I feel like a toddler being the wheel of a semi-truck.#But I've learned that the most important thing about art is to just dive in and start. I've learned a lot from my failures!#There is probably a more efficient way to do all of this. I'm using CPS and as of 20 min ago I just found out that animation folders-#-and regular folders are *different*. So I'm hopeful the rest of this animation goes well!#Shout out to Jiang Yanli for getting that man pregnant. MXTX told me herself that he carried Jin Ling to term with no complications.#How? How you ask? Well. I imagine it was a sea-horse situation. He has a pouch where he keeps his young.#He went from calling her names and trying to break off the wedding to having pregnancy cravings. Character growth.

#art #gif #obey me #this was meant to be a quick test. it was not quick. i think this is was the longest i've spent on drawing something since rolling ik #for some reason procreate keeps fucking up the colours on export and i'm too tired to figure out how to make it stop #can you tell that satan and lucifer were animated first?#funnily enough satan showing ik his book was pretty simple but lucifer walking was like. impossible. he kept turning out fucked up #i was so worn out by the end of it that everyone else's animations are way simpler #(the walk still doesn't look right but i've made peace with that.... i should've done some tutorials or smth first)#(such is my hubris: when i try to do new art things it's mainly by brute-forcing my way through it and hoping it works)#jtta ik #obey me lucifer #obey me mammon #obey me leviathan #obey me satan #obey me asmodeus #obey me beelzebub #obey me belphegor #anyway i'd like to experiment more with trying to animate things in future so!! look forward to that?

Heaven and Earth

Undertale Animation (Song used: Southern Snow by Radical Face)

One last love letter to these brothers before I try desperately to ignore their existence in favor of enjoying Deltarune more properly…

I really wanted to capture a few specific feelings, the main one being of “giving up everything for a person you love”. The only real story I have is pretty vague, and more just a situation that could have hypothetically happened in their backstory. Sans and Papyrus lived in Deltarune, until Papyrus really fucked up and he had to leave because of his mistakes, and Sans, while not having to also leave, chooses to come with him.

Sans in Undertale always talks about wanting to “go back home”, but we never hear any of that from Papyrus. And yet…he showed up one day and asserted himself right alongside Sans. So whats with that??? This introduces the idea that instead of just forgetting, maybe he really doesn’t want to go back…Or isnt the type to linger on the past, either or.

They both are able to live happy lives after this, it’s just a big sacrifice on both of their parts- Sans for leaving a life he loves, behind, and Papyrus for giving up on fixing what he’s destroyed. I wanted to convey a feeling of…helpless but certainty. All they can do is run, but theyre both the type to persevere no matter what. ofc their ways are a tad different from each other, but you get me.

But thats another thing, the only reason why they feel this way is because they’re going somewhere they don’t want to be, but the only reason why they persevere no matter what is because they stick together.

The line “id move from heaven to earth for you” is ofc a play on “id move heaven and earth for you”. Sans is moving from a world where they have a nice fresh start, are NOT stuck underground, and like 100 other things that arent there in Undertale... To UNDERTALE. He’s moving from heaven to…not hell, the underground isnt that bad. but definitely much lesser than heaven-

But ya :D I feel such strong emotions towards these 2 morons, and I gotta dump it all out somewhere before I try to focus on Deltarune things…
