well I was today years old when i found out a futuristic take on Winslow's mask can be seen for a couple of frames in the Infinity Repeating music video

#Random Access Memories #Daft Punk #my people. it's nowhere near so intense.#this isn't Thomma and Gee plotting away to make more money #this is a remix album that—whether you like it or not—does have artistic merit to it #I'm sure that if Thomma and Gee wanted money they'd do a tour or something #it could be the lowest-effort tour and you know they'd make millions #(FWIW: I'm in love with the piano-voix vibe of Drumless Within)#(and I definitely ordered the CD)#(and plan on ordering one (1) piece of limited-edition merch on my next paycheque)#whether you like the concept or not there is artistic merit to this album #as much as there is with any other sort of remix album

I just remembered that time in high school where my French teacher made us watch a specific Youtube video for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"...because Daft Punk are French...and I think that was the only reason. 😅

#I don't even remember if she liked that song and that's also why she showed it to us?#let me just say though that I'm pretty sure she was the only teacher at my high school who would play fucking Daft Punk IN CLASS.#all the other teachers were too old or strictly into country music (or both) or simply not cool enough (or all three)#but I'm kinda biased because she was my favorite teacher. :')

I'm so excited about my boyfriend's gift for tmrw I'm so happy with it

#so first it's like a vinyl #its human after all cus its the last daft punk studio album he doesn't have #and then on it I put like candy I know he likes #a tea im not sure he will like but its tea #nail polishes #and I will put some written notes I think as well #so it's all kind of filled up #his best friend said my boyfriend would maybe even fall in love with me if I gave him that album 😭 so I hope he'll love it
