But I cannot for the life of me tell you what the plot is about. Like look man it's complicated. Things just started hapening. And continued to happen. And quite frankly haven't stopped happening yet.

Like this novel has every single genre you'll ever find in any media!!!!! (besides romance but it's there if you squint really hard)

I can't summarise it. "Dude from korea transmigrated into this novel he read and tries to avoid getting beaten by the og mc" LIKE HOW DO I EXPLAIN AFTER THAT HOW THIS MAN IS LITERALLY THE LEADING MILITARY AND ECONOMIC POWER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!?!?!

Even that short description is innacurate because 1) Kim Rok Soo is not just some dude 2)This is not even a novel world 3) Choi Han isn't actually an og mc 4) it's not even transmigration it's soul swaping!!

There are so many elements in the plot that I can't describe it man. They're all jumbled up in my head because SO MANY THINGS have happen!! So many wars! So many scams! So much world building! So many plot twists! So much stuff!!

All I can tell you is that 99.999% of the time it's all Cale's fault. He brings this doomed overworked fate upon himself.

let me preface this by saying that there really wasn't anything notable about AD18 (Fernando was "retiring" but we knew that for months in advance, Charles was replacing Kimi at Ferrari but we knew that for months in advance, it was Daniel's last race at RB but we also knew that for months in advance etc) most of what I feel about that weekend is probably nostalgia but. It was the ✨️vibe✨️ the vibe was so immaculate. Drivers used to say that the last race of the season feels like the last day of school but 2018 really just captured that sentiment, no one wanted to be there but in the best way possible you know?

Formative event for me personally was Sebastian and Lewis trading helmets. I think what makes #sewis compelling now is how far they've come. But how far they've come also has the added disadvantage of neutering and sanitising what Seb and Lewis were back in the day. I mean 2018 literally started in Aus with Lewis telling Seb he wanted to wipe the smile off his face. At the beginning of 2018 Lewis was a 4 time champion, tied with Seb. Seb said again and again and again that he had a vested interest in Lewis not winning anymore championships, for his sake and for the sake of protecting Michael Schumacher's record. Anyway it was like. WILD and heart-warming and a very big deal

Re: Fernando retiring. So like. At that point, his last race of his career*, Fernando had already shat on McLaren in literally every fucking conceivable way, calling the engine an f2 engine (gp2), when asked about the very expensive updates on his car he replied "feels good. Much slower than before. Amazing". And ofc in AD18 he couldn't leave without one last jab, his race engineer was trying to gas him up to fight for p10 and he's like "you can fight for that 1 point ☝️ Fernando🔥🔥 1 point is on the table💯" to which he replied "👹I HAVE 1 THOUSAND AND 8 HUNDRED POINTS⁉️����"

Re: re Alonso retiring, they painted him an ugly ass mural (support artists pls but it looked funny) in the driver's meeting room and during the important drivers debrief while Carlos was giving a lecture about safety or something Daniel lost it and Fernando filmed him losing it

nothing will ever go harder than this im afraid + obvi it was the champions sending Fernando off with 🍩 but fate is a fan of aesthetics so Kimi who was supposed to do donuts with them retired from the race (I think it would have thrown off the composition of the photo with 2 red cars so I'm glad)

During the last Team Principal conference of the year, of course they sat Christian and Cyril next to eachother. And of course they asked him about losing Daniel and the renault engine, to which Christian decided the best way to answer that question is to remind Cyril that while they're both basically the same age, when Christian was the youngest TP in F1, Cyril was working in the kitchen 😭

In conclusion it was chaos and I loved it so much and it will forever hold a v special place in my heart

Hmnn this will probably be a big long rambly rant about the love interests so I'll put it under a read more. Please don't read if you're sensitive to criticism/dislike of your favourite guy, I am wildly biased.

This pic showing the guy's affection meter in-game is a good indication of their placement though in terms of how I'd rank them from most to least liked:

Sylus: is my favourite and the sole reason I play the game. I'd already preregistered for LaDs right at the beginning of the game but never played because the 3Ds models of the original 3 men just didn't entice me enough to play. When Sylus was leaked I hopped straight in and began grinding resources for his release. When he came out it was pure hype. His introduction is stellar 👌 vibes immaculate ✨️ he holds himself with quiet power but has a sense of humour. He's a killing machine but he's also a dork who cares about which plushies are sitting together on your shelf. I love his gap moe and all sides to him really, including his pride and difficulty in sharing his vulnerable side (his past pains). I like that he sucks at singing and is stupidly smug about no end of things. He's always quietly encouraging MC to train more and hold herself with more confidence. He adores her attitude and that scores big for me (I stan male characters who aren't intimidated by a woman being a bit mean to them every now and then, and Sylus dishes it back so it's part of their banter.) I like every tidbit of information we get about his loneliness and being a space pirate for a while who conquered planets, like what??? Anyway yee, in conclusion I love him.

Zayne: used to be my main for my first few weeks of playing. Irl he'd be my type based on looks and attitude. He's extremely attractive and gives off a mature and solid vibe like he'd take care of you. I like any and all angst involving his ice Evol, like I eat that shit up. (I LOVE Dawnbreaker, give me that yearning sad man.) His JP voice is to die for and I kinda wish the game would let you mix languages so that MC is bilingual haha. Chat to Sylus in EN and then pop into the cafe later to chat in Japanese with her doctor lol

I half wondered if I'd stick to being a Zayne main when Sylus released but nope. Unfortunately, a few of Zayne's cards put me off him a bit. Initially, I really liked MC x Zayne's dynamic in the main story where she picks him up off the roadside to give him a ride on her motorbike and breaks unexpectedly so his chin bumps her shoulder haha they gave off a confident girl x stoic professional man type vibes. In their cards, however, I'm not fond of MC being kind of...in awe of Zayne. Almost deferential. It leads to her feeling insecure in a bunch of instances. In one card when she joins his lecture late (and its a big deal seminar type of thing) she smiles at him and grows sad when he doesn't respond. She starts to feel small and like she doesn't belong there, because Zayne is such a brilliant surgeon and has a lot of admirers. Later on, Zayne drags her into an abandoned classroom and 'then' gives her affection. And this is a common theme. Zayne doesn't like giving PDA. (And I'm not harping on Zayne here for not beaming and waving at her but I'm saying this is an indication that MC does not feel reassured/confident in their relationship and that bothers me)

In another card, MC is coming home on the train. She texts Zayne to double-check that he is picking her up and wonders why he's not responding. When she gets to the station he's waiting there. On his phone. Just ya know, not responding to her. MC wants a hug but he's standoffish and quiet, acting like he doesn't want to be there. It hurts her feelings. Then he drives her home and ONLY THEN does he press against her and start saying how much missed her bla bla. And I'm sorry but I don't like that. You can be adverse to PDA, I don't like it either- but withholding affection is a choice. It bothers MC and hurts her feelings. What gets me is that MCs sad feelings in these instances could've been easily solved with just a quick smile or word, she's not exactly needy. But anyway, at least it made me realise I prefer a guy who is more upfront with affection. These two as a couple, at least from the cards I've seen, can sometimes just have a hard time communicating their needs. I think outside of those instances they can be very cute together, like an old married couple.

(And I'll just clarify right now since Twitter has made me so conscious of how things are said- yes Sylus does force MC to resonate with him and is antagonistic at first so this is 'worse' than Zayne with-holding affection over PDA but the reason the Zayne thing got to me is because it feels closer to an irl interaction hitting home, that's all)

Xavier: is inoffensive to me. He's aight. I usually end up picking him when you get your choice of 3 cards in a multi-banner because his voice and vibe don't irritate me, he seems okay. His voice is extremely lulling, however, to the point that I don't always pay attention to what he's saying and end up sleepy (I'm sorry Xavier 😐). I think he seems nice, and his card where he makes golden shapes out of light is cute, but I don't feel anything much toward him.

Rafayel: this guy is like...frustrating. Sometimes I feel charmed by something he does- but most of the time his attitude puts me off. He SHOULD be my favourite because I love mermen but whenever he's sassy or rude to MC I'm just like - 'sir you are not hot enough for me to be entertaining this attitude.' Again though I do like his JP voice, he puts in a lively tone sometimes that add a touch of comedy to his words, but yeah he's just not for me. I think he has a lot of layers to him and I like the idea of a love interest who (seems to??) feel resentful/hurt about MC forgetting him, like you could go some interesting places with that- but I'm just not interested in going on that journey with Raf haha. Also LET ME PLAY THE CLAW MACHINE, YOU HAD YOUR TURN-

Caleb: ah Caleb. If you could like...hand-pick the tropes I do not like and put them together in a blender you'd end up with Caleb. Granted I do enjoy Yanderes but Caleb is an extremely tame one and everything else about him cancels out my interest. I don't like the childhood friends trope or the semi-incest taboo thing going on between them. I loathe the military aesthetics and the pipsqueak thing. I will say I think his EN voice actor does a great job, I just don't like Caleb at all haha. To go one step further though- I think 'maybe' I could have liked him IF MC had acted differently around him. When she reunites with him and he reveals that he remembers everything and he's just suddenly back from the dead and in her life- MC not being the slightest bit angry took me out of it. I've had family members die and dreamt about them faking their deaths and I remember screaming at them in my dreams and waking up angry lmao. Her becoming meeker and feeling 'younger' around him just added to me feeling put off.

Also EVERY conversation they have, be it through text, phone-call or in person will slip in a line like - 'hey remember when we were kids we would' or 'remember when we were younger you'd-' like I get it, they're reconnecting over past nostalgia, but it's boring imo once you clock it. There's nothing for me to chew on as an audience member. I totally understand why their dynamic is the way it is- and why he's so set on protecting her (because of her bouts of amnesia and past dependence on him) - its just down to personal taste, but yeah, he don't do it for me and the way MC acts around him (non-confrontational) worsened that.

But yeah these are just my feelings, no offense meant if you love these men. Besides, even if you love the men I dislike- I still like seeing people gush over their favourites, because its endearing to see fans passion! ^^

It's funny and creepy in a cozy way (dogs made of skeletons, legends of long dead grave robbers eating souls of people wandering around the castle). The main character just wants to chill and crochet and tend her convent's little garden. Honestly, same. Just 10/10.

💠 (Favorite level) - That would be the Creepy Citadel from SSA! A lot of nostalgia and just immaculate gothic dark fantasy vibes and such a good finale for the undead section of the game. Also the perfect aesthetic for Hex, I always use her in that chapter. Honorable mentions are The Oracle from Giants and The Golden Arcade from Imaginators.

❌️ (Who's your least favorite Skylander) - Honestly there's a lot of Skylanders I simply don't care for despite having them. The one I actively dislike is Lightning Rod because of some rather unpleasant characterization in one of the books but Fist Bump is a close second for having a (personally) bad design and for insulting Déjà Vu, you don't do that.

💚 (Who's your favorite non-Skylander character) - Similarly I don't care much for the NPCs either but if I had to pick my favorite from the bunch it would probably be Mags, she's a fun gal! Cali also comes to mind but then I remember how much she yelled at me for breaking some pottery and she goes down the list /hj

☔️ (Which game was your least favorite) - Extremely popular opinion: Imaginators. I tried to like it but it's just so rushed and the ending is such a cruel slap to the face. Underwhelming chapters (few exceptions as seen above), removed a lot of great stuff from previous games, BUTCHERED the Academy and don't even get me started on the story and overall writing. Its one saving grace is the Skylanders roster, which is my favorite from the franchise, but besides that there are only a few other positive aspects I can think of. The Imaginators were a fun concept that I was excited about but ultimately kinda fell flat for me and I just ended up using the senseis 90% of the time. The selfie (picture) feature was great and they put effort into the character movesets, so I enjoy playing it for them but that's really it.

✨️ (Which game was your favorite) - And my favorite game is Spyro's Adventure! Call me a nostalgic fool but that game will always hold such a special place in my heart. If you asked me what Skylanders is at its core I would point you to that game. It has this beautiful world design with a really magical medieval rpg flare which hit all the right spots for me. Every character felt unique and gave you an entirely different gameplay experience and the SOUNDTRACK god. I literally can't listen to the main theme without tearing up it means so much to me. It has its flaws obviously, but to me it is the perfect game and I will always enjoy taking out the first portal and replaying it, it's the absolute best way of reliving my childhood.

WHAT'S YOUR MCs BACKSTORY?

— Val is the only child of a dark witch and wizard who constantly traversed the globe to do their illegal business. At some point, this business of theirs led to their untimely end. Then their now orphaned daughter was only four years old when it happened. Even though she was very young and can barely understand what occurred, this actually affected her deeply. Her parent's death caused a change in her appearance. Her pink hair become black, and her pink eyes became green.

Val was then taken in by her Uncle Phineas and Aunt Ursula. She lived with them in London alongside her two cousins at that time.

Growing up wasn't a particularly pleasant experience for Val. For instance, she would always get blamed or punished for things she didn't do. She doesn't get equal treatment like her cousins. Her uncle begrudgingly took her only because Val's father is his favorite sibling. And her extended family are just really something else (in a bad way).

Despite that, this kid created her own little world where she found solace, and that is her reading books and secretly attempting to follow some basic potion recipes. It feels illegal and sneaky for the young Val, but it gave her the chance to feel control of her life.

On the contrary, she eventually became her uncle and aunt's favorite when they noticed that the kid is brilliant and undeniably creative. But then, this was where the cousin rivalry started.

This became even worse when she didn't receive any acceptance letter from Hogwarts while her cousins did. For this reason itself, Val almost got disowned by her uncle, but was persuaded by her aunt to send her to a boarding school instead.

After she was successful sent there, it didn't go any better. Val had a hard time not feeling like a failure Squib. Other than that, she find it difficult to make friends, cope up with societal norms, carry the burden of family expectations, deal with adolescence, and worst, tragic loss of a friend.

After years of living in a constant state of darkness, she got into an accident that she unknowingly caused that time that would change the course of her life forever.

— Val would be that one charismatic/cool but very grounded person you'd meet. This kid probably doesn't use her social media (just for communication with friends only). She'd probably be an entrepreneur and/or pursue something in the arts. Her aesthetic would mainly be grunge/rock but also wears some classic pieces and something comfortable ! Also, I feel like this kid would have those cool cars (since she has like a lot of brooms). Another is, I think that she'd enjoy doing makeup, too! Probably, a philantropist as well. And most importantly, someone who wants to leave a good mark in the world.

WHAT IS YOUR MCs BIGGEST HEARTBREAK?

— When her first best friend took her life. This took a huge toll on Val. She'd get nightmares about it and sometimes blame herself for not doing enough to save her friend's life.

Another is her breakup with her first love. She loved him so much, but she knows that if they stay together, it's gonna hurt them. Choosing the right decisions isn't the easiest one to do. But in the grand scheme of things, it's for the best.

100 days of productivity 9/100

I've made a lot of progress with my final piece 🎨 in just under 2 hours and it feels like I did a lot more tonight than the few weeks I've spent painting it. I'm so so happy with the shading, the colours (!) and the style of the hair!! I may also have somehow got my face covered in paint during that 😅 And that sketch in the right pic? I'm inove with it! If I ever got a tattoo it would be that, messy and all.

This morning I revised chemistry in form class and my studies and got confused but I'll work it out! Went slightly ahead in math with one of my friends and we also got a bit confused but it's all good! (They made me listen to some of Hozier's new songs and I already loved that man but I gotta listen to him more). And on that note, Hozier, Of Monsters And Men and Florence + The Machine are just amazing together! 🎶 The vibes are just immaculate ✨️

Tomorrow:

I will follow a time blocked schedule and keep that going for a few days, well see how it goes

walk my dogs
