Why is Demeter so absent during the Gigantomachy? we get a lot of goddesses defeating giants (Athena, Artemis, the Moirai, Hekate, Hera) but nothing on Demeter?

Telemachus x blessed by Hestia reader
Chapter one : a warmth like home
His first memories of her were vague, nothing more than a drop in the ocean of his memory. However, she had found her way into his head and never left.
Telemachus was only a child when he first saw her, on that dry winter's day. He was still too young to see the true nature of the men who invaded the palace of Ithaca. To see the damage Demeter's grief was causing. Yet the young prince often heard the maids speak of her, in whispers and gossip. "Child of the hearth", "gift of the gods", "guardian of the fire". So many words used to describe a little girl, seeming rather to evoke something divine.
The courtiers were like a poison that gradually spread to every corner of Ithaca. The children's laughter had fallen silent, replaced by loud mockery. The corridors, once lit by the soft glow of the sun, were now dirty and desolate. Odysseus seemed to have taken the soul of his island with him when he left for Troy.
Antinous had had far too much to drink tonight, and the encouragement of his companions only made him madder. Telemachus, sitting at his mother's feet, felt his anger increase with every obscenity he shouted. He, a little boy, could respect his mother, the graceful Penelope of Sparta. So why did men claiming to be courting her turn up every night and harass her like this?
The clamor of the men grew louder with each passing second, like the howling of a wolf pack before a hunt. The maids left discreetly, their heads lowered, and Telemachus felt the courage of his young heart flicker like a flame in the wind. Suddenly, a menacing silhouette detached itself from the group of men. The glow of the torches reflected off his dark skin, and his red tunic evoked the blood he so loved to spill in countless fights. He approached Penelope slowly, each step testing her, preparing to seize her. But the Queen remained dignified, silently weaving on, now carrying the King's honor on her shoulders.
It wasn't the first time Antinous was trying to force her, unfortunately, far from it.
Antinous stopped in front of Penelope, letting out a mocking laugh before sighing:
"Let's see, Queen of Ithaca. The King's been gone for 5 years already and you're still thinking about him? So let me...... discover what old Odysseus loved so much".
In an impulse of indignation, Telemachus stood up, his little face taut with anger. This man was leading those who were destroying his life, his home, his father's dignity, and he dared to speak of his mother like a common whore?
"Shut up! My mom deserves better than you! "
The words, fiery with passion, had escaped the young prince's mouth before he could think any further. Under normal circumstances, when Antinous was sober, he would have mocked Telemachus' words, would have launched the other courtiers into countless taunts. But alcohol destroyed his thoughts, fueled the fire in his soul.
Antinous grabbed a handful of Telemachus' hair, his eyes wide and his mouth forming a menacing sneer. Penelope had stopped her work, frozen at the sight of her son being manhandled in this way, the way her child was threatened. She should have intervened, had to intervene, but that would only make the situation more difficult.
Telemachus let out a small yelp of pain, a veil of tears covering his eyes as he tried to remove Antinous' fingers from his soft black locks. Antinous simply tightened his grip with a sneer and exclaimed:
"My companions! Who thinks the little prince deserves to learn a lesson the hard way? "
But before anyone could reply, a soft voice was heard:
"Stop right there Antinous....."
Telemachus turned his head with difficulty towards the origin of the sound. And his heart raced when he saw her, with a mixture of fear and curiosity. A child, hidden by a long crimson cloak, was playing with an old stray cat by the fire . The fabric of her cape was covered with flames embroidered in gold thread, and her worn leather sandals had orange straps. But it was when she revealed her face that the Prince's heart stopped. Her eyes were the color of flames, two orbs blending yellow, orange and red in perfect harmony.
Some courtiers, annoyed by her intervention, moved towards her, joined by Melanthius and Antinous. The two chatted for a brief moment before Melanthius rushed towards the little girl, raising his hand to slap her across the face.
She didn't seem bothered at all, preferring to clean the ashes that had accumulated on the cat's paws before declaring, "You, who have so abused Xenia, Melanthius, slapping an envoy of the gods will not appease Lord Zeus's resentment towards you." These simple words were enough to unsettle the courtiers, who all calmed down and returned to their usual huddle. Even Antinous returned to his seat, giving him a nasty look as he passed by her.
When night fell and Telemachus was ready to sleep, snuggled against his mother's chest, a question crossed his mind.
In a tiny voice, he whispered, "Mom? Why was Antinous afraid of the girl? And who is she?" A long silence passed before Penelope answered in a weary voice, her fingers tracing the branches of the olive tree that served as her bed.
With a deep sigh, she declared, "It's....a Girl blessed by Hestia Hestia. We found her asleep amidst the ashes, a few days after your father left. She's your age, and honestly, that child is a true angel. Antinous is afraid of her because she plays at scaring him, but what you saw of her isn't her true personality, far from it..."
Telemachus let out a soft sigh of admiration, his sleepy mind wandering into a world of ideas about this girl blessed by Hestia. With a mischievous smile, he looked at his mother and exclaimed, "She must be as strong as Achilles!"
Penelope let out a laugh as he ruffled her hair and replied, "It is true that she possesses more humility and patience than that great warrior..."
This answer satisfying him, Telemachus snuggled up to his mother again, and before closing his eyes, muttered, "Tomorrow, I will go see her to ask her to play... and tell herthat her eyes are beautiful..."

(Lore Rekindled ask)
What does TGOEM do? I thought it'd be an organisation for those who swore virginity but it seems to be more of a women's support group? Asking because I thought Dating would be banned but Hestia reacted positively when Persephone told her she was in a relationship, so is it just that they can't have sex and that's why it's okay? Or is TGOEM only named because Athena, Hestia, and Artemis are running it and has nothing to do with their expectations of it's members (Eternal celibacy)?
So I've changed the functioning of TGOEM because, in execution with LO, it made zero sense for there to be some kind of "virgin only club" led by traditionally aroace goddesses who turned out to be lesbians sleeping together which then disbanded as soon as Persephone didn't want to be a virgin. Considering LO is trying to "deconstruct purity culture" and be "feminist", really all the message came across as was "virginity bad! celibacy bad! asexuality bad! women need to be having sex and popping out babies to be fulfilled! lesbian sex is a loophole and doesn't count!" There is lots to be said about how "virgin only" clubs like TGOEM perpetuate purity culture in a very unhealthy way, but none of that really got explored in LO at all, with most of it being shoved onto Demeter as the sole perpetrator with Hestia and Athena being relegated to hypocrites who were secretly sleeping with each other.
So with TGOEM in Rekindled, I wanted to explore it more as an actual women's support group. There are women in the group who are aroace, there are women in the group who are victims of assault, there are women in the group who are grieving after the death of their partners, etc. The group runs different meetings throughout each week for different purposes and groups of women, and it hosts events to give back to the wider community outside of their own members. Kore also has her own reasons for attending but we haven't gotten into those yet. Like Barley Mother, it operates as a co-op, made up entirely of volunteers and relying on donations and bartering.
In light of that, there is still a reason why it's called TGOEM - The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood - as its founding was more for the purpose of protecting goddesses and nymphs from forced marriages and empowering aroace women, but now in the more "modern" era of the story's setting, it's evolved into more of a community for women of all circumstances to empower each other and find safety and comfort in one another. That felt a lot more fitting for Hestia to do than enforcing virginity on people. She's also not in a relationship with Athena in this one, they're both aroace and are more akin to strong platonic companions who enjoy each other's company and working together on TGOEM rather than lovers. Artemis doesn't run the group, but she's been in it for a very long time and was one of Kore's first friends within the group.
Sooo yeah! The reason Hestia responded positively to Kore dating someone is because the group is goal-driven and seeking new, healthier relationships is a goal for many of the women in the group. It's not an anti-dating / anti-sex group, they just want to give their members a safe space to share their news - good and bad - and give them tools to navigate their life outside of the group ( ´ ∀ `)ノ~ ♡

Already posted this on my Zeus rp blog but whatever
Hear me Out: Olympus sitcom AU
The series follows each 12 pantheonic gods (+ Hades) living in Mount Olympus, an apartment complex inside of New York (bc my dumbest knows nothing about modern greece)
Obviously, the family tree is a LOT different in this AU
Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus are all related.
Hera only has 1 sister (Hestia)
Demeter is related to NOBODY, not even Persephone (though the two are good friends in the AU)
Athena and Ares are siblings, same with Artemis and Apollo
Nobody else in the group is related in any way, shape, or form.
FUN FACT: ZEUS, POSEIDON AND HADES WENT TO COURT.
That's right 10 year old Zeus, 13 year old Poseidon, and 15 year old Hades were sent to court for the collective attempted murder of their father, Kronos. Luckily, there was enough evidence that Kronos was an abusive piece of shit, so they got off the charges for self-defense, and Kronos was sentenced to 40 years of prison.
Athena is studying for a degree in architecture (bc I just feel like she'd be into that shit). Athena can and WILL gush about her favorite types of stone material if she gets the chance to do so. Athena's 100% Aroace, but since this AU takes place in the 1980s, she just thinks she hasn't found the right guy yet
Apollo has a pretty face, but the second he opens his mouth, he's spouting shit about the newest black hole discovery. Him and Athena (despite being different in almost every way) get along VERY well
I'll answer questions about the other Olympians later but that's it for now
The show (hypothetically) begins with Aphrodite leaving her fiance (Heph :3) at the altar, causing the whole group to fall into chaos. Heph is obviously heartbroken that the woman he loves left him, but he'll still try being friends with her (though early on he has very "nice guy" energy)
One side is on Aphrodite's side. They know Aph and Heph were just too different to commit to a marriage. It was bound to happen eventually. Aphrodite thought she was in love, but it was never meant to be. She loved Hephaestus, but not in the way he wanted hernto. (that side consists of Apollo, Artemis, Poseidon, Ares, Hades, and Hera)
The other side is on Hephaestus' side. This was the happiest day of his life, and Aphrodite (who was a huge player before she got with Heph) let all of that go like 30 minutes before the wedding was meant to begin just because it "didn't feel right." I mean, what kind of asshole leaves someone they've known for years at the altar!? (That side consists of Zeus, Dionysus, Hermes, Demeter, and Athena... for some reason)
I'm planning on making this a series of comics, but I wanna know if anyone else would like this!
As a thank you for reading, have this Doodle of tiny Hades, Poseidon and Zeus in court

Gonna do some descriptions of the big six because yes (+ Metis) based on my headcannons and writing i do for them. Enjoy!
Zeus: Cocky, and loud. He is prideful and cheerie, smile always on his face. A happy-go-lucky kinda guy, and a bit egocentric, pompous and flashy, to the point he sometimes forgets about considering the people around him, not out of malice, he just sometimes gets lost in the spotlight. Still, a big golden heart lies within him, making him a kind man. Yet, he is not very good at handling things under pressure sometimes.
Poseidon: Emotional and Volatile. Its not just anger, but every emotion Poseidon feels he shows on his skin. As easy as he gets mad he also gets sad and happy, moody as the tides. He gets excited by new things and his love is a deep as the ocean. He's also very silly and funny, a complete riot to be around! He barely has an attention spam but he's trying his best guys.
Hades: Quiet and Cold. He is direct, straight to the point, and seems emotionless to the point to be scary sometimes. Yet don't be decieved for the cold demeanor. He feels the biggest pressure as the eldest and everything he does is always on the sake of protecting his family. Making his action speak louder than his words. That being said, he can be pretty mercyless to those who dare lay fingers upon his loved ones
Hera: Fancy and Ruthless. She's the kind of gal who knows a little thing about EVERYTHING. Yet her being a bit of a bookworm doesn't mean she is soft-spoken. If anything she can be rather cruel and bossy. The gal has a temper but she never looses her razzle dazzle neither. The queen of sarcasm. Still, deep down she's a bit of a nervous wreck trying her best, so maybe the mean attitude is to cover up for an insecurity or two? Who knows?
Demeter: Honest and Firm. A hard-working gal who doesn't mind doing some of the heavy lifting. She sticks to her believes and there's nothing that can move her when she puts her mind to something. Completly obstinated for sure, with no fear to tell the truth as it is. But for as rough as her outside looks, she has a tender heart who cares deeply for her loved ones well-beings. Always making sure their bellies are full and their spirits high. She won't start a fight but she would sure as heck end it.
Hestia: Caring and Gentle. The mom friend 100%. She's not fond of violance in any way, prefering to stay by the sides and support in the combat in other ways. But push her too far and you'll end up burnt. She's the one always making sure her family is doing well, checking constantly on them. Sometimes a bit too much, which can make her anxious and worried sometimes. When her brain starts to worry, its hard to stop it. She stress-bakes. Still, there's no one as sweet, soft-spoken, and caring as Hestia. As the other eldest, she also feels that the family is her personal responsibility.
Metis: Clever and Wild. A cunning gal, nothing escapes her. Metis analizes EVERYTHING. She's quick to come with solutions which is useful when your also quick to get in trouble. Truly the wild card of the team, who has saved their butts in more than one ocassion. Even then, she doesn't consider herself as that important, her low selfsteam blinding her for just how valuable she is for those around her. Alas, she's just a nymph and she isn't even good at been a nymph.
As an extra, i like to think Hera and Metis as two sides of the same coin, which is something i will explore more in the future. They're both clever and very alike, yet deep down they wish they were more like the other.
That's all! Feel free to ask questions for this silly headcannons if you wish fellas!

sneak peek of the Titanomachy (the night after Zeus rescues them) lil olympians shot
@unubinary @thel1ghtningthief @meepmoopmaap @fluffanonn
@bodeyeen2132
This made me sad😭 They're just kids.
[Hestia's pov]
*There's some mythological inaccuracy as Zeus is said to have had 'come of age' for the Titanomachy but i said fuck that so I could draw parallels.*
Her siblings were all crowded around the new one— Zeus.
“What are you doing?” She called softly from the fire.
Demeter, her first sister, looked up from their huddle. “Inspecting him,” she said in hushed tones, “He’s so...clean”.
Hestia sighed softly, turning away from her fire, shuffling across the floor on her knees. She wasn’t used to using her legs, none of them were, all except Zeus. Being trapped so long wasn't healthy for the muscles and she didn't want to wake Zeus if she fell.
“Were we ever that clean?” Hades asked when she came close enough, happy to make room for her in their circle as there finally was room to make.
“When we were new,” Hestia replied softly, looking over their Saviour.
He was young, maybe too young — though Hestia didn't have a frame of reference for what ‘too young’ meant at that point. In a few centuries she’d say he was as young as Percy Jackson when he faced the same very same titan...maybe even younger than that. They were all too young.
He had long black hair like the sky outside the cave. His skin was tawny and soft, but his body was well defined like he had been raised in sunny lands on nothing but the finest bread and goat's milk.
Demeter was right, he was cleaner, she thought.
He even smelt clean, pure, like rain, though she never experienced rain yet. He hadn't sat in putrid darkness alone for a few years like her, or cried in her arms like Demeter and Hera, or —
“He’s kinda cute,” Demeter murmured, cutting her out of her thoughts.
Poseidon scoffed, “He’s a shrimp”.
Hades tilted his head, “What’s a shrimp?”
Poseidon shrugged, “type of crustacean”.
“What’s a crustacean—”
“Shh both of you!” Hera hissed, “You’ll wake him up!” She looked back down at Zeus and tenderly brushed a stray black curl from his cheek. A soft, fond expression Hestia did not know how to name crossing her face.
Hestia smiled. Had they anything to compare it to, the others would have teased her about how motherly she was being. Instead, they went silent.
Hestia looked at them all gathered, engraving their features in her mind now that she could see them in light brighter than the measly little flame she often held in her hand before.

Saw the post about the Chain and their god domains and my greek mythos obsessed brain got scritched so here is the Chain as Greek gods/mythos:
Time: The old man gave me such a hard time. absolutely going insane over him. He’s Hades. being one of the big three (this fucker split the timeline (almost like how the underworld is split)). Ive never finished MM or OoT but i believe the lore is that all the masks are possessed to put it simply, thus the spirits granting link his power, making Time a maestro of the dead. Many interpretations of hades also depict him as cunning, a trickster, while also being stern, much like our resident little shit (affectionate). Hermes was a big contender here for that reason.
Sky: This was a toss up but im gonna have to say Zeus honestly, mister Godslayer himself. less of a connection between their personalities honestly and more just focusing on their similar dynamics, skills, and symbolism. Obviously we have our favorite lightning motif, plus the position of leadership they both share - in the sense that zeus is more or less the leader of the gods and sky being the ‘leader’ so to speak of the timeline. Plus the parallels between demise and kronos, and zeus/sky’s respective roles there. It was between the big man or persephone.
Twilight: Artemis!! Our very literal leader of the pack. Goddess of the hunt, patron of animals, domain over the moon (cough twilight cough). Though, Demeter and hestia were fighting me here, the fursona won over the country bumpkin sadge.
Warriors: You are Athena! badass in the arena! /ref. Honestly, i feel like i should be assigning them their ‘obvious’ gods and then give them one that attaches to them more symbolically. Yes, everyone’s favorite captain is THE captain goddess. Cunning, strategist, warhead, intelligent, and alot of people forget that Athena is both charismatic and incredibly physically beautiful, in most adaptations. she was in the lineup for paris and guided the trojan war. I forget who it was on here that is a big “wars = helen of troy” truther but theyre absolutely so correct.
Legend: Also a tricky toss up, but i ultimately landed on apollo. Apollo’s known for being a sort of jack of all trades god, between his dominion over the sun, medicine, music, archery, and more. With the vet’s all encompassing experience, with his multitude of instruments and proficiencies in different magical items it made sense. Me, personally, I loved the stories of apollos shape-shifting mortal ventures more than say zeus or any of the other gods. Also, depending on your characterization of the vet, their supposed personalities line up quite well, with apollo being charming and somewhat arrogant/snarky with others
Hyrule: This feels left-field but rulie gets to be Persephone! Adept with magic, goddess of fertility and the harvest and just general growth (of nature), with the double edge of being the queen of the underworld. Ugh im so obsessed with downfall duo rulie is so tragic. left with a desolate wasteland, yet (depending on characterization) ushering in and doing his damndest to nurture life and growth. I love the headcanons where rulie is a survivalist through and through, proficiencies in botany and herbology, respect for the land and its inhabitants.
Wild: Demeter! Wild is of the land, they are one and the same. The way his world is absolutely teeming with life, and the way he is molded to adapt and live with the land to complete his adventure,,, ugh its too good. He is the most in tune with the wolves, the bees, the cows, the reeds, the flowers, the dragons, the spirits, they ARE him. he woke up with NOTHING, except a vast land full to bursting with life and lessons.
Four: Hephaestus, obviously. dont get me wrong, I love four so much, but anything else felt blasphemous (The way i could write essays about it—). He is the god of blacksmithing, if i assigned him anything else i fear he may just manage to kill me.
Wind: Notos! God of the east Wind, known for the bringing of summer, cyclones, and warmth. love that funky little whirlwind hes so fun and spunky. being a god of wind was so on the nose it was too good. I didnt ever consider poseidon, winds too squishy and fluid for that. this kid is bouncing around like a cat 5 hurricane he is the wind, he is free (to cause chaos).
Ugh i love yapping about the mythologies. i may do this again except with minor gods/demigods (i will get back to that legend-achilles parallel i swear). I hope this was amusing to you
OKAY OKAY GO OFF!!!!
(I’m a huge Wars = Helen of Troy truther, I ain’t the only one, but I’ve yapped about it a lot akdkkdk)
you absolutely ate this up on my god i agree i agree i agree i agree. LEGEND AND ACHILLES?? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP IF YOU EVER FEEL LIKE YAPPIN ABOUT THAT THE FLOOR IS YOURS AND THE ASK BOX IS OPEN ID LOVE TO HEAR IT

Thinking about young teen Zeus who has built up this expectation of his siblings in his head for so long that when he finally meets them and they don't immediately love and revere him, or act the way he was expecting (basically as he is, but with full deference to his authority), or even respect his authority because they don't know him , eventually sends him into a panic attack at some point. He doesn't like they they're so comfortable with each other and don't treat him as casually as they do one another.
But he also hates when they do treat him casually, when they treat him like a little kid, when they question his authority or try to suggest their own ideas because he's been preparing for this war his entire life, they don't need to have their own ideas, he's planned everything himself for years, he has backup and contingency plans, they just need to do exactly what he says and it will be fine.
He's been preparing and planning and anticipating the end goal of killing their father and taking his throne, with them by his side, loyal and obedient to his word, and now reality is setting in and he is terrified.
He doesn't understand them. Their choices don't make sense. They ignore him when he corrects him. They don't hold their weapons properly, fighting differently than the way he teaches.
The girls are not as demure as the nymphs he was raised by. Hestia is the softest of them all and she still sets fire with her bare hands, letting their enemies burn without a blink. Demeter is easily angered and far too petty. She moves his things because she knows he'll hate it. She'll proudly tell him so until he apologizes for whatever transgression she feels he's made. He doesn't understand any of the things that upset her. Hera is much more quiet, but still questions every choice he makes, every placement of his cup on the table, and hmmms her way through his explanations, before telling him he's wrong.
Poseidon is a bastard who never listens to anyone except the eldest two and even then it's barely. He knocks things over with his giant grand gestures and never puts them back in the right place. Hades is too quiet, too observant, too calm. It unsettles Zeus. He doesn't like that shadows twist and turn to him, the primordial reaching for him in a way they've never reached for Zeus.
It's too much. It's too overwhelming. Conversations don't go how he thinks they will, how he's mapped out in his head. He has to reassess his plans to suit their behaviours, their annoying stubborn suggestions. His perfected schemes, studied and manipulated until he could guarantee complete success of every infiltration, of every battle, are falling apart before his eyes, shredded by the very people he believed would follow them without defiance.
It builds and builds and builds until it's too much to keep him. But he can't explode, not yet. Besides he doesn't know how. Throwing screaming tantrums and bursting out the lightning and windstorms that tingle beneath his skin is too obvious and he has to hide, has to be quiet, has to be good, or his father will find him and swallow him whole.
So he implodes like he always does, alone in dark, tucked up in the corner of his room. Tears dribble down his cheeks as he holds his breath, keeps his voice low. He will never give anyone a reason to question his authority. He cannot seem weak.
He panics until there's nothing left in him, until he can breathe easy again. The discomfort, the unsettlement, the brash feelings that he's not safe never leaves, but it dulls to a manageable ache at the back of his head. He wipes his face clean of weakness, gathers up a mask of strength and readies himself to go back out into the fray.

While the Benefits of Mortality AU is one of the AUs I love the most, I’m also very intrigued by your Winter Soldier AU is that the name that stuck for that au- as well! I’m curious to know if you’ve had any other scenarios for it :0? 📺
Hey TV Anon!!! And yeah, that does seem to be the name that stuck for it so far! I do have some more stuff for it, but I'm going to put it under a cut because this AU gets Dark. And I get very, very mean to Apollo and Athena.
So one thing I've decided is that during the original Titan War, and it was a War here, not just a single battle like it was made out to be in PJO, Olympus kept prisoners to keep their enemies from continually coming back.
They were kept in warded rooms that basically blocked prayers and encouraged doubt that anyone was coming to save them.
The rooms were created by Hecate, they're basically half runic mist manipulation and half bullshit Titan mind magic.
I'm bringing this up because those are where Zeus trained Apollo and Athena.
The two of them aren't old enough to know what the rooms previously were, and as a result they don't know that the rooms are warded.
That's part of why the two of them never reached out to any of the others, because they both prayed to them for help and were, from their own perspectives, ignored and left to suffer.
Hades is the first one to realize just how isolated Apollo and Athena truly are on Olympus, because he was isolated in a very similar, though slightly less intentional, way after he became Lord of the Underworld.
He realizes it because when the meeting is called about dethroning Zeus, he's the one that has to mention that Apollo and Athena weren't there yet when the others want to start. Even Hestia didn't mention them being gone.
Then it's revealed that Ares and Artemis were supposed to be the ones to tell them about the meeting and the two of them deliberately hadn't because they believed they'd snitch to Zeus.
Another thing is that during the Titanomachy, there was this thing called a Brand. It was basically a dark mark from Harry Potter(deragatory, but I can't figure out another way to put it) it allowed the brander to call for the person that was branded and could be used to cause pain from a distance.
They were typically used by the Titans on minor gods and people that were considered too valuable to be disposable help, but weren't trusted not to desert if given the opportunity.
They were created using the blood of immortals; the brander, the branded, and occasionally a third party if the brand needed to be placed on someone particularly strong.
They were outlawed after the war, forbidden by the fledgling Olympian Council in their first unanimous vote.
Zeus put brands on both Apollo and Athena, using a third party's blood to ensure it took.
For Apollo he used Athena's blood, as a reminder to them both that it was her fault he was dragged in in the first place.
For Athena he used Pallas's blood after he forced her to kill her. As a reminder that she was a weapon and nothing more.
This becomes a problem because in order to remove a brand, you need the blood of the participants. And Pallas has been dead for millennia by the time the Olympians realize something is going on.
They end up having to call in Hecate, and after a bunch of research she discovers that they can negate the first brand by placing another over the top of it, binding her to someone more powerful than Zeus and Pallas.
Athena chooses Hades and Apollo to be the ones to place it.
The Olympians are kind of offended that she didn't choose Queen Hestia for it.
Demeter makes a comment in poor taste about Hades turning Athena on Olympus if he gets upset, and Apollo and Athena are both so offended on his behalf that they drop their usual polite masks and straight up threaten to remove her ability to speak. Which they could both technically do in a variety of ways.
(I kinda want Apollo to go dark as hell and threaten to lobotomize her because it used to be considered a legitimate medical treatment in the 30's and I think Apollo should get to be terrifying)
Also, I've figured out how I want the final battle to go. A lot of the Olympians aren't part of it at the start anymore, and it starts because Apollo, after Hades tells him and Athena that he'll help them if the two ever need it, sacrifices his own blood to Hades in desperation after Zeus gets word that the others are planning to overthrow him.
Blood is one of the most powerful offerings a god can be given, particularly willingly given blood. And the willingly given blood of a god? That's on a level nobody but Apollo has ever experienced before.
(He learned in the Giant War when Ares was captured in the bronze jar. Ares sacrificed blood to him in his desperation to be saved. It's to this day the most powerful offering he's ever received).
The insanely powerful offering is enough for the prayer to get through the wards because they haven't been properly maintained since the Titan War, and gives Hades enough strength to break through them when he follows the link back to Apollo.
The link is why gods don't typically pray or sacrifice to each other. It temporarily forges a bond between the two that can potentially be exploited for information. It basically lets them read each other's thoughts.
Hades is actually a little overwhelmed at first by how Apollo notices everything around him. He's preceptive to such an extent that it's almost precognitive. And there are even moments where it actually is precognition.
This helps Hades a lot in the fight with Zeus once he gets used to processing information from a secondary source. And when the link breaks after the fight, he turns to Apollo and is like "Do you deal with that amount of information all the time?" And Apollo is just very bluntly like "yes, always."
When Hades arrives after Apollo's sacrifice, Athena and Apollo are already seriously wounded.
Zeus was punishing them because he overheard Ares talking to Aphrodite about how he was certain Athena and Apollo would snitch to Zeus about their plans.
Zeus manages to trigger Athena's condition during the battle and aims her at Hades.
He also gets Apollo, but Apollo manages to throw it off. It takes a bit though, during which Hades has to fight all three of them.
Apollo manages to break out right as the other Olympians finally show up, so he takes over fighting Athena while Hades and the others fight Zeus.
Athena eventually just collapses, her numerous wounds becoming too much on top of all the energy she was expending fighting.
Apollo joins the fight against Zeus after that and makes a notable difference, but Zeus keeps attempting to trigger his conditioning again so he has to fall back.
And now some lighter bits because this got darker than I intended!
Because Hades was the first one to ever answer one of their prayers, as well as the one that fought Zeus for the longest, Athena and Apollo view him as their savior. They're adorably protective of him, especially considering that he's one of the Big 3 and very much does not need it.
When Hades realizes that the two aren't comfortable on Olympus even after Zeus has been dethroned, he offers to have them stay in the Underworld for a while. He doesn't really expect them to accept, because the Underworld is usually really uncomfortable for Olympians, but when they do he's really happy about it. He likes showing off his home and doesn't get to do it very often.
Athena and Triton reunite after Zeus is dethroned. They both cry when it happens. She calls him Dad and he calls her little owl.
I've got more, but my head hurts and I've been working on this for a while now. Thank you for the ask TV Anon!!!!

seeds of death for the wip ask game :3c
thank you <3 That's my Hades & Persephone AU (which is very close to my myth-loving heart). Here's the very first paragraph:
“What lies beyond the mountains, father?” There were many answers to that question. A smile sealing lips. Silence that spoke for itself. Shadows whirling in brown eyes, so gentle, yet frozen in a different time. Sometimes there were words: Empty lives and rich lands that offer nothing of worth, my son; chaos; darkness; war. Thorfinn didn’t know what those words meant. The way Thors stared at the horizon scared him. Still, whenever his curiosity got the better of him he asked and he listened, hoping for a different answer. Longing to see, if not with his eyes, then with his heart.
I think I shared the Greek gods counterparts of the Vinland Saga characters in this AU in our discord before, but never here, so here they are:
The High Twelve
God of Death/God of Wisdom & battle strategy (Hades & Athena) - Askeladd Goddess of Grain/Harvest/Growth/Nourishment (Demeter) - Helga God of War (Ares) - Thorkell God of the Sea (Poseidon) - Leif Ericson God of the Sky/thunder/lightning (Zeus) - Sweyn God of music/art/knowledge/healing (Apollo) - Canute Goddess of Love (Aphrodite) - Arnheid Goddess of the hunt/animals/young girls (Artemis) - Hild God of wine/party/madness (Dionysus) - Garm God of fire/metal-working/crafts (Hephaestus) - Einar Goddess of women/marriage/childbirth... Do you have to follow ancient tradition to be an Hellenic Polytheist?
Hello! Welcome to my very first official passion blog post! I hope you enjoy reading it and do let me know what you think! <3
I would like to start right off the bat and say that Hellenism, otherwise known as Hellenic Polytheism, can be a very vast topic to explore, and even with the depth that I provide in this post, I don't think I will ever be able to convey everything correctly. It is also important to note that this post is mostly theoretical, and philosophical in nature. My sources you may ask? Well, that's just it, my sources are the many things I have read, and learned over the past year about being a Hellenist. I cannot provide a direct source to what I know as to me it is now common knowledge.
I will go ahead and say that I do not represent the entirety of the community who worships these gods. I am just one person, and this post and my blog is just my perspective on our shared spirituality. I don't know everything, and frankly, I am sure neither do you, dear reader. Let us all remember a remarkable quite by Socrates;
"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing" - Socrates
This post will discuss the following:
A general definition of what a Hellenic Polytheist is.
A description of what ancient traditions and customs were like.
How ancient tradition, and customs can change to accommodate our modern era
Do you have to practice ancient tradition to be considered a Hellenic Polytheist?
What is a Hellenic Polytheist?
To answer this question simply, an Hellenic Polytheist is a individual who practices Hellenism - the ancient Greek religion. A Hellenic Polytheist simply believes in the gods of Greece as being the divine powers over the universe itself. One who is not familiar with these gods may know their names from just pure happenstance. Their names consist of; Zeus, Hera, Apollon, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, Athena, Dionysus, Poseidon, Demeter, and last but certainly never least, Hestia. Yet, there are countless of other gods, daemons, heroes, titans, and primordials that fall into the pantheon of the Greek gods. However, some Hellenist only worship a handful of gods, or all the gods, or just primordials, or perhaps just titians, and some even worship only one of the gods. The range of gods that you worship in Hellenism can vary from person to person, just as it varied from city to city in ancient times. Interestingly enough, Hellenism even has an element of animism to it.
A great example would be the many personified deities the Greeks had. Thanatos - the personification of death, and Hypnos - the personification of sleep, are just the tip of the iceberg when talking about personified deities. Another example of animism in Hellenism, would be the many nymphs whom are believed to frolic around in the forests, seas, rivers, and more. Both personified deities, and nymphs seem to be powers whom encompass the human condition, or nature itself. Mother Gaia is another example, whom is seen as mother nature, or the earth herself in some views.
What did ancient tradition look like?
What about the tradition behind the worship of these gods? Well in traditional Hellenism, there were structures in place that would determine if you were ready to approach the gods in worship. Typically, in ancient Hellenic tradition one would have to rid themselves of any "Miasma" or otherwise known as "spiritual dirtiness" before ever approaching the gods for worship or prayer. The concept of Miasma is not to be confused with the Christian concept of "sin", rather Miasma was seen as a spiritual fifth, often acquired by being among the dead - this included being in the presence of blood, death, illnesses, or fighting in a war. Some claim that Miasma can also come from sexual acts. With Miasma being such a feared thing in ancient times, purification became an essential part to the practice.
When addressing the gods after a purification of Miasma was completed, one would then commence in ritual, or prayer to the gods. Most often the first and last prayer of the ritual was given to Hestia - the goddess of the hearth and home. It was believed that Hestia was the center of the home, and without her fire burning within the home, the home would surly parish. Of course, a home does not have to be a building, it could also be a family, or a group of people you are close with. Most often after addressing and giving to Hestia, libations would then be poured to other gods.
Libations where an essential part of ancient Hellenic practice, and they were often the only type of offering given to the gods by some. For some, Hellenism is not Hellenism without the offering of libations. Libations were poured liquids. The liquids would consist of water, or wine most often. It was said that libations poured to the gods should not be drank, but instead poured into the ground to return the liquid to the gods. After all you offered the liquid to the gods, it is technically now theirs.
There were likely many other types of offerings given to the gods in ancient times. In fact, some have excavated votive offerings to the gods that were buried in the ground. There is so-so-so much more that goes into ancient Hellenic practice, however, I cannot go through them all here, as that would literally require me to write a book. Goodness, even the customs, and ancient traditions are a huge mouthful to explain - this is just the very tip of the iceberg.
How ancient tradition, and customs can change to accommodate our modern era
One might say that the ancient tradition never changed and will never change. However, is that really the case? How could it be? Everything changes at some point, right? Well, it depends on who you ask really. Re-constructionists (Recons) of the ancient Hellenic practice would argue that one should practice the exact way that the ancients practiced the tradition. The thing is this is a very hard thing to replicate to full accuracy in the modern day. There are people out there who have tried to replicate an ancient ritual to the gods to an absolute spitting-image. The problem? They still had to substitute items into the ritual because they simply didn't have access to the items that the ancients used for their honorings. So even Recons must stray away from tradition.
Revivalists are more lenient and would tell you to take what vibes with you and leave what doesn't vibe with you (for the most part). A revivalist is more likely to accept the fact we live in modern times, and our world is modernized, and because of this, we can honor the gods in modernized ways, as we see fit, so long as we remain respectful of the gods. The practice is modernized, but the gods are still ancient.
Other worshipers of the Greek gods may not even identify as Hellenists, and may be eclectic Witches, or Neo-pagans. This goes to show that Hellenism - the tradition, isn't what connects you to the gods. What connects you to the gods, is in fact - well, you! Yes, you have the ability to connect to the gods just as you are now.
In our modern world, it can be hard to cling to the past. This is why recons may be annoyed with revivalists, or Neo-pagans. Recons tend to have a harder time accepting the modernization of ancient practices, while revivalists, and other groups do not have this issue (again for the most part). A thing we must realize is, change is inevitable. Even the physical planet we live on itself has morphed its shape with tectonic movements countless times. The seasons too, are a great example of change. Everything goes through changes and phases. The sooner we take note of this the happier we will all be.
Do you have to practice ancient tradition to be considered a Hellenic Polytheist?
I must reveal for those who are concerned that I am not a Re-constructionist, although I am to a slight degree, I am mostly a revivalist. You could even consider me to be a hybrid; a Recon-Revivalist. it is my personal belief that tradition is only secondary to divine relationship and communication. You do not have to stress about performing an ancient ritual to absolute perfection in order to have a connection to the gods. To me, Hellenism is about the gods, and how you connect with them. In ancient times there would be communal rituals and cleansings of miasma, that multitudes of people would be able to participate as well as city-wide festival celebrations, and worship rituals. These people were capable of honoring the gods in the same environment, so it is no shock that they would have similar ways of worship to each other.
However, we live in a modern world, and we are modern people. While ancient tradition provides a much needed insight into the way the ancients went about worshiping their gods, and I do think it is only respectful that one would at least consider trying to do worship the way the ancients would have conducted it, that doesn't make it the end all be all for what Hellenism is. Think about the vast amount of philosophers, and philosophical wisdoms, and ideas passed down from the ancients. Not a single one of them thought about Hellenism, or the gods in the exact same way (to my knowledge). Due to this, we can come to realize that philosophical thinking is not something limited to the ancients. Everyone can think about life philosophically and come to see what they truly believe about themselves and about the world.
So, do I have a personal philosophy? Well, yes, but I would say as I learn, and grow myself, it can change as time goes on. I would say I have a tendency to take things from many different ancient philosophers. For example, I agree with Sallustius that the gods are pure good and are never the cause of unrest and heartache in our lives. That said, there are also many other things I believe in that are not of ancient context. I believe that true Hellenism in the modern day is most easily experienced in the eyes of the individual. In ancient times it was a communal tradition, now days it is harder to do so, and because of this it is much easier to be a solitary Hellenist rather than a Hellenist that is a part of a community. Not many of us have local temples to our gods, and that is a valid and real thing to understand. Our homes are our temples now.
I know the idea of straying away from strict ancient tradition may put some individuals off from my blog. However, I am willing to take that risk in order to be able to provide a safe place for fellow Hellenists to gather and read my blog; a blog written from the hands and mind of a Hellenic polytheist, for the eyes of other Hellenic Polytheists, or aspiring ones.
Conclusion - Do you need to practice ancient tradition?
So, in closing, to answer the question each and every one of you have been waiting for; no, you do not have to practice ancient tradition to be an Hellenic Polytheist. Just do you, stop batting around the thoughts and opinions of a million other people in your head, and get up, walk to your alter(s), and just pray. Connect with the gods, speak with the gods, grow a relationship with them. This is true Hellenism in my eyes. The relationship that you have with one or more of the gods is priceless, and it is something no human being could ever take away from you. So, cherish that relationship. Of course, this view could be seen as subjective, and that's okay, people deserve to think what they wish, but this will not change my personal viewpoint.
Above all respect each other's practices. A hardcore re-constructionist, and a more lenient revivalist are one in that when we consider that they worship the same gods. Neither of these groups should be viewed as any less of a Hellenic Polytheist either. We must learn to co-exist with one another without getting into arguments. Arguments only lead to a bad situation for each party involved. So, to settle this dispute, if at all possible, perhaps recons could be more lenient and accepting of revivalists and their more modernized traditions, and revivalists could perhaps explore parts of ancient tradition do resonate with their practice and incorporate those parts of ancient practice into their own.
I personally do find it important to consider ancient ways of practice when starting out your path, as the last thing we want to end up doing is appropriating a culture - that would be a no-no. That stated, I do also feel it is completely valid if one wishes to stray a bit away from tradition. Do you like offering libations? Yes? Good for you! Own it, it's your practice. Say you don't enjoy giving libations due to the possible inconvenience of having to return the liquid to the earth, or maybe you do not like that you can't consume the liquid offered to the Chthonic gods according to tradition. That's A-okay. You don't have to do libations, you can simply offer votive offerings like stones, rocks, crystals, anything physical really. Perhaps devotionals are more your speed. Good! Write a song, or a poem, or a story in honor of the gods and offer that work to them.
Whatever you are doing, you are doing it for you. You aren't doing it for anyone else but you. So, understand, especially those new to Hellenic Polytheism, that when I say it is okay to stray from tradition, that it is absolutely okay. Individual practice is individual practice, and it is very sacred to the individual, and no one can tell you how to do your individual practice. Don't listen to the people who try to control your practice for you. There is no way you can do your own personal practice wrong. The only way to go with your own practice is up.

Okay, so the realization is about Zeus but the headcanon itself is about everyone across the godly-generation and/or those who hold that as apart of their title/duties [ie: Titan-Gods, Primordial-Gods, God-Spirits, Spirit-Gods, etc]. It's about how the God Generation was created by the Fates with complete and utter freedoms concerning their powers and free will as opposed to the Titans who are controlled almost entirely by the Fates via their Purpose (pre-defined traits and positions given to each Titan who was born, such as if they would serve a combat role or even how many children they would have + what their children would do] or their respective Primordials for their Powers/Gifts [have not figured out which one they would be called yet]. They were created this way and created in general for Primordial Entertainment, as most Primordials had either become bored or tired of their domains and delegating out their domain's tasks, but it had an unexpected outcome: the concept of rebellion.
You see, Kronos's rebellion against Ouranos was planned. It was one of the main reasons why the generation of Titans came to be, along with the fact that the Primordials grew lazy but still had to perform their tasks as assigned by Primordial Khaos and enforced by Primordial Gaia. It was one of Kronos's main Purposes [to overthrow Primordial Ouranos] but it never helped that Ouranos was a horrible father. Furthermore, Koios, Hyperion, Krios and Iapetus were also Created and Meant to hold down Ouranos and become the four pillars of the earth. Of course, the Primordial Fates did not quite know what they were doing when pairing the Titan Kronos, who had a prophecy over his head stating that his children would kill him the same way he did his father, and the Titan Rhea, who had been dreaming of being a mother since she knew what the word meant, but the Fates went as the tapestries went. They were both dictating it and watching it be dictated. Everything was slowly falling into order as they fell into order, there was no One Thing that dictated all, not even Primordial Khaos.
Anyway, back to what that means. This means that the Titans don't at all have bodily autonomy, which affected almost every single part of their everyday lives. Husbands treat wives horribly, sisters and brothers rough-house meanly, fathers act like drill sergeants, and mothers smiled like nothing was wrong. Some of them knew it was wrong, like Rhea and Phoebe, while others accepted it or just lived in ignorance. There was nothing to be done, anyway, and so further down the family line you went, the more ignorant and accepting the Titans were. Despite all of this, despite all of the things that would spark a country-wide rebellion in the later years of humanity, the Titans did not think of rebellion. They could not think of rebellion. These things and these relationships were ingrained so deep in their being that they knew and could not think of another way. They knew the story of their origins; they knew the story of Kronos, but it was so inconceivably far away that nobody connected the dots.
Until Zeus came along. Eventually, Kronos caved to his Wife and Purpose and he and Rhea had 6 children. Hestia, who was a Titan but with the free-thinking of a God. Demeter, who had the power of a God but still held a Titan's Purpose. Hera, who was so in-tuned with her God-Hood that she could create new concepts and strategies unthought of before and even hold deep emotions such as Hate but had no Powers to think of. Hades who was more Primordial than Titan or God. Poseidon was was so tuned to his Power and the Earth that free-thinking was forced to come along with it. And, finally, Zeus who was perfect and everything the Fates imagined him to be. The Perfect God. The only one across the pantheon who had no other generation's blood or concepts running through his veins. And, since he had the power to think freely and with what will be human judgements, he saw the world and decided to Rebel.
For the first time in millions of years, a movement was brought on by something other than Fate. Many turned him away at first--thinking it preposterous and laughable as a Purpose. Others turned him away because they balked at the fact that any Primordial would allow him such power--Kronos was their ruler now, and a pretty good one. Even Rhea, who just wanted a child who she could raise and knew that this would eventually become her Purpose, was a little hesitant at how quickly he latched onto it and the reasons he gave. Yes, eating children was wrong but it was never her first thought of hate-. Nobody quite thought that this was the sign of a new generation coming around--most thought Zeus, from young to the middle of the Titan War, to be a weird Titan--but, to history and what would become of the gods, this was astronomical. This concept--free will and rebellion--would be the defining point going further into history.
But you know what realization's truly tripping me up about this concept? The fact that, truly, if Kronos decided to raise his children well, there will be no rebellion. Zeus would not rebel anyway because he was destined to or just because he could, because he would have been content with his life. Hera would be spiteful but she would not Hate. The others will embrace their Titan-Family with open arms because they are accepting. Of course, Zeus and Hera would raise their eyebrows at the way their cousins are treating each other and being treated, but that would soon be fixed. It will be written in their Purposes to be fixed :).

Lore Olympus Episode 264 Spoilers
Yet another episode of Persie being buttered up and told she did nothing wrong. Demeter, ily, you're one of the few bitches in this house that I respect but Persie is not "magnificient". And everything you said in your intervention was dead on.
More fertility goddess bullshit, when will it end. (Never because RS has a death grip on that particular mystery box.) Wouldn't it have made more sense for Demeter, Hera or Hestia to be the fertility goddesses of their generation? Instead of inventing another OC that was apparently killed before she could do anything of note?
But we needed something to further distract from the fact that Persie is once again doing nothing but feeling sorry for herself instead of actively trying to find a solution to the problems she caused. So unimportant flashback no.3487653486658 it is.
Hades is about to sleep-dive again because we've learned absolutely nothing from the Kronos encounter, I guess.

interview meme
——— character question sheet
▌real name: poseida. ▌single or taken:  married (verse dependent).
▌abilities or powers: water manipulation (no matter the source—such as blood, for example, or even sweat), magic (most notably illusions), healing hands, empathy and emotion manipulation, shapeshifting, transmutation, earth manipulation—and, by extension, metal manipulation as well (so long as there are earth particles within the metal)—weather manipulation, accelerated healing, enhanced condition (strength, speed, durability, agility, and more—with her flexibility being to the point of elasticity), enhanced senses, limited flight (via water wings spell), teleportation, life creation (various creatures—both mundane and magical—and the atlanteans), power bestowal, aura reading, lunar empowerment, forbidden knowledge projection, bioluminescence, telepathic communication (limited to equids and animals tied to the sea), limited precognition, mild omniscience (with relation to her domain), and immortality.
▌eye colour: the blue of the mediterranean sea with sea green swirling in the center (central heterochromia). ▌hair colour: red—the red of a fox. under the sun, the glints of gold that catch her hair makes her mane look like wildfire.
▌family members: kronos and rhea (birth parents); nereus (father figure and mentor); hestia, demeter, hera, hades, and zeus (siblings); many, many children (most of whom are adopted); also numerous nieces and nephews that she dotes on almost as much she does her own children (at least, when they were young). ▌pets: do mortal men count?
▌something they don’t like: people who go back on their word. people who do not know the meaning of the word honor even if it slapped them in the face. deception against an enemy is something she takes no issue with—deception against an ally, on the other hand, she finds far less excusable.
▌hobbies/activities: arts and crafts, tinkering away at new inventions, magic, studying, reading, cooking/baking, singing, dancing, playing music (guitar, violin, drums, trumpet), swimming, surfing, horseback riding, and video games.
▌ever hurt anyone before:  yes. ▌ever killed anyone before: yes.
▌animal that represents them: horse, cat.
▌worst habits: comforting others but neglecting to comfort herself. isolating herself instead of talking to others. similarly, failing to communicate when there’s a problem—a habit that she formed from her days spent as her own father’s servant. the same days that taught her that it was wiser to stay quiet.
▌role models: nereus, hestia, the telkhines.
▌sexual orientation: pansexual.
▌thoughts on marriage/kids: complicated for the former. she resisted marriage for much of her early rule out of fear that she would only get used by someone who seeks to rob her of her power. with regards to kids, though, she has always been fond of them—especially the disadvantaged. the ones who are abandoned or mistreated for things that they cannot help. the unfortunate souls who have done nothing wrong except be born to parents who can't love.
she, herself, was such a child—a lonely, sorrowful child. and, yet, as she soothed her newborn cousin, chiron, for the first time, anger became her—not sorrow. how? how could anyone do this to a child? how could anyone just abandon an innocent infant without a second thought? the unfairness of it all gave her the resolve to better the lives of as many children as she could—whether it'd be by mentoring them, nurturing them, or flat-out adopting them as her own.
a happy child, to her, represents a brighter future.
▌fears: being worthless. not being of use to anyone. being discarded.
▌style preferences: flowing fabrics that do not stifle her nor restrict her movement. clothes that she could hide in if necessary. a color palette that would seem fitting for a deep sea witch: black with darker shades of blue and purple. comfort above all else with little regard for what is currently popular or trending. lastly, a stubborn disdain for shoes—unless they're silly (like shark slippers).
▌someone they love: her wife, amphi.
their love did not start out as a fairytale. po was much too guarded—much too jaded—to offer anything more than pragmatism when she initially proposed the idea of marriage. a partnership is what she called it. a partnership.
amphi gets: the title of queen (and all the powers and privileges that come with it).
po gets: someone to help her bear the burden of leadership.
win-win all around—especially since po did not require that they spend time together outside of the throne room. while not exactly a romantic offer, po did not think that it was a terrible one either. in her eyes, she was making a high-reward, low-risk offer. she even sweetened the deal by saying that she was fine with an open relationship—that she was fine with amphi taking as many lovers as she pleases. the promise of freedom is what po thought she added—so, it surprised her (not to mention stung a little) when amphi fled.
however, they eventually came to an understanding—and, with understanding, came a friendship that slowly blossomed into a romance.
▌approach to friendships: po shies away from them like a hermit crab—but longs for them like a flower longs for the sun. because of her childhood trauma—which made her so accustomed to loneliness—she struggles to make friends (even more so to define what a friend is). she can count on one hand people that she would say she is close to—but she tends not to vocalize that because what if she had it all wrong?
▌thoughts on pie: comforting. not as fun to decorate as cakes but enjoyable to eat. ace with vanilla ice cream. ▌favourite drink: smoothies. ▌favourite place to spend time at: her workshop on olympus.   ▌swim in the lake or in the ocean: ocean. ▌their type: a kind heart. a heart that does not judge others for their appearance nor things that they cannot easily change. a heart that tries to understand rather than immediately judge. ▌camping or indoors: camping because nature always has a way of inspiring her.

different anon here--I got something similar with Artemis in ch9. my PC wrote letters to Hestia and Demeter when they got letters from them (Demeter's was just 'stay out of my life thx' and Hestia's was 'things down here are pretty great actually!'), but never directly wrote a letter to Artemis. but when my PC told her they felt like they belonged in the Underworld, she said "Nothing you wrote me seemed to indicate you liked the place much, really."
it went on from there with "You suppose that's true enough. Maybe the things you said weren't wholeheartedly negative or anything, but they weren't especially enthused, either.
"I guess it just sort of… grew on me," you admit with a shrug. "Like… at first it was daunting and strange, but then I started to see what was really there."
