Slashers seeing their s/o in a self-made pârn (Pt.1)
Characters include:
Jason Voorhees, Thomas Hewitt, Michael Myers,
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
â¨im backâ¨
this is not edited whatsoever
TW: NSFW, descriptions of sexual acts, masturbation, voyeurism, Micheal being Micheal
Jason Voorhees:
Oh boy
His view on sex is so skewed from his childhood, finding out you recorded a video of yourself in any way sexual has him so deeply confused
Honestly, he probably found it on your phone searching for something completely innocent in your camera roll
You only made the one video (he looked for others)
He takes your phone into the woods and privately watches the entire video
He's wounded at first - why would you do something like this? You seemed so innocent, nothing like the type of person he pictured would make this content
He starts to blush when your body straddles a pillow within frame of your poorly propped up phone
The sounds you make while humping the pillow has his free hand clenching tight at his side
He's careful with the volume, holding the phone close to his ear to listen to your whimpers then pulling the device down and rewinding so he can watch the video with the noises still fresh in his mind
Poor guy is so hard by the time the video is done
It would be wrong to touch himself to a dirty video of you, so he resists the heat between his legs and returns your phone, trying his best to play it cool like he didn't just watch you hump a pillow until you orgasmed
He won't mention it at all
Sometimes, he might make up an excuse to borrow your phone to watch it every now and then
Thomas Hewitt:
Similarly to Jason, his view on sex is skewed from childhood
He was taught that sex should be private and sacred and only after marriage
But masturbation? He's more confused about where that stands
Again, he would probably stumble across the video by accident
You left your phone open on your bed while you went to take a shower and he got curious
As soon as he realizes what the video is, he's hurrying to the basement as quick but non-suspiciously as possible
He locks the basement door- not that anyone, yourself included, goes down here often. It's just in case...
He sits down in a creaky wooden chair and pulls out your phone
Still unlocked, he finds the video again
He's exhilarated and oh so nervous as he watches your legs spread and your hands wander
He gets so hard at the sight of you so open and relaxed, touching yourself
Your first loud moan startles him, rushing to turn down the volume only he could hear
He knows it's wrong to touch himself to a video of you, but- oh god- you make it so difficult for him
He can't help it. He caves three minutes and seventeen seconds in when your legs shake and you make a sound that sends him over the edge
By the time he's finished, he's committed the entire video to memory from how much he has rewatched it to be able to finish in his own hand
He will return your phone to the spot on the bed he found it before your shower is done
He finds out your passcode later by looking over your shoulder, filing the information away so he can watch the video anytime he gets the opportunity
Michael Myers:
This guy steals your phone on the regular
It goes missing for days at a time, and you know it's him who takes it, though you can never get him to own up to it (or find where he hides it)
When he's snooping through your phone, he comes across a certain video of you getting intimate with a toy
He watches the entire thing (on repeat)
He doesn't care if your right in front of him, or sitting beside him, or out of the house- he's watching the entire thing shamelessly
Head tilts at the sounds you make
He turns the volume to max so he can hear every hitched breath and soft noise you make
He goes through your stuff, finding that particular toy (if you still have it) or something similar to it
He will bend you over into the same position as the video and use what he found to fuck you until your a mess with the video playing in front of you
Call it his way of getting back at you for using the toy and not him ;p

Miguel taking his daughter to spider HQ?

Miguel takes his daughter to HQ! How bad could it be?
â my brain is brewing with words
â fem reader!!
â send more ideas cuz my brain is in writing mode rn hehe
â oh miguel is also lil grumpy here bc why not
â ok thats all!! :p
Miguel is very hesitant to bring you to HQ. He doesnât want to have you near harm's way. Plus, there would be nothing for you to do there so whatâs the point?
Though, youâre persistent and didnât take his no for an answer.
He eventually gave in when you roped Lyla into it. He couldnât deal with two annoyances at once. (He means it endearingly)
So, he brings you to HQâagainst his will
Your eyes sparkled with amazement as you took in the place. The area was huge. âThis place is so cool!â You marveled. You look over to Miguel, beaming brightly. âThis is awesome!â You whispered and yelled, your attention going back to the Spider-People who swung and walked by. Miguel shook his head in amusement, a smile pulling to his lips. As you continued to wander off, he noticed you were walking a little close to the edge. âCuidado!â His webs shoot around your waist as you near the edge. He pulls you into his chest, letting out a relieved sigh. âYou have to be careful when youâre walking around here.â Heâs following you like a hawk after that.
Since itâs your first time there, everyone jumps to the assumption that youâre another Spider-Woman who Miguel or Jess recruited.
Miguel is quick to squander those ideas. He informs them that youâre his daughter and heâs showing you the place.
They all have to take a moment. Theyâre all like, âWhat? Miguel has a daughter?â
When they ask why he never told them, he responds by saying; âYou never asked.â
âThatâs your daughter?â Peter B. Parker was gagged. He couldnât comprehend the fact that Miguel had a daughter. âHow come you never talked about her?!â His eyes are blown wide and his jaw is slack. Like, Miguel OâHara has a daughter?! âI do. You just donât listen.â He grumbled out, sending an icy glare to Peter. Miguel does talk about you, it just gets overshadowed by how much Peter talks about Mayday. âWhat? When!?â Peter sputters out. âAll the time.â You roll your eyes at Miguelâs cold behavior. âPapi, donât be mean.â Miguelâs pinched expression visibly softens at your words, right when Miguel is about to apologize, Peter turns over to you excitedly. âDo you want to meet my daughter?â Miguel lets out a long sigh. âMayday would love to meet you!â Peter grins. âSpeaking of the little devil, where is she?â He looks around, lips downturned into a frown. He cups his hands around his mouth. âMayday!â Another sigh leaves Miguelâs lips. âMayday, honey! Where are you?â Miguel takes this opportunity to grab your shoulder and walk away from Peter. Once heâs far enough, he gives you a tense smile. âOh, there you guys are! For a second I thought you ran away from me.â Peter swings right next to Miguel, Mayday sitting comfortably in her baby carrier. The smile on Miguelâs face drops. âAnyways, meet Mayday!â
Miguel dreads the moment when you have to meet Gwen, Miles, Pav, and Hobie. They always bug him about you, wondering when heâll bring you over.
Theyâve seen him see videos of you and him on his little holograms as he worked, he isnât secretive about you.
Plus, whenever he gets the chance to talk about you, he doesnât hesitate to start blabbering.
So they know pretty much almost everything about you.
Blame Miguel
âMiigueel,â Gwen dragged out his name teasingly as she swung in front of you and Miguel. âIs this who we think it is!â Pavitr was brimming with excitement as he dropped right next to Gwen. âIs this Miguelâs daughter?â Hobie raised a brow as he leaned an arm on Pavâs shoulder. âAbout time we meet her!â Miles smiled, giving you a friendly wave. You wave back, chuckling to yourself. Miguel dragged a hand down his face as he groaned dramatically loud. âEstos son los imbĂŠciles de los que te sigo hablando.â Miles' face dropped to an offended look. âReally?â Miles says. Hobie furrowed his brows. âWhat did he say?â He looked over to Miles in confusion. Pavitr shrugged. âI donât know but I donât think it was a good thing.â
The whole tour was a headache for Miguel. He couldnât stay in one place without Gwen offering a new place to head to, or Hobie asking questions on how you manage to have a dad like Miguel.
Pav was adding his commentary to certain situations which drove Miguel up the wall. Miles was trying to strike up a conversation with you, trying to impress you by speaking in Spanish.
Then Peter came along and the whole thing fell into chaos
âHold Mayday real quickly. I need to take a picture of you two!â Peter handed you Mayday and she fumbled in your hands until you managed to rest her on your side. âPicture? Can I join!â Pavitr jumped right next to you, striking a dashing smile as he struck a pose. Miles and Gwen swarmed in the photo, settling around you and posing. Gwen did a peace sign while Miles did bunny ears on Gwen. Hobie lazily smiled, body halfway into the frame. âHobie, get your whole body in the photo!â Peter motioned Hobie to move into the frame. âI donât wanna.â Hobie shrugged. Peter sighed and let him be, gleefully saying âCheese!â as he snapped a few photos. âOh, MJ is gonna love this!â Peter mumbled to himself. Mayday looked up at you, cutely babbling in her baby language. Her chubby arm grappled onto your shoulder and pulled herself up with her inhuman baby strength. âOh! Peter, sheâs climbing on me!â You watch in horror as she settles on your shoulder, only to fall back and luckily get caught by Miguel. âOh, donât worry. She does that.â Peter waves it off, eyes glued on the photos. âPor Dios,â Miguel murmured under his breath.
When you got home, Miguel swore to himself that heâd never bring you back over there.
You went back to HQ a day later.

youtube
youtube
CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE PATREON PAGE!
Oh...my...GOD!!! I can't believe this is actually happening....
After 3 years of hard work, I am here to welcome everyone to:
The Sims 4 Amber House Pack!
It's time to create your own mission style dream house, with this collection of 345 brand new and hella cool build/buy mode items, inspired by Dontnod's "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" game.
EARLY ACCESS: You can get the pack right now, on my PATREON on the 3-5$ tiers, or wait for the 12th of May for the public release!
Please read EVERYTHINGÂ included in the post as it contains useful information about the pack!
DISCLAIMER: Simsi45 or The Sims 4 Amber House Pack is NOT affiliated or associated with Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Deck Nine or Dontnod in ANY way. This is a purely fanmade pack made by me, a fan of both games that wanted to get the best of both worlds.
FEATURES:
345 new items (including sofas, tables, decor, windows, doors and much much more!)
Search for "amberhouse", "lis", "simsi45" to find most of the items in the build/buy catalog.
Custom original names and descriptions. (the best I could come up with :P)
Tons of custom recolors (based on original textures) to mix and match items more easily.
Heavy modification on original meshes and textures, including english text turned into simlish.
 Everything has been playtested thoroughly.
Included are a couple of easter egg items from The Sims 2 that I thought fit the theme well.
New lot I made showcased in the trailer and pics (found in the gallery under my tag @simsi45_mods) a recreation of Rachel Amber's house.
LOT INSTALLATION:
Included in the pack is the lot recreation of the Amber House that's featured in the pictures and videos.
You can get the lot by:
Using the gallery. Make a search under my EA id: @simsi45_mods and download the lot as usual. I've included customized pictures to identify my own lot more easily. Make sure you have the "enable custom content"Â tag ENABLEDÂ for the lot to show up in the results.
If you have difficulties using the gallery you can download the lot tray files from the bottom of the post, and move them inside your own tray folder. This can be found in your documents/electronic arts/the sims 4/ tray folder. This way you can install the lot without the need of the gallery.
NOTES:
~ The pack is in an EARLY-ACCESS STATE! I have dedicated a lot of time to test everything but I'm a team of just a single person. If you find any issues please let me know so I can take a look.
~ Because of the amount of items the size of the pack is quite big. I tried my best to make everything as compact as possible with the final size being 1.5 GBÂ of required free space.Â
~ The majority of the meshes and textures of these items are ripped straight from the LIS: Before the Storm game, and then each individual item (both mesh and textures) has been heavily modified and edited to fit and function properly within the Sims 4 game's engine. That's why some items will look identical to the original game, some look somewhat different, and some are brand new meshes I made using the original items.
~ Some of the original ripped meshes' poly counts were WAY too high so I had to lower the polygons so The Sims 4 wouldn't explode when filling a lot with them. I lowered the polygons and edited most of the items as much as possible without compromising their original look too much. In other words I tried to find the best balance between looks and performance and after lots of testing on my moderate PC system, I can confirm the game runs super smoothly on my end.Â
BACKSTORY ABOUT THE PACK (no spoilers):
This pack started with an idea I got back in 2017 when I first played Life Is Strange Before The Storm. When visiting the Amber house, I immediately fell in love with it as I am huge fan of the craftsman architectural style, it's literally all I'd want my dream house to be. The art team has done an incredible job on it, and as I personally find the art style of the Life is Strange series and The Sims 4 to fit very well with each other, I wanted to make these assets available for The Sims 4. Of course back then this all seemed impossible, however a few years later in 2020 during quarantine I revisited the idea as it had been stuck on my wishlist ever since.
To make a long story short, this project has been in the works for about 3 years now, and after a lot of hard work, head scratching and quite a few sleepless nights I managed to overcome all the obstacles I came across (which were a lot mind you) and I'm honestly hoping you'll be as pleased with the results as I am. Seriously this exceeded my expectations as it started as a small little pack for my personal use, to what I'd consider an expansion pack's (or even more) worth of build/buy content.
INSTALLATION:
Due to the size of the pack I had to split it up into multiple parts. You will need a .RAR extractor unpack it. More specifically:
1 -> Download ALL 6 parts of the pack and put them ALL in the same folder. 2 -> Right click the 1st part .RAR file named "Simsi45 - The Sims 4 Amber House Pack.part1" and click "Extract Here"  3 -> Once that's finished a package file will appear, this is the entire pack and you can now move that into The Sims 4/Mods. Simple as that!
CREDITS & THANKS:
~Dontnod, Square Enix, Deck Nine for the original meshes & textures ripped from Life is Strange: Before the Storm that were used to create most of the items.
~EAÂ for some meshes & textures used to convert some items from The Sims 2.
Special thank you to all the patreon members that stuck with me throughout me developing the pack. Although not many I really appreciate every single one of you for the support you've given me and for sticking around!

See No Anvil, Hear No Anvil, Speak No Anvil
(page 1737-1754)
In summary: Rose and John almost meet in person (again), fail to actually meet, and exchange animal companions. I have always loved seeing Vodka Mutini In Places and hunting him down in a lot of the Rose panels (sometimes he is there and SO small) and now I get to do that with Johnâs. The real goal of Sburb is to pass this adorable kitten between all four kids so he can go on adventures. Look, they are both having so much fun up there ^
Less importantly, Dave has added all the upgrades to Roseâs alchemiter, which was cool of him, and allows John to make FEAR NO ANVIL, a weapon Davesprite gave him the code for. John is the hammerkind guy, but with its red/orange color scheme and ticking clock hands, this is clearly a Dave-coded hammer. Dave and John have matching suits, matching internet glasses, and already exchanged matching movie prop gifts, so my guess is that John will one day find a blue wind-based sword (half-sword?) that he can give to Dave. Anyway, I love cogs and gears, and one time I saw one of those videos where they open up a watch and clean all the tiny parts inside of it which was immensely satisfying, so I like this weapon design a lot.
Davesprite continues to be evasive and not give straight answers, despite his promise to Dave (p.1658). He doesnât give much information about the hammerâs abilities, Hephaestus, or how he actually got the weapon. Hephaestus of course is Daveâs web browser, seen way back on page 323 â a jet black, vaguely humanoid shape surrounded by flames â and we see his desktop again literally one page after Davesprite mentions the name. I think this is unnecessary for a lot of readers, as fans are regularly hunting through the archives and would have made this connection pretty quickly, but maybe this along with the recap is an attempt at making Homestuck easier for casual readers to follow. This also isnât the first weâve seen of web browsers made physical; Grandpa Harley has Johnâs browser Typheus (p.24) blocking the transportalizer in his house, much to Jadeâs annoyance (p.857). So, I imagine at some point weâll hear from Roseâs browser Cetus (p.239) and Jadeâs browser Echidna (p.825). Though if one of them is based on Internet Explorer, maybe theyâll be super slow and easy to kill.
In case I havenât said it before: the Firefox is my best friend, and I would never fight them. I would thank them for their service and give them berries and rats to eat.
Just like dream Jade, dream Daveâs computer corresponds with his waking one. But without a dreambot, heâs unable to affect the waking world â so canât message John and tell him to wait â he can only watch. Rose is immediately like âgoodbye, Iâm going to hang out with my other friendâ and ends the sleepover early, and is impressively unsurprised by the appearance of a salamander in her bedroom. I guess this renaming/re-gendering of Viceroy Bubbles von Salamancer is the payoff for John wondering about salamander gender earlier, and hey, I could argue this is the first canonically trans character in Homestuck. John and Rose are both excellent at silly pet names, and when theyâre older their job should be naming all the pets on Petfinder.
I am so glad John did a prank here. Heâs always talking about how much he loves pranks, but hardly ever attempts them. I guess he doesnât have many people who he can prank in person, and probably lost a lot of prank confidence trying to go up against his dad: âLooks like DAD will enjoy the prankster's gambit on that exchange, as is usually the caseâ (p.92). Here, John is both successful in pranking Rose, and his prank is very kind. A meaner prank would have been to unwrap all the Gushers so that Rose had hundreds of tiny, sticky candies in her room that would burst under her feet and be basically inedible. Here theyâre still in their packets, plus theyâre a healing item in Sburb, so John is giving Rose a present in prank gift wrap. âthoughtful but mischievousâ (p.1749) is exactly correct.
It is unsurprising I guess that John and Rose miss each other, as I donât think this would be the most impactful moment for them to meet. I am calling it now that weâre gonna get meetings between all of the guardians before we get them between any of the (waking) kids, and that the kids wonât meet in person until they reach Skaia.
Finally, we get a glimpse of the trollsâ transtemporal chat client, Trollian. Itâs fairly simple, with a timeline and direction for each of the four kids. Presumably, the gray bar turns to black when the corresponding kid enters the Medium, as GA is messaging Rose right after Daveâs entry. According to this, the gap between John and Roseâs entry was smallest, the gap between Rose and Daveâs entry is a little longer (we know this was four and a half to five hours), and the gap between Dave and Jade is longer still. Though this means very little in a story that jumps around in time so much.
The trolls can also scroll backwards, presumably to when the kids first installed Pesterchum, or forwards into the future. From the position of the scrollbar, thereâs more time forwards than backwards, indicating a long future for the kids even after their accelerated Sburb session. Itâs understandable that the trolls focus on this period of time because itâs the one that impacts them, but surely one of them is a little curious about the kidsâ far future? Where do they end up after all of this? Iâve never wished a page was interactive more than this one.
Finally, thereâs a ChumpRoll, listing the kidsâ usernames (including both of Johnâs), and a viewport, through which the trolls can see the kid (or perhaps their computer). Every time I think âsurely these kids are being surveilled enough?â the story adds another layer of surveillance â the reader, Sburb server players, exiles, Jack Noir, AH, dream server players, and now trolls â putting them in an absolute nightmare of being inescapably watched. On a totally unrelated note I was telling a friend of mine about Homestuck a while back, and three months later their social media still recommends them Homestuck content, even though itâs something theyâve never explored outside of our conversations. So yeah, I think this theme is an incredibly accurate commentary about the internet.
Overall, these pages were definitely a simpler update, with no long Pesterlogs or major plot development, but they canât all be life changing. It is still wonderful to get a few pages every day, and Iâm certain something exciting will happen soon â I have my fingers crossed for the next in Rose and GAâs sequence of conversations.
#homestuck#reaction#(walks into bank) id like to borrow two dollars. the circus is in town#ok the banker is not coming with me but i AM going to the circus tonight it IS in town#i gotta do more clown research i gotta deepen my understanding of the egbert family#also ive never been before! it actually was a cheap ticket and i think it will be a fun evening!#chrono

what's your opinion on pop culture witchcraft? i think it seems really fun and cool im just not sure how exactly a fictional god will manifest in the "real" world? i was just curious on what you thought :p thank you for your time!
I think that pop culture witchcraft is beautiful and sacred and I think more people should get into it!
My views on the intersection of popular culture (aka, the dominant cultural beliefs and creations at this moment in time) and witchcraft originate from the fact that when I began doing a lot of energy work, I saw a lot of stuff as video game characters & assets.
If I would binge any video game, for the next little while, a lot of my energy readings would be output in the symbols and lore from that game.
E.g., a pokemon binge, seeing Gengar near the querent: "Yes, you're being haunted by a ghost."
A DAO binge, seeing a dryad writing a letter to the querent: "A tree wants to talk to you."
These experiences have deeply influenced my beliefs on the nature of psychism, communing with the spirit world, and divination as a whole. It has inspired my beliefs on how to work with divinatory tools, especially my concepts of choosing your own symbol sets to work with.
After all, an upright triangle is so abstract, but a charmander? For many of us, that is a deeply rooted symbol of fire indeed! And I can't imagine how a triangle might act if it needs to be revived and balanced in my life, but I can surely visualize a charmander feeling sick and cold, or desperately trying to stack and balance heavy boxes.
This inspired me to consider the intersection of popular culture and the experiential nature of witchcraft. After all, aren't so many of us deeply imprinted on and influenced by what culture has told us about magic and spirits? Where is the line in the sand between how culture makes us interact with magic (path), and how culture makes us interact with magic (practice)?
Let me tell you a story!!
There is some internet monster named Momo. Momo has a *very* scary face (to me at least) so be warned if you google.
But when this story starts, I had never heard of Momo. I had never seen a picture of Momo or heard her name. Yes? Yes.
Now one time, I was doing an energy reading for a person, and I saw a horrifying monster woman with huge eyes and a twisted smile like a V slashed across her face, and not only this, but the horrifying monster woman was standing over the querent's bed, watching them sleep.
As a reader with about an ounce of wisdom, I knew much better than to say, "hey, a horrifying monster is watching you while you sleep." Because that is a dick thing to say to anyone.
As I continued watching to try and gain more information, it struck me that this monster woman wasn't threatening at all. She didn't have bad vibes. In fact she seemed neutral, or perhaps even an ally. She was just watching the person sleep.
I couldn't help but notice, however, that I could see her face so clearly. So distinctly. So I googled something like, "big smile scary woman face."
And there she was: Momo! The exact monster I was seeing. It was a startling moment, made all the more strange by the fact that this wasn't some monster of mythical lore or legend. It was like, a TikTok trend or something.
Finally I had to tell the querent something. Now y'all this happened some years ago and I don't remember exactly how it went down, but it was like this:
"Hey, someone is watching you sleep. The form is scary looking but they don't seem threatening at all. I googled it and it looks exactly like an internet urban legend named Momo."
"What? My cat?"
"No, it's a woman, an urban legend named Momo."
"No, my cat Momo. My cat is named Momo. She watches me while I sleep."
So to answer your question, Anon:
I expect that a fictional god can manifest at least as bizarrely as a real cat, I believe that the simple phrase "real world" is an artifact that fits into few reliquaries of the occult, and I think that pop culture witchcraft is absolutely fabulous.

It's may be an odd question but do you think you could maybe post a couple tips of anatomy and/or proportion that helped you sometime? I notice I have a hard time learning from videos or guides, but sometimes when I learn on my own or hear someone else's personal experience it just clicks and it's nice.
I know this may sound strange, but for me it was a class I took with Matt Faulkner, who had a very refreshing approach to mark making and drawing from life. We did have a live model, and drawing people from life teaches you two important things that books cannot: textbook anatomy is idealized, not everybody will look like that and foreshortening and perspective are things that are easier to see in person (at least, for me they were).
As you draw things like that over and over, you will build a mental library that will help you draw those tougher perspectives from imagination. I still use a reference, because the human body can bend and distort in a lot of ways and I am nowhere near having all of that memorized, and WE DONâT HAVE TO! If it gets committed to memory, great! But artists should never feel shame from using a reference because that is how we learn and that is how we improve. Even professionals use a reference.
The mark making that Matt taught us was a little different than some of the other classes I had been through in the past. I typically would draw a human with basic shapes and a âwire-frameâ skeleton for my foundational rough sketch, but Matt would have us start drawing our figures with different lines. Contour lines, is just drawing the outside of what youâre observing, while periodically flashing your eyes at the paper. Blind contour would have us looking only at our subject and drawing what we were seeing without ever picking up the pencil (some of these actually turn out pretty cool).
Volumetric drawing was the one that I had never come across before. Matt uses a lot of crosshatching and volume lines in his work. See the below example:

The way this applies to anatomy is that his way of volumetric drawing is helpful in finding the space that your figure takes up. Sometimes Matt would have us draw our figure with ONLY volumetric lines. It would look like a tornado person, but this practice wasnât to make something visually appealing, it was to help us train our brain and our eyes to see the volume. In that volumetric study we would be wrapping lines in a width and curvature that followed the subject. Here is a visual example of a volumetric drawing by Monika Zagrobelna that shows what I mean:

The volumetric drawing helps to grasp how much space something takes up, whereas the wire-frame doesnât really convey that kind of information. A lot of people reference the Andrew Loomis books and Figure Drawing For All Itâs Worth [ISBN: 978-0857680983] is a good resource to learn from. But Loomis does idealize the standard figures in his works and books. I am not saying donât draw like him! There is nothing wrong with his style! Just donât fall into the assumption that every body type will align exactly with the proportions and measurements that he covers. For example, he usually has a standard height that male and female figures are drawn at and certain points where knees are expected to reach and other body part milestones:

It is a guideline, and it is useful, but I found that the best exercise that you can do is to do a study on separate pages. No one taught me this, I just did it out of curiosity to see how it would go. Set one aside for male and one for female. First, draw your standard Loomis figure, then get five other male/female reference photos (or drawn from life if you can) of people with different body types. Try drawing them from observation and see how much of the Loomis concept applies to them. Youâll find that you can bend a lot of the Loomis ideas to fit, but you have to throw out some things entirely in order to accurately portray your subject (like the number of heads tall something has to be, or posture, for example).
Hopefully, despite that being a little long-winded of me, you found this experience helpful? Everyone learns differently, so I feel your struggle. I am a big visual learner and need to see what is happening with something to understand it. I also learn best by struggling. So what were the âahaâ moments for me, may not necessarily work for another, but it is here if you can find any value or use in it.

reading that Tarantulas and Prowl processor overload ask has revived one of my recently dormant fetishes
(this is an expansion on the forced porn download ask actually, wasn't really done b4 sending)
Prowl's archives just being a massive database of miscellaneous data, which seems like a fully practical thing that he'd do for simulation work at first glance, but in truth, he just never deletes anything because he gets off to the feeling of being just sooooo full in places no physical sensation can reach.
He wasn't always like this, you see. Prowl used to maintain good software management habits. He'd defrag according to a strict schedule, used connection buffers often and cleared his processing queues before recharge. He would never think twice about netdiving into shady websites with nasty popups, let alone download anything from there. But eventually, as his processors develop at that exponential pace his handlers noticed upon bringing him online, Prowl got bolder.
Bold enough to make a slip up and plug into a corrupt mainframe, triggering that forced download and kickstarting his fetish for good. He barely remembers anything about that incident other than an overwhelming mental barrage of arousal. Sometimes Prowl wonders if his colleagues at the time knew just what was literally going through his head as he slumped over on the console, seizing in place as they frantically tried to disconnect him safely. Maybe they caught the scent of his overload under his panels, and chose not to say anything.
Prowl would of course say that he was perfectly fine after that incident, but he'd be haunted by that instance of utter bliss he'd felt when like 30 terrabytes of ERP chatlogs and erotic flashgames burned through his neural circuitry. Eventually, he'd start by visiting a library. Full of clean and safe data to indulge in. Then he started logging all non-confidential precinct data, like routine security footage that's get deleted anyways, and dispatch call recordings. Then he started downloading from legal websites, then onto not so legal ones.
He even has backup and extra hard drives stored in his office and habisuite in plain sight, since no one else but other archivists and data specialists would catch on to his kink in the first place. Every once in a while, he'd plug himself into all these units and just let all that data flood through him, his fans and cooling systems squealing in effort to keep up with the deluge of information forcing it's way through his staticy brain, reducing his overclocked cognitive units into jello as his RAM gets consumed by pure uncontrollable math.
He loves the feel of his mind being pounded by googols of nonsense, it makes him hornier than anything else. He'd save anything from the internet, books and numeric databases are his usual go tos; high definition media are a must, the more graphically and audially intensive the better; the most unoptimized and performance heavy video games, anything that would fill up his hungry battle computer until it's full to bursting and melting.
Sometimes when he feels extra naughty, he'd even fire up the various malware and viruses the Spec Ops team would bring back, on top of all the seedy ones he'd find online. He'd trigger them in his processor and lie back in his berth, finger his fluttering pussy and feel the malicious software start tearing through his brain as his battle computer instinctively fights back, making him feel soooo hot all over. And every time he overloads, it sweeps all of his progress, and the self cleaning protocols will just have to restart as he writhes helplessly in the dark of his room.
Software sanctity? Fuck that, he'd hit anything as long as it demolishes his brain and make him into a silly, messy, spasming horny mess. A real dataslut.
god this is so good. He's quite literally overloading his processor out. It's almost like an addiction. Of course, Prowl could stop any time he wants... he could, he just doesn't want to! After a while, pumping his head full of junk data and malicious viruses is the only way Prowl can even have a fulfilling orgasm. Being full of miscellaneous data is just not enough. It's a pleasant pressure in his constantly calculating brain, yes, but if he wants to cum, he needs something stronger. He'll keep frying his brain inside of his helm as long as he gets to feel that electrifying thrill of his battle computer struggling to deflect the attacks on his mainframe.
It feels like he's falling apart at the circuits, delicate wiring so hot that it's disintegrating into dust, and all he can do is frantically rub his soaking wet valve through it all, optics bright and staring off into space as his HUD floods with nonsense. All his senses are completely taken over by the foreign malware, all he knows is that he feels so good.
Honestly, I wonder what would happen if he got stuck like that. Just for a day or two. And someone had to find him in his apartment, face twisted in pure bliss as his frame keeps twitching even after countless hours of continuous overloads. Of course, Prowl's processor gets cleaned out after that, yet he can't help but want to repeat it... to feel so absolutely stuffed and overwhelmed with data that he's just a wet, helpless thing. To give up control and let his processor sink into endless pleasure.
But for now, he's got a morning shift at the precinct to finish.

hey! alright so i may have done a thing
so for the past,,, idk 3 weeks? ive been going on a deep dive into spelling bee mostly to sedate my own curiosity of needing to know everything about what i'm interested in. as it turns out, there is a LOT of content with this musical, so i'm here to talk about my findings! note: i will be keeping this EXCLUSIVE to the original 2005 off broadway cast. as much as i'm a brown university girlie through and through, the original cast is where the content is. OKAY FIRST: youtube findings
a lot of small videos were made usually with logainne and leaf. you'll be quick to learn that they made the most off stage content. i have a public playlist with these videos, along with interviews, the original boot, and a few other things. the cast album isn't in it because that's audio only and i want visuals damnit. (plus its on spotify and easy to look up so.) the exception is 25apcsbmt12doc because its pretty underground and the purpose is to get word out about niche things.
second: myspace pages a lot of the spellers have myspace pages! this is like. a common thing!! only two were archived (leaf and logainne) and are able to be accessed! i'll talk about the others in a bit. they contain new information and i personally find them very interesting!
leaf logainne
HOWEVER: three are currently able to be accessed through modern myspace without needing an account. the format is off, but it's accessable.
barfee 25apcsb account panch third: other
there's two different things here so i'll separate them :]
3.1: r/v club
r/v club is a short film by rebecca feldman (one of the people that worked on spelling bee) that includes logainne! it can be found on her site with other short films. i believe this is the only one with her in it HOWEVER i have not checked therefore i could be wrong. it's set post-spelling bee, i believe. also jesse is in it but not as leaf.
r/v club
3.2: official site
spelling bee had a site!! and official merch!! its just a cool thing i think. it'll be mentioned again in the last section
spelling bee site
fourth and final: lost media (to my knowledge)
okay, spelling bee has.... QUITE a bit of lost media. again, this will be separated into parts.
4.1: C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E
before spelling bee was a thing, crepuscule (albiet mispronounced) was an improv play made by the farm. (same group who made r/v club) a lot of the characters were similar or the same, and it has a similar premise. however, it wasn't a musical. from what i've heard, there USED to be a boot of it, however i haven't found one of my own. i would love to be corrected.
4.2 myspace pages
remember how i was going to say this was going to come up again? hi thats now. outside of leaf and logainne, other myspace accounts were made! mitch (comfortcounselor), olive (mydictionary) + (oliveostrovsky), chip (chiptolentino), marigold (marigoldconeybear) an olive and barfee joint account (ilovemydictionary), and a leaf and logainne joint account (schwartzylogan). there's also another leaf account with the very confusing name of panchspell the issue with these is that theyre not archived, so you'll need a myspace account with a verified email to view these. in the year of our lord 2024 that's not exactly an easy find, especially since verification emails no longer send. plus, one of olive's accounts is dictionary.com now so,,,, who knows what it looks like there. most also need a connection, which makes things even MORE difficult. i hate how close but out of reach these accounts are.
4.3. spelling bee game
yeah they had a game. it's on the site, and it's eternally stuck at loading characters from my experience. here's the link anyway! game
4.4 the dirty bee
oh jesus its the dirty bee. so for context, in 2006 when the show was running, a few nights were booked for spelling bee that were meant for mature audiences and were 18 plus. it's catered towards people who have already seen the bee and want something new. it was inspired by jay (panch) and putting in words or sentences researsals that were clearly for funnies because he was bored. alas it became a derivative of the musical. all we know is what an article provides (theres more than one but the one linked gives the most info) and that chip quote unquote "finished off" at my unfortunate erection according to jose. there's rumor that chip is canonically bi in it but theres no sources so,,,, can't confirm that one.
article
(the quote is said in the reunion "stars in the house" and is found in the playlist)
conclusion:
there's genuinely so much shit in this musical i find it fascinating. this post WILL be updated with any other finds or information. PLEASE dm me or let me know if i got something wrong or if you have something to add (though do add a source, please and thank you)
ALSO: reblogs are greatly appreciated!! shoutout to the wiki, @/honkmaster69 and the people i spam in dms for helping and tolerating me <33

HELLLOOO POOKSTERS I read some of your P: eg headcanons [Iâm quite literally starved because this fandom needs more attention] and I just KNEW I HAD to request from LIL OLâ YOUU (ŕš>Řâ˘Ěŕš)
OKAY SO SOO I was curious if you would be comfortable doing a Wenona and Cassidy Amber (seperate ofc) x Fem! Ultimate Detective! Reader headcanons? HOWEVERR if you donât feel comfortable doing specified gendered reader then gender neutral is also SUPERR DUPPER COOL TOO
If you do decide to do this request then THANK YOU SOO MUCH BOOKIE
a/n :: omg hi hello ok!! so sorry for the very unepic inactivity, i hope you guys enjoy thsi one,,mshahmrka i think the characs might be ooc, i had so much struggle making this while i was at school..,..,ENJOYYY HAVE A GREAT DAY
Wenona ::
Wenona is impressed by your ability to deduce outcomes based on minimal information, often comparing it to reading market trends.
Wenona insists on treating investigations like a business project, organizing tasks into âactionable stepsâ and occasionally trying to monetize their collaboration ("Ever thought about writing a crime-solving memoir?").
Wenona's tendency to manipulate situations for profit may clash with your moral compass. She argues over whether success or justice should be the ultimate priority.
Wenona often uses their charm and connections to dig up information or secure access to restricted areas, much to your annoyance.
You frequently catch Wenona in little white lies, whether about her intentions or their success rate. The Entrepreneur brushes it off with a grin, calling it "good PR."
Both of you enjoy long discussions over coffee about the similarities between solving crimes and navigating cutthroat business environments. These talks often turn philosophical.
â â
Cassidy Amber ::
Cassidy initially views investigations as puzzles or challenges, often throwing out wild, game-inspired theories. You are amused but skeptical of her "gamer logic."
When Cassidy applies her trategic thinking to real-life scenarios, she surprises you with creative, out-of-the-box solutions that sometimes actually work.
Cassidy constantly challenges the Detective to mental duelsâpuzzles, chess, or even logic-based video games. You find them humorous, but you secretly enjoyed the competition.
Cassidyâs laid-back, âitâs-just-a-gameâ mindset can frustrate you, who struggles to get her to focus during critical moments.
Cassidyâs ability to spot tiny details in fast-paced games impresses the Detective, who starts seeing them as a valuable partner despite their eccentricities.
Cassidy loves live-streaming mystery games, and you would sometimes join as a guest commentator, offering real-world insight into game scenarios. Her streams gain a cult following.
ok gyusz see you next request mdbhajadp

reflection: martial arts/fighting shenanigans
alright so i figured since this round of shenanigans is for me to practice stuff I don't usually write, the least I could do is share some of what I've learned from doing these.
the trouble i've been having with writing action scenes is mostly making things readable - idk if other folks have this problem, but sometimes when I know a thing too well, it's real easy to write too technically, where it becomes a slog to read through, especially if you're not familiar with what's going on.
so i went into this with readability being the biggest thing and I was surprised to realize how much the stage combat work I've been doing has helped. in stage combat, you have to do the same thing of balancing technique with story. as an actor, since you're often given the choreography (and not shaping it), you have to think about character and intent - as in, what does each move reveal about the character? how does each move further the story? having this practice in my head, helped in writing the prompts for this week.
[further ramblings and summarized takeaways under the cut!]
surprisingly, focusing on those specific questions helped take the pressure off for styles i don't have expertise in - for example, i've only done a little bit of sword work (compared to my years in other styles) and very little staff work so for the mind's eye prompt and the sci fi prompt, i made the conscious decision to kinda gloss over the technical stuff and frame things more in what the character's experience. thinking about character perspective helped with as well - for example, writing from Ava's perspective allowed for more leeway since she's not as knowledgeable.
for styles i do know very well (i.e. grappling/bjj), it was interesting to figure out the balance between what would be cool vs what would be in character. for example, regarding character: canonically, Ava has a wilder, brawler stand-up style compared to Beatrice, so for the pin prompt, I chose moves that were more wrestling/no-gi bjj (duck under feint to far side duck under to a mat return, front headlock / d'arce to kesagatame arm triangle). and while i have no real experience in melee situations (as much as i love aikido, i refuse to count multiple attack randori as real experience :P), i wanted to show Beatrice's calm, strategic side in the the sci fi prompt, hence why i called out how she was funneling her attackers and her situational awareness.
regarding what could be cool / planning the technicalities of the fight sequence: i realized i had to reel myself in and make things super duper simple. for example, in both the lake prompt and the pin prompt, the fight sequences are only a couple of moves; it would have only been seconds long in real time. but anything more longer or more complicated would've required a lot more context for folks not familiar with grappling to understand, which would've been best to set up outside of the actual fight sequence so that the fight itself could flow. (think: sports manga, like Haikyu)
actually, speaking of manga, I found myself relying a lot on the 4-act kishoutenketsu structure. it's the narrative structure i default to for short fics but it was especially helpful with these prompts, particularly in trying to figure out the 'ten' or turn - in other words, what's the surprise, the unexpected thing that makes the fight memorable? (recommendation: this video by Accented Cinema does a great job explaining kishoutenketsu in the context of fight scenes)
anyway, to summarize what i've learned about writing martial arts/fighting/action scenes:
always, always, always think about character - this will inform all the other choices you make, from perspective, to choreography (what they do, how they do it, why they do it), to how this affects the overall story
keep things ultra-simple when describing the fight itself (again, if you can set things up beforehand - Haikyu does a great job at this! - do so; otherwise, keep the fight about what's happening in the moment. [yeah i know there's some great examples of flashbacks mid-fight, but that's more an exception than the rule imo])
personal knowledge can be both a gift and a curse lol - that said, there are ways to leverage what you do or don't know, if you keep the first two points in mind.
i'm by no means an expert -this was only a week lol - but i'm happy to talk more about any of the prompts from this week or martial arts in general lol - thanks as always to everyone for playing. absolutely can't do any of this without y'all!

you cook with every post you make. a refreshing breath of cool air in this hellhole of an online CDD community. ily. /p
genuinely keep doing what you do because this is so wonderful to see . please keep speaking your truth king it's so needed !!!!!
i'd love to hear your thoughts on why smaller systems aren't as well represented in online spaces/why so many pwDID online have such large headcounts. i have my own theories (mainly, the communities that they're engaging with have normalized huge alter counts to the point where a small one is abnormal, and online systems will do anything to avoid being abnormal in a bad way), but i'd love to hear your take on it.
once again tysm for being so correct all the time it's so necessary
Thank you for the support! The positive messages truly speak louder than the hate driven ones.
I believe there could be a few reasons that larger headcounts are more common than smaller ones.
Because this will be quite long, I will list them below here.
Don't want to read through each paragraph? Focus on the green.
1. Validation
As you said, it is so normalized to have hundreds to thousands of alters in system communities despite this not being a very common experience within people with diagnosed DID. Many feel their headcounts need to be high in order to feel valid within those communities of people who make their online identity about their disorder. It may feel invalidating or as if no one will believe you if you do not claim such a high count. This can be overexaggerating symptoms or lying.
*I am not claiming all people with higher alter counts are lying*
2. Mislead
During my time in system communities of all kinds, there has been so much misinformation. I have witnessed groups of people telling one person that their thoughts being in a new voice means it's a new alter, their personality shifting is a new alter, identifying with/as a character is a new alter, being connected to a character is a new alter, zoning out is a switch, a headache is a split, ECT. This happens so much that I wouldn't doubt people think something is an alter that actually isn't. This especially applies to endogenic communities who will refuse to allow you to be normal. Everything makes you a system and if you doubt yourself they see you as ableist and invalidating to others/your alters.
3. Misinformation
The system community strongly believes in things like C-DID/polyfragmentation and HC-DID. These things aren't medically proven things though.
Polyfragmentation comes from Dr. Richard P. Kluft and Dr. Benner G. Braun's (Two psychiatrists who are well known to be abusive and a conspiracy theorists) theory of "Extremely complex multiple personality disorder" Outside of outdated or unreliable information/studies, polyfragmentation is not a recognized part of DID at all. I have tried looking for up to date professionally written sources on polyfragmentation and I have never found any. But if you have some then feel free to link them I would love to read it.
If you would like to read this here is a link. DO NOT USE THIS AS A SOURCE OF ACTUAL INFORMATION. This is outdated as hell. It's just showing where the term polyfragmented came from and why it isn't good.
HC-DID came from... Instagram. I think that says enough. It has never been a medically recognized thing and is not a diagnosis you can get.
4. Views
No, I do not mean doing it for views. Literally because of the views on posts. When people post about having high alter counts, it draws in all sorts of people. Whether that be other people who interact with system content, random observers, curious people, people who think the content is cringe, or really anyone. The more obscure appearing posts always go the most viral. That is why people like The Wonderland System, The A System, The Pillowfort System, ECT blow up. Their videos show CDDs in a more exaggerated way. That includes high alter count (not including The A System there afaik.) being a big part of their content. They blow up because more people are engaging for more reasons. While someone who doesn't present the disorder in such an overt way won't get that much traction online. It's not as interesting to people who engage in system content or people who just come across the videos. You see more of the higher headcount videos because they gain more attention online and get pushed to more people.
I want to make it clear, I am not saying that this is going to be for everyone who claims to have a high alter count.

Hey, you! Psst! Over here!
i see that you've taken an interest in perusing the wonderful (subjective) nonsense of my blog - and to that i say, welcome! hello! bonjour! aloha! hola! and other words that mean "hello" in various languages.
and, since you've taken such an interest, i'll provide you with some basic information regarding myself and what you'll see here. i'll try to keep it brief (& fail at doing so)!
So (you may be asking), "who is this on the other line anyway? Who is this... complete and utter nerd I'm reading the posts of right now?" And, to that I answer:
hi! i'm bee. or b-model, sometimes people call me that. i don't really mind what you call me. my pronouns are... any, honestly, but if you want a default you can use they/them. i don't really care what you use for me.
i'm a musician, artist, aspiring paleontologist, video game nerd, among a lot of other things. i play guitar, bass, keyboard, and occasionally sing, and often like to use weird music software to see what i can get out of it.
"Alright, that's cool. What's this blog about?"
well, i'm VERY glad you asked! it's a blog pertaining to my interests, the most frequent ones you will probably be seeing will be listed below (my interests change focus frequently, but the ones in bold text are ones i'm always focused on to some degree.)
MUSIC, BANDS, & GENRES
Susumu Hirasawa (LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE DOES. P-MODEL, SOLO CAREER, ALL OF IT. My biggest interest by far.)
Visual kei (ESPECIALLY BUCK-TICK, MALICE MIZER, DIR EN GREY, LAREINE, EXISTâ TRACE, ETC.!! I plan to get into many more bands, though. My understanding of the genre is still quite surface-level... this section also covers bands that were formerly vkei that I like/bands that are debated on whether they're vkei or not, but undoubtedly influenced the genre.)
Sakanaction
Yellow Magic Orchestra
Spitz
Metallica (Many of you might know me from when I was a Metallica fanblog, and it's where my current URL comes from. The band saved me in one of my darkest periods, but I'm not as majorly into them as I used to be. Saw them in concert twice, though!)
Daft Punk
Hideki Naganuma
Buckethead
VIDEO GAMES
Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku (Majima is my favorite character, my #1 favorite fictional character of all time!!)
Sonic the Hedgehog (Shadow the Hedgehog is my other favorite character of all time...)
The Legend of Zelda
Pokemon (my favorite character is Rika from S/V, and my favorite Pokemon is Blaziken!)
Devil May Cry
Genshin Impact & Honkai Star Rail (mostly for Arlecchino. I don't really like how Hoyoverse has handled some aspects of their games in recent times, specifically Genshin, but I stay up-to-date specifically because of her.)
Overwatch, Valorant, Fortnite, general shooter games. (I was raised on them, I don't play them very much, though. I do really like Moira from Overwatch in a completely normal way though (i want her so bad))
MISC. MEDIA & INTERESTS
Paleontology (what I plan to major in!)
The Lion King (yes, the Disney movie... another interest that's been stuck with me for a decade.)
Kaiju & Mecha, sort of. (Godzilla Minus One is one of my top five favorite movies, guess there's that.)
Anime... kind of. (I don't watch much, but I like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, Dragon Ball, & Jujutsu Kaisen)
Jurassic Park (Ian Malcolm is my favorite character. ME IRL!!!)
Dungeons & Dragons... and general fantasy settings.
Sci-fi
Speculative evolution/biology
Learning software, modding games, computers, all of that. I want to get good at doing all that stuff at some point...
3D animation and similar interest - I actually occasionally use Source Filmmaker!
"Alright, that's cool. Any DNI criteria or things of that nature?"
i don't really have anything too strict beyond the general criteria of "don't be an asshole, don't be a creep, and be a decent human being" - but i will say that if i don't like your content/it bothers me in some way, i will probably block you. if i do so, don't take it personally. although i'll rarely come to that endpoint because my triggers are so hyper-specific that you'd have to be a really specific kind of person to cross that line.
Obligatory Question Section:
"Are there any other ways to contact you outside of Tumblr?"
YES! my twitter, most preferably - i'm not very active on it but i'll probably see something of yours eventually. i usually retweet but sometimes i make an original post... i also have discord, but you'd have to message me personally if you want it - or add me when you get the chance to if i post it at some point. never be afraid to talk to me in tumblr messages or in the ask box and ask for it. i'll probably give it to you if i've been mutuals with you long enough!
OTHER SOCIALS: last.fm (rarely used) - rateyourmusic (rarely used) - strawpage - vk.gy (i only use this to look up bands, there isn't much)

if i had to guess, as someone whoâs vaguely familiar w/ how reddit posting works, iâd say the nge subreddit probably has some sort of automod system that lets posts thru as long as a) theyâre not anything Too egregious, b) the user is a member of the subreddit + c) the user has some sort of post history??
..but seeing as a) i hadnât joined the subreddit til after i tried posting + b) iâve never posted on reddit b4.. i think my post has got stuck in some sort of âawaiting mod approvalâ purgatory, where itâs waiting for an Actual mod to check over it đŤŁ
anyways, here what i was trying to post abt, my uk edition of the âperfect collectionâ from 2004 that arrived 2day đ

as far as i can tell, itâs The first uk release of the entire show in one box, and (if itâs the same as the us version) with the Original video and audio, before they remastered and redubbed it for the âplatinum collectionâ releases, which is p cool?? đ˛
and it seems to be So incredibly rare and obscure, that apart from a couple of articles i found from 2004 saying it was coming out here, i havenât actually been able to find any other information or photos abt it online?? đľâđŤ which is why i tried asking abt it on the subreddit but.. i guess iâm still waiting for those answers now.. âšď¸

You Canât Just Rename Somebody Elseâs Pet????
(page 1684-1706)
A lot going on in these pages, including kids meeting in person, possible(?) information on how Sburb gates work, Daveâs dream self, and Roseâs surprising interest in a pro basketball player.
First, thereâs a Pesterlog between John and gallowsCalibrator, where after she quite literally got him killed sheâs only âkind of giving [him] the creeps!â (p.1684). And then he enters the second gate (or, what GC calls the second gate) on her instructions, despite how disastrously things went the last time he accepted her help. I think John believes in forgiveness and second chances â he must do, to have been friends with Dave so long. He also doesnât wish actual harm on anyone he actively knows, nothing worse than a prank, so itâs hard for him to imagine other people having that mindset, which also explains how Dave later tricks him into giving him the captcha code for Roseâs journals. Finally, while John springs into action in immediately life-threatening situations, he might not have much regard for his life in the abstract given his general disconnect from it. This version of John didnât experience going into the denizenâs palace and being slaughtered â so it feels more like a video game threat than an actual threat.
Google LOWAS is a fun new interactive feature and something we havenât seen before: it tells us absolutely nothing new about the world, but does give a different and cool perspective. Parts of it look exactly like a fungus under a microscope, itâs got the same soft fluffy ridges that fan out like branches, although that could be the effect of a filter or Photoshop effect on an actual landmass. The Gate 2 flash animation fakeout is less successful, partly because Iâm blessed and havenât experienced the âwaiting gameâ where server overload makes it take forever for a flash to load, and partly because the lack of â[S]â and the current update pace makes this unlikely to be a flash anyway,
I really like how Johnâs gone from being incredibly homestuck to being the biggest trailblazer of all the kids, and the one whoâs going to the most places. Heâs got a rocketpack and has explored all around LOWAS, heâs now hitting up LOLAR, and pretty soon heâll be on his way to the Veil. I think thatâs another reason he trusted GC again: he wants to try things out and to explore after a lifetime of restrictions. Sheâs giving him the tools to do that, and even though heâs hesitant to trust her specifically, the concept is irresistible.
KIDS PHYSICALLY IN THE SAME PLACE TIMELINE: John and Jade p.1049, Rose and John p.1690, Dave and Rose p.1704
But what a scary situation to suddenly be thrust into a possible in-person social encounter with an online friend you never really expected to meet in person. Thatâs the sort of thing someone needs days of notice to mentally prepare for (in my experience). That and the total destruction of her walls (and the genetic code; certainly thatâll take some time to reconstruct) explain why heâs so hesitant and uncertain to do anything else in the room, even look at his own gift. Rose pretty much said she was going to knit something for him (p.442) and the tiny glimpse we get here confirms that, but gives no further clues.
John talks to Davesprite, and then asks to talk to âthe real daveâ (p.1692), which is a fucking slap in the face. Davesprite is arguably the realer Dave, as heâs spent more time being Dave, and current Dave can only exist because of him. It probably sucks to be Davesprite and to see the other version of yourself succeeding and messing around with his friends, after spending four months grieving and suffering and having that go basically unacknowledged. Current Dave claims he âwouldnât give a shitâ (p.1692), but he actually has no way of knowing that without going through Davespriteâs life changing experiences. I guess Iâd like to see Davesprite go off and have an arc of his own instead of just being current Daveâs companion, but given how sprites are designed to serve players, I donât know how likely that is.
TG: the progression of gates is like this whole round robin thing TG: cycling through each planet TG: gate 2 on your planet leads to gate 2 on roses TG: then you build up to gate 3 above her house which leads somewhere else on her planet TG: you look for gate 4 somewhere there TG: which leads to gate 4 above my house (p.1692)
ok so if Davesprite is right here, the progression of gates would look something like this.

which, if true, would mean that John ended up fighting the denizen on Jadeâs planet, therefore completing her quest instead of his own. This doesnât super track to me given how customized the quests and lands seem to be for each player, tying into their titles and domains. Also, Dave went through Gate 5 onto LOHAC (p.1641), his own land, which doesnât fit the progression. Jade never entering the Medium in the dark timeline means her gates would never appear in the Medium, but thereâs no reason to think Johnâs gates would disappear if he died (but who knows).
A few possible explanations. One, Davesprite is wrong, and for some reason this is information even sprites donât have. Two, Davesprite is lying, and for some reason Skaia wants to hide this from players or Davesprite is fighting against his sprite programming to conceal this from John. Three, there will be a later reveal surrounding the gates and how they work thatâll make all of this irrelevant anyway. Or, four â Iâve talked about Homestuck becoming less about concrete and predictable mechanics and more about loose concepts and themes as itâs gone on, so, this could be basically unimportant to the story because weâre not actually going to see the kids go through these gates. John is heading to the Veil soon (p.1667) so breaking the expected progression, Jack Noir has glitched the session, and the game is about to go off the rails. The gate system is being used to serve the story right now and allow for some important beats in Roseâs room, but will be irrelevant as the story goal is to hack, change or escape the game, not to follow its rules.
KIDSâ DREAM SELVES REVEALED: 4/4 (+ Bonus[?] Lil Cal)
I really like how Rose is drawn in this panel (p.1697), like sheâs mid-jump, very fluid and graceful. The bisexual Derse tower in the background is fun too.
Daveâs dream room, on the other hand, is an absolute disaster. All the kidsâ rooms feature clutter and accessories from their waking rooms, but not everything from their waking rooms â for example, thereâs no sight of the totem lathe in Roseâs dream room (p.1655). Daveâs is a perfect mirror except for the wall decorations, including cruxtruder, toilet, crows, dead things, and trailing wires. Rose would say this mirrors his cluttered and chaotic mind. I think this is connected to Dave already being awake and not knowing it â his mind doesnât shut down even when heâs asleep, thereâs this background noise constantly keeping him agitated and restless, so he can probably get a full eight hours and wake up feeling like he hasnât slept at all.
Of course heâs drawn Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff on his walls. Iâd guess he came up with the idea while his actual world self was asleep, maybe even draws the comics while asleep given that even his dream self is terminally online, and then the ideas return to his waking self because his two selves are connected, he just hasnât realized until now. Calâs presence in Daveâs dream room is like an even creepier analog to the Jack Noir harlequin doll in Johnâs room, but that was an inanimate doll. Cal is moving around and has an actual dream self with a tiny nightgown, which might be confirmation that heâs partially sentient, or is somehow a part of Sburb. Itâs also a great explanation for what Dave has previously told us about his dreams.
TG: oh man i wish lil cal wouldnt look at me like that TG: with those dead eyes jesus TG: sometimes i dream that hes real and hes talking to me and i wake up in a cold sweat and basically flip the fuck out (p.419)
KIDS FALLING ASLEEP AT INOPPORTUNE MOMENTS: 4/4 COMPLETE!
â"April is the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain." -American sports legend, Charles Barkleyâ (p.307)
I gotta say, if there was one part of Homestuck I didnât expect to be explained in some way, it was these misattributed quotes. Rose thought about this quote (which is originally from T.S. Eliotâs The Waste Land) on her journey to confront her mom downstairs, and now John finds a book of poetry on her shelf written by Charles Barkley, suggesting that in this universe, Rose is not misattributing the quote.
Iâm usually more interested in football and baseball so I donât know this guy at all, but I looked up Charles Barkley and he does seem to have had an impressive career, and an interesting life outside of sports too. He was among the first group of Black students at his elementary school and was openly supportive of a teammate with HIV as early as 1991, as well as speaking out in support of queer communities on lots of occasions. He also broke a bunch of basketball records despite being seen early on as too short and fat to play, appeared in Space Jam, named his daughter after a mall (which Iâve been to), and has written a couple books for real, although none of them are called This Ocean Charles. He has some controversies for sure, but thereâs far worse people to reference in a webcomic. Or perhaps two webcomics, as I guess the quote on the front cover implies Barkley is the basketball player featured in Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff #6 and #10.
#homestuck#reaction#heyyyy caught up on posts! although tbh there was enough in this section for 2 posts EASY#and i got to register for class for next year which was exciting#this year ive been doing basically straight up english literature which has been fun and an important grounding i think#next year im gonna be doing language/linguistics in art and politics and social media! which im maybe even more excited for#(at my school we just take 1 big class for the year for part time. full time students take 2)#(all kinds of wack compared to my prev school but at least it keeps the deadlines spread out)#chrono
