You know your mythology better than some of my own kind, it seems! When the Constructicons secretly rebuilt one of your Earth cities into the fearsome Decepticon, so far as they were concerned, he was named “Trypticon” for his three modes: city, mobile battle station, and dinosaur. But this name was written into legend; indexed deep within their memory banks, to be proffered through subconscious recall. It’s perhaps best to think of Trypticon as a reincarnation—not unlike the Constructicons themselves.

There are conflicting accounts of that primeval era—and I was there for most of them, naturally. It was believed that the beast was older even than my brethren, closer to the Trans-Organics than the Transformers; it was indeed Onyx who succeeded in taming him, and gave him his name. The old stories speak of a fearsome warrior amongst Onyx’s pack, a three-headed dragon, whose valor was the measure of mechs thrice his size.

In those myths that describe Trypticon’s creation at my brothers’ hands, it was Mortilus, not Onyx, who sired the living crypt. But Mortilus did not have a possessive temperament; he gladly shared Trypticon with Onyx, the Void Scepter with our fallen brother, and Death with all the universe.

Time for more Mythic AUs!

Cyberdemon Genji: The Hashimoto clan interfered in Hanzo and Genji's battle. Hanzo was killed, and Genji's body was too far gone. All that could be salvaged was his brain and heart. When Mercy and Mina Liao saved him, he reacted worse than he ever could've. In his rage, he killed some Overwatch soldiers and injured many more. He eventually wound up back in Japan and decimated the Hashimoto entirely in one night, no matter who got in the way. He would go on to do the same to any other Yakuza clans that filled the void until any remaining disbanded themselves lest they earn the rage of the Cyberdemon. But one woman injured in the Hashimoto massacre has set out to help her old friend: Kiriko.

Adventurer Tracer: in this world of magic and myth, of castles and crusades, of dungeons and dragons, Lena Oxton is an adventurer looking for a crew to quest with as she advances her skills. (Sorry I don't have much, the game kinda did a lot for her already. Same with Starwatch)

Onryō Hanzo: In the same universe where Genji was made almost completely robotic as the Cyberdemon, Hanzo didn't truly die. However, he came very close. He's still not all there, he's almost between life and death. Only made worse by the one who found him: Moira O'Deorain. She took his nearly dead body and enacted the same procedure she would one day use on herself and Gabriel Reyes. What was left is barely human, and prone to short bits of rage among long periods of deathly calm. Talon wasn't able to contain him, and he has seen the wreckage left by the Cyberdemon. Finally, a worthy opponent.

Ancient Caller Moira: this world is full of dark magic and monsters. It's not a pleasant one, even as some groups combat the growing darkness. It is a futile battle, but the Ancient Caller will work among these "heroes" for as long as it benefits her. The dead part of her doesn't care what happens. The living part of her enjoys watching these ants run.

Sorry but I have no ideas for Amaterasu Kiriko, Thor Reinhardt, or Pixiu Zenyatta, and I'm not gonna do Sentai Ashe or Sailor Juno, or whatever they're called.

I'm in a college band class. I am struggling to find sheet music of rvb songs for a symphonic band (brass, woodwind, percussion, no strings, no piano). If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Before New Years if possible. what is Wildfire's semblance? My only idea is maybe absorbing sources of heat like fire to fuel their own aura as well as the aura of others.

I love that Idea, and a name popped in my head for it immediately;

Cauterize

The other biggest idea I had was;

Stirling

Effectively this is the opposite of Cauterize - Being empowered by Fire and Heat like Nora is - Fire acting as Jaune's Semblance Amping ability.

It's gonna be hard to choose between the two, given the kind of person that Wildfire is.

Other less interesting ideas I had were

Infusing Dust into their aura to it's full potential and efficiency

Thermal Kinesis - being able to manipulate heat around them instead of just producing it, such as drawing the heat out of a fluid and pushing it into an object

Heat Haze - Being able to "teleport" Between large enough sources of Fire

I do really like the Idea of Wildfire sitting by a campfire to heal and recover like in Dark Souls

But I also really like the idea if them injecting themself with Fire Dust to get that last boost they need to win a fight

After all, Wildfire is a Survivalist - being able to Recover is a necessity for survival, but so is being able to push yourself a little too hard to live until tomorrow.

Oscar semblance idea: Aura Linking. Think like this, let's say Ren's aura is 200 HP, Oscar's is 200, Nora's is 300, and Jaune's is 700. When Oscar is near them, we'll say within the same visible area, each of them will have 1400 HP. This would help reinforce the fact that they should be within the same area because this boy needs to stop getting kidnapped or disappearing. Perhaps he could use this to selectively gain a boost from enemy aura, like Cinder has 200 HP so Oscar gets 400 HP. Thoughts?

Hmm, interesting! I do like the extra initiative for the group to stay near to Oscar lmao, but I'd hope caring about him/fear of losing him again would be reason enough to watch his back :P

The two hesitations I have about this are

It's very similar to Jaune's semblance, as both involve buffing others' aura

It introduces a complex specificity to aura that I feel could complicate things unnecessarily. Sometimes magic systems benefit from being a bit more vague and less scientific/mathematical, as getting bogged down in numbers and logistics can be limiting or time-consuming.

Then again, we have seen aura bars on scrolls and scoreboards, and I feel like I remember percentages being brought up during the tournament? So there's definitely a precedent for the possibility of such a semblance... again, I could even see this already being a function of Jaune's semblance we simply don't know about yet.

But the gaining a boost from enemy aura is fascinating... it would tie in with how Oscar treats allies and adversaries alike as individuals capable of change and growth. I'd probably pick a semblance that leans more into defining traits like that, or his resilience, insightfulness, realism, etc, etc

So now that the Fire Starter Pokémon Zodiac theory is, unfortunately, breaking thanks to Fuecoco, is there any pattern you thunk could replace it?

It's not the funnest answer, but I think there's probably not an intentional pattern with the starters.

You could try to connect Fuecoco to the Zodiac theory by way of male crocodiles being called bulls, but so are a lot of other animals, so I don't think it's good justification.

I don't personally have a different pattern theory for them, but I think the pattern theories are fun, and if anyone has another pattern for the Fire Starters, please share!

Also, neat Starr semblance idea. Better than my idea of an aura band she places on herself or others to improve memory, whoops. I know you said she's unlicensed, but teammates would still be neat! I came up with the ideas of Thari Bajie, a pig-eared faunus who can become lighter than air, Arsi Wujing, a big guy who basically becomes a big Marvel Sandman type golem, and Rionnag Longma, who's semblance lets him turn into a big horse, as Team STAR.

ALSO also, any semblance ideas for Theodore? My idea is Wayfinder, which would let him find the way towards wherever or to who/whatever he needs to go to in the form of a glowing yellow path, a literal yellow brick road semblance.

No! I think that's a great semblance idea! It's like the reverse of Yatsuhashi's and could prove useful to our hero's if it was canon. I also like your ideas for the rest of the JTTW pilgrims and their possible semblances! Especially Wujing's—I'm a big fan of Spider-Man, and I've always had a soft spot for Sandman from his rouge's gallery.

As for Theodore, I have thought about it a little, but haven't come up with one I really like or am set on as a personal hc/theory. Possibly something similar to Raven's 'Kindred Link's, but where he taps his gloves together a set number of times and it opens a portal to places he associates with 'home/safety' like his office at Shade, for instance. Idk what I'd call it; 'No Place Like Home's is a little too on the nose, y'know?

That or something to do with maximizing the power of his punches, or that his semblance causes his opponents to spin when hit, mimicking a tornado or something—like I said, still working shopping 🤭✨

Love love love the idea of 'Wayfinder' though! 😍 That would be a truly handy Semblance to have. Plus, it fits in w/ his story allusion to Dorothy twice! Not only is there the yellow brick road aspect, but to be directed to some place or someone known to him could also play into the ending of Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy clicks her silver/ruby slippers together and says 'There's no place like home!'—which is kinda what this Semblance hc does!! Very neat! ✨✨

So the Quirk Marriage master list does contain all the Quirk Marriages I have done. Granted, some of them are from before I started limiting what kind of Quirks I used and I won't cover those Quirks any more, like the ones you mentioned. Still, I made them, and they deserved to be archived. The list is still updated with the Quirk Marriages I have made. It's being maintained by the one the person who made it, @anonymously20-blog. I wanted to ask because one of my classmates has this disability, and certain businesses aren't accustomed to someone who cannot walk (though fortunately our school has such capabilities for such people)

Yes, our kind understands how it is to live with these kinds of conditions. You are not alone, in this regard. Though a Cybertronian may have limited physical mobility for many different reasons, injuries sustained during our eons-long war are to blame for the vast majority of cases of paralysis suffered by our kind. Where circuit-surgery has been unable to restore motion, we have developed and employed all kinds of mobility aids, using wheels, treads, or hover-technology. I know that over the course of Shockwave’s lengthy guardianship of Cybertron, many of his soldiers came to suffer debilitating wounds at the hands of the Autobot resistance; rather than retire or recycle these soldiers, he would employ them as guards, seated in tank-like chairs to patrol the halls of his vast fortress.

Truly, it can happen to anyone. I have recollection of a timeline where Optimus Prime himself took a fusion cannon blast to the waist while protecting Chip Chase, and his backstrut was damaged beyond repair. Inspired by Chip’s wheelchair, he had Ratchet and Hoist refashion his trailer with a new secondary mode, allowing it to change into a wheelchair while he was in robot form.

I think it’s also worth mentioning that many Cybertronians do not have a bipedal configuration in the first place; some of us have wheels which we use to get around even in our primary forms. The most prominent example you will likely know of is probably Rattrap—when he was reformatted into a fully techno-organic body, his legs were replaced with wheels. Having already grown accustomed to using his Transmetal “Knievel mode”, the heroic Maximal didn’t find it too difficult to adapt to this change… which was more than could be said for his lack of weapons in this new form!

Fortunately, Cybertron is a planet where rolling is as natural to us as walking. Even the planet itself has evolved to accommodate this, with staircases being able to convert into ramps and back again. Such is the nature of a world which is constantly transforming.

ngl I feel like Ghost got shafted a bit. Like yeah she didn't die after two seconds like Taskmaster (kinda funny how one of the best MCU refonceptualized characters killed one of the worst ones), but of the main team, she got the least focus. For a lot of it she was just there, and she really didn't get enough of a chance to shine on her own, what with the constant use of sonic weaponry against her. She also was the only one in the basement who didn't get a flashback. Hell, could've done something with Bill Foster (Lawrence Fishburne), her adoptive dad. He's not been seen since 2018, and this movie is 2027. Did he die? Was he snapped? Did Ghost? Both? Neither?

Also, there's certain other characters that could've been good in this movie, thiugh they'd risk clogging it.

originally, I thought of Netflix heroes (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Cloak and Dagger, etc), but they might show up in the (hopefully much more interesting and connected-to-MCU) second season of Daredevil

Karl Mordo hasn't been seen since 2016. We know he's had run-ins with Strange, but that's it. He could've fit very well, maybe even explain that his own magic has gotten weaker from abusing it to steal magic from those he saw as abusing magic

Hercules was tasked by Zeus to attack Earth, but that was 2025. Where is he? Valentina could've made great use of a big strong kinda dumb guy who lives for the fight.

I honestly thought Sharon Carter would have some connection to the Sentry Serum, especially since she was the Power Broker who distributed the Super Soldier Serum to highest bidders.

G'iah could've been sent by Britain to ascertain whether Valentina was making America a threat to other countries. I know everyone besides me hated Secret Imvasion for whatever reason, but I like it.

Even Peter Quill could've fit. Maybe he'll be an Avenger (part of the real Avengers team), but he's also an outlaw. Either way, he's not just gonna sit still with his grandpa in Minnesota.

I do feel that Ghost got less attention than she deserved. She's one of my faves- especially for her abilities, and her actor is. So pretty. So lovely. Oh my god.

I would have loved to see more of an insight into her own mind, especially since (like you said) she was one of the four in the vault!! It would have been pretty easy to slip something in during their escape, but I suppose they didn't want to make the movie repetitive or give audiences too good of an understanding of what exactly was going on with Bob. It would have been fun to see a moment explaining her position on the team a bit better than just "shes a merc with nowhere else to go". Seriously, where is Bill Foster?

Either way, I'm filling that void (ha) with fanfics in the meantime. I try not to get too bogged down with what ifs- anything could have been different in this movie, but we got what we god, and I had fun with it! Questions about certain characters and their motivations and parts to play are always a part of marvel movies, especially ones focusing on multiple "main characters" rather than one specific hero. Half of the fun is coming up with our own justifications and filling in any parts of the story with what we, as the viewers, headcanon. And maybe replacing some parts of canon too. For funsies :3

Tangent aside, I do think it's fun to speculate on who could have shown up! I think it's very possible that these characters could work alongside or join the Thunderbolts in the future, especially if we're considering them to actually be filling some sort of role as the "New Avengers" (or like,,, second Avengers. Maybe. This whole thing with two Avengers is Interesting). You raise a lot of good points about people who could be included and why. Good for theorising, at the very least,,,

I'm just sort of imagining how each of them would interact with the Thunderbolts and it's. Interesting. Very fun. Might mess around with that later.

honestly i go back and forth in fanworks between wanting to have junior be like actually half human half sangheili or just having him be full sangheili and tucker was just like. uh. well for lack of a better term like. the incubator… to answer your question though uh. i think in canon he’s probably just a sangheili BUT it is interesting to think about. like. i’m season 13 they DO use the sangheili language so like there is some reference to sangheili there but for the most part they just call them “aliens” without being specific and very clearly juniors birth is very different from how sangheili ACTUALLY reproduce so they could just be a completely different species WHICH MEANS it’s possible that like. the “armor” that junior is born with is actually like a carapace of some kind? i mean obviously machinima limitations of the medium but it’s interesting to think about for fanworks i think. he’s bugs… it matches with the kind of parasitic embryo thing i feel like that’s more a bugs thing than a reptiles thing... don’t fact-check me on that im just vibing here.

BUT in terms of what an actual half human/half sangheili child would look like. we actually have some old drawings of our design for him? NO idea if it makes any sort of biological sense it was purely based on what seemed cool. like i said were vibing. actually hang on.

Hey just wondering, what are the weapons and semblances of Eren, Dawne, Cadmine, and Zhe?

Eren

Weapon(s) - Longbow, can use Dust to enhance arrows, Seax Style shortsword. Currently Unnamed.

Semblance - EndoThermic Dynamo: Absorbs thermal energy from her surroundings, rapidly lowering the surrounding temperature, and increasing her physical strength relative to the amount of heat absorbed.

Dawne

Weapon(s) - Longsword/DMR with selective fire, usually set to Fully automatic or burst. I am torn between its name being "Horizon Line" and "Salvador Morado"

Semblance - Ego Boost: The more attention and adoration he receives improves his Aura's durability and Combat prowess.

Cadmine:

Weapon(s) - a Scutum Shield and a Falx/pistol. The Falx/pistol is named "Actus" and the shield is "Neglectus."

Semblance - Warp: Not Warp as in teleport, but warp as in to Bend and Distort; Physics becomes unstable in Cadmine's wake. Gravity changes, temperature rises and falls randomly, etc. depending on how hard she uses her semblance. She has some control over what happens and how much it happens. But not a lot.

She's like a Wild Magic Barbarian.

Zhe

Weapon(s) - You know those Cannons the bad guy from Kung-fu Panda 2 Has? he has one of those but it's a Rocket Launcher/recoilless rifle platform. And he has a Meteor Hammer that he sometimes load into his RPG. Both are Unnamed.

Semblance - Embrittle: The target Suffers from severely weakened Aura and Physical resilience. like they have Osteoporosis and stuff.

Role Requeue: Reinhardt

Part 2: Rise of Turret-hardt

(So glad I get use that again.) Now, before we get to his move set, let’s go over some suggestions and questions about Turret-hardt.

Absolute Unit

The most frequent suggestion I got was not making Reinhardt a sentry. @anonymously20-blog recommended that Reinhardt merely lose his limbs, and have them be replaced. They also recommended that Torbjorn make the new body similar to the crusader armor. Both of these answers defeat the whole point of killing Reinhardt. He would still be the size of a tank with either of those suggestions. He needs an entirely new body shape to fit another role.

I myself considered cutting Reinhardt in half and putting him in a futuristic wheelchair. But then I realized the true problem with Reinhardt’s size. He’s not too tall. He’s too wide. Even at half his size he would be too wide.

And it’s not his armor that’s the problem. It’s his natural size. We’ve all seen the Honor and Glory cinematic. Reinhardt perfectly fills out his massive armor. So his body just has to go.

Reinhardt’s jarring size requires a jarring solution: a entirely new body.

Head in the Game

@purplekoop recommended that Reinhardt just be too injured to continue the fight, and having a procedure would be too risky for him or his friends.

I don't see that happening. Reinhardt will let nothing stop him from joining the fight, even when he really should not join in the fight. That's why I considered wheelchair Reinhardt. Reinhardt would absolutely go through a dangerous procedure for a chance to continue the fight. Also, I don't know how a procedure can be dangerous for others.

However, you are right that having Reinhardt possess the turret is not the best idea. It flies in the face of Overwatch's themes and lore. If Torbjorn can just "hard work pays off" Reinhardt's soul into a turret, then why can't that happen for characters like Gerard? We need a different solution. I don't want a neural network like Echo. As then it would not be Reinhardt. It would instead be technically a new character. You wouldn't call Echo "just Mina Liao". No, she is her own person.

However, after a bit of brainstorming, I created a solution that allows Reinhardt to be in a new body, still be Reinhardt, and not conflict too much with the lore.

Reinhardt did not die after Operation Whitedome, but he was close. He was barely holding on. His body could not be recovered. Torbjorn went right to work after his own recovery. Through the research of Ziegler, Liao, and even O'Deorain, Torbjorn was able to preserve Reinhardt's brain and insert it into a turret. Reinhardt now lives on through the turret, through a slightly more reasonable way.

Much like how Koop suggested, Reinhardt is linked in with the turret. He can control it with his mind, because it is literally his body.

Appearance

Now, the main reason why its best if Reinhardt's body is a turret is because it creates a clear connection to Torbjorn. If Reinhardt was just some random human-esque machine then you could think that anyone could have built him. But if it's a turret shape, then you instantly know it was Torbjorn.

Now, originally I wanted to just put Reinhardt in one of these special push turrets:

But now I have a slightly different idea. Instead of having some random black block, Reinhardt should have a hammer on the end.

No matter what, I do believe that Turret-hardt should have Crusader Armor plating. It would help match him to his old aesthetics. The hammer should also obviously be similar to his current hammer.

Moveset

His primary fire would be a simple Swing. It would have less range than his normal hammer swing. You can charge a swing to give it more knockback and damage. I decided to to add this charge mechanic because it sounds new and fun. But also because it adds some depth and skill expression than just mindlessly swinging. Mindlessly swinging would also just not be effective in this.

His secondary fire would be Fire Blast. It's similar to fire strike, except that it actually has ammo, and can be fired much more frequently. The shots still pierce, but they do less damage. The come out from little cannons on the side of the turret.

His first ability is Sweep. Reinhardt stands firm and spins around, knocking all enemies back.

His second ability is Dash. Using a vent on his back, Reinhardt dashes forward (akin to a Hanzo lunge, but longer). If you charge a swing beforehand, you can store the charge and carry it with you. You can even release the swing to hit an opponent mid-air!

His ultimate is Earthquake. Reinhardt slams the ground with his hammer. Sending a circular shockwave around him that stuns all enemy players. It's based off that skill shown in one of the initial Overwatch 2 trailers.

Also, much like Torbjorn and Bastion, Reinhardt will have a small amount of armor.

Conclusion

Overall, I like the idea. No matter how good it actually is. And, nonetheless, I will be stealing the idea for my Overwatch ripoff.

I tried my best to preserve the playstyle of rushing in and going ham. I gave what could be the most feasible reason for Reinhardt being smaller. I elaborated on ideas that weren't thought out too well. I'd say Reinhardt is done.

But then I'd be lying. The complexity of this requeue is a source for confusion and new ideas. I am certain that there has been something I've missed as well. And I'm subsequently certain that "that something" will only occur to me after part 2 is released. So, part 3 is not a question of if, but when. Feel free to give any suggestions or questions.

Next, I will focus on a new... matter of perspective. Hahahahaha
