Are those little dolls made to look like 3zun as animals in the most recent comic? I need to know how/when Nie Mingjue got those. Are they gifts from Lan Xichen or Nie Huaisang? Did Jin Guangyao sew them himself and stuff them full of evil talismans in case the song didn't work? So many possibilities.

The 3zun dolls were a self-indulgent reference to this (previously abandoned) doodle! As for who made them in universe? I'll leave it up for interpretation B*)

THE TENT WAS HUGE . bigger on the inside than link had quite anticipated . light streamed down , glowing a golden color through the canvas stretched high overhead . streamers and flags decorated the ceiling , fluttering with the movement of patrons and the round fans mounted to every other post .

BOTH BOYS HAD DETOURED for a brief pit stop , grabbing sandwiches as they looked over the market map displayed on the sheikah slate . if not to catch their bearings again , then certainly to allow link the chance to rest his leg .

Person A is pawnshop owner who works with Person B, an exiled god who smuggles godly relics and items from other realms and is very good at locating them in the human world. Person A gives Person B a place to stay off the radar of other gods, since Person A has a blessing that makes them undetectable to any supernatural entity and it rubs off on those around them, so as long Person B stays in their vicinity frequently, they will be indistinguishable from a normal human. Normally, Person B would be an easy target to any supernatural hunter without Person A’s gift, but is able to live a relatively normal and mundane life. But in exchange, they help Person A acquire real and genuine relics to sell to their more high paying customers. Person A doesn’t care about the money though, since their true passion is just collecting silly and pointless antiques, and the only way to keep their shop running without financial stress is to have some very expensive items for those who know how to ask.

Plot Hook

The city of Damascus is the PCs next stop in my Age of Antiquity campaign. One of the plot-hooks is that they learn about a hidden well in the city has magical properties that grant those who drink it immunity to fire damage for up to a week. A cult of Ishtar jealously guards the well, but the local Roman praefectus in charge of the legionaries and local Syrian auxiliaries suspects its existence. Players may choose to get involved to help the cult or help the Romans.

Me and @rebloot were like "let's watch bad bl animes and laugh at them" and the one we wanted to watch we couldn't find online to pirate so im like "Uh uh uh let's watch Antique Bakery that looks sorta mid let's see what it's about" and like we're 5 episodes in and OH MY FUCKING GOD WHY ARE WE SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED, I ACTUALLY HAD TO STAND UP AND TAKE A WALK AROUND MY BASEMENT CAUSE OF A EPISODE AND LIKE THE DRAMA WAS TOO MUCH I WAS LIKE SO PISSED BUT IN THAT GOOD WAY OF EMOTIONALLY INVESTED YA KNOW. I am having such a love hate love relationship with this anime dear god, as rebloot says "it's kinda outdated but also really really funny". Like some moments I do have to be like WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WHAT IS HAPPENEINGGGG STOPPPPP NOOO and others im like "YOU'RE GAY ACCEPT IT YOU'RE A HOMOSEXUAL AND OWN IT" and punching the wall. We also do not remember a single name so we've been referring to them as "gay guy, sunglasses guy, boxer and main guy" we do not stand a chance bruh. Also WE'RE REALLY REALLY HUNGRY IM STARVING IM SALIVATING

it's been so weird to play dai again after finishing trespasser bc like... I already knew from the end game that he's the dread wolf and that he lied (by omission, as is his way) to everyone throughout the whole game. the utterly tragic dynamic between him and a romanced lavellan was ROUGH.

but y'know what's been the most painful, what made even the next playthrough really hurt?

his agents.

he has agents. he gathered them. they've infiltrated the inquisition and presumably elsewhere. I guess... maybe that one hurt more because it was a total surprise to me, but that aches.

he's not necessarily working against the inquisition, just toward his own goals, which may or may not lead to the destruction of the current world, but it's so... idk. it hurts. you're traveling with him and he has his agents and he's doing his thing.

it's really not that different from everyone else... until/unless he's declared tal-vashoth, bull is obviously associated with the ben hassarath. leliana has far more agents than you could ever know. morrigan is nothing but secrets. varric kept hawke secret and is very possibly keeping his other friends secret. vivienne has secrets and ploys throughout the whole game. sera has the red jennies. dorian might be one of the only companions with no current connections, but he eventually returns to tevinter and establishes his own political movement. blackwall's entire fucking arc.

not all of these are bad, granted. but it's also like... solas really isn't that different. so why does it hurt so much? maybe it makes everything he does feel more... idk, deliberate? maybe it's bc it paints a picture of an "active" betrayal rather than a "passive" one? maybe it's bc now it's undeniably happening during the events of the game, rather than before and after the main plot? maybe because it makes it clear that he never really stopped, even head over heels in love and desperate to confess?

I genuinely don't know why it bothers me so much. I've given it a lot of thought and not come up with a satisfactory answer.
