there and there are stalkoblins right in front of the shrine but theyre fine#anyways stasis. after stasis u go east to the doublet and cryonis#then the old man has you go to the temple of time and u climb up it and get the paraglider and the KING RHOAM BOSPHORAMUS HYRULE????? reveal#and he tells link u died protecting zelda and also go to kakariko and talk to impa#tadaa!! thats embarrassing. figuratively. im actually quite proud of that hvhfnjv#i also know the trip to kakariko but in less detail and i dont usually pay much attention to what impa says bc i know the plot of the game

Is there a good way to start this off? Or a safe one?
Hmm... I could hit it with this metal box.
Sure.

Oh yes BOTW Link absolutely has percussionist vibes. Imagine him sometimes jamming for a bit with the Stable Trotters, or amusing the Hateno Schoolkids with his newfound Korok dance moves!
Just generally traveling Hyrule and doin’ some dances.
I’ve seen some posts where people say that because BotW Link doesn’t play an instrument like every other Link, Kass should teach him the accordion. This is good and all, but we are overlooking an even better idea: Hestu teaching Link to play the maracas
