Another thing I noticed with Bess is that she kinda doesn't gaf about the kits?

I mean, she sure likes them as a mother, like she birthed them. But I guess she only cared partially because probably Cedar was the one shoving them infront of her until she started to kind of tolerate them.

Kinda of a stretch but she makes me so confused, why would you start yelling at two authorities that you'll take your children and then not visit them when those people don't please your beliefs?

As I said in comments, these kids don't have the need to be running after their mother! Geez!

I think she really only sees them as an extension of herself rn - or as a perfect iteration of the family she never had. She hasn't truly gotten to know any of them that deeply (I never got to show how she and the kits interacted, but I imagine she was like the 'fun parent' always teaching them hunting moves before their mentors could, catching them extra food, and telling cool stories, but never really asking them about their lives or what they like).

Whenever they spoke about the clan it definitely went in one ear and out the other. I think she just assumes (as she did with Cedar) that once she eventually gets them away they'll be fine and realize the clan wasn't great anyways no matter how long they spent there.

The comic will touch more on her mentality specifically on why she hasn't seen them between the divorce and current events also

'Vallecitos' is a luxury earthship house built in 2018 in Taos, NM. It's been featured on Netflix, international TV and social media, among the pages of Forbes and AirBnB magazine, and many others, yet it's been on the market for almost 2 yrs. 2bds, 2ba, asking $825K + $20mo. HOA fee. Let's take a look inside.

So, the typically long earthship garden that is usually inside the house, is separate here, and like a greenhouse decorated with bottles in the pretty turquoise walls.

Food grows out here- I see lettuce, aloe vera.

And, look at this- bananas. Or are they plantains?

I must say that the living room is nice, but the dining area is a little tight.

We've seen some pretty primitive earthships before, but this actually looks like a home with beamed ceilings and quality glass doors and windows.

A real kitchen and it's very pretty. Love the turquoise cabinets.

It even has a pantry and laundry room.

Very nice bath and what looks like a real flushing toilet, not a composter.

Beautiful tile sink.

The secondary bedroom is lovely. It looks like a child's room and has plenty storage for toys, games and books. A desk faces the garden window.

As we can see, the garden runs the whole length of the large "ship."

The primary bedroom is nice.

It opens to the garden area.

Pretty en-suite. I would need something on that window, though.

Out on the patio they have a sauna.

An ocean out of a parkway

When you are fuming, but won't just give up:

They had one job, for sure, but why does Marple make this wee trespass sound like first-degree murder?

I mean, it's not like they announced a bottle signing in Anchorage, AK only to show up in (randomly) Albuquerque, NM!

On any map, Westbury and Garden City touch each other, with the liquor shop about halfway between the two, (barely) in Westbury. Fifteen minutes by car is all it takes to go from random point A in Westbury to random point B in Garden City, on the map below. In the US a 15 minutes drive is nothing, so to speak.

Come on, they are almost fictitiously separated just by that damned Meadowbrook State Parkway, not by The Channel. I am fairly sure the locals don't even always make the difference and they must know very well where that liquor shop is:

And how could they make that difference, when both are incorporated villages, that are partially included in the town of North Hempstead, in Long Island?

The SR-71, unofficially known as the “Blackbird,” is a long-range, advanced, strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed from the Lockheed A-12 and YF-12A aircraft. The first flight of an SR-71 took place on Dec. 22, 1964, and the first SR-71 to enter service was delivered to the 4200th (later 9th) Strategic Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., in January 1966. The US Air Force (USAF) retired its fleet of SR-71s on Jan. 26, 1990.

Linda has a personal relationship with the SR-71 because her father Butch Sheffield flew the Blackbird from test flight in 1965 until 1973. Butch’s Granddaughter’s Lisa Burroughs and Susan Miller are graphic designers. They designed most of the merchandise that is for sale on Threadless. A percentage of the profits go to Flight Test Museum at Edwards Air Force Base. This nonprofit charity is personal to the Sheffield family because they are raising money to house SR-71, #955. This was the first Blackbird that Butch Sheffield flew on Oct. 4, 1965.

Throughout its nearly 24-year career, the SR-71 remained the world’s fastest and highest-flying operational aircraft. From 80,000 feet, it could survey 100,000 square miles of Earth’s surface per hour.

SR-71 Lost at Mach 3

The following never told story was written by Col Darrell Cobb and given to me by his son Chris, whom I became reacquainted with at the Wheatland Union High School reunion.

‘Decelling, after an extremely valuable take leg over Hanoi, I encountered an emergency and landed in Thailand. Next day my Recovery Team Crew Chief cornered me – – – They were most anxious to get this TAKE to the processing center and no transport is available from Thailand. They told me: “Your malfunction is fixed, but you are legally required to have a NAV SET, and I can provide that for launch in about an hour. HOWEVER, I guarantee the NAV SET will fail about half an hour after level-off speed. Can you get this back to Kadena for them?”

‘I checked the forecast landing weather – CLEAR! I can do this! NAV SET failure degrades Primary Instrument Panels but even if primary FAIL, I’ve got the BACKUP system (called the FRS) – no sweat!!

‘We went and sure enough, 20 minutes after leveling off at speed (locked on the heading home) NAV SET failed. But Primary Flight Instruments also failed. Shortly thereafter all flight instruments OFF FLAGS POPPED UP. Guess what!?!?! I’m on a partial panel at Mach 3 – – LOST!

‘We checked OCEAN STATION DELTA and were about 60 nm left of course. I dropped the right wing 5 degrees for a count of 10 and reentered the needle. Start decel backset distance was 230 nm. Kadena TACAN locked on at 235 nm within 1 degree of inbound track. HOME FREE!

‘So, when you hear that old cliche, you ain’t been lost till you’re lost at Mach 3.’

But what does the term “partial panel” refer to?

Former SR-71 Blackbird pilot Stormy Boudreaux answers the question;

‘The term partial panel refers to instrument flying while the attitude indicator and heading indicator are unserviceable. Without the heading indicator you have to rely on the “whiskey compass” – so named, because it floats in a container of alcohol – for your heading and looking out the window for your attitude. However, the whiskey compass will tell you the heading only when the wings are level or very nearly level.

“The pilot has to time his turn because establishing a turn of more than a few degrees of bank causes the floating magnetic card to hang up and freeze inside of the instrument case during the turn until the turn is complete – only after you roll out of your bank and the compass card settles down can you find out your new heading.

‘So you start your turn and maintain the turn for a predetermined number of minutes or seconds, then roll out to wings level based on time – you let the card stabilize (15-30 seconds) while it sloshes around figuring out where north is again and finally you read your new heading.’

Turning to the new heading as accurately and quickly as possible

Boudreaux concludes;

‘You prefer to turn to the new heading as accurately and quickly as possible- without rolling out and checking too many times because you are moving at 30 miles per minute. A large deviation from the desired heading means you are going in the wrong direction in a hell of a hurry! In this instance, weather was not a factor for visually determining his attitude and bank angle. If this happens in the weather it is an extremely serious emergency.’

psa: do not reset the simulation in no man's sky on the latest update (aquarius) if you have a freighter

it will disappear. you will not be able to summon it and the game will say you don't own a freighter. you can teleport to where it was from space stations and stuff but you will either end up in the middle of space or be stuck in a partially loaded segment of your freighter base with your life support draining rapidly if you do, and you cannot access the build menu or your freighter inventory.

i and several people on the nms subreddit have reported the bug already but it might be a bit before a patch is pushed out.

nothing else seems affected- i still have my settlement, my ships, and all of my storage containers' inventories, and i don't have a fleet, so i can't speak on that. i haven't gotten a chance to test whether you can retrieve your base/freighter inventory/fleet if you get a new freighter or not yet, but it's probably best not to risk it.

The NM’s sister always takes up a part in my mind for some reason LOL. and the last ask has just made me want to ask abt them. Like are they equally a part of the NM as the MC?

I’m pretty sure the MC’s bond with the Gatekeeper comes from the MC actually having the desire to reach out to life, so is it possible for their sister to have the same bond with the Gatekeeper if she tried? Does the bond just automatically exist since she is part of the NM? Is it just not as strong?

As well as if the ROs will ever meet the sister?

I’m not sure why but when I imagine her I always picture her as a tad condescending/patronizing since she is the more logical/pragmatic side of The Market, kind of looking down on MC for being so emotionally unstable and destructive. Idk!! I just think it would be so funny if MC were resentful towards their sister because they feel babied, and if they were particularly forgiving towards Milo, it would be funny for him to see what MC looks like when they are truly unhappy (maybe angry) to be around someone.

I can't actually comment too much on the sister relationship. Partially because its still in development and also because it would be spoilers. But, needless to say, the MC and the sister do not have a great relationship together. It's not a resentful one (MC is older) but it isn't a loving.

We all know that Moon isn't losing his mind - he's aware of what he's doing and that what he's doing is bad hence why he hides it form his family - though like I said he partially told Sun what's on his mind so that's that.

What if Moon is trying so hard to focus on bringing Solar back because he doesn't want to think about what Old Moon told him and to not think about his dream?

I mean what if he doesn't want to think about a possibilty that Sun may throw away his life or that Sun is self-destructive?

Moon chose to focus on something that was already occupying his mind. After all bringing Solar back is something in a realm of possibilty and it's a task that will keep him busy.

I was thinking that him spiraling so hard because he couldn't bring Solar back would be okay if it wasn't for a fact that he decided to kill someone and he's prolonging it in time. He didn't do it immediately after he captured Ruin which shows us that Moon isn't losing his mind - in some sense he is but not in the way many fans seem to think.

I found it odd (and I found fans losing their minds over Moon "losing his mind" slightly annoying to say the least).

And then it clicked. I only a few moments ago realized that maybe Moon is acting like that because he's worried about Sun. And Earth dismissing his concerns only made things worse.

After all, I was saying many times that Moon was paranoid about Sun's safety due to what Dark Sun told him and due to V2 Eclipse's foreseeing.

And only now it clicked. Moon is trying to push away these thoughts - that Sun is self-destructive and will throw away his life to protect his family.

And there's more to that. This is what only Old Moon and New Moon are more aware of because they know Sun better than others - Eclipse could be more aware as well but I think that Eclipse doesn't understand Sun that much but unlike Lunar and Earth, Eclipse still knows Sun more - both Old Moon and New Moon witnessed Sun trying to do something which could result with him being harmed.

Old Moon - when Sun went after Eclipse - after his own death OM realized that Sun could be harmed easily during this "mission" and Sun was doing it all because he wanted to protect Moon.

New Moon - when Sun learned star's power - like NM said Sun was slowly killing himself from using it. Sun could easily die when he blasted Eclipse into a portal which Moon is aware of and he also knows that Sun was doing it all to protect him.

Hence why I think that Moon didn't want to drag Sun into a mess of dealing with Eclipse and Ruin - also because he saw how much hard it was for Sun to deal with new BM.

And when he later tried to be a better brother after Earth pointed out to him that he needs to control his anger and try to keep Sun informed, he realized that there's something off with Sun - he started drinking alcohol and was mostly spending time at home alone - he wasn't socializing as much as he used to.

And talk with Old Moon let him realized that Sun is self-destructive. And later he had a mental breakdown because he realized that he's unable to bring Solar back without sacrificing someone. But was it the only cause of Moon's distress or was there more to it?

He talked with Earth hoping for some good advice or maybe he hoped that Earth will provide him some comfort but she didn't. She in a passive aggressive way dismissed his concerns.

Which I think resulted in that dream - ofc Moon had that dream also from sleep deprivation and stress - where Sun died because he tried to protect Lunar.

Moon's reaction after such a vivid dream wasn't surprising. But what was later is what I found a bit odd. Moon started focusing only on bringing Solar back. He stopped worrying about Sun. Or did he really?

What if Moon is so fixated on bringing Solar back not only because he wants Solar back but because he doesn't want to lose anyone else like that? What if he's scared that if Sun will die, he won't be able to bring him back?

And maybe if he'll successfully bring Solar back, he'll be able to gather some useful data. If bringing Solar back will turn out to be possible and successfull at that, he'll be able to bring back someone if they died.

We can tell from Moon's paranoia induced dream that he is very scared that Sun will throw away his life to protect his family. In his own mind Moon can't see himself functioning normally without Sun - according to dream Solar Moon was lying on the floor the whole time after Sun died. Moon was unable to do anything.

And let's not forget about what Old Moon told him that he needs to not let others throw away their life especially Sun.

And I think that it stuck with Moon. Even after Earth's "reassurance" he can't stop thinking about it. And after Solar's death - death without easy way of coming back - it drives him crazy.

After all in Moon's dream Sun died disintegrated by creator. Isn't it oddly familiar? Didn't Solar die in similar way - completely disintegrated by Ruin's device?

And considering that it was Moon's dream - something made up by Moon's mind it's pretty obvious that he's afraid that Sun will die just like Solar - without a possibilty of coming back.

And that's what scares Moon the most. That if he won't be able to bring Solar back, he won't be able to bring Sun back from the dead as well. And then Sun would disappear from Moon's life forever.

And that's why I think that Moon is so angry and he's ready to kill in order to protect his family - in order to bring his family from the dead. To bring Sun back from the dead.

And knowing that Sun is self-destructive and ready to throw away his life, Moon can't risk it. He needs to find a way to be able to successfully bring Solar back. In Moon's paranoid mind Sun's life depends on it.

Someone could ask why Moon wouldn't try to stop Sun? But was he able to do that two previous times? Was Old Moon able to stop Sun from going after Eclipse? Was New Moon able to stop Sun from using star's power? The answer is no. And that's why Moon is so scared. Because he knows that Sun will do anything to protect his family completely not caring about his own safety, about his own life.

Here we have a 2008 home in Santa Fe, NM that has such unparalleled views, that it's been likened to being on a hot air balloon being circled by hawks. It has 1bd, 1ba, 1.208 sq ft, $795k. To get to the house, there are 500 rugged "stairs." That thing beside them may be a transport system for groceries, etc.

So, here we are at the top, and it looks like there's a pully system.

The outer walls are glass and I wonder why they did that if there are hawks and other birds that could fly into them.

It's cute in here. I have to wonder how they got all of this stuff up here and if it comes furnished.

A swinging bed faces the glass walls. I don't see a separate bedroom, so it's like a studio.

It's has such a cozy feel to it.

Wow, who lugged the heavy appliances and cast iron stove up here? The kitchen's cute. Look like IKEA.

There's plenty of room for a table and chairs in the dining area.

In this corner across the house there's another bed.

The bathroom has a washer/dryer in it, and a partial tile, partial rock shower.

The deck has a canopy for shade.

The yard looks kind of scrubby. There's what looks like a canvas fence around it, and a hot tub.

Wow, it's a long way down. This thing must be some sort of transport.

There's a garage at the bottom of the mountain.

I don't know who comes down all those stairs to sit on this patio.

The house looks nice all lit up at night.
